First time trying out the Radiant and it did not disappoint. The cocktails were delicious and so were the share plates. Had the Halibut for a main and it was a real stand out. The staff were friendly and helpful and the restaurant is dog friendly. They even have offer a ‘barkuterie’ menu specially for dogs.

Modern decor in front area with burlesque in another room. Huge variety of cocktails for every taste. Had vegan cheese board. Amazing. Three different cheeses, olives, pickles, grapes, and bread. Acoustics good. Really nice server. Top of the class fie fun cocktail bars.

Incredible experience! Every detail was well thought out from the food pairings, plating and very well balanced cocktails. Allergy and intolerance friendly with many GF and V options. Attentive and polite staff. Best of all was the patio seating on the street facing the mountain. Only downfall was the 3 pieces of chicken with 4 waffles. Amazing otherwise!

Was a dining & entertainment highlight for sure while we were visiting Banff. The Cabaret show was 10/10 (Brilliance Burlesque). We ordered the vegan cheese board, fries, pretzels and many many cocktails (every one is so different so can work your way through the menu) & had room for some vegan dessert too. The staff and service were all friendly even though we went the weekend everything opened up again they did a really good job. The venue itself is beautiful as well. Overall it was a great evening.

This was a beautiful experience! I was drawn in by the art deco feel and the sign that said they were inclusive of everyone... In Banff you don't see that too often which was a nice change. I had lunch which was great (get the truffle Parm fries!) and we came back for dinner and drinks! Great cocktails, great food and greats service!!! Get the short rib... It's fall off the bone... We are definitely coming back! Once COVID is over I look forward to seeing some shows and coming for a drag brunch!

I have been here a few times and had a nice experience, but overall this restaurant communicates poorly. Several times I have called and left messages in the last 6 months for info on their dining ahead of driving from Calgary to Banff and 99% of my calls are never returned. I called yesterday to enquire about take-out dining and left a message. Drove from Calgary to Banff and went to the restaurant to ask about takeout. The sign said they were open Fridays yet the restaurant was closed. Nowhere on the door did it say the restaurant was closed, and neither did their Radiant website, nor did their answer phone message indicate they were closed. So a totally wasted experience of going there. This restaurant needs to communicate their closures and change of hours on the actual homepage of their website, and update their answer phone message AND put a sign on their front door saying they are shut. Customers, especially repeat customers, need transparency and communication from the companies they support, Covid or not. I don't use Chrome browser, and only today did I see they put 'temporarily shut' on Google Chrome, but not on their own web, phone and physical sites. I want to support The Radiant but lack of communication creates huge barriers.

This place is visually stunning - a show stopper. The food options are delux! I had the alberta rose dessert and it is melt in your mouth amazing! Also, a place that has dollar an ounce house wine options? (yes please!) Furthermore, hosting a virtual fundraiser cabaret and soon to have public performance cabarets- this is my kind of space. Love! Can't say enough great things about this place!

My partner took me to The Radiant for our anniversary. It was Tuesday but there was a good crowd. Covid protocols were properly adhering which was great to see. Our server was great! I had “she’s a bearcat” cocktail and my partner had a mocktail, both utterly delicious. My chicken and waffles was fantastic and my partner had wagyu poutine which she totally loved. Had a great time there! Definitely going back!

Fabulous new eatery (just opened June 2020) right on Banff Avenue with a spacious, light-filled front parlor that feels like an Art Deco café in Paris, and a classic dining room in the back. Visiting Banff for a weekend, we (4 friends) dined/snacked here 3 times in 2 days so tried many items. Delicious, creative, shareable plates, including many vegan & gluten-free options. Everything on the menu, from the "small bites" to "conversation plates" to the desserts, is thoughtfully inspired, creative & flavourful. Friendly & professional staff. Will be a new favourite in Banff!

Server was amazing , atmosphere as well however the food was terrible. All veggies not cooked , lamb chops not a chop , chewy fatty . Inedible. Grilled octopus showed up in tomato purée with little tiny chunks . When you say grilled octopus on your menu it should come out in big pieces grilled . Weirdest food experience I have had…. Highly not recommend

We were wandering Banff looking for somewhere for lunch and this place surprised us! Had an awesome outdoor patio area that is dog friendly, superb covid protocols, and very helpful staff. Our server, Danielle, was great at telling us all the details about the food. As vegans we asked questions about dairy content and she seemed to know every detail. The combinations of flavors and textures was just outstanding. The chef and team is creative and innovative in designing amazing food for all tastes. Options of drinks was excellent too. If you are going to be within 50km of Banff make sure you stop here!!

The three-course formula (priced at $ 65) is interesting. Nice initiative and originality of the wine list to offer glasses at the price per oz. Allows you to drink what you want and / or to test several wines. Still on the wine list, well done for highlighting Canadian vineyards. The +: the establishment offers shows. Advice reserve the table in advance. Negative point: the chef should announce on the menu when a dish is spicy. I ordered the fish and it is baked in a cayenne pepper crust. Disappointed for that, because the waitress should have told me because in the choice of the starter I had asked her to remove the jalapeno so it would have been appreciated if she suggested another dish. Without this event, I would have put 5 stars which would have been deserved but with that I take one away. (Original) Très bel établissement. Personnel très sympathique (Visité le 13 septembre 2021 en début de soirée). Les plats sont copieux et bien présentés. La formule trois services (au prix de 65$) est intéressante. Belle initiative et originalité de la carte des vins de proposer des verres au prix à l'oz. Permet de boire ce que l'on souhaite et/ou de tester plusieurs vins. Toujours au sujet de la carte des vins, bravo de mettre en avant des vignobles canadiens. Le + : l'établissement propose des spectacles. Conseil réserver la table en avance. Point négatif : le chef devrait annoncer sur la carte quand un plat est épicé. J'ai commandé le poisson et ce dernier est cuit dans une croûte de piment de cayenne. Déçu pour cela, car la serveuse aurait dû me le signaler car dans le choix de l'entrée je lui avais demandé de faire retirer le jalapeno donc cela aurait été apprécié qu'elle me suggère un autre plat. Sans cet événement, j'aurais mis 5 étoiles qui aurait été mérité mais avec cela j'en enlève une.

Excellent spot that scratches a lot of itches. There’s something real neat about going to a lounge with speakeasy vibes during COVID. Fantastic staff. Menu options for folks going all out and people who don’t want to spend too much (though it certainly trends toward the former). Great events, giant magnet for local and visiting talent.

Loved this spot! It's got a cool welcoming vibe that matches exactly what I look for in a place. We didn't get to check out any of the performances But we've heard really great things about those so would be great to maybe check that out in the future. The cocktails are on point!! Super cute restaurant located on the downtown Banff strip. They have this awesome deal before 7pm where you can get a drink and 2 small dishes for $20. Such a steal (this was the deal we went in for). We were quick to be seated even though we were walk in. The food was REALLY good especially for the price. The beef carpaccio was rich and creamy, beet tartare was nice and refreshing, confit duck wings were very flavourful and well balanced with the daikon. The tuna tartare was the most underwhelming of them all but still tasty. Wished they had more tuna though because it seem like they had more avocado and cucumber. The staff were great. Made the experience very enjoyable.

We really enjoyed our desserts here, both were very unique (and I uh....eat more desserts than I want to mention). Some flavour combos I've never had before. The only thing we didn't like was the brownie was kind of dry and brought the dish down. But the cherries on it were enough to make me forgive it, delicious.

Chicharon Prawns were very tasty with a funky presentation. Steak Frites in a mushroom cream sauce must be ordered!!!! Good service and very nice 1930s decor. Can't wait for a jazz night there.

Really cool spot in Banff. It's a step back in time. Falafel sliders were delicious, the duck wings were ok. Decent drink menu, should add a drink called smooth criminal since it feels like MJ could walk in at any moment ???? Staff could be more welcoming and informative. Wanted to order from the happy hour menu but the host didn't mention you have to sit up front to order from it. Excited for performances to open back up as this would be a great spot to take in some good music!

Wonderful ambiance. We were there on a night they had live music with a jazz musician, Tim, and it made the experience even better. Appetizers we had were quite unique - Pakora waffles and the Sun ray salad - both really good. For mains had the Shrimp, Roasted carrots dish and the everything plate which was a combination of various roasted vegetables. Presentation and preparation were both excellent. Finished up with Alberta Rose from the dessert selection which was delicious. Our server Lianne was really friendly and helpful and made the experience even better. All in all a wonderful evening spent! Will definitely go back if we are ever in Banff again.

Radiant does...add super duper detail and large portions for much lower than Banff norms....add drag show thursdays, dj fridays and cabaret burlesque...prohibition style stage and massive 3 set dining areas...great value and awesome setting...served by an attentive past restaurant owner...jeez...great spot!

I was in Banff in late October, 2021, not high season for Banff at the best of times and noticeably quiet because of Covid. Nevertheless it was hopping at the Radiant, a beautiful new restaurant/lounge/entertainment spot on Banff Avenue in the historic Harmons building. The decor of The Radiant complements the historic restoration of the building and gives you a sense of being back in the Roaring Twenties. My friends and I enjoyed the jazz quartet while munching delicious small plates and sipping beer, wine and mocktails in the Lounge. The mocktails were a gold star for me as so few places offer interesting non-alchoholic drinks. We had such a good time we returned and had a delicious dinner in the Parlour dining room, lingering to enjoy the entertainment which began at 9.

Had an amazing lunch experience on their extended patio. The tandoori chicken and waffles is a must! Crispy chicken with perfect tandoori seasoning paired with incredible savoury waffles, holoumi cheese, herbed sour cream and chili honey. One of the best dishes I've had in a long time. We also had the A Tuna Matatta which is some what of a deconstructed poke bowl with deep fried avocado, seaweed and tuna cubes coated in sriracha mayo which was delicious also. Flavourful dishes but also nice and light for our long afternoon of biking in the mountains. Their spaced out sunny patio right in the centre of Banff was filled with cute dogs and good vibes. We were drawn in by their selection of Innercity Brewing beers (Calgary) and wowed by the food.

I came here with my wife on our first night out in Banff, and I have determined that if it were possible to rate higher than 5 stars, in this case I would. The servers are friendly, well attired, properly educated on the menu and ingredients, and incredibly professional. We ordered a few selections of their small dishes to share, and the quality was excellent. The portions were small, but that was favourably offset by the reasonable price of each item. The first visit alone was enough for me to rate five stars, but the second visit two days later cemented the unofficial 6th star. The reason is their consistency. We ordered different items this time, but we ordered two of the same starters that we had on the last visit, the pork belly and wagyu beef, and the quality was virtually identical to our first visit. The chef(s) absolutely deserve a mention here, as this is easily one of the best places we've ever eaten. We will definitely return here upon our next visit to Banff.

I have nothing but amazing things to say about this place. We went for a nightcap and we’re shocked that it wasn’t packed to the brim with people (later found out the jazz show had just finished and that’s why it was empty - it was also 1230am.) The staff was so friendly, and our server Ash was so welcoming and we had a ton of laughs. We only had a couple drinks but they were so delicious and well priced. The menu is extensive and there’s something for everyone. This is a dream of a venue for dinner, a show, a wedding even. I can’t wait to be back.

Stopped in for a late cocktail and we were not disappointed. Great menu with a variety of mixed drinks that have interesting little twists to the standards. I had their version of a Boulevardier and it was excellent. Service was super friendly and the lounge is a beautiful place to spend some time. We'll go back to eat next time.

The Radiant has quickly become my favourite bar in Banff. The cocktails are delicious and truly one of a kind, the food is incredible, the staff are amazing, and their shows are the best in town. Highly recommend the Crushed Velvet and Riddled with Envy for cocktails, the All Caps and We Come From Many Places for sharing plates, and the Drag Shows for some hilarious and unforgettable performances.

They’re back! For the fourth time...and in fine form as part of Banff’s woonerf scene. Today was their first day return to serving the public, and hopefully the first day of a long, successful summer season. They deserve to succeed with their outstanding new menu and beautiful cocktails. Excellent and very creative “small plates” offerings, including Bison marrow, Ahi and Beef tartare - perfect for sharing. Menu is well thought out with entrees for every taste. Prices moderate. Service good, willing, and will become more polished as the season progresses. Your dogs are welcome here and they even have a special snack menu - just for them. They’re worth a visit - and as a “newcomer” to Banff Ave, worth your support.

This was our second visit to The Radiant. This time we dined inside. We opted to skip the apetisers, however chose the blackened halibut. We were most certainly not disappointed. This was a massive meal! The base was a basil risotto. Not just a dab, but a lot! And it was very good with a light basil flavour. Followed by sliced baby potatoes which tasted as though they had a light smoked flavour. Topped with sauted baby squash. Broccolini to the side. The 6oz of blackened halibut placed on top and then topped off with watermelon salsa. All of the flavours were complementary to each other. It was simply the best prepared fish I believe I have ever had. I will most certainly be going back for this dish. Ya gotta have this. You will not be disappointed! Sorry! No photo. Dislike, could not make an online reservation without having to consent to my personal information being shared. NOT GOOD Radiant! Suggest changing that requirement. Made my reservation at the door when I walked by.

Food and service was genuinely great. I had their smoked steelhead salmon chacuterie - really liked that - nice subtly smoked flavour that was more similar to sushi fish. I had their a tuna matata...while what i was served was good...i dont know if it justifies the cost...other than the pankoed avocado it wasnt too different from your typical aho tuna poke bowl - wihout rice - it was advertised as having forbidden rice...so i expected at least some rice to go along with the dish, however it only had some purple rice speinkled on top. Finally i had their dessert sampler - honestly some of the best desserts ive had in the Rockies. All 3 house desserts were awesome especially the alberta rose dessert and their twist on the nanimo bar, the banana pesnut butter cheesecake was OK, the "surprise" browny not so much as it was too bitter. Overall while food was good i wish they were more clear about what we should expect on the dish. Something really awesome about the restaurant is their aesthetic which is like a noire speak easy /dark 60s diner. Really really liked their aesthetic.

We were walking by the restaurant while debating where we wanted to have dinner, Meagan (host or manager) greeted us at the door. She was super friendly, accommodating, kind and friendly. She assured us the food was amaZing and better than most restaurants around. We took her word for it and sure enough the food was UNreal! Every single dish we ordered was on point, different flavors, combinations and great atmosphere/music. It was a great experience over all, we haven’t had a positive experience like that at a restaurant in a Very long time. Definitely recommend this restaurant if you’re looking for good food and a nice atmosphere.

I'm a sucker for tasty bistro style food, and for shared plates. Our shared plate lunch of truffle fries, wagu poutine, halibut sliders and fried chicken and waffles did not disappoint. I only wish I had time to sample the extensive cocktail menu.

We stopped by for the first time for a mid afternoon meal. Tried several sharing plates, including the shrimps, yams, portobello mushrooms/cauliflower, and tuna. All were delicious, with very interesting and appealing flavours. Service was excellent. Highly recommended.

Had an amazing lunch at the radiant last week, Lindsay, our server was so friendly and helpful, her smile beams through the restaurant! This is a review from an event planners perspective. I haven’t been. I was referred that I just take my group here. I had a 14 person corporate group that already signed a contract for dinner with another restaurant. We requested seating at 830 for 14 people. And we’re told they only had space for us if we were having food. See photo of the email for proof. We would have paid for bottle service or whatever to reserve the space. My gf was going to consider it for her law firms Christmas party but I showed her how they wouldn’t even entertain the idea of a group coming in at 830pm. I’m really disappointed and I believe we would have spent far more on drinks, and would have been profitable. This email says we have space but no thanks! You might want to ask more questions next time Lindsay, we were bringing in some big spenders. Check my other reviews to see how few times I actually complain.

Where to start? My wife and I had the good fortune to stumble onto this restaurant during our visit to Banff. Although restaurants and bars are plentiful on the strip in Banff Village, after visiting several of them during our stay, I can confidently say that there are few others that offer the charm, quality and level of service that The Radiant does. The menu is extensive and creative, yet very accessible. My wife and I have certain dietary restrictions, which sometimes makes it hard for us to find restaurants that can accomodate us. That being said, the menu at The Radiant has many Gluten Free, vegetarian and vegan options. We ordered the grilled octopus, the beet tartare, the cajun Halibut, as well as a summer salad. Each and every plate is well composed and delicious. To top it off, the staff is extremely friendly and welcoming. We had the chance to meet owner, who is very down-to-earth, passionate and helpful. He took the time to check on us throughout dinner and gave us several hiking recommendations for the rest of our stay. The name of this restaurant is very fitting, as we look forward to coming back soon! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Incredible venue. Our experience was totally unexpected, we had just arrived to Jasper that evening and luckily got a spot here Sunday night. There was a live band, with great music, and ambiance. Cocktails were on point. As a huge fan of gin, I loved the selection they have and the dedication to the different country flavour profiles. The food was simply incredible. Fresh ingredients, cooked to perfection. We had the Bison Bone Marrow, Lamb Chops, and the duck wings. All three dishes were above bar!!! Would highly recommend and I would definitely come back next time in Banff. Thank you Radiant!

Simply one of the best places to go to in Banff: the cocktails are inventive and very well prepared, beer selection is expertly curated, and the food is absolutely to die for. The Tandoori Chicken and Waffles was one of the best meals I've ever had, and the A Tuna Matata was sublime. Service was also wonderful - can't wait to go back!

The food is really good. Very fancy. The room is like something out of a Gatsby story. The cocktails rival any cocktail place I've been too. And I've spilled more cocktails then most people have drank. There was a great band there tonight (Peter and the Wolves) and the room was live and sounded great. We did have a poor experience last year during our honeymoon but manager Steph invited us back as they went through some changes including a new head chef. Ambiance and vibe were unique and welcome in Banff. The food was fine but the kids menu is wildly overpriced. While kids might be “welcome” it’s very clear they don’t want them there. It was unfortunate that the family left hungry given the prices they’re charging - $14 for 4 pieces of chicken and a handful of fries I guess is just too much for me.

Fabulous place with a focus on shared plates. Everything was incredible and they have a fantastic GF selection. Personal favourites were the Leprawn James and the Tandoori Chicken and Waffles. If you want to build your own charcuterie board, the truffle salami is a must!!

What a place! Great shareable plates, and the best cocktails in town: go for the Petal to the Nettle for something subtle and complex or the Bonfire for smokey and spicy. Service was attentive and professional. Food is carefully prepared and presented. All in all, highly recommended.

Literally can’t rave enough about this place!!! Everything was just PERFECT! The drinks, the food, the service and the burlesque show was amazing! So grateful for the vegan option, I do think the sausage was a little dry and would have preferred a cauliflower steak, but nonetheless I was grateful for the option and it was super filling. The cocktails were great and creative. The ambience and vibes were so good that we kept ordering more and didn’t want to leave. Kudos to the owners as you can tell so much hard work went into creating a beautiful restaurant. Also, want to mention how amazing the service was. I haven’t had such good service in a while; they all know their stuff, very professional and created a perfect atmosphere. Can’t wait to come back one day!
