Was here on Wednesday with some friends and we had a great time. I usually feel awkward at these type of places but all the staff made it very enjoyable and welcoming. If you are looking for a gentlemen’s club in Edmonton to go have a good time, I definitely recommend Shade.

It all started over a reflective moment while passing by on my way to Grant Mac.. I had a camera and 60,000 in cash.. all not actually cash, but it still worked. I went to ATB banks across 3 parking spaces. I go to casinos and can't lose.. WHY?? I racked up my cards so fast I had to constantly call them.. then it happened.. I got banned from the hotel across the street because they illegally evicted me despite me cleaning my own room. I lost my rental vehicle in a parkade while on crutches in winter.., it gathered several tickets, while it took me 78 hours to find it. That day I drove from CGY to EDM and back 3 times - that's at least 9 hours, but only 1.5 hours when I drive because I do mach 10. It was fun, got a ticket in Red Deer, contacted the beautiful mayor and had my ticket reduced. I wanted to ask her out but she was too busy giving me another ticket. I will go on.. but I need a break, much like the break in my work history while all of this happened.

I WOULD TOTALLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE THAT SUCKS AT PLANNING. I was picked as best man for a close friends wedding. So since I was planning, I decided we should pool in some cash together to give the groom to be one last night on the town with his mates! We picked Shade because a friend recommended it, and I'm really glad they had. I called them a week ahead of time and got straight through to the manager and was able to work out what sort of experience we wanted while working within a reasonable budget. On the night itself our entire group was blown away with the service and hospitality as-well as all of the unexpected extras that the manager threw in throughout the night. Will return someday.. But I'm from out of town so we will see.

I've been to a few of the gentlemen clubs in Edmonton but Shade always has me coming back. It's not your stereotypical strip club, the dancers put in a ton of work to showcase amazing skills on stage, either on the pole or with an assortment of props. The staff is always friendly whether it's the doormen or the wait staff. I'm never kept waiting for drinks and they'll even bring me a water in between drinks to make sure I'm not getting too intoxicated. Not enough bars do that. Let's not forget Tuesday's Filthy Fued where you can win up to $2000 if you're lucky and have a dirty mind. It's definitely one of the best local clubs in Edmonton and it's always a great place to have a great time. Naked women are also a plus.

Went here on a Saturday night so it was bound to be very busy, but my group and I had to stand around awkwardly since there wasn't much room. We got a table after one eventually opened up and the drink server who would come around was giving us attitude for no reason while being very pushy for us to buy more drinks. My friend bought a short vodka water which they charged $17.50 for, which doesn't seem like a reasonable price. The entrance staff & security were very nice which I appreciated and the dj & dancers both gave great performances. Probably wouldn't come back unless I was prepared to spend an entire paycheck here

Today, I visited SHADE for my second time in just over two years and I would recommend it over any other establishment in the city. They have low cover charge, coat check, they offer reasonable prices on drinks and promos for birthday parties and stags with plenty of highly-talented and beautiful performers! BUT, tonight wasn’t my favourite visit at all. I chose to bring a friend for their first visit, as they’d just recently turned 18 I thought it was about time they visited the club and enjoyed it! However, when we arrived we were informed that the main floor was at capacity and for an extra $50.00 they’d offer a VIP booth with a few extras included and we could skip the line. We took the offer and headed inside, all was totally fine until we were approached for a dance. We headed upstairs to check the prices and they are WAY over what we expected and the whole way of selling/offering felt very pushed and forced. First off, I was informed that $120.00 MINIMUM would be for four dances and I was NOT told that that meant four songs at a total of 15 mins. On the other hand, my friend payed $475.00 for a VIP booth and one hour with a dancer and he expected high-quality service for that price, that doesn’t include any extras and or drinks at all. We are now $500.00+ dollars into the night and STILL we were continuously asked every five or so minutes for more and not once did we feel like valued or respected customers. This unfortunately is far off from my first visit for my 18th birthday, I was offered a free round of shots and a VIP dance for no extra charge and the whole experience was 100% perfect. Now, I’m not a price-gouger or cheap person but for the amount of time/money we spent tonight the service and quality did not match at all. We would love to come again with a group of friends but will hopefully be able to expect a change of service and better time In the future.

Came here for my 24th birthday on March 12th right before the shut down. We paid quite a bit for a VIP table with my 3 friends. They did give me free shots for my birthday but that's all I got. For that reason I will give 4 stars. Women are beautiful. We probably spent about 3 bands on dances that night. Coming back the weekend of November 20th for my friends 23rd birthday. Hopefully his birthday experience is a bit better.

We visited this club from Ontario and had a fantastic time. We went on Wednesday (Amateur Night) it was amazing! We had a booth upstairs, my fiance and were celebrating before we get married. We met Jay (owner) and he was so professional, hospitable and welcoming. I can't say enough about everything he did for us and was always checking to make sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Our bartender Mandy upstairs was incredible ( and GORGEOUS!). Dancers were very entertaining and beautiful. The entire place was so clean and classy. I highly recommend visiting!

Dancers are extremely talented, and varied. Service top notch, although pop was expensive ($4.75 for a Coke) and the security was on point. However, the DJ/announcer was so obnoxious that at one point one of the dancers called out that he was throwing her off. He was annoying and distracting throughout the performances, and was the lowest point in an otherwise pleasant evening.

We came to Edmonton for one night and chose this club for our date night. We loved everything! Doorman was really friendly and approachable. Our server was extremely attentive, we never had to ask for anything, were checked on often and she answered all my questions patiently (we didn’t ask her name but she’s a pretty blond lady, the only server on November 17th, Sunday night). Stage shows were spectacular, these dancers know what they’re doing! We also went for a couples dance and picked Irelynn, she was awesome! Really enjoyed our experience and will definitely be back to see the place on a Saturday night whenever we come up from Calgary. Keep up great work!

I have been going to Shade for a couple months now and haven’t yet been disappointed. Always a great crowd and great dancers with jaw dropping performances. Any time the slightest inconvenience happens, the staff there, especially the manager Jay, is so quick to do anything they can to fix it and make your experience 10x better. I went there for my birthday last night and I was gifted a bottle of champagne and also a lap dance, free of charge. This club will always be my favourite place to go for a night out, I would recommend this place to anyone. Shade is my Favorite Night Club in the City!!! My wife and I discovered Shade last year when on a whim, we popped in. From her ID, they learned it was her Birthday and immediately proceeded to make her feel like a queen. Jay the GM greeted us in the club and took care of us all night making sure she was comfortable and we had everything we needed. Jay is an excellent host and he really makes you feel like a VIP. The girls are stunning and all the staff are super friendly and accommodating. We have been regulars ever since. My wife arranged for us to go there for my Birthday this past week and it was a total blast. Jay once again took care of us and even got me a cake with a personalized Happy Birthday message. He certainly went above and beyond to make it a great party for me and all of our guests. If you are celebrating something, or just looking for a great night club experience, you need to check out Shade!

Im not one to go out to clubs, and this was also my first time at an Exotics club as well. Despite this, i had a very good time. We had a bachelor party booked at Diamonds, but unfortunately it burned down two weeks before our reservation. The outstanding management for that club were kind enough to move us to Shade without a hitch, and even offered us the VIP booth as well. Sam took care of us very well, and the dancers were phenomenal. I didnt have to be drinking to have a blast here. A big thanks to everyone there amd everyone who took amazing care of us. Came here on a Sunday night and had the best time, probably the best club I have been to. Cheap entry and fast drinks, so busy and an amazing atmosphere. We got there at 9.30pm and left at 2.30am! I go here with my boyfriend several times a week and figured it was about time we left a review. Best night of the week to go would be Wednesdays, Fridays & Saturdays. In that order. It can be too busy on Fridays or Saturdays without a booth. But Wednesdays is amateur night around 11-1am. So its allot of fun. I wouldn't even call this place a "strip club". Its closer to something you would find in Europe.

First time coming down with my girlfriends. Best time of my life. Never knew strippers were so friendly and cool. Staff was awesome and attentive. My drink was never empty. Loved the vibe. They made me feel valuable. Bouncers made me feel safe and comfortable and manager was really kind and bought me a round of shots. Definitely coming back next Tuesday for Filthy Feud .. They play games between shows and I won $100. Yaaaaasss!!!! They even gave me cab vouchers to make sure I got home safe. I would truly recommend this spot if you need something to do during the week.

Won a VIP Limo package for last Wednesday to shade and it was my friends and my first time there. Our limo was on time to scoop up my friends and I the limo driver was very friendly. Took my lady on the weekend to Shade. Didn’t know what to expect as the covid restrictions would make for some changes. I have to say it was very professionally setup and the staff were amazing. All staff wore protective masks, and they utilized they’re whole space so that we could properly distance ourselves from other patrons. Even as a bonus hand sanitizer on every table. The service was also really well done as soon as my drink was close to being finished I was asked if I needed another. ???????? My lady was treated to a free dance as well ha ha. Also management (Jay and James) came by and I was able to have a nice chat with them and they made us feel like family.We both had a great time and would look to come back soon.

I have never had a worse experience at a nightclub like I had at this place. Their lack of respect, courtesy for the guests and incredibly high prices are just a few points they should improve on. I had been asked to leave just after purchasing a $20.00 beverage from the bar all because I had inquired if there were any other seats that were available because the ones that I had chosen were unknowingly reserved, which I had already been moved from a different seat for the same reason a few minutes prior. If I had known when I entered the club that there were no seats I would have gone to a different venue and spent my time and money elsewhere. To be berated and harrased by the staff is something I have never experienced by an establishment. I understand that when running a gentlemans club there would need to be a strict level of intolerance for misbehavior, however when it comes to patrons questions about comfort and experience there also needs to be a level of customer service and empathy. I was able to receive my cover fee as a refund, however my feelings of complete embarrassement and uncomfort are not returnable. To be fair the bouncer was very nice even when I made an unfortunate joke which after talking with him I did apologize as I hadn't realized it was offensive. I hope this bar is able to reflect on its shortcomings and improve so no one else has the experience that I had as I'm sure there are a lot of staff there that are great and shouldn't be judged as a whole. *** As someone who works everyday in the customer service industry, I csn relate to the difficulties of maintaining customer satisfaction and resolving complaints. Jay the manager had reached out to me after reading the above review and has since been more than accommodating to rectify the situation and events that occurred. I'd return on my next visit to town purely just to speak with Jay and be given another chance to experience what others have written about in their 5 star reviews.

I would HIGHLY recommend this night club to anyone looking to have a good time in the Edmonton area. First off, Jay the manager is SO accommodating and caring for his visitors at the cub. He sent a limo, which picked us up at Cactus club and then took us to the night club around midnight. We came for my girls 28 bday, and got the both front and center of the club, the view was amazing, and fit all 6 of us comfortably. We had room to move and groove, and watch all the girls dance on stage. Jay let me come in early around 9pm to decorate our booth ( I wish I took pics but I was waaaay too excited) and it turned out phenomenal! We had big number '28' balloons, confetti, birthday streamers and balloons around the booth. He checked on us all night and made sure the birthday girl got a bottle of champagne and a round of shots for all of us. He then surprised us with an additional bottle of champagne which tasted so good. It was so fun because it was amateur night and the place was POPPIN ! so much energy and positivity surrounding the place. And all the dancers are super cute and charming. If you get a chance to come here i would SO check it out, and if you have someone bday you want to celebrate Jay will totally take care of you !!

Hot dancers I guess, some were pretty chubby. Twice when I paid for our drinks the bill was around $32-$34 dollars, the waitress said she'd be back with the change but conveniently forgot. Obviously a tip is expected but $8 everytime? Basically stealing. And if I brought it up suddenly I'd be the douchebag. Probably won't go back, diamonds is better

Former employee here. Was a great stage-show bar until Diamonds burned down, then management became obsessed with the private dances and let stage quality, pay and job safety suffer. Wasn't going to leave a review at all but I keep getting phone calls from staff accusing me of negative reviews? So figured I'd give them one. It's a shame, because Shade had a phenomenal reputation and was at one point doing good for breaking the stigma of strip clubs - but they decided "screw that, lets follow what the other, less successful clubs were doing instead". loved the place. Woulda applied to come back in a heartbeat if they just cut their losses on a project they made manager after several years of him clearly just not learning what other management picked up in months. Only business in Western Canada that has 6 managers and an owner for a staff of about two dozen.

Got into Edmonton last night, decided to go for one beer at Shades across the street from our hotel. Once we got in we sat down and then we're immediately told that where we were sitting was reserved for the workers so we moved. Management then came up to us and kicked us out for being told that the new seats were also reserved for workers as well. The Management team did not tell us where we could/could not sit as all the available seating was apparently reserved for the workers. Terrible experience. Do not recommend.

Very first time in a club and won’t be the last with the gentleman’s club. The boss named Jay is very respectful and made us feel comfortable and in good hands. The staff and women are very respectful and friendly, The prices for booths and admission are very reasonable. When it gets crowded on the main floor, it was amazing to go upstairs and have a space to yourself/group of friends. The private dances are very well worth it and the main dances are worth watching, I enjoyed how the crowd could get involved for prizes and how comfortable it feels on the main floor/private booths Thanks again to the staff for making this an amazing first time in a club :)

Took a friend visiting from out of town here. Clean, nicely set up, pretty girls, and other staff was quite friendly and accommodating. Id call it a more upscale type of strip club. The vibe here was quite fun and I particularly enjoyed the antics of the stage hand of all things. We went on a Wednesday which is amateur night so there was a good mix of people but we didn't stay for the amateur acts. My only suggestion is to ease off the upselling a bit as it's really enough to let people know the cost structure (which is a good thing to have in place by he way)

Last night vip seating $150...first round of drinks $40..bottle service..$235...2 lap dances 8 min each...$120..$240 total...not counting cover charge or tipping and playing with the girls on stage!! So felt we should have received a little better service and more attention as the place was very slow we was the only bottle service and vip seating! Ray was a great bartender/server...Rob is a great bouncer!! And Star is the girl to get the best dance with!! Would recommend it to friends maybe just go easy cause it’s costly!!.......update 24/08/2019 thanks will do for sure!!

First impression was really good, been back a few times. Inside is crazy nice, 2 levels, you can see the strippers on stage from almost anywhere in the building. VIP seating is great, It also Feels classy and i love that. All the staff there are super friendly, the door guys are far from rude compared to other places I've been to. Servers are on top of it, never have to wait long for drinks. Every time i go i don't feel like I'm being hassled all night and can enjoy myself. I highly recommend this place!

When I brought up some inappropriate behaviour from another patron towards one of my friends, the staff were quick to resolve the situation.
