If you like NORAD history in Canada do not miss this place.

Visited here over October long weekend in 2019. It's definitely a small museum and definitely tucked away in a CFB in a small city. But there are some unique hands on experiences like old radar equipment and a telephone switchboard. Yes, try explaining to your kids how pulse dialing used to work now that we're in the digital age! A plus for me was learning that, for a brief period of time, Canada was also a nuclear power (Go ahead and Google "BOMARC"). Spent about 1.5 hours here and I like to think of this museum as a sampling of the Canadian War Museum and the Canadian Air and Space Museum in Ottawa. Bonus: Admission is free.

Mostly things from the First and Second World War. Its a Canadian Airforce Base, Total canadian radar used tobe controlled from here during the war. The main base is 600 feet under the earth. Kids enjoyed a lot riding on the fighter plane, wearing parachute and airforce uniform. Best of all no entrance fees

Nice and small museum but informative. Bethany is an awesome host and guide. Great story teller. She's very passionate about this piece of Canadian history. If your in the North Bay area, make your way over!

Very good small museum! When you go there, know that they don’t give tours of the underground area anymore.

Great place to go of your looking to do something in North Bay. The staff was super friendly and there were a lot of interest exhibits. Best part was sitting inside a real plane! They would have used more lights though.

(Translated) The lady at the reception was really friendly and it's even forced to speak French ... she came with us to explain things in the museum and she even took a picture in the plane at the end. Really an activity that does not cost much and which is super interesting I strongly suggest (Original) La dame de l'acceuil était vraiment sympathique et c'est même forcé a parler français... elle est venue avec nous poir nous expliquer des choses dans le musé et elle nous a même prit en photo dans l'avion a la fin. Vraiment une activité qui ne coute pas cher et qui est super intéressante je suggère fortement
