You will be able to see the feddbacks of people like you who bought the products of Evolution Wonderlounge (Night Club) near Alberta (Canada).
At this moment the business receives a score of 4.1 stars out of 5 and this score is based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that it has an average rating is really good, and it's based on a very large number of scores, so we may be pretty sure that the score is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are happy with the service, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Night Club belongs to the category of Gay bar.
So so so so SO INACCESSIBLE ???? On too of which none of the employees seem trained on how to let disabled patrons in, and when they do they treat you like a huge burden. It's happened all 8 times I've been.
My husband and I visited this boring basement establishment last night (horrible music). They took our operators license and photo as we entered. We couldn't clearly see what they were doing with the license. It appeared to us that they recorded our home address. If so, this is illegal. As per Bill 42 they are only allowed to collect your name, age, and photo. Why do you want my address? We do not recommended this establishment. HORRIBLE music, rude staff, and it smells bad.
It's pretty much a straight bar
I'm not sure where the DJs are from? Music could more variety Reggeaton is hot right now Seems like the DJs don't read the crowd Trust me play reggeaton you will thank me ! Better yet hire me I know music
Fun bar with some really wonderful staff members. The door guys were fantastic & the guy ID’ing was sooo friendly and welcoming. The environment inside the bar is upbeat and fun, however I have to say the woman collecting cover charge could have been nicer. My friends & I were out celebrating a birthday & had 6 of us under one person paying. She had to run into the ATM to take out cover cash & as she was gone we were told that everyone in our group had to wait against the wall next to the cover table. We waited & when my friend returned to pay the cover lady told her that SIX other guys had told them they were with our party & tried to charge my friend for 12 people’s cover. They were not waiting against the wall with the rest of our party & we all received stamps together before entering. After we explained the situation and told them we had no idea who the guys were and my friend would not be paying for 6 extra people, the woman just talked to us like we were wasting her time and pissing her off, when we just wanted to clarify as my friend was very upset and worried about getting kicked out if she didn’t cover those who lied to get in free. I understand working in a nightclub is busy and sometimes conversations/situations have to be blunt and quick, but quality customer service & experience is also important especially when it’s not a mistake on our end. Good place to go out for a night otherwise & big thanks to the owner for all the support given to the LGBTQ+ community in YEG through EVO.
A great place that’s a staple in the community.
I wish they would play modern music. Same music almost every time. Rather hear top 10
Lots of events. It is popular with the university crowed. Definitively the best LGBTQ friendly space in Edmonton.
Amazing. Shows are out of this world. Pay whatever the cover is because it’s a steal for the level of entertaintment you’ll be receiving.
Had a horrible experience here last night. Was disappointed given the amount of positive reviews. Can't recommend
Fun vibe! Safe zone! I always return! Great place for groups of friends to come dance or even a great place to meet friends. I got to dance on stage with Shangela and Alyssa Edwards here on my birthday a few years ago and that was definitely a highlight of my times spent here. Looking forward to the venue being reopened.
Just a basement bar. Nothing special. Expensive drinks.
We end up going here a lot because they have great drag shows! It's not the Roost, but it might just get there someday! The alcohol selection is pretty decent, and there are three bars to choose from. The bartenders are quick and friendly. There is lots of room to dance if that is what you like to do. It's really not my kind of music but it is entirely thumpy and catchy. The dance floor is always full. Great DJ. Evo really supports the LGBTQ community with fundraisers and events all the time. A great night out every time.
always busy in the weekend. they need cash for entrance. great bar and drag show
great atmosphere, pretty welcoming , my friends and I feel safe here and the staff service is awesome but the music is pretty disappointing . if they played less 90's and tacky dance pop and more hip-hop, r&b , Latin music and better EDM that you can actually move too then yeah I would say this is the place to go lol
There's a group of backstabbing people that hang out there. Not nice at all. They have no debt system at the bars ( tax fraud ya know). And the bathrooms are always broken and dirty.
Had so much fun at the Experimental show. They acts were amazing and the host was priceless. Definitely will be coming back for the next show.
Always a great time at Evo! Awesome lighting and music (Especially when Velix is rockin it!). Decent drink prices, and a really awesome layout. Many different chill / hangout areas throughout the club. There's even an area with super comfortable leather couches, and an LED light Wall! It's always nice to just kick back on one of the couches for a break after dancing it up on the nicely sized dancefloor. 2 bathrooms for men and 2 for women, so there's NEVER a line up to get into the bathroom. The entire bar is always well maintained and kept very clean.
A special little spot supported by a great community! The staff are always so caring and friendly.
I always have a good time when I go to evo. The staff and the environment are welcoming, and I appreciate how much they do for the LGBTQ+ community.
Great music, awesome performers, & a safe and inclusive atmosphere.
Dingy
Great staff and fun crowd!
The best bar in the world, friendly, fun and beautiful. It became like a second home for me during my short time in Edmonton and I will always cherish my time there! ????
Always a fun time, friendly staff, a safe place to go dance and have fun, bring your girls, or your boys or whoever your crew is and dance to the amazing DJ'S

I had an amazing time. It's in a little need of a renovation but other than that is comfortable. The staff and patrons are lovely people and I'm definitely going back.
Great experience. Look forward to many more tipsy nights with friends
Always a great time at EVO! Their music is amazing, staff are sweet and the owners care about making a difference in the lgbtq community. Extra shout out to DJ Velix she’s the ????
Evolution is an amazing home for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community in Edmonton. Thank you for all the you do!
The best need I say anything else
Great atmosphere, awesome place to go and dance !! Amazing music and vibe. For sure a place I will be going to often!!
Fun bar, but you might have the "locals" giving you dirty looks for having a good time.
Great bar
It where everybody knows my name and they are always glad I came ????????????
Great staff, great DJ's. Have seen several high quality drag performances ranging from RuPaul winners to very talented local queens (who run shows on Sundays). One of my favourite karaoke spots, using a full sound system and a pair of dedicated hosts, on Thursdays.
I have been going to this bar for many years. The staff are amazing and so is the owner Rob. They work so hard to keep the lgbtq+ pride alive all year round and host the single mose fun club to go to with all your friends. This club has been the heart of me and all my best friends most memorable experiences, my best birthday parties and the the wild craziest nights I have had over the last many years. The reason is this club has alot of heart, amazing staff that are all truly amazing people and patrons that just go there to have a good time. Thank you for all the amazing work you do for the community and thank you for becoming me and all my friends favorite club, not just in the city...Ever.
Always a good time. Love the music.
I really like this place and it’s one of the few good queer venues in Edmonton but it’s sooooo inaccessible for disabled people. They don’t have a wheelchair entrance and even tho I don’t use a wheelchair (yet), the stairs are really steep and difficult to get up and down. :( it’s a bummer but it’s still a lovely place and they have gr8 drinks and gr8 entertainment
My favorite place to go on Friday or Saturday nights. Great drag shows, great crowd. I find the staff friendly and welcoming. Other patrons are also out for a good time and that adds up to a fine night of mingling, socialising and other sheninigans ????. I didn't give a 5 star rating because this place gets really warm with all the bodies dancing. They really need to invest in an effective cooling system.
Music is on point!!! The girl dj there was amazing. I think her name was Velix? Kept me dancing all night long!
I’m super introverted and they were really nice about me not being quite ready to dance and sitting quietly and the drinks were super yummy too!
Friendly staff, with drink prices that are very reasonable compared to most other places in Edmonton. Bottle Service is by far the best way to go!
One of my favorite places in the world. Welcoming, safe, amazing for the community, and taking a stand for customers and staff's safety. They are an excellent example of what all businesses should strive to do in this city.
interVivos held “A Provincial Affair 2019” at Evolution Wonderlounge on April 2, 2019. In true support of civic engagement, the owners graciously donated their beautiful space for our event. Located in the heart of Edmonton, Evolution Wonderlounge was a recognizable name that excited many of our attendees. It was accessible by transit, with free, nearby street parking available after 6. Our event was in a speed networking style, and the large space allowed for 100 people to freely move from their tables, to the bar to get food and drinks, and to mingle. The neon lights and eccentric artwork on the walls and tables provided a welcomed change of board rooms and conference rooms for interVivos. There was also enough seating for a large number of guests, which is great for groups that plan on having a lot of attendees. The large stage was also fantastic for the many photo-ops of the speakers and the volunteers. The staff was friendly and accommodating during the planning stages. We hope to work with Evo and their staff again sometime in the future!
Good venue and decent shows.
The gay place to be, want to feel like your at home and having a great time? Evo's the place to be.
The staff and the atmosphere at Evolution is always on point. If you’re looking for an amazing place to dance all night (especially when Velix is on the decks), and great drinks - Evolution Wonderlounge is the place to be.
Hit or a miss.
Kinda trashy, but fun. Watch out for the coke-heads.
First of all, I want to say my overall experience was pleasant. The bar staff were very polite and always had a smile on their faces. Coming from the west coast, bar staff can be rude as if you're not giving them money. So amazing service is always a big bonus. However, I wish the door girl could have been clear about entry. We can after the Beyoncé concert and it was free entry with ticket. So myself and another friend got in for free, but they did not tell our other two friends. When she tried to get her money back the door girl said "how do I know you're not lying and using someone else's ticket?" kind of ridiculous. Second issue with this place was the DJ.. On a night you know is going to be EXTRA busy. Why would you have a inexperienced DJ? Why are you paying a mouthy, MacBook owning amature? Like I could have done a better job pressing play, and then pause. I've never heard such bad transitions in between songs ever! When you're one of two gay bars in a huge city, you should have pride in your venue, service and the entertainment. In a city of nearly 1 million, I can say there are over 1000 DJ's out there with amazing raw talent. you wouldn't even have to pay these DJ's , because they just want the exposure. So as a business I think this is your biggest failure. This is why you let myself and edmonton down. That is all.
Love the drag shows! Better than RuPauls all star show! The DJ is usually great. Awesome to stay around and dance after the show. It would be nice to see Evolution host an underage event during the day where young members of the pride community can learn about "real life" issues and ways people have overcome the challenges they have faced in day to day life.
This was disappointing to say the least. I booked this event for my sister’s bachelorette party. We waited outside for an hour, and the “show” began 2 hours late. Alberta's next drag show. The venue was oversold, and the drinks were overpriced. I spent over $100 on tickets, and a meet and greet that we did not go to, due to the huge let down this event was. The stage was barely lit, impossible to see and we had to watch it on dirty bar TVs. I want my money back.
I loved it! It was my first time being at a Drag show Nov 9. All the Queens were great but Twiggy as the host was fantastic. She was so sassy and classy at the same time. I would definitely go see her again????
Nice place, great music.
SO much Fun!! This is my first time to watched a burlesque. The owner, Rob, is awesome.
Always a great choice for a night out. They have cheap drinks, awesome music and friendly staff. On Sundays they have one of the best drag shows in the city, showcasing some of Edmonton's finest drag.
I've always had a blast here. Everyone is super welcoming and friendly. If there's a lineup, we've still always got in super fast. My favorite nights are when Velix is djing. She always keeps the dance floor packed every time!
super fun environment to have fun and dance around . love the dj
Awesome place every time I have been!!!
Talented Performers but whats with the door policy forced photography of patrons and scanning their ID!? Feels more like getting booked at a police station than going to a nightclub is this an Alberta thing? In Montréal they don't even ask for ID going here feels like a prison state and half the club is outside smoking at the employee entrance but they wouldn't let me leave out that door marked exit I had to walk all the way around the building to leave or enter. Came here for Latrice Royal who was a no show and wasted my time coming here. Thankfully Manila Luzon did show up and did a great job with two local queens. Please Alberta treat your clients like VIPs not like they are getting arrested or going thru airport security.
Wonderful place ~ great energy and welcoming. I like that is a place everyone can be themselves.
Great bar, good people
I have never been here but the owner has always been very kind to me. Very nice person. I believe his name his rob. He comes to my workplace with a kind gentleman named josh. Very good people...
What a wonderful place with such caring and supportive staff. It really feels like a safe space where you can go to have fun. A special thank you to Mel, who was working the coat check last night. Above and beyond the call of duty.
Wow!
An Edmonton staple that has given back literally thousands of dollars back into the community, charities and other initiatives. In the current club scene, there are plenty of straight venues looking to cash in on gay dollars by hosting one-off drag/lgbtq+ targeted events (especially during pride week) - Evolution Wonderlounge continues to stand out by being Edmonton's queer-owned hot spot 365 days a year. Support local, and support who genuinely supports you - keep queer spaces alive (perhaps you feel safe at a straight bar, which is genuinely great, but not all of us do) and thriving through your patronage instead of lining the pockets of people who only seemingly care to make a quick buck.
Went last night with a few girlfriends. Door staff were not welcoming. Music was poor and the dj didn't smile once. We didn't like the vibe, left, went and played pool at Metro :)
Went to a drag show was a lot of fun
Great karaoke on Thursdays! For that I would give 5 stars, it's especially nice to have karaoke start at 7:00pm so i can sing, have a few drinks and go home by 10:00! Only get 4 stars overall for only accepting cash at the bar and kinda limited booze selection. (i get why they wouldn't want to use a debit credit system, the damn credit companies steal so much from small business, but still.) So bring cash! relaxed atmosphere and friendly patrons.
Very very very in decline. Did not like the DJ who was there last night. And why have you added a barrier between the dance floor and the DJ? This bar is in decline. Wasn't busy. Which should have told us something as soon as we arrived
Drag shows are a lot of fun here
Golden
Awesome place and awesome staff.
By far the very best club I have ever had the fortune to attend; from staff and management to the patrons, every single person who I have met and interacted here with has been solid gold. The atmosphere is singular in its warmth and acceptance, making Evo my very favourite “home away from home”.
Getting worse every week. Unfortunate
Went there last night I was tipsy and tried joking with the security about the coke stain on my shirt being a Jager. When I tried to use the washroom again before leaving she got so frustrated and shoved me into the exit stairs. Now my leg is full of bruises.... Last time I go there
Amazing atmosphere, welcoming environment and so much fun for a night out!!
Great place! Love the atmosphere and the staff is super friendly. They definitely know how to put on fantastic shows!
Love the vibe! Great place for the LGBTQ+ community. Good drinks and absolutely LOVE the old building and what they did with decor!
Horrific music tonight (Sat Mar 23rd). If that keeps up your bar will not thrive nor survive.
Great place. Check out their Facebook and website pages for events. Would have put five stars but Rob doesn't smile enough!????????????
ABSOLUTELY the most welcoming and positive atmosphere always. The only club I can go to where I feel as good as I do here, and the shows are So Good wow. So wonderful, I always go here.
