We when to Music Night Club for celebrated my 30 Anniversary with 10 of my friends “ He promise us a V.I.P Table. He never put us on the Guest list I tried talk with the bouncer he was extremely rude with my friend and I. One of my friend in to the club and talk with MAURICIO RAMOS he just saying nothing !!!!! I send a text he read it and Never Answered. I stayed outside for 45 minutes try to show all the text and trying to talk with the bouncer he screamed us like little kids. We feel so bad and not welcome. We went to another Club celebrated my 30 Anniversary ! Very Very DISAPPOINTED (ง ͠° ͟ل͜ ͡°) I

If I could give a review of zero stars, I WOULD. I can't help but laugh while reminiscing about my night spent at Music because it was such a joke. A couple friends and I had purchased tickets for Roy Woods which said 9pm to 2am, and so we arrived at 8:30 expecting for there to be a line. To our surprise there was absolutely no one around, frankly it was like a horror movie, there was music blaring inside the building yet not a soul around and for a place that was supposed to be opening in a half hour with a performer, things just didn't add up. It didn't end up opening until 9:30 and the "bouncer" took forever to let people in whilst taking breaks to run to his vehicle and grab a jacket then running back to grab mitts while many partygoers, including us, were standing outside freezing with their tickets in hand. Once we got in, everyone was shoved into a corner by the coatcheck before they scanned our tickets and PATTED US DOWN before we could enter the club. Finally, after getting inside the club we walked to the bar to buy some shots and since you could only pay cash my friend handed the bartender a $50.00 bill which she quickly turned around and declared was fake. Keep in mind we are a group of girls who look like we just finished shooting an episode for the Disney channel. The bartender then took the bill somewhere for 15 minutes and comes back with the manager and a security guard who threaten to throw us out. However, after looking at us they realize we mean no harm and allow us to stay but insist on keeping the bill. Then after that chaos we forced ourselves to stay to get our money's worth out of this performance. Little did we know, we would have to stay until 1:30 to watch him shout a couple of words from one of his songs that is playing loudly in the background. I would strongly recommend people against going to Music, everything about it is sketchy, unsafe and not worth your time or money. I'm grateful all we lost was money at this club, because considering the environment it could have been way worse.

Terrible night club. I've tried this place twice and will never go again. The bouncers poorly manage the line and fail to communicate with attendees on wait times. I had no line and no cover for me and a friend but was informed "a lot of attendees are trying to use those tonight so they are not valid." I then got into the "express line" which happened to move the slowest. The courteous staff allowed my girl friend to skip the line with her friends while the rest of us were left to wait outside to get in for an hour. The staff move slower than molasses and the crowd it attracts are seemingly very young and immature. A truly poorly managed business which will no doubt be switching owners and rebranding just like TEN did before it. Good riddance!

Great time, great staff. Would deffinitely recommend Music nightclub to anyone looking to enjoy their night. Bouncers were very friendly unlike most places! Good deals at the bars and a well dressed crowd! Breath of fresh air.

You pay for Mandatory coat check and a cover at $3 and $10 respectively. Then everyone is patted down by one security guard regardless of gender. My girlfriend began to have a panic attack so I tried to help her breath but she just got worse so we decided to leave. Out front of the club, clear of the door, she collapsed so I sat down and held her. The two security guards at the door decided to start yelling at me saying I should stand her up and move out of the way. All this did was made my girlfriend panic more and more. The only training these dull "guards" had was to check ID which took a pretty long time considering it's all they do all night. Absolutely terrible treatment of paying customers. I genuinely have no interest in ever stepping foot into so much as their parking lot.

The front bagcheck wouldn’t let me put my coat in my bag to check it. They charged extra cash for the coat on top which was expensive compared to other locations. On top of that they made me take off the shirt I had on leaving me with an extremely thin layer in the middle of winter. Better yet they refused that my friend had paid for both of our bag checks and made me pay on top of that. Staff was extremely rude and Would not call a manager when I asked them to. Was expecting a fun night at a place my friends said was great, ended up with a charge of almost $30 just to enter. Will never come again.

We recently went to MUSIC for a Bachelorette party and it was a Fantastic night! Ronnie responded super quickly to any facebook messages I sent while arranging everything, which made planning the event so much better. We arrived in style and Ronnie was waiting for our party of 10 to arrive when we got there. We loved the 90's theme that was on that night it was SO fun! The overhead lights on the dance floor is something you have to see for yourself! Definitely would go again!!

Really disappointing night club. We went on March 4th and it never got busy, stayed until 1am but there was barely anyone on the dance floor and it was just really awkward. They had a decent birthday package (they gave us a complimentary bottled of champagne) but that wasn't enough to justify choosing MUSIC over any other club in the city.

Music does an amazing job convincing you their club is a lot nicer with their insta photos. I couldn't beleive the flashy lights I'd seen online only adorned 1/10 of the ceiling. I went on Saturday which is 90' nights and which such an incredible era of music to choose from the dj couldn't maintain a lively ambiance. The ladies bathroom is absolutely disgusting which is a very good indicator of the crowd at music. I hate to type this but its an unfortunate mix of white trash and ratchet blacks.

Me and my girls went here on the weekend, waited in line for over and hour as we watched them let the people thay wanted to let in. By the time we got in it was time to leave and the bounces literally pushed us out. I had to tell them to keep there hands off of me.

We had a guest list good till 10:30pm, we show up at 10:20 and waited in line for 30 minutes for no reason (it wasn’t that busy inside) and when we got in they said no to our guest list because we were too late. It was very unorganized and that’s why there was a lineup. They have terrible door service (the guy behind the counter for collecting cover was VERY rude) you don’t feel welcome unless you’re spending hundreds of dollars on table/ bottle service. I don’t care that much about spending $10 on cover but it was just a terrible experience and ruined my mood for the rest of the night.

Would give zero stars if I was able to. I came here for my birthday a while ago and had a pretty large group. We were having a great time until The server kept coming by every two-five minutes to see if more drinks needed to be served, was clearly over serving us and trying to push us out. The servers clearly do not have there pro-serve because over serving alcohol is not apart of the program because I have my pro-serve and have had it for four years. The server then took one of our bottles away that still had alcohol in it and then proceeded to tell us we needed to buy another bottle or else we are going to be kicked out. I stood up for my friends and I because we were not buying another bottle because we have already spent $500 and a bottle of alcohol that was still pretty full that she took away, we should be able to enjoy our night and not be kicked out by midnight. The server was extremely rude to my friends and I and was threatening to fight me and have all of us kicked out for no reason. The management was extremely rude and had to argue for the big table we booked because they were only giving us a table that fit about 4 people when there were 10 of us. This used to be my go to place for my birthday parties but I will not be back because of the horrible customer service.

Went for the grand re-opening. It wasn’t grand. My group of 10+ was early waiting in line as it would open the doors by 10pm. They made all of us wait outside for about 45 mins in the spitting rain and cold, until about 10:45pm, and when a party bus showed up, they opened the doors and everyone in line had to wait for all the party bus people to go in first. So some of us waited until 11pm to get in. They offered a special event night and offered me bottle service + 2 drinks per person I brought if I brought 10+ people. I brought 10+ people and we didn’t get bottle service, and because all the party bus people got in, they “ran out” of the drink tickets by the time my group got in (and we were some of the first people in line). So here we are an hour later, expecting a table, bottle service, and some free drinks as they promoted, and they didn’t come through. The renovations made were very minor. Hard to notice. They made the dance floor smaller and switched the “VIP tables” so they are facing the dance floor (marketing gimmick). I’ve been to Music many nights and on any other night they would deserve at minimum 4 stars. But one bad night and I could say I’m not interested in going back. & I wouldn’t suggest falling for any of their promo gimmicks.

Some friends and I went to music last night to celebrate New Years. We booked the New Years Special package ($1,000) which was a table with bottle service, which SHOULD HAVE included 10 VIP tickets (no line, no cover) and 1.75 litres of Grey Goose and Moet. We arrived no later than 10 pm and had a guest list. They made us wait in line which is not the point of a VIP ticket and let other people with regular tickets in before us.. when we eventually got in, we were asked if we had tickets by the coat check lady and we said “no, we have a table under ___.” She said “I only accept tickets” and tried to make us pay $50 to get in when we had already each paid $120 beforehand. We had to pay for coat check, which was $3. I gave her $10 and had to ask for my change because she had no intention of giving it to me. There was absolutely zero communication between the staff as they had no idea these packages were even a thing and what it included. One of the guys who worked there came over and sorted out the situation, which we were very grateful for. When we got to our table, it was not even busy so no idea why we had to wait in line. The server did not even know which package we had paid for which you would assume should have been communicated if we are paying $1,000 for a table.. I had to show her on my phone what drinks were included as well because she didn’t know? The music was okay and the vibe was fine but really disappointed that we had to explain what we paid for to literally every member of staff we came into contact with. A friend of mine also got kicked out “for going behind the bar.” He had no warning and was not allowed back inside. This was around 12:30 so the night was cut short without an explanation. Our vodka was also taken away before it was finished even though we paid for it. Myself and my friends will never go to music again because our expectations were not met in the slightest. Keep racking up the one star reviews, Music. Let’s see how long you stay open.

Interesting vibe for first night club, didn’t like how they make you not wear hoods and bandanas, so when you choose to wear a headband instead they still discriminate and call it a bandana. Not the greatest music even though that is suggestive. Staff was moderate, very pricey drinks. Definitely wouldn’t go to music or any clubs unless pressa was there again.

Ronnie did a great job organizing everything from the limo, to the guest list, to the reserved area with champagne. Also, the music was flawless. I love those old school songs! I plan to go back sometime soon!

Most ear-damaging sound system I've heard in Calgary. Overall, meh. Really nice front staff, bar was fast, lights are cool, NYE DJ was pretty good, no real complaints there aside from playing Cardi B, but that's just me. Minimum bottle service (to reserve a table) was $500 for two bottles so we just opted for drinks (good idea). Decent party for NYE, but if you're headed there to dance, bring earplugs.

All the staff were LOVELY, from security to bar. Even on entry, when they check your ID and search you, they're really nice. We all showed up at different times, wearing everything from construction clothing to dresses and heels, and we were all treated well. One guy had a table booked for his birthday, you could see his Nanna sitting at the table. I mean this woman was old, like 1,000 years at least. The staff doted on her while everyone drank and danced. She looked happy as a clam. I've never seen a bouncer smile as much as the one by the dance floor. Not really my scene - most people dance in their circle instead of just around, a big horn to cue every song change without as much mixing, but it's 100% safe and friendly. Went on Latin night. If you love Latin music definitely check out Music.

Had a great experience here with my talent agency THG. There was a little disorganization at the beginning of the night, the front of house staff wasn't aware of our guest list but it all got sorted out quickly and took our word and gave us stamps right away. We had the bottle service table in the centre of the space and it was comfortable and a fun way to show off our group of talent! Bottle service girls and presentation of the bottles was fun and very pretty with signs, confetti, light up modules and all! The space is smaller however with a great group of people the night went by quickly and we all had a blast. Calgary lacks a good hip hop scene but Music made me forget that as their Union Sunday DJ was flawless and actually felt the crowd and played music in relation. I've read reviews about the bouncers or staff being rude or impatient, however we treated everyone with respect and kindly and only received this in return as well! The bouncer at the front even remembered me as I left and made sure I found my Uber and got in safely. Keep up the good service and good work Music :)

Came here for Halloween, there was literally no alcohol, no coat check, and when we asked to get bottle service they took us out of line and put us into another, then PROCEEDED to let a bunch of randoms in who were huddling by the door. The other line got let in before we did, then I got in and we didn’t even have the option to purchase bottle service. I had to pay a bartender to take my jacket just so I could dance. Hands down worst club I’ve ever been to.

This venue gets reinvented year by year. First it was a gay club (that should have stayed) called Club Sapien - closed. Then there was that horrific TenX Nightclub, closed and now we have Music Calgary and cosidered by some a cool new nightclub. I disagree. Management is poor, the music is terrible they wanted to bring lesser known acts to perform - nothing. The theme nights are dull and repetitive and yes this same venue suffers from drive-in shootouts outside the venue.. I feel that this place is a curse. Music Calgary will go down the same way as TENX GONE AND FORGOTTEN. Maybe bring a fancy restaurant instead in the future in order to avoid chaos?

The place is nice but I had an extremely bad experience with one of the bouncers. He was super rude to me, even though I was being kind and respectful. He denied being rude (in a rude, loud manner). We brought over 15 people to the club to spend money and ended up leaving because of the bad service of this man. If you're going to hire someone to deal with people, this person should be a people-person with good customer service skills and a good attitude. Update: I messaged them on Facebook and they were very apologetic and offered to make it up for my bad experience.

This nightclub is something special. In a city where pubs & beer markets seem to be the highlight, Music continues to deliver a unique nightlife experience. The lights, music, staff and the overall atmosphere is awesome. Friday & Sunday nights are my favourite. Saturday is a Latin night and is always busy from what I see! Can’t wait for the weekend!

I have always been to music but I will never go again after what happened last Saturday. We bought drinks at the bar right across the entrance and the girl that was serving mad was so rude. We got our coronas and when I told her I was paying with a card for some reason she got upset and rudely gave me the machine. When she saw the receipt of the amount I paid without a tip, she got upset and threw the receipt at me. What kind of service is this? A tip is not mandatory, especially when all you did is serve a corona and then threw the machine at me. Do you really deserve a tip?

Rude staff. The manager Dave told me it was not his problem and harassed me about giving a poor review....not sure who is the manager then and if he knows how to avoid a poor review? Bar staff forced us to drink our bottle at table to accommodate more customers (rude staff). Security told us to leave the parking lot outside and said it was their property. Last time I checked it was Indigo's parking lot. Unless Music night club is the soul owner of Indigo parking. In summary. Staff need a lesson in customer service. Manager needs a lesson in well, management. And bar needs a lesson in property law. My rating would be 0 stars but the minimum is 1.

Worst night club in Calgary. The venue is decent, but the DJ's are absolute garbage. They don't know how to mix properly, and mess up the drops, which overall kills the vibe. They play tracks at unsatisfying pitches, and don't know how to transition to keep the night exciting and alive. Don't waste your time here.

@musiccalgary place is a joke. Having worked in the industry for 5 years, I’ve never hear of a place that charges patrons for coat check when they have bottle service. Nor, have them remove a top coat and get more money for an extra coat check. Manager claimed to have to worked at “Bespoke”, a place that had a well oriented management team. Security staff inside the bar incompetent/rude and seem to believe they work in Alcatraz. Will never come back or recommend.

Honestly hard to believe how bad the customer service is here. I don't understand how after 9pm the staff are able to treat you with such rudeness and disrespect. Every part of the experience is a money grab. Compulsory coat check.. Where I've never been spoken to so rudely in my life. I work in a pub at night and would never speak to people sober or drunk the way they spoke to me. 19 year olds on power trips its insane. Can't use debit. Can't use credit unless you spend 30$. Can't sit down anywhere in the club unless you pay for bottle service. But no one offers bottle service. Still can't believe they get away with this. Security checks were extremely invasive. Never had my bag checked so thoroughly. Blows my mind how this place gets away with their disgusting customer service. The bouncer on the door is possibly the worst I've dealt with. No manners and super petty. Just dismisses you. Avoid avoid avoid. Just scamming people out of their money without even trying to be nice about it.

very trashy place. the people they let in are all trashy. this club has no class they let everyone and anyone in...and the employees are very rude. specially the servers.. their attitudes are disgusting, they never smile and they all very young with no experience. seems like the owner or manager just hired a bunch of young girls for their looks with no serving or bottle experience at all. me and my friends were there on Sunday for their shisha night and our server took 45 min to bring our shisha and our bottles and blamed it on the guy in charge of making the shisha.. then told me she was dealing with her other tables and that we had to wait a little longer cause our bottles were not ready? since when do you need to get a bottle ready? as a server you should be on point with all your tables. ill never go here again... very disappointed. I hope when you guys read this you take in consideration how much a first impression from your servers matters for your customers nobody wants to be served by someone who never smiles and is rude ...the girls name was Chanel or something like that ... this girl has no experience what so ever and is rude af. I couldn't even have simple convo with her cause all she cared about was what bottle I'm getting lol. the fact that you have someone like that on your team is a shame.

The bouncer just let his friends in. When we asked why those people got in first, he said they got bottle service. But there was another line for bottle service. We asked again how he knew if they actually got bottle service because he let like 15 people in at a time. He said he just followed whatever his manager told him to do. Then I asked next time if I wanna get bottle service like that, who should I reserve it with. He intentionally ignored me lol.

My first time at Music will probably be my last which is unfortunate cause the actual music is great but the staff on the other hand not so great. We did bottle service which took forever to organize and still charged us cover. Ive never had to pay cover anywhere else when doing bottle service. The staff is kinda rude and the security over the top. Still managed to have a good night but that was some due the company I had and not the venue.

Was at music tonight with some friends and apon entering was greeted buy a security guy that asked me very politely for my ID so that he could scan it. Before he even scanned it I was very impressed that he took the time to look at it and even noticed that it was my birthday and said happy birthday to me. It made my night and my first experience of music night club a great experience. I found out at the end of the night that his name is Garry and because if him and his Professionalism I will definitely be back again soon.

I wish I could give a zero star to this night club. The worse nightclub in Calgary in all forms. I contacted this nightclub a month ago stating that I was coming with 12 of my friends to Celebrate the birthday of my friend and we would like to reserve a table. Someone responded to my text that he is here to help but would answer my questions after 3 to 4 days later. We got there no table was reserved for us. fortunately we were early so we picked out table but guess what the manager came and adked us to go and sit in the back corner which was so dark and isolated. We were forced to buy 2 bottles on the spot for $200 each. Manager was very mean and disrespectful. The club is so dark and not classy at all. We paid for coat services $3 each. cut long story short Worse cloud ever. Will never go there ever again. Huge mistake

Good vibes great people clean place and decent sheesha!. Honestly was very impressed at the fact that I could drink and smoke sheesha while being at a club! But yo shout out to my boy Osama the door man most humble guy you'll ever meet in Calgary! Check this place if you want a good time!!!!!

Awful awful night club. You can't even wear your hat or sweater or jacket inside, making you required to pay. There is no disclaimer that you can't wear those before you enter the club. The waiting time for a man to get in may be over 15 minutes but for a woman it is under 5 seconds.

Understand the need for venue security but felt kind of violated by the level of security screening. Being my first night at the club I wasn't sure what to expect. But upon entry to be greeted by a full body pat down and thorough examination of my wallet and contents with no forewarning left a bad taste in my mouth. The two females I was with felt equally uncomfortable with the situation. I'm a solid man and for me to feel uncomfortable says a lot. We won't be returning.

The security here is unbelievable. My friend who was using the bathroom was accused of doing drugs while she was buttoning up her body suit from female security and on top of that she was being rude and harassing her. Never coming here again that's forsure????

Sergio place , dishonest and rude people, came for a Halloween contest and got scammed out of even going up , DJ told us our costumes were boring and there were better ones when there really wasn’t , we were the only contestants to have not bought Walmart or drugstore costumes , super rude of him to say this , and then he lied to us saying we went up and got booed even though we were at the back of the line. Super annoyed do not recommend would give -100 stars if I could, terrible service, rude staff, and stupid how you have to pay money to be able to sit.

Only decent thing about the place is the flashy lights. Yes they are quite enticing to stare at, as they are the only thing distracting you from the out of date music, and overall lousy atmosphere. Personally, I think a club should be good before they try to shove a ridiculous dress code down the throats of the customers. If you wear a hat, sweater, vest, or anything of the sorts, they will make you pay for coat check for each individual item. After you've paid more than necessary for coat check and realize you've wasted all that money on a sub-par experience, you'll be forced to wait as a middle-aged woman struggles to find your coat. I am unaware of her name, but she is clearly not capable of working in a fast pace, demanding environment. After she realizes she pulled the wrong coat, she will toss it in a pile (usually on the floor), so that the unlucky owner of said jacket will be forced to find it hours later. In an effort to fill their always empty VIP area, they will send the most attractive waitresses to walk around and ask people to buy bottle service for 250 a bottle. Please note I only gave a start because you have to in order to post a review. Save your money people!

Only a two since it’s the only place for Latin Nights. The coat check girls are horrible at their jobs and there’s no consistency between staff. Waiting in line well before the guest list cut off but got in pass the ID check 2 minutes after cut off and they always give my wife and I the dirtiest looks and the worst attitude. And still charge us cover, even though the security say not to. Get rid of them or teach them

I dont understand why people are ripping on this place. As long as your there to have a good time, not stupid. And don't wanna wear your hood inside for some reason its perfect. 1st club ive bin to and it was awesome. Theres no hats or jackets allowed they get put in coat check. Music was really good actually younger and older crowd 18-30s. Some hot chicks to forsure. Don't believe every review you read.

I have been to Music Nite Club several times for birthday parties. The atmospehere is great and welcoming. The staff always treated us with respest and always on point. The staff is always well dressed and are always available to serve and cater for our needs. The music caters for all ages and very vibrant. I always dance my heels off, a good excuse to get those moves and show them off lol.
