Wouldn't go here. Staff think transgender means you will attack the opposite sex in a washroom and ask inappropriate questionsabout the trans process. They don't know the difference between gay and trans-gender.

This bar has a sign that says "you must use the bathroom of your assigned gender." They also dragged a woman out of the woman's bathroom simply for being transgender. This is disgusting and a hate crime. Transphobia isn't welcome in Canada.

Corona Tavern in Medicine Hat, is completely not a friendly bar, I strongly recommend staying away from this bar, please share this status and let everyone know! Tonight I was dancing on the dance floor and was un expectedly king hit by a girl, security watched it happened and informed me "they wouldn't do anything about it because they are scared of her" this is not ok! When I asked to speak to the owner he was to "busy" to deal with it! Really?

This is not a friendly bar at all. Do not support this place. Posting a sign telling people, "you must use the bathroom of your birth gender" is complete garbage. It's not trans people you need to worry about its the bullies that cause the problems. It would cause more issues and bullying to have a trans person going into the bathroom in which they don't identify with. Shame on this establishment.

Today (August 19, 2017), my friend and I went to the club and planned on staying for about 30 minutes and didn't plan on drinking (we were sober the whole time). As soon as we entered, I saw a quarter on the ground - completely out of the way of people and traffic. I picked it up because hey lucky quarter right? Apparently not; as soon as we made it to the dance floor, a bouncer approached us and told us that we needed to leave by saying "alright you guys are done". We were confused and asked why and he said "you guys can't pickup money" and we calmly said "okay" and headed for the door. Right after we exited, he shouted back at us "and don't even try to come back in". We don't plan to.

I stand with the decision of the Bar. This is the last place ( a bar) that "drunken people" should be let loose in each others bathroom's. I will not frequent any place that puts my safety, as a woman in question. We all know what some people do when they get drunk, the last thing I need to encounter is a drunken rude and violet man in the washroom. You won't see women go in the men's washroom ....it would only be as a last resort. Your main clientele are your priority.

Just wanted to offset the unfair negative reviews posted by people who've never been to the establishment. Rough times always pass, negative press will eventually disappear. To the owners, I don't think you're bigots, just good people in a situation blown out of proportion. And to the people who read a news story and want to comment hate, you're supposed to be fighting against hate, not advocating hatred toward someone you feel deserves it. Let's all be nice for a change. :)

This is a great bar and and we enjoyed many nights here. I think they should have the bathrooms labelled as "Penis" and "Vagina" to make things clear for the LGBTQ patrons.
