We have all the opinions of people who used the products of Ford Piquette Avenue Plant (Museum) in Windsor territory (Canada).
At the present this business gets a rating of 4.8 stars out of 5 and this score was based on 127 reviews.
As you can read, it has an average rating is practically the highest, and it's founded on a high number of reviews, so we may think that the assessment is very credible. If people have bothered to leave their feddback when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
As you know, we don't usually bother to give scores when they are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum belongs to the category of Museum.
Great place! Take tour! We had knowledgeable, passionate tour guide. We had nice time. Didn't put 5 stars because felt that it was a little too long of a tour and by the end of it half of the people left.

I'll start by saying, I'm not s Ford guy, but this building, contents and tour went way dealer than just the Ford roots. This building exemplified engineering roots at its finest, even structurally. So cool.
Jerry was a fabulous, patient, knowledgeable, funny, and engaging tour guide. He was very enthusiastic the whole time, going over minute details of the cars at times. The building itself was a treat with its wood floors, beams, fire doors, and old charm. Having all of these cars in one building, in my opinion, gets you the most bang for your buck considering other museums. The entire staff was friendly. Overall this is a must see in Detroit.
Wonderful historic journey of automobile manufacturing and the originally Ford's first assembly plant
This is one of the little jewels that is in the city of Detroit I'd have never known that it existed if I wasn't riding my bicycle around downtown. The tour guides know quiet a lot of the history and we had a very enjoyable time Thank you Dick,Patrica, and to all the volunteers that make it happen.
A killer museum in the heart of Detroit! The perfect place for that car enthusiast and history buffs out there. It does a wonderful job depicting the history of the auto industry. Their car collection is out of this world! I highly recommend purchasing a ticket and exploring with one of their tour guides. They are amazing! The private gravel lot is nice and safe, along with the surrounding lots and street parking. There are a ton of stairs to the second floor of the museum, but there is an elevator for those accessibility-friendly individuals. This museum has a little bit of everything for everyone! It is truly a gem, a must-see during your time in Detroit!
Vist the place where the world changed with the advent of the model T. The plant itself is plain but the cars located here give you a slice of what was made here
Excellent piece of history! A must see! The staff is awesome!
Beautiful historic sight of Ford motor company's first major manufacturing plant.
Very enjoyable tour. Tom, the tour guide was knowledgeable, fun and seems to really know his Ford trivia. Definitely worth a stop.
This was a really awesome visit in the very First Henry Ford plant. Here happens everything befor the well known stories about the Tin Lizzy and the available color of them. Thanks also to our tour guide! Need to visit this place!
Packed with rare historic cars that, paired with a tour, gives even a non-motorhead like me an appreciation for how Henry Ford innovated his vehicles over time to create the cars we see on the road today (as well as some common American catch-phrases). The historic factory building is also really cool to see along with its story about the grassroots movement that retooled the factory one window at a time to make it the museum that it is today.
Absolutely a MUST for any car lover. APX 2 hours to see it all.
Great hidden gem. Docent that did the tour was fantastic, very knowledgeable and made it interesting to learn about these cars and the history of how the plant ran
A very historic building, the car collection is good, however all the other displays and the gift shop are extremely lacking. The only child friendly activity is a box of match box cars and a filthy playmat carpet.
I enjoyed the place. They had many mant different types of model cars built by The Ford Company (A-T models). The tour guide had a lot of good information on the cars and about the wage and how they were paid. The womens restroom was very cool I liked it a lot. The only down of the trip was the gift shop, there wasn't a miniature build of a model A-T car. It would've been pretty cool. Only downside of the trip
It's in the National Registry of Historic places. Many rare and historically important cars are housed there. The building still needs much more renovation, but one can feel the pride and joy in being part of this experience through the eyes of the guides.
Awesome place. Our tour guide Dick was amazing the knowledge he has.
Awesome tour, I highly recommend it to everyone!
Yes
historical place had such a nice time
Very interesting tour given by a retired auto engineer. The docents are knowledgeable and engaged, and lots of car afficianados in the group too, so there were good questions. There's currently an exhibit of all the Ford Models A through T on loan for just a few more years. They also have events so it's worth going back.
The tour was so good and interesting, we did it twice! The history of Ford is here. This is where it began. Five stars is not enough.

Awesome place. The cars in display are true classics and range from years, models etc. The tour guides were awesome and full of knowledge to answer any questions. Overall just a great experience!

A great place in Detroit to visit & learn about the simple life back in the days of the"T".
The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant features an incredible amount of automotive history. I was fortunate enough to visit the plant during its unveiling of the Secret Experimental room — lots of work was put into restoring it to its former glory. An exciting place to visit!
Our tour was fantastic! Tom our tour guide was very informative and funny. This is a great place to visit. My husband and I learned a lot about the Model T and Henry Ford. This building is a hidden gem right in the heart of Detroit.
Attended the Model T Celebration with my children here. Great atmosphere and so much to do! A free event with rides around the block on a real Model T, a kids zone, free museum entry and fun activities for the kids. Loved it.
Arrived about 1pm on September 11 thought I was going to through take some pictures... ended up on the tour and over two hours later my head crammed with more knowledge I ever thought possible, right down to the chalk based paint and the 1904 sprinkler system our guide was amazing.
Great visit for model T birthday celebration. We joined up! Will be back soon
Great place to be if you line vintage Ford models like A,B,C and T models. This is the first company owned factory of Ford and this is where it all begun.Public tour starts Wed-Sun 10 am, 12 pm and 2 pm.
Tom- your tour was awesome ???? thanks for a tour that was entertaining and informational.
Really neat place with lots of old Ford cars from the early 1900's. Definitely worth a visit
Lots of passionate people here
Took the 10am tour. It was amazing. The guide gave us so much information and told fun stories, more than what one could read on the plaques. The cost was the same. Plus, there were so many antique cars to look at up close. I highly recommend this tour
I have taken the tour twice each with a different group of friends. How fortunate we are to have this gem restored and available to us. The guides are extremely knowledgeable.
Go back in time and see the wonders of the automobile. This place is worth the trip and the guide is amazing. You’ll walk out of the experience amazed. Go visit this beautiful heritage.
Tim Hortons has come a long way but they real good
The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant is a must visit if you are in Detroit. It is located about 3 miles from the Tigers Comerica Park. Plan to spend about 2-3 hours here. Tickets are $12 for an adult and there is a 30 minute movie and a guided tour available several times a day. Nearly all cars on display are fully operational. Most leak oil or fluid and can be seen with a pan underneath to collect the runoff.
Amazing cars! Cool to see so much history in one building. Also, a little surprise on the third floor...
Great guide, awesome history, great information and beautiful cars.

Excellent tour by Docent Jerry. Truly a great experience.
A great place to see and learn about the beginning of the automobile industry. Very friendly and knowledgeable guides.
The best museum I've been to in a long time and Tom is a amazing tour guide
I came for a wedding reception dinner. It is an old Model T factory that now has a banquet hall on the third floor. There is a Ford museum in the building. The caterer was fantastic. The music was also quite nice. The guitarist and violinist never played together before tonight and they make a great team. We had some Swedish Meatballs, Sesame Chicken, and some other appetizers. All were perfect. Tasty, moist, warm, and only made me want more. Our table was well served. I had the hand cut filet mignon with Santa Ana Potato and charred Broccoli. Flavorful, juicy, tender, awesome! I am asking about the caterer... they did a great job. Just got the 411 on the caterer the name is Andiamothey did a great job. The servers are quick, accurate, polite, and very attentive. The married couple arrived in a 1921 Model T Ford. And the music, though full of Beatles music had a Roaring Twenties vibe. What a great time.
Fascinating trip into the history of Detroit's Auto industry. Plenty of beautifully restored antique cars and trucks. Very knowledgeable guides.

It is still a work in progress, our docent guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience.
Very cool place if you are interested in automotive or Detroit history
You can't miss this tour! Very interesting history of Henry Ford and the beginning of the car industry in Detroit. Take your camera for family pictures.
Really cool museum. Worth a visit. Could spend a couple hours here.
Very cool and informative tour, excellent tour guide!
This was the first Ford plant before the assembly line! Fun tour for a car enthusiast or history buff. Part of tour is guided and then you can hang around and take pictures.
Incredible space.
This place is awesome my girlfriend suprised me with a day here. It is not only for gearheads but for anyone. It was more than awesome to learn and be in the same place that so many people worked honest jobs. This place is history u can touch.(that doesnt mean just go touching all the cars.) I will go back again and again
Great information! Fabulous cars. They even let us pose in a model T. You can’t ask for better!
Definitely worth a visit if you're interested in the early development of Ford automobiles.
Jerry was our tour guide and he’s extremely knowledgeable and fun. I had a great experience learning all the history of Henry Ford. Great small gem in Detroit ! ????
Great place to visit!!! The birthplace of Model T. The place is definitely worth to visit!
This was a great tour. The tour was about an hour and a half. Very informative and a great collection saved by real enthusiasts. Highly recommend you stop and take the tour here!

A beautiful wedding today honor to share the night with them in a beautiful setting
We are from Kansas City and we're told we should go, there is so much history here, even if you're not a Ford fan it'll make you appreciate where they came from and how much Henry Ford did for the Automobile! Our tour guide Mike was great and answered all of our questions! This is a MUST to do in Detroit!
This place is a must-see! Great museum, knowledgeable people to guide you through, great venue for parties!
Your guide was very knowledgeable. He had a passion for the Ford vehicles.
Hidden gem in Detroit. Definitely worth visiting and taking a tour

This is an absolute gem, surprisingly close to midtown Detroit. It is wonderful to get to see the building where the Model T was developed, and where the first 12,000 were built. The museum is a nonprofit institution, and it was pretty clear that the 2 guides present for our visit were there due in part to a long affiliation with the auto business. Seeing the original offices, a re-creation of the development room, and a stunning variety of all early Ford vehicles makes for a wonderful introduction to this part of Detroit's history, and is a nice way to support the continued existence of this building. The tour, blessedly, took longer than we thought it would, as our guide had lots of wonderful information to share with us.
A 100 yr old bldg turned unique and amazing venue. For this wedding celebration And Andiamo catered dinner.... Very good quality.
Just a great place to learn about history in Detroit and of Ford.
Interesting place to visit.
Good collection of historical old Fords on display. The tour guides are interesting, friendly and have extensive knowledge of the displays and the Ford company. If you are a Ford enthusiast you will need to allow some time to see all the displays.
Worth a stop. Very interesting display of old Ford vehicles. Was set up for a wedding
Beautiful place to visit and have events!
Very unique and interesting history about one of the 1st factories for producing the Model T
Beautiful museum. A spectacular wedding venue but it is rather inconvenient at times. Things are in strange places.

Beautiful historic venue for hosting a Hilda craft show.

Fun wedding venue. Beautiful old space. Dancing among the cars is fantastic.
Walking the floors of this Ford manufacturing plant and offices made me feel more a part of the auto history than I have felt in any other location in the city. In addition, there is a beautiful car collection on site. And I found the docents both enthusiastic and knowledgeable, so it was an excellent visit to a Detroit classic.
The tour guide was fantastic!
This was my second visit there. They've done so much work to really bring back the history of this Ford plant! Our guide Tom was such an enthusiastic story teller that he help our group wrapped for the whole tour. Yes, go!
Nice old museum and a decent idea for an outing. I must point out the building isn't heated and the quality of the tour varies based on the guide.
Great set of restored cars and detailed history on Henry Ford. Definitely worth a few hours.
Excellent place! Go visit this place and learn about the first official Ford factory
Very interesting place to stop. I recommend the tour as they go through so much that you would never have known. History made in that building is amazing. Love ford and even if you don't still a great place to stop. I'm glad this building was restored!
I went expecting it to be boring. It was anything but. I throughly enjoyed it.

A great piece of Detroit auto history. Our tour guide gave us a connection to that time period because of his telling of personal stories from people that lived back then. Saw lots of cars from. That period. They are following COVID safety precautions and the place is big enough to socially distance if you want.

The museum is great and my son and I had looked forward to coming over for years, Imagine our disappointment at HOW FREEZING it was in there. I understand that it's Michigan, it's January, and this is a big old, uninsulated building. But …
Went to a family wedding here! Was literally spectacular! The building, food, staff, a perfect 10!
What a great museum with so much history.

Had my wedding reception here. What a great unique venue. Jeff was awesome. Thank you so much
Very cool museum! The tour guide we had was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the subject matter, which im turn made his audience very invested in the story he was trying to tell. He was even very good with the people who tend to annoyingly ask questions in the middle of him talking and want to hold up the tour with extremely detailed questions that aren't appropriate for the little amount of time they have the tour group for. He was very polite. I don't even like cats that much and I loved it. My boyfriend who is sooo interested in cars was so into it I could barely drag him away. Also, cool note, you can have your wedding there if you're so inclined!
One of the best museums for cars out there anywhere. Take a guided tour!
Jerry was an awesome guide and had some great info to share even on one of the last tours of the day. This place has some incredible automotive history, not limited to Ford cars alone. They've even got an example of one of the first EV's, …
Some great old history here. The tour is not overwhelming. But the tour guide was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable. Several really old cars in original state and many others worth viewing.
Very nicely done. Guides were very knowledgeable.
Quite a remarkable building and collection of cars. The recreation of Henry Ford's office was really interesting and well done. It's not too far from downtown and is pretty close to Woodward Avenue. Highly recommended if you're interested in automotive history.
This place is amazing! Maybe not the best for toddlers, but even still the staff and our experience was wonderful! Go!

Incredible place! The amount of history that is in that building is incredible. You certainly don't have to be a car enthusiast to be able to appreciate all that is within. Had the opportunity to see it as just the museum as well as set up for a wedding. Incredible place for a wedding. The staff was great.
The birthplace of the model t a great experience and we'll knowledge staff learned so much a note they have weddings on site as well. We'll worth the time to view history
If you love cars you need to go....I just thought I would see more assembly areas...

A very cool stop if you're visiting Detroit. It's sort of an evolving work-in-progress, but they have acquired an impressive collection of vehicles going back to the beginning of Ford's era. You can self-guide if you want, but the walking tour was worth it. Be aware that, if you visit in the winter time, there is no heat so it's almost the same temp as outside.

This was the low point of our Detroit trip. The content could be refreshed and reinvigorated to make the long trip to visit from downtown worth the drive
Great tour guide. Great tour. Lots of interesting information. Really enjoyed seeing the cars.
Excellent piece of history. The tour is worth waiting for and really enjoyed being able to get in and touch an original Model T. Building is largely unchanged since 1904. Amazing.
Beautiful I love it
Incredible venue for a wedding! Breathtaking venue excellent parking and the service and food were top notch.
You will be amazed at all the cars and history of the factory and tools they used
We had our wedding at the Piquette Plant on May 4. It was absolutely incredible. Jeff the event manager was 100% accommodating and helpful with all of my questions from day 1. Their list of approved vendors was a great guide for me to book and plan everything. I have never heard more compliments in my life about a wedding venue. Completely unique and absolutely stunning. I can not wait to see the pictures and video from our day.
Ford Piquette Plant was the highlight of our day in Detroit. We received a stellar tour from Tom, and were very happy to spend most of our afternoon there. I would highly recommend this informative and lovely museum to anyone interested in Detroit!
Love this place. Tours are very informative.
Great tour for info about the early Ford Motor Co history.
Awesome place to visit.
Of mild interest. Mostly a display for old Fords. Don't expect to see the old assembly plant reconstructed.
Fantastic experience! Tour guides are full of factual knowledge and stories. My 9year old was with me and the guide showed us some special parts to the cars. A must see when in Detroit.
A really neat place to go. Nice bit of Detroit and Ford history. Saw an E-M-F automobile while there wich was really cool because I am related to Byron Everitt one of the founders of E-M-F Company.
Excellent guided tour and amazing vehicles!
Fun museum to see where the model T was built. Beautiful antique Fords are on display. Nice gift shop too
Great place to learn about the history of the Ford family and Ford cars.
I haven't been but it looks Interesting . I like history and took a virtual tour of the plant on my phone .
Oh boy! How did I miss this during the other visits to Ann Arbor/Detroit? All the varients of the Fort Model T under one roof, in the original factory. The guided tour provided an overview and important details, then you can spend as much time as you like going back to each can. For the car-nut there are some very rare and significant cars you can enjoy upclose and personal.

We happened to be in Detroit for a wedding and found this place! Really enjoyed our experience and had an awesome tour conducted by Jerry. Being a Mopar/GM kind of guy, I still enjoyed the history of Ford and the original cars of the Henry Ford era. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.
Excellent tour. Great car collection and terrific tour guide.
Beautifully restored! LOT of history here. If you smell the air while you walk around looking at all the automobiles of days past, it's almost like you're there in the heyday of the plant. I highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area who can appreciate history. Will definitely be back for a guided tour

For $12 and about 2 hours of your time, this is a place worth visiting. The tour guide was knowledgeable, he had a lot of anecdotes to tell, the place was kept clean, cars were shining, and you get to go in an old 1915 Model T to take a picture. Call in advance to know at which time the tours start, you can visit by your own but the tour is definitely better (you can stay after to read all the signs and take pictures). About 4 minute from the Q-Line stop; a bit of a shady neighbourhood but you're in Detroit so this is expected.
Had a great experience at the facility. Go here to see some amazing early cars and have a great time learning about them to this nonprofit organization.

Went to their event today and had a great time with my kids. They were able to ride in the Model T cars and check out the museum. Very friendly people and a neat place. Thanks for having us today. ????
Beautiful cars! Recommend the guided tour!
The history of this place is amazing, it was saved from the wrecking ball, and brought back to life. The cars in here (examples of every Letter car Henry Ford ever made are here. The age of the building, and how it was made, bring a unique ambiance as you tour the building. It's a two hour tour, and definitely worth it, even free parking.
This place is still in the process to becoming complete, but im happy that I visited before it is completely finished. It really took me back to an Era and it was nice to see all the amazing priceless original cars as well as Henry Ford's office. Definitely a must-see in Detroit.
Great musem in oryginal Ford plant location with lots of oryginal old cars. A must see in Detroit. Very friendly and helpful staff.
Awesome little gem of a museum if you are interested in cars, specifically showcasing early 1900s - 1920s. Lots of cars from the "Lost" car companies of detroit past. Went on a weekday, social distancing was easy and safe and sanitizer was provided.
We've been to the Ford Piquette Plant a number of times. The last visit was for their Holiday Crafts Sale. There were a lot of great local artists and we bought a number of affordable holiday presents! We also joined as members of the museum, very worthwhile! The museum has a lot of historic vehicles from Ford's history before the Model T on display as well as other early automobiles. Plus a lot of Henry Ford's early history before the Model T and before the assembly line. All a must see!!!
Excellent historic venue. And a great great place for a private party
Plan to stay a while , lots of information, docents are really up to speed. Nice to see where it all started for Ford.
This place is awesome, not just for the sheer number of vintage cars on display, but also for the tour guide who makes the 1-1.5 hrs engaging. Tip- the place is obscure and you may think it is closed. In fact, the entrance is to the building's right side from the parking lot.
One of The Great Historical Museum’s of the entire world-->> A TRUE ADVENTURE
Nice place to appreciate the history of Henry Ford and the Model T. Our tour guide was fabulous. Staff was very friendly . He provided us so much information about the Model T and how Mr. Ford made it the most affordable car available to the common person. It was revolutionary in how it changed society. They had many vintage Model T's and one which you could actually sit in and touch.

Henry's very first production model didn't have a name so he used the alphabet. The first one was an "A" in 1904. Great Motown history.
It's so awesome seeing all the old model t's and others. So simple but awesome.
We had such a great tour of the plant and learned a lot about not just the Model T but also Ford and the car industry in Detroit. Grew up here but museum is relatively new. Highly recommend if at interested in the history of Detroit or automobiles.
Went here for a wedding reception, and the decore and feel of this place is astounding. You ride up in an old factory elevator, and the building feels so aestheticly pleasing. They have a ton of old cars, and the place is very roomy. Highly recommend.
Very nice Venue, had never been here before. The old loft look and old model T’s give it a great flair for business networking events. I could even see a wedding here. Great service and plenty parking close.
Very interesting look at Ford's first successful factory, many model T's (and others) to look at. Cars on display go all the way back to right hand drive models!
Very informative and friendly staff. They offer tours and provide detailed historical facts. Fair prices with membership option. Many cars to see with free parking just across the street. Check it out soon!!

So cool! Several floors of gorgeous cars from Ford's start to present day. Fantastic information and the volunteers made the experience well beyond fantastic. Can easily spend 3 hours here just geeking out.

Awesome place! Great that this historical building was preserved.

Amazing part of Detroit History with an excellent staff and volunteers to guide you thir this masterpiece museum of model Ts. Along providing events for the community. I recommend visiting often and attending their events.
Just a place to be to inhale the history of Detroits Motor heritage. Unbelievable how Henry Ford made cars in that building. And.... Nothing special about Elon Musk sleeping in his plant. Henry did that regularly....
A place to definitely go visit
An incredible piece of Ford history, and a great tour!
Our docent Tom made this such a great tour. He was so informative and the love he has for the museum makes the tour even better.
Had an awesome experience! Jerry was the BEST tour guide. I learned a lot and had fun doing it. It's great to see a landmark like this preserved so well
Excellent site for students to see the building blocks for the creation of the Model T and learn of Henry Ford's influence that is still being felt today.
Yes
This is a must see when visiting Detroit. The Ford Model T Club has purchased the building and uses it to store and show their cars. The automobiles are a wonder to behold with some having special kits added. WOW!!!
First ford plant/ now a nice museum! Worth the visit
Beautiful restoration and the old cars look great. In addition, great tour guide really knowledge and funny as well. I recommend everyone take a tour here if you are visiting Detroit the first time or a long time resident too.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to this National Historic site of Henry Ford, the people, the cars, the suppliers, the investors, the pioneers, the way they lived, what it meant to the country on wheels. We got to ride in a Model A and view so many actual cars. There were 2 movies and a lunch wagon. We got in for free as a special announced tour, from our neighbor. Usually costs $10. Highly recommend.
A very good car museum with knowledgeable guides that will tell you lively stories on Henry Ford early days. Good souvenir shop, lots of photo object. Definitely worth a visit
Wow! Fantastic tour at a budget rate. Don’t miss touring this place! Amazing collection of cars and the stories were so interesting! I learned so much! I’m so glad my son and I spent the time. I’ll be returning with friends again in the future.

This is absolutely the best Muesum I've been in. The gentleman who did the company story's on Ford are very good and accurate.
Beautiful wedding venue. Historic building and classic Ford cars line each of the rooms

This has been my favorite place that I’ve been to in Detroit. I am a Ford employee, so I could not wait to see the plant (you don’t need to be an employee to enjoy). I recommend doing a guided tour. Jerry was my tour guide and he was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the Piquette Avenue plant, the history of Ford, Edison, Huff, and the vehicles themselves. I was shocked to see how much of the plant is still original, and felt like I was taken back in time and could see Henry Ford challenging his employees to a foot race across the plant. We were also told about the many upcoming additions, and I can not wait to come back to see what changes. Ps. The $12 entrance fee in unbeatable and shocking in a good way(there also are deals on Groupon to make it even more inexpensive)
It was an amazing experience! The exhibits are unique and outstanding and the staff most helpful and friendly. I would especially thank Mr. Tom Genova who guides the tour with utmost professionalism and dedication yet emotionally stimulating. Special thanks to men and women who volunteered for years to get this place in shape. Great job everyone!
Jerry was my tour guide today and he was so knowledgeable and took all of my questions. I would highly recommend a visit to this museum.
Very impressive museum!!! Must see if your a Ford fan.
Great Birthday Party got to ride in Model T
Learned a lot! Great video presentation, tour of Henry Ford's office, and a loosely guided tour of the factory with tons of fantastic old Ford's. I believe they had at least one of all the original models built here. My nephew liked these …
A step into a historic building where the Ford Motor company brought us the model t. Amazing piece of history I was glad to see. Great museum and reasonably priced.
Great insight to the early years at Ford Motor. Just understand that much of it is unheated
Nice piece of history. Tour guide was very nice and very informative. Many unique and rare automobiles for display.
The best part of the visit was the incredibly knowledgeable and accommodating docent who guided our tour.
Great morning touring this museum. Gary was a great guide, very thorough and informative.
Very cool place for a wedding reception. The service was awesome and the food was outstanding!

Great place to have a wedding reception. Very, very cool!
Absolutely love going to the Piquette plant. Such great history there and they have done a phenomenal job in how they display it. Adults could spend hours. I think most kids would have about an hour in them max.
Excellent display of early Fords in the factory where the Model T was conceived. Great staff an docent Tom. Wonderful deconstruction of one of the Ford cars to illustrate assembly process. Great parking. Really cool to stand where production actually happened. Great 15 min film informing museum patrons of Ford history. One may rent the museum for receptions, etcetera. Mega thanks to numerous people who have donated time, cars, and money to this museum and preserving such a large piece of our history.
Attended a wedding reception here. I must preface with the fact that I love museums and historical locations. This was a beautiful venue and you even have the opportunity to take photos in an old car. During your attendance at the reception. Only downside is that the second level does not have A/C however, given the nature of the age of the building it is expected. The 3rd level where the dining and dancing was held was air conditioned and allowed to cool off after the second level warmth.
Visit the birth place of the Model T and experience a piece of automotive history.
Doing some powerline work right out front of the old Packard plant. It's very interesting they are making it look like how it was back in the day they got some beautiful things going on in that plant.
Wonderful step back into ford history. Cold on the top floor in the winter but worth the chill. Wonderful guided tour
Fantastic intimate museum. If you like industrial history or cars, it's a not-to-miss.
Interesting museum for any car or history lover. Mostly focuses on the Model T. I would suggest going on the guided tour instead of roaming around yourself.
No wait
A restored, must visit historic landmark museum that even non-car buffs will enjoy. It's rustic but we'll preserved condition helps take you back to the early days of Ford and Detroit manufacturing in general. While they have plenty of car parking, it's easy bicycling here.
I'm not into cars but this was really interesting and the tour guide was very knowledgeable and excited about what he was talking about. Would definitely recommend visiting!
Weekday
History, a must to visit while in Detroit, such amazing cars, really nice experience that transports you to the past. Discounts on tickets trough groupon.
Mike was extremely knowledgeable, and was extremely passionate about Detroit and Ford history. It was a joy to hear him talk about everything.
Fun place to celebrate a wedding reception. The vintage automobiles were amazing.
What a great experience! I can't believe I didn't know about this place. Incredible architecture and spectacular vehicles standing the test of time, impressively preserved and presented in an important and educational historical setting. Take a tour for yourself sometime soon, they need to get back to normal too!!
This is a must see for anyone interested in cars, history, Detroit, etc. I just happened upon this tour availability and I grew up in the area, I feel like I missed out by not experiencing it earlier! Super cool to learn about the Ford history and how the company Ford got it's humble beginnings in the Detroit area! The cars are all privately owned and all tour guides are knowledgeable volunteers. Each visit is a new experience since each tour guide puts on their own spin.
Definitely recommend to go there when you're in Detroit! A museum in the original plant, displaying Ford cars of the previous century. The guides are so nice, because we didn't have a lot of them, one of them offered us to show us around real quick for free! Had a great time there :)
Just wow. This place is beautiful. We had our wedding here on March 7, 2020 and even though I planned every part of it, I could never have imagined how stunning the venue would look. It was *exactly* what I wanted. The history, the beautiful character of the building, the lights, the mood...all amazing. We worker with Jeff leading up to and on the day, I can't say enough good things about Jeff. He worked hard for us, answered my many questions, was responsive and there when I needed him. Jeff's personality worked well with mine, as he's much more calm than I am. It was easy to work with him and feel like it was all going to work out. I honestly cannot imagine my wedding anywhere else and if I ever had to plan one again (God please no), I would want it to be at the Piquette Plant with Jeff. Our guests LOVED the Piquette Plant, we heard several times that it was the most unique, beautiful venue they had ever visited. We ended up loving this place so much we visited many more times than necessary before the wedding just to take it all in. You will absolutely not regret having your wedding (or any event) here, it will be more beautiful than you can ever imagine.
Make sure you tack a guided tour to fully grasp the historic significance of this plant.
I didn’t expect a guided tour which made the experience more memorable. You’re immersed in a museum that was the actual plant where the Model T was born.
The factory is not climate controlled, so consider the outdoor temperature when planning to visit. Guided tours are excellent, and there is elevator access to all floors. Highly recommended!!
Cool little place with lots of pre-war vehicles. Very friendly staff and nice gift shop.

Anna went out of her way to be welcoming and accommodating. Tour guide Tom made it even better with this enthusiasm. Great visit, must see in Detroit.
One of the best places I have ever visited! It’s a must see. Can’t wait to go back again some day.
That's where the Model T was assembled. The Ford Motor Company's first purpose-built factory. Previously space was rented on Mack Ave. Ford Models B, C, F, K, N, R, S, and T were assembled here. The Ford Model T was developed here, introduced in 1908 as a 1909 model. The first 12,000 Model Ts were assembled here and shipped out by railroad. Ford Motor Company relocated to its new Highland Park Plant in 1910, selling the Piquette building to Studebaker in 1911. Studebaker used it for automobile production until 1933. The building was occupied by Minnesota Mining and Manufacturing Company and Cadillac Overall Company until purchased by Heritage Investment Company in 1989. It was sold in 2000 to the Model-T Automotive Heritage Complex, Inc., (doing business as) the Ford Piquette Avenue Plant, that restored and now operates the historic site as a museum.

What a lovely venue! Very hospitable staff, historic but casual setting, unique property.
Taking the tour of the plant is like stepping back in time! Lots of old cars to look at, staff is friendly and very knowledgeable
The museum was beautiful with really great vintage cars
Nice piece of history, that should not be missed , I found it a nice addition to a afternoon trip downtown
Very informative about the early history of Detroit and obviously the model T and all its predecessors.
Great museum, very interesting history.
This is Henry Ford's first automotive factory. Your walking in the footsteps of where Detroit's auto history began. The model A through the first 12,000 model T's were produced here. It is an unbelievable sight to see. With admission, they offer daily tours that will walk you through everything, or you can take a self guided tour. Plan at least 3-4 hours to see everything. They have some remarkably rare vehicles, some you'll never see again. Extremely friendly staff eger to answer any questions you may have.
A must. Beautiful and the tour is amazing. Well priced and Military is free
The tour was amazing so much knowledge and the information I had no idea about it was wonderful great view an awesome cars I hope this place is open forever I'd like to take my kids when I have them!!!
What an awesome piece of history! This is probably the best little museum for the true roots of Detroit and automobiles. The tour guides are incredibly knowledgeable, and the whole experience was just fantastic. I can't recommend this place enough!
Museum was closed, so only walked around. Not the safest area but definitely clean. What people we did see were friendly. Building in good shape.
One of the best museums I have been too. The tour guide was awesome!
Definitely exceeds expectations! There is an exhibition of Ford 1904-1910 cars and also other cars. Thanks a lot to a tour guide Tom, very interesting and exciting tour!
A hidden gem on where the birth of the modern automobile started. Many more vehicles than I anticipated. Easy parking. Well worth a visit for the auto buff, and general enthusiast.
Awesome place. Really nice display of cars, clean, organized and friendly staff.
Incredible piece of Detroit history! Amazing building with beautiful antique cars, truly a must see for any Ford enthusiast or any history enthusiast for that matter! The gift shop had unique items with reasonable pricing.
I thought it was going to be boring but as it turned out it was ver interesting.
Really good tour, and fun to hear the history
Everyone should see this place and experience the love of history that continues to grow here! The dedicated volunteers that help to preserve the plant and those giving tours are just wonderful!

First time here and it was for a wedding, it was a very hot day but I absolutely loved the history behind the building and all of the artifacts to see!
Had an amazing two hour tour given by Jerry this morning. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the history of the building and the cars within. Learned so much about the early days of car manufacturing in the states. Be mindful that it is warm in the building even with the portable type of air conditioning. Great to see they use the space for weddings as well as an extra source of revenue.
Great museum, knowledgeable docents.
Wonderful chunk of forgotten history that should have NEVER been forgotten, the bits of history in the museum that I didn't know about were fascinating, most the cars were pristine, and nearly perfect, especially considering most if not all are over a hundred years old; not to mention the tour, the guide was so engaging, extremely knowledgeable, willing to answer any questions, and obviously loves his job, I don't know how I didn't know about this place sooner!
The great selection of old Ford's from the beginning through the middle T we're well worth the visit. Some of the cars hadn't been restored which was very educational. The tour guide was pleasant and knowledgeable.
The exhibits were authentic and well restored. The curators took great care in sharing their knowlege and being as attentive as possible. The overall experience is extremely informative and great for children and car enthusists. Our family had a great time learning about the history of Ford and observing the hundred or so vehicles
The Ford Piquette Plant is a wonderful museum housed in the original warehouse that Henry Ford first produced automobiles. The guided tour was excellent.
Some close friends of mine had their wedding reception here, it was cool as hell!
Great tour! Very informative and interesting. Tour guide Tom was excellent.
Beautiful examples of classic, historic automobiles and the auto industry. Very knowledgeable staff provide friendly tours. It's like stepping into an incredible segment of history.

A great museum. Very nice guided tour
Great museum showing begining od Ford company. Lot od unique cars, especially Model-T.
Beautiful Ford museum. Lots of original models. Glad I heard about you. Shared on Facebook so hopefully more people will find you.
Ford's second factory that originally produced the Model T and created the assembly process. Houses early model Fords spring the quick progression. Eventually outgrown for the Highland Park factory that contained the first assembly line. Very cool piece of automotive history.
Tour guide was great, the cars were amazing a little dusty but we'll worth the visit.
David, The Directior and Jerry, our Tour Guide were great! We became members and look forward to continuing to visit this wonderful place!
Enjoyed a fascinating tour with Jerry. He showed us the differences between the various early Ford models and brought the story of the factory and its workers to life. I've been to the Henry Ford Museum several times and was glad to find this hidden gem of automotive history.
Great place! Hopefully next year our daughter's wedding will be able to take place. We had to reschedule it and Jeff was extremely helpful
Incredible tour and magic place
Really nice museum that shows the auto industry assembly start. The building is really old but they are maintaining as much as they can when they need to restore parts of the building.
They have a short but sweet tour. The guide seemed knowledgeable about the location, a former assembly plant, and the Ford models on display.
Tour guide Don was a bundle of knowledge. Really glad I did the tour.
Very neat place to visit if you have any interest in history, cars, Ford, or the Detroit area. A complete collection of Ford's early cars, with free tours from knowledgeable guides. I thank Jerry P for adapting the tour to my limited time constraint! I will definitely try to go back when I have more time. Admission is a well-worth-it $12 for adults.
Great automotive museum
I love visiting here. The old cars are beautiful. It’s nice to see the recreation of Henry Ford’s office and workstation. This is a historical gem!
Way better than I expected. Detroit best kept secret. Make sure you take the included guided tour.

Outstanding museum. Come visit and learn how the automobile changed the world. Staff on hand are very friendly and helpful.
We enjoyed this tour Dossin was knowledagble, dress warm only half the building has heat, and wear smart shoes floors are very uneven, because they are 100 years old
This experience was amazing. Let me say, when we first walked in, I was prepared to be underwhelmed. The displays around the entry were fine, but nothing to get super excited about. That changed pretty quickly once we met our tour guide, Tom. This man had an encyclopedic knowledge of Ford Motor Company, Henry Ford, and the Piquette Avenue building as well. In addition to his knowledge, Tom was funny and engaging throughout the 1.5 hour tour. My only complaint would be that the tour wasn't 2.5 or 3 hours long. Tom's enthusiasm for the people, cars, and plant was genuinely infectious and I could've spent the whole day looking at cars (and I'm not really a "car guy.") Would definitely recommend this experience to anyone.
Cool place for rustic photo shoots, which is whi I was there on a recent corporate assignment. Taking one back to a better time in Detroit's industrial past. This location would be an exceptional location for a company looking for mixed use industrial/office complex. The facilities need extensive work as they have sat mostly empty for a long time but the walls and structure of the building appears to be solid. As with any mid-century factory setting natural light inside the facility is incredible! This building is truly a diamond in the rough, but expect and budget for renovations.
Wedding was absolutely beautiful with the backdrop of the antique Ford cars.
Great history and cars. Worth the time and a few bucks
Neat place full of history and great examples of era cars. Highly recommend!
I went to a wonderful celebration this evening. Beautiful! So nice to share in someone else's good success and longtime vision come to fruition! The place itself is perfect for large gatherings. The space is airy and can hold 200 or more people easily. I highly recommend this spot for any occasion.

I Love the Ford history
The tour guide was amazing. He had extensive knowledge of the history and importance of the site. I highly recommend the tour. If you are an automobile or history buff this is a must see and even if you aren't you will find it enjoyable. If you go in winter be sure to dress warmly.
My visit here was awesome. The history of the building is amazing. Great displays of all kinds and some even hands on.
Great historical museum, a must in Detroit. The facilities alone are worth seeing, and the collection of Fords is nothing but great!
If you love Model T's, this is the place to visit. There is a lot of history within these walls and a lot of interesting things to be learned. The staff is very knowledgeable and entertaining. My son and I visited last summer and enjoyed our visit. Admission prices are reasonable. I would definitely visit again.
Didn’t get to spend much time here as they were closing for a wedding - but the staff was kind enough to let us sneak in a check out a few of the cars. Very cool space with lots of vintage cars on display. Will have to come back to see more
I took the kids and it was absolutely wonderful. And the host was very knowledgeable. When we first arrived Brian greeted us from the garage downstairs he was very nice and let the kids sit in the cars and he had a conversation about the first fridge that ever had shelfs. My kids were excited the 17 yr old especially. They were decorating the place for a wedding which was absolutely marvelous.I must say it was fit for a king and Queen.

It was really cool seeing vehicles from as far back as 1911 The staff was welcoming and helpful
This is the very first Henry Ford plant. It's a must see and has his original office still there, untouched. Many great model A and T cars, along with many unique pioneer cars.
Very cool. The birthplace of the model T. The volunteers have worked hard to restore the building and create educational displays. The tour guides are very knowledgeable. The displays keep improving and there is a complete collection of the Ford "alphabet cars", including some super rare ones.
It was neat, we did a guided tour. The cars were very interesting. This was definitely something you should do when in Detroit

Awesome piece of history.
Outstanding tour, the guide was "on top of his game." The displayed car each had a story of its own.
Went here for a ghost tour in October. It was educational and a lot of fun. I imagine that the plant would be a very unique location to have an event of some sort.
Stepping back to 1908 when the Model T was born in “the secret room” the minute you walk into the plant just like Henry left it worn, untouched even with a paint brush. Amazing presenters that walk you through the “Alphabet cars” right to the T. Well worth your time to step back in time.
I like history... And that's historic!
Perfect little piece of history in Detroit! Price point led us to check out Piquette vs. the Henry Ford museum and I'm grateful we did. From the detailed signage that went with the amazing antique displays of innovation to the curators giving tours/walking around and giving details, we had an amazing time and learned so much about the history of a city we live just miles from. $5 for students!
Awesome place of automotive history. A must for any car enthusiast.
Beautiful historical place ???? Don’t miss the chance to visit this museum if you visit Detroit.
If you want to see the history of the first Ford plant you need to Vista this place. The people are very friendly and explain you everything. For me a must if you like cars.

Tom was a great tour guide, incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the space and cars.
I have only seen this historic plant from the outside, so my rating is "thin". It has recieved some recent investment, so look forward to a future visit and an updated review.
Love the history - our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and kept it fun and friendly. Makes me proud to be apart of the Ford team.
Amazing place, love the history, great place for weddings.
Wonderful tour of the museum. Jason, our tour guide, was fantastic. He was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic which made the tour great. Highly recommend this museum.
Amazing building, amazing collection of historical vehicles, and one of the best guided tours I've been on.
Very interesting place and great tour guide who offered to give us a condensed tour since we arrived later in the afternoon near closing time. If you go, get the full tour! We wish we could have spent more time there as there is so much to see - husband and 18yo daughter and I all enjoyed it.
Great place, great and informative tour guide. His name was Richard "Dick" and was very knowledgable. Overall great experience and would recommend
Third floor is a bit cold but other then that it's a great place to go an learn the ford history.
Nice piece of automotive history. Guided and self guided tours.
As a wedding venue it was different than anything I had ever been to..
Great tour. So many examples of early Ford automobiles.
Call to see what time the tours are given at. Makes a big difference being in a guided tour, and really learn allot from the knowledgeable guides.
The tour guide was really knowledgable and the cars they have on display were just awesome. Pretty cheap for ad.ission. which I bought when I arrived there. 2 floors of tour with the 3rd having the majority of cars. It is really interesting if youre interested in old cars or just automobile technology in general.
We had a wonderful Tour thrugh Ford Motor Company's first production facility
Wonderful 3 hours on Fathers Day, highly recommended!
Pure Detroit magic. Always to good learn what made the city what it is today. The guides are incredibly knowledgeable.
Awesome place to visit, tons of history and information about our amazing automobile. The building's restoration is a wonder on its own! Our tour guide was fun and friendly and answered all of our questions! He was a retired Ford engineer and was a pleasure to listen to. Thank you so much for the great tour!
Love it! Amazing auto history in this building! Cold on entry level in January without climate control but upstairs is heated. More history of other makers who used the facility would be great.

A well preserved little museum that should be a must for every person interested in the history of Detroit or of the automobile in general. The guides are volunteers and do an amazing job at involving the visitors in the tour. Tours are 1hour and 30 minutes long and I suggest to look online the hours for the guided ones. There is also always a Groupon for this museum, and it's a great idea for the winter weekend. Could it get any better?
We were there for wedding and reception in very late November. The best venue I have ever attended for this type of event. History, character, space, ambiance...really has it all. Cold day, It was in the 20's outside and snowing...a bit …
Very cool place for a wedding reception. Was able to see many of the historical cars and learn about Henry Ford.
The Ford Piquette Avenue Plant offers a thorough education on the history of mass production cars and commerical vehicles. The various Model Ts are impressive but so are all of their predecessors and contemporary competitors from the era. The descriptions were excellent.
Awesome piece of American automobile history. Very knowledgeable tour guides!
I loved the entire morning spent there. People very. nice and knowledgeable about the history. And got to see all the Model T's on their way to Seattle.
Great tour guide, a lot of history
Stopped by even though it was closed that day it was cool to see one of the factories the Ford Model T came from
Jerry was great! We learned many interesting facts!
Tour was excellent! Very engaging for every age. Highly recommended.
Beautiful museum where you can see the history of Ford's automobile evolution, as well as a brief window into how the original Ford vehicles were created. If you are a car buff, I would highly suggest giving this a visit.
Hidden gem. A must even if you love cars and their history or not.
Attended an event here it was just beautiful. In the evening you could see the Fisher building lights just beautiful!!!
I had a great time. Place is full of history. Tour guides are very knowledgeable.
Visited this on Saturday. We showed up shortly after opening and timed it perfect with the beginning of the tour. Would have been challenging to get much out of the museum without a guide, so highly recommend you attend during tour hours. Tour guide was very informative and interesting.
It's great! Take the guided tour. Our guide was fantastic.

Excellent tour of a historic part of automobile and manufacturing history.
Even better the second time around. A must visit for anyone that hasn't been before. The world was forever changed by what went on in this building.
Cool view into Ford's start and the development of their first cars. Tour was really interesting and the restoration of the building keeps much of the original aesthetic

Very informative tours and an overall interesting experience

Very cool and interesting
The tour guide, Tom, led one of the best tours I have ever received. He had so much to say about each of the cars he showed the group and memorized so much of the information about the vehicles. It was clear that he was very passionate about his job and loved working there. The tour guide may have been great, but that doesn’t mean that the cars don’t deserve any recognition. The selection of cars at the plant were fantastic. There wasn’t just one of every car ever manufactured in the plant, but there were also cars made by Ford competitors like Oldsmobile at the same time! All in all, the tour was great and incredibly informative.
True early Detroit history. Excellent preserved early vehicles with knowledgeable staff giving tours. To truly appreciate the Detroit auto industry this is one of the places you must see.
Great guided tour, still a really cool place to check out.
Tom, the guide was great at telling us all about the plant and the cars that are there.

I love this place. Our real life superheroes that changed the world. Walked on these floors & continually reinvented the Automobile
Donated sixteen bikes to bikes for kids which is located next to the museum. They could use some help repairing and prepping over a thousand bikes yet. They already done over fifteen hundred.
GO! Go now! Plan a trip around it! If you are a Ford fan in any sense, and especially of the Model T or interested in Henry, just go! The people here are amazing, Tom and Jerry the guides, were extremely knowledgeable. They shared and answered so many questions. The building is in great shape because of the organizations efforts and I applaud them for everything that they have done and are doing. I will be visiting again in another couple years to see what kind of progress they have made on the building.
What a beautiful place to host an event!
The guided tour was pretty good. Lots of history with facts.
No wait
Awesome look back at early automotive history. Excellent selection of old cars, not just Ford's, and knowledgeable folks to provide insight into the history of Ford and early car production. I highly recommend taking a couple of hours to visit this museum!
Cool museum build inside a historic Ford Model T factory. Great for wedding and private parties.
Amazing! Steeped in history about the Ford Model cars. The tour guide,Tom, knows his stuff and was very enthusiastic and rubbed off on us.
Very cool piece of Detroit history. Going back to do full tour.
A great place to see some of the oldest cars to come out of the "Motor City." You'll also see other cars manufactured in the area like Cadillac, Studebaker and Hupmobile, etc. Great tour guides and you can get your picture in a Model-T.
What a beautiful piece of history this is. Visited this place twice, once for a wedding and the other for a tour, both were amazing. It's like going back in time and being a part of the golden age of the Motor City.
