You have all the opinions of real people who consumed the products and services of Celebrities Nightclub (Night Club) in the territory close to Barkerville (Canada).
Right now the business has a score of 3.6 out of 5 and the score is based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an feddbacks average is really positive, and it's based on a very large number of scores, so we may conclude that the evaluation is very accurate. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they are pleased with the business, it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to place tatings when they are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...
This Night Club belongs to the category of Night club.
They host a variety of EDM shows. It's a little small inside. But they have good light shows.
Very good club in one of the best places in the world
I like the variety of EDM music here.
Omg like the best place for letting urself out of the closet
Overpriced cover, overpriced drinks, horrible DJs. If you want to pay 7 dollars a drink and hear terrible EDM drops for a night this is the place to be.
Awesome lighting and sound. Great place for DJ events and always packed on Tuesdays.
Boss Limousine Service appreciate all the business that Celebrites Night Club brings us. Our customers request us to use our SUV limo service for pickup drop off to your night club! Keep up the good work
I have spent too many nights here having way too much fun with friends that I love ✌️
Great little club with upgraded lights and stuff... Used to be known as THE gay bar on Davie, but not so gay these days.
The bouncers are aggressive
Bad music. Over priced and quite boring.
Great music and atmosphere for dancing
Probably the best EDM club in Vancouver
Positives: we showed up on time with tickets for an event. We got in fairly quickly to an emptyish club and got our stuff in coat check without hassle Negatives: the atmosphere in celebrities was so predatory. Guys just forcefully grinding with girls and ready to fight. They made my female friend uncomfortable and one guy was trying to fight me towards the end of the night because I put myself between them. Like, get the hint! The worst part of it were the bartenders. I asked one guy for water and he gave me attitude so I moved to another bartender who yelled at me for being rude for not saying please. The first bartender finally got us water in the midst of the second bartenders rant but it really pissed me off. For a place that has bouncers wearing shirts reminding us to "stay hydrated" they sure know how to keep you from doing just that. I get that as a bartender you make money off of us ordering drinks but it's also In the club's best interest to make sure everyone there is hydrated. If you don't want to give us water then sell me a bottled water but at least be respectful. As the night progressed the dancefloor became extremely crowded, the crowd got drunker and the guys got more desperate and the atmosphere became hostile. The show was great though, maybe it would be been better at another venue.
Amazing sound system and their events are always fun!
Decent night club where you can go to see a lot of big names in electronic music and still see them up close. There's the main level with a dance floor, a few table service areas surround the dance floor, and a small second level where you can sit and look down on the crowd. Drinks can be a little watered down. Recommend getting tickets in advance so you don't have to pay a cover.
(Translated) A family with atmosphere, the former lively is evocative (Original) 有氣氛的一家,從前的熱鬧令人回味
More than decent venue.
After all these years, Celebrities is still one of the best clubs in Vancouver
This is a great nightclub! Perfect DJ. I love there! The entrance is really responsible for checking ID and the security make sure everyone is safe.
Disappointment...
Cool ceiling
The bartender will give you attitude if you ask them for water. Very patronizing and rude for no reason.
Go here if you want to hear amazing music and dance. Good luck trying to talk to anyone. Also, make like Ludacris and throw dem bows because people are packed like sardines.
Best sound system in Vancouver
Excelent sound system. Live shows.
Absolutely fabulous!
Tons of fun on pride, always a good time.
Dirty, smelled, washroom attendant why?
There's definitely been changes over the years, and I do miss the old ambiance. Still good fun though, good music, lots of open areas, 2 bars.
One of the best EDM clubs in Vancouver. Very spacious and great sound.
Such a pety the entrance staff is discriminating people because otherwise the club is quite good... I felt bad as they demanded 3 times my IDs and asked me to pay the full entrance fee because it was 11:10 so 10min too late, can't even get the student price, eventhough I arrived at 10:50... The information between the staff in front of the club and the staff at the entrance wasn't the same, don't know why... They didn't let my friend in because he is gay? This club can be really good but they seem to do not trust people, that's a shame. Anyway, thanks a lot to the waiter, providing fast and smiling service!
service is wonderful and the music is awesome but cover is super expensive 70 dollars
“Hi” t shirts, EDM only, boiled egg smells and fur vests. I think not, do yourself a favour and go somewhere else. I’d suggest the gas station with headphones.
Went here to see a couple of EDM DJ shows. No complaints, great atmosphere, love the gender neutral washrooms. Drinks are pricey but what else is new. Wish the surrounding area was a bit livelier.
Great spot for night club fun and if you like to dance, not for creepers or bros.
Went New Years Eve for midnight balloon drop. Paid the $50 ticket beforehand on their site for a line skip, I guess? Nothing was physically included with the ticket, so not sure how it was different than just walking in. Expected it to be packed, and it was, so that wasn’t the issue. Basically, music was atrocious (I’m 23, so no excuse there). I expected the best of the best for NYE but they didn’t deliver even close to passable. Put bluntly, you need a little more than just alcohol to enjoy this DJ selection. Generic, repetitive, unsatisfying drops, beats and club hits all around. Basically press play and bounce around. Not sure if their mixboard was even connected. Ended up being an expensive night without the quality music and dancing to back it up. Lack security, extensive drug pushing and open bathrooms. What could go wrong? Wouldn’t really recommend this to anyone. Had an okay time with friends but would much rather go to Portside or something else that’s at least halfway decent next time.
Best nightclub in Vancouver for EDM, especially if you're into trance/house rather than trap/hip hop. Good quality sound, big name DJs most weekends, friendly staff. The only major downside is that the dance floor is fairly small and the club gets too full when they have big name DJs.
Used to be my favorite in Vancouver... When I used to party:) plenty of space for good dance , nice music , fare prices
Went yesterday to Ferry Corsten event. Everything went great. I arrived there around 11pm. It took me 5 minutes to get in and I didn't have to bribe anyone. Bartenders were friendly at all times. The venue is nice, fantastic sound and lights. Definitely coming back!
wicked sound system. if you stand in front of the sub you can feel the bass throughout your body.
It gets too hot sometimes because the AC is either broken or too low.
Hell of a line but nice place to party. It is worth the time you spend on the line.
Draws a great crowd. One of the hippest spots in the city right now. Hosts some pretty big EDM events and got lots happening.
Hyphy
Used to be a gay bar specializing in top 40 diva craphouse...now it's a skank bar for overdressed people who aren't good at handling alcohol or drugs and who think they're into trance. Horrible. Absolutely awful.
good luck getting a drink if you’re a straight guy, oh and also “the tip isn’t included in your bill” I’m an end of the night tipper.
Remember to always buy your tickets before the party from their website, otherwise you'll have to pay $90 plus $20 cash for security if you want to skip the lane. The celebriteis underground was very poor couple lights and very dusty because that's a nightclub made from a old basement I do not recommend it. Celebrities upstairs is good. My favorite nightclub in Vancouver. The best Electronic music.
Where else are you going to go for latest edm scene in Vancouver? Make sure to go next door for some falafel, good way to end your night
Miss this place. It was where the texture of the world's culture was changed in the nineties.
Good place but i went long time ago. Gay friendly.
I went to an event at the underground and it was terrible, the door staff and bouncers are rude, the venue is a concrete bunker with absolutely terrible sound. This place is disgusting and not only that they store your personal information in their files for a year to do what they want with. It's gross. Going out isn't fun anymore.
Awesome on Tuesdays!
OMG this nightclub is badass, i mean the staff is amazing.. security is nice but kept the crazy people in check. this club really knows what they are doing and put alot of money to make this club amazing .. i felt like i was at a concert the sound system and lights.. just being on the dance floor feels amazing,, just watch out those spot lights will blind u for a sec..
Like other nightclub, not bad but not excellent. Okey, the place is beautiful but is not enough
Best club in town.
Nice place. Much better if you come with you friend or if you're handsome. Maybe that was just me. Awesome Dj's
Drinks were over priced. Venue is too loud to talk.
always have a blast when i go to celebrities. Don't go if you are homophobic or just not looking for fun
The worst party experience I've ever had (Saturday, Oct 7, 2017).
The music is good, but the staff is hit or miss, but generally I've found them to be very rude and condescending. Last time I was here I was lucky enough to find that the people working the bar on one side were very friendly, but the people working the bar on the other side were not, telling my friend they wouldn't give him more water until he bought another drink and getting irritated if we didn't leave a tip for every single drink we bought. I would recommend coming here if there's someone you want to see playing, but don't go out of your way to visit because unless you want to see someone playing here it's really not all that worth it.
If my favorite house djs didn't get booked to play here I wouldn't go. The bouncers act like they're protecting the president. Total ass hats. Drinks are ridiculously over priced. Most of the patrons are stuck up douche bags who clearly worship everything fake and meaningless. The club has Funktion-One speakers, which are really nice speakers...IF YOU SET THEM UP PROPERLY. So...in closing, save your money, time, and self respect. Don't go.
This place is the worst. It use to be a fun gay bar. Now it's filled mostly with 18 year old straight people. The worst.
Came in yesterday night, Alex and Blair were very friendly and helpfull!! Thank you again!!
Came in yesterday night, Alex and Blair were very friendly and helpfull!! Thank you again!!
Great venue and have amazing Djs on Tuesday nights! Clients always have a great time at Celebrities nightclub!
Best place to go downtown, along with MIA
Has gone downhill. I can no longer recommend. The venue has the framework for being a really cool place, but it seems to have failed on execution.
Fun club but I believe they have a dress code about shoes/heels.
PLEASE deal with your money-hungry bartenders: Was at Celebrities this past Saturday night (Nov 24, '18) for Yotto and was the designated driver for some friends. Bought my gf and I a round of beers and left tip. An hour later, asked the busy bartender for a cup of ice (only) and thanked him (no tip left). Another hour or so later, I saw no one was at the bar so I asked him for my second cup of ice. He asked me in an interrogating manner what I was doing with all the ice. Told him I was drinking it. He was instantly triggered and picked up his tip jar and said I need to be tipping more often if I'm drinking. I explained I was planning on tipping him at the end of the night but he was clearly angry and continued to tell me I should be tipping regardless. I was totally taken aback by his demeanor and told him to keep the ice and walked back to my group. I looked back at him, not sure what just happened. He then looked at me and made a motion for me to be quiet by putting his finger over his lips. I walked back to him as I felt taunted and asked him what is going on. He shouted "go away and leave me alone". The bartender was male, buzzed hair, overly muscular and tattooed up, and has an accent. Totally ruined my night. In my past years as a bartender, I would never ask a customer for tips, let alone for water. Scooping ice into a cup took him about half a second each time - that does not warrant a tip. I filled up my cup with water the rest of the night in the bathroom. Unfortunately I have tickets bought to another show here so I will be returning but my days here are coming to an end. I'll be bringing my pennies with me to the next show; that's about as much as I can spare for this level of service. A second star for my rating is left because they manage to book good electronic artists, but unfortunately I have to share the experience in this venue.
One of the better places to go for electronic shows. Generally where most of the good dj’s come to play
Best nightclub
Shout out to the miserable bartender from the Opiuo show last night. I hope your life gets better but you can't be taking it out on the customers man.
Pros: only spent 6 or 7 min in line waiting to get in; lots of attractive girls; girls from around the world; decently poured drinks; bouncers were kind; open late; great sound systems; awesome dance floor; cool lighting; attractive hired dancers Cons: the place didn't fill up until 11:30ish; lots of Asian girls (not a problem that they are Asian, but many don't speak English or aren't interested in non-Asians); super expensive drinks except on one night a week (I think Tuesday and i missed the cheap day); public transit was able to get me to the club, but not back (had to take a taxi) Ultimately: The place was pretty nice and I will go back when I'm in Vancouver again, but try to go on a day when drinks are cheaper.
The staff here are super welcoming and helpful.
My destination every-time I visit Vancouver. Super friendly and helpful staff, and the best atmosphere in Vancouver. Never disappoints.
My absolute favorite club in Vancouver. Never disappoints - if you can get in, that is
Cool club, nice staff and fairly priced drinks. 10 bucks (w/ tip) for your double Absolut on the rocks, 5 for a Heineken.
You should go for it
My friend was groped last night in there, i shout at the pig who did that. Next thing the security throws me out, the pig stays inside, they didn't even care.
Fun club but abit too much of a "concert" lay out which personally isn't my thing
Nice music, good drinks and and amazing dance floor. Love it !
Always a great time during for real love !
Love the place, the people and the atmosphere!
On a Tuesday is the place to be if you're single
It was okay. But the bouncer asking for $20 to have us skip the line struck me as a little odd. The line wasn't even that long. We declined and got in pretty quickly anyway. Glad we didn't pay extra to get into a mediocre party.
Nice place to go spend a weekend, great sound, a bit too crowded. Also known for its gay nights FYI
i wish the music was not THAT LOUD
Decent place for a Christmas party. Great bar staff, good drinks.
Awesome
(Translated) Not bad, but I feel that the quality of Chinese girls in Vancouver is generally the same, DJ is OK, everyone is very enthusiastic. (Original) 还不错,但是感觉温哥华 华人女生质量一般般,DJ还可以,大家都蛮热情
Fun night club with a great sound system. Better for ticketed shows than just a night out.
my favourite club in all of Vancouver! love the vibe and atmosphere, music is great too! If you want to have a good time its a must see!
Favourite club in town. Best sound system and event bookings and bartenders!
Good music, beautiful place.
Cool atmosphere inside, very dark and brightly lit. I've only been for blueprint events though so I can't say what it's like on a regular night.
I love this place. It seems that more and more my reviews and trending towards venues that serve alcohol and play loud music - this doesn't bother me. The staff here do their jobs well. The security outside has always managed the throngs of drunks without excessive force or rudeness. We are kept informed about waiting times and cover prices and have yet to wait "too" long. The frisks in the door are just enough to weed out the weapons but not too invasive. I have never had issues with security here. I only come out for specific headliner shows so my reviews have all come from experiences on nights when the music is top-notch and everyone is in a great mood. The service at the bar is quick and friendly although they do not run tabs - this would definitely be appreciated. The lights and sound systems are great, definitely a favourite of mine for taking in electronic shows. You will see a lot of younger guys wearing rave gears on these nights but it certainly beats the guys that go topless to the club... I mean seriously, how is that ever allowed anywhere? Feel free to wear more or less whatever, they're pretty welcoming to all attendees.
Can you please remind your bartenders that you provide water to patrons? I paid $50 to get in, and if I need some water I think it’s pretty reasonable that they provide a full glass.
Fun times
Great atmosphere, attentive staff and I always have great time with friends!
I am the team leader on the Pride Parade Float for 2 years now with Celebs and I have helped throw events in the underground with Vancity Street - simply the best and most iconic nightclub - feels like home!!
I love Vancouver
One of the best clubs in the city
Great music
Has changed so much over the years
Line up is always so long when the club is empty. The bartender didn't pour us water because she said I didn't tip enough.. Water...
Twink central. The drinks suck, no alcohol at all. The atmosphere and crowd are fun and all having a good time. My bf and I had a fun night.
Great place to catch and EDM show or just go out for a night of dancing.
I'm really impressed with the updates to the lighting system here. I personally don't attend a lot of night clubs but I do like this one
By far the best nightlife venue in the downtown district. If you looking for a prejudice - free clubbing experience, then this is the place to go and get your fix. Never had a problem there and all the service from bar staff and security is always so friendly and efficient. The Funktion one sound system alone is worth it. I love this place !
This club was the greatest a long time ago but it is no longer a fun dancing gay club just a normal club with the same handsy dudes you get at other places. Staff could use a vacation I think...
Remember to always buy your tickets before the party from their website, otherwise you'll have to pay $90 plus $20 cash for security if you want to skip the lane.
Terrible service and staff members, left my ID with the bartender here only to not get it back as well as a "clueless" response from the security/staff. Don't even bother mailing to the lost/found as nobody responds either
Good fun, good music. Smaller in size though!
Haven't been there yet but there's an awesome event happening there right now. The Battle of Santiago is performing and my brother in law ????. It's a warm up for the Junos.
Love the EDM scene and the shows they have here. Love how inclusive the club is. Loved seeing acts like ARTY, Deadmau5, Zedd, Thomas Gold, Vicetone and other bigroom artists! Love the remodel and price for tickets are usually very affordable. Would love to DJ here one day as I have played at Fortune and other clubs/house parties in Vancouver

We were there for burlesque shows. Lots of good viewing areas. Good to see the all gender sign on the washrooms. If you are nervous about that, a quick peak will tell you there is pink one with all stalls. We appreciated being able to buy a good burger next door whilst in line for the show.
Bumping on the weekend. I saw some Canucks players hanging out here a couple Weeks ago!
Celebs Tuesdays are the best times. Amazing music, spacious venue, even better people who are regulars here. Easiest one of my favourite clubs in Vancouver!
Sometimes the old grumpy one starts demanding tips even though you just gave them 10 in tips from yours last buy.
Love the atmosphere, always a good time here. Really good drink deals on tuesdays
Have fun tonight!
Dont give discount with a German Student ID VERY BAD SERVICE AND RUDE
Main Club: Sound system and vibe/crowd is a hit or miss ranging from pretentious men clinging onto their girlfriends and glaring at you for dancing near them to people who came for the music and to have a good time. Size of the crowd doesn't matter here. They book good trance, techno, and house music. Security is good but impolite, 9/10 people get caught smoking inside and moshpits are quickly broken apart. There's two floors and bartenders provide free water if you ask nicely. Beautiful LEDs.
Can't miss a Tuesday night here!
Best spot out there
My girlfriend and I were in Vancouver and noticed that celebrities was throwing a party with some DJs we wanted to see. The sound system was really good they're loud clear. What we didn't like was the environment or 5 that we got from this place. Maybe it was because school was just coming back but most patrons were all over the place or had no regard for anyone around them. I'm not sure I would return
Over priced club with disrespectful staff... especially the bartenders. Will not be returning as there’s a ton of other better places to go in the same area.
Seb C is the best DJ at this club.
Best nightclub in town!
Came here for a security conference party -- the whole venue was rented out for us. Impressive central LED light display over the dance floor. Food was catered from an outside company. Overall appearance of the club was a bit tired/rundown.
Really disgusting!! people throw food on other people. Also instead of finding people who threw , they are offering free shots to suppress the matter. Really disappointed!! Not entering this club anymore…
Good fun, good music. Smaller in size though!
One of Vancouver's best clubs
I’ve never heard of $60 cover before.
Rudest staff I have ever come across, insulted me for being slow to tip after receiving bad service so I didn't tip at all which of course led to worse service. I don't know how they think tips work, but where I work you get tips for the quality of your service. It's not a given. Also was charged normal prices on a Tuesday which is supposed to be different pricing (or so I was told). EXTREMELY OVERCROWDED
the best bar in Vancouver except on Tuesdays (aka straight night) when they let the dirty breeders into the club or else i would have given this place 5 stars
The bouncers will ask for a bribe only to force you to stand at the back of the line afterwards. I'm very disappointed with my experience and will never return because of this!
Have fun tonight!
Sucks! Do not recommend.
Best place great crowd
If you early you stuck inside and they don't let you get out like prison till 12.30?!?! If you late they ask for 20 to skip the line and 10 to get in. Very classy act from one of the oldest clubs in Vancouver
Stickier than a gay bath house.
Great club
Very cheap drinks. The bartenders are great. The atmosphere & energy is amazing. Good variety of music mixed with music videos. LOVE THIS PLACE!
Good place to hang out. Has an excellent selection of ticketed events. This is the best club in Vancouver. Best sound system compared to all the other Vancouver clubs. Highly recommend this place.
Good drinks
My favourite club ! Never too of long a line for drinks, great dance floor, and tons of different performers all the time.
Amazing sound system, lights and people
My girlfriends and I have a blast every time we come out! Unlike most clubs, the staff here are super welcoming and helpful.
Place itself was cool but they only get cash or canadian debit card, no visa card. For entrance fee is CAD 40 only with cash. I was travelling vancouver and choosed to go there but spend forever to use atm machine with thausands of transaction and currency exchange fees. And music there were not my style on the day I went. If you choose to go Celebrities, please check the line up for the day and if there's any event. BUY TICKET ONLINE BEFORE YOU GET THERE AND CHECK THE SCHEDULES AND LINE UPS. I didn't know about systems of canadian (gay) club so I just went there but there were better party upstairs but I coudln'y go because I didn't know.
Woooo beby
I also had a horrible experience with the bouncer Wiz wearing the Fred perry polo. He was very unprofessional and was forcing my friends and I to give him extra money FOR THE TABLE WE PURCHASED. The bottom-line was that he was unprofessional, extremely disrespectful, rude and AGGRESSIVE AND RUINED OUR EXPERIENCE. DO NOT RECOMMEND going to celebrities at all because of this terrible person. STAY AWAY
C-HELL-Brities ! Is DEAD. It might as well be a part of the granville strip. If you are looking for a unique, original FUN clubbing experience, don't go here. If you want to be treated like cattle by the security team...celebrities will accommodate. Celebrities is a hollow shell of what it used to be..... one of the hottest nightclubs in Vancouver is now a vacuum that will out suck your soul out starting at your wallet. It's like the old Navy of clubbing. Bland, generic, run of the mill. Save your Nrg, money and go elsewhere. It's mind numbingly boring. There goes the gaybourhood. Don't say I didn't warn you.
Very overrated and overpriced venue. Was here recently attending an event. The bouncers are very shady. They are exetremely slow at letting people inside, they purposely let a queue form even when it's not that busy inside just so they can pocket a cash bribe from people who are desperate to get inside and don't want to queue. I have also witnessed them being very aggressive and abusive towards customers. All staff are extremely stuck up and look down on you as if they are gods gift to the world. Avoid at all costs!!
We came here for some live music during the juno award festival. Even though they held the event in the basement, we still had a lot of fun and the music even sounded great.
Douche bags think it's only for "fags" so they don't go ????
remember to buy your ticket first before the party start, it is awesome place for party lover
Great railings ????????
This Tuesday had the best DJs playing!
Very rude bouncers and staff
bartenders make you feel terrible for asking for water and everything is overpriced... $8 + tip for a bottle of beer.
Nice Club!
Honestly, RIDICULOUS. WARNING** FOR ANY GIVEN EVENT HOSTED AT CELEBRETIES, you literally have no choice but to grease the bouncers $20. I got to the Venue at 10PM, and waited in the normal line (we were literally 15ppl from the front of the line) until 12:45am, JUST TO LEAVE because all the bouncers only cared about people who greased (ppl who would pay them $20 to pass the line). Honestly ridiculously improfessional. I asked a bouncer what's taking so long, and he says "We're at full capacity". Literally two minutes later he takes in a group of people who greased. The third time this has happened, the most selfish and improfessional bouncers I've ever met.
Celebrities is great if you want your phone stolen or to be harassed by a homophobic bouncer
This is a huge nightclub, they have a new club downstairs as well. The lighting and sound system is great. Its a well known Gay club that is more of a mixed crowd these days and has always had a straight night on Tuesdays. The crowd varies a lot but on Tuesdays its a very young crowd. Drink prices are very good for a club.
It's like they don't want you to drink water here?? I feel like they make enough on drinks. The tap water is hot so you can't refill a water bottle (that you'd buy from them) and when you ask for water at the bar they make it all ice. I asked for no ice and the bartender said no, gave me ice water and then demanded I tip. I always tip when I get drinks !!! Very unpleasant. Again, you'd think getting water at a club/bar would be less difficult.
They will serve you the wrong type of spirit/alcohol despite what you asked for. They will argue with you and threaten to kick you out. I have been drinking Captain Morgan Spiced Rum since I was 15 (I'm 28). I know what it tastes like. They acted offended when I called them out for serving me the wrong rum. Two separate bartenders gave me a captain Morgan spiced rum and coke that was obviously not captain morgans. Celebrities stores cheaper alcohol in different bottles to charge you more.
Always has great music
Overall, great nightclub for EDM (and some hip hop/r&b events/shows like real love). Getting in is easy especially with a ticket, price for drinks is standard, events almost every day of the week, recent upgrades/renovations look good, can chill upstairs, sound is great (wear earplugs though).
Racist bouncers.
I miss when Sanctuary (RIP) was here, or at least special long-weekend/halloween parties. was a good venue with a nice dance floor and seating. had a friend get alcohol poisoning and the bouncers were pretty good to her.
Great!
Extremely overpriced drinks, ridiculously expensive cover charge and sub par music.... do not recommend
If your gay go hit it up
Tuesday is definitely great time to go to Celebrities. Great atmosphere, DJs - music and cheap drinks. All you want from good nightclub all is there.
dirty place very disappointing
The regular line up took nearly an hour and a half to get into the club. When I went to get a drink from the bar the bartender said he doesn't serve people who don't give him a $20 tip.... (Pretty rude if you ask me.) Otherwise, the club is packed and bumpin on Tuesdays with good DJ and $4 highballs!
Amazing party like it’s 1999
A cool venue that’s kept clean and ran with care for the customers. I’ve been coming as an industry regular for years. One issue I mentioned as I left joking with the door staff last night: What’s with your Tuesday headliner playing the same set (no exaggeration) for 3 solid years?
Be very careful and don't let anything at the coat check. My girlfriend did it, and they lost her handbag. They didn't really lost it, because someone found her phone the day after in the street, but the handbag is still missing. It seems like they gave it to someone else... They don't care about their customers once they've got their money. Also they were really rude and pissed when we were asking for the bag. Even with the ticket, they tried to tell us it was not from that night. We tried to contact them the day after, but nobody return our calls.
Some staff wouldn't even serve me water - but other than that it's overall super fun
it’s nice club in downtown
Bartenders were extremely rude when I tried to order a glass of water. I had 2 separate bartenders argue with me when I requested water, one of which ignored my request and continued to serve other guests even after I had paid for a drink. The other bartender, after much discussion, went on to say how little the club pays and how when people don't order drinks she doesn't make any money. Seriously questioning any future decisions to support this business
Love it
Nice location and well crowded. Just amazing!!
Nice space, very good sound, and usually good music. Staff are also nice. Parking can be found somewhat easily in the area.
Came in on a tuesday pre-covid. 5$ cover/coat check/shots. As good as it gets. Friendly staff from the people patting us down to the bartenders. Had a great time there and the clean, nongendered washrooms were a big plus.
Cool place, good DJ's
Do not go to this club. Workers have had many reports of them drugging customers via drinks bought from bartenders. Disgusting.
(Translated) sir came here! (Original) kungs came here!
Tuesday nights. Just saying <3 Also if it's your birthday, its free! (i went there on my birthday, which happened to be on a Tuesday night and.. voilá)
They would not let me in because they said I needed a reservation or table. I think the guard just didn't want me in and used it as an excuse to exclude a solo male. Clubs based on exclusivity should not exist. It's about fun. Not exclusivity and elitism and some pathetic sense of clout based on overpaying for bottle service. People should be on the floor, not tables.
Kind of overpriced. Good music, young crowd. Of all the bars in Van it's up there, but not quite the best.
Too many men. Mostly asians tonight. Lots of grindage on the dance floor. None of the bartenders agree on the same price for my polar ice and cran.
Went to bingo two weeks ago (may 31 2017) and it was my first time at celebrities and also one of my first times out in Vancouver. The night was fun but one bartender, and older woman with short brown hair, was very unfriendly. I bought my first drink with her and when I came back, she announced in front of all my friends "oh it's the non-tipper!" I then asked her for some water and she responded "seriously?" The venue and the queens were great, but honestly this bartender just left a sour taste in my mouth. Probably won't be going back. If I were management I'd do something about her.
Travelled from Alberta to the Worst NYE venue ever, 1.5 hours in line to be let in at 12:02 , no comp drinks, another hour line for coat check (one grumpy asian guy).Dont waste your money on NYE event her unless you want show up at 8pm. The DJs were brilliant shame the venue and organisation was so poor. $180 for two tickets wasted. - even novice clubs know to tier thier tickets to maximise number and sells.
Can't wait to go again.
Always a good time. Tons of great artists always rolling through. The underground is also very awesome.
Sound quality was pretty bad. bass was lame
Love coming on a tuesday nights, its packed and cheap drinks! Also they throw good events on the long weekends, where its more hiphop r&b. Otherwise its generally edm music on the weekends. Overall decent time to party at with friends.
Great place and awesome security!
Disgraceful.
Unorganized, long wait time, rude service. Go to fortune instead.
Sound was strange.we had to wait for an hour at the door
place was nice, kinda small. Bartenders are rude and only want tips
Wouldn’t ever come here. Came in on a Saturday. Sit there like as if I came in a theatre to watch a movie. I sat for 30 minutes No body asked for my order. Waiting for shisha like as if I’m waiting for Jesus . Extremely poor customer service ???? I wouldn’t recommend anyone who haven’t been there to try it. I was so much disappointed
Went in there on a Friday for the first time and got pounded by another man in the first 30 mins I was there. 10/10 would go again.
Disappointed by my first visit. Saturday night was busy but the DJ was spinning some old EDM favourites instead of an original set. Second time was Pete Tong though so there was definitely a bit of redemption. Good light show but otherwise a pretty straightforward club.
HARASSMENT! We were a group of 9 individuals who visited your club for the first time. We …
The only club with the best sound system in all of downtown. Great atmosphere and they have a mezzanine where you can view the dj or find your lost friends.
Good if you like European style night clubs.
Some staff are kinda rude but the vibe was okay
Lightning is pretty ordinary, really bright in the dance room, more of a barish top 40 atmosphere. Went for pete tong and the opening DJs were pretty ok, I was yawning by the time pete came on. If you come from the toronto techno scence and nightlife you'll be a little disappointed.
Had a great time with my friends recommend this club venue for some great EDM beats.
never liked this place first time i went i was 19 in 2014 it was ok back then. Since i hate it my experiences there have been just sh*t. I was walking by about 2 years back and opened my umbrella when was with my partner i had no intent to go in there simply walked by apparently my umbrella opened a little to close to one of the bouncers he grabbed my arm and yelled at me to watch it. Completely unacceptable and it was essentially assault to grab me. I wish i had called and spoke to the owner when it had happened. Its been years since, i think its weird that on davie this club has now become a more straight club, it should move to granville near 12 west instead of on davie it doesn't fit in anymore. When you get all that straight testosterone flowing bad things will happen there.
The music is amazing on a good night but horrible on a so so night... make sure to check the events before going. Most events are $20+ for admssion
Great place, Good music and a good dancing crowd overall probably the best place that side of Vancouver.
Recently management has let the staff and bouncers get too aggressive.
This place never disappoints. Good music and good crowd. They have one of the better sound systems in the city and have the friendliest staff. Overall, nice establishment for a night out with friends.
A fun nightclub on Davie Street. Don't expect cheap drinks, but gay bingo on Wednesdays is a lot of fun and they offer prizes as well. Expect lines and more well known DJs on the weekends.
Went last night to see nick bike spin... I'd seen a few of his performances on YouTube, but getting to see it live was amazing. That dude was unreal! It was a nice change from hearing the same old stuff all the time. Would for sure go back to see more of that.
