Great staff. Awesome rooms. Very clean. Soundproof.

I enjoyed the hook-handed proprietor(?) and Great Aunt Lavinia's floral bedsheets. No, honest, I did! Was comfortable and felt pleasantly human. I'm sure that stuff rubs some people the wrong way, but you do wonder how those sorts escaped their manicured golf resort and ended up in Watson Lake...

Not bad

Overpriced. Not a good value. Highly recommend you stay somewhere else. No air conditioning, which made for a miserable stay. Ceiling fan did not work either, so we just cracked the window and tried to let in some cooler outside air. The Wi-Fi was incredibly frustrating, because it was spotty and slow. The fridge wasn't plugged in and there were no signs to indicate it needed to be plugged in, so our food items were room temperature the next morning. No microwave in the room. The lamp by the bed and half the outlets did not work. The room was clean and beds were comfy, so I did not give a 1-star rating.

Effing BEDBUGS. Room 205. I even slept in my clothes on top of the bedspread, just because the room smelled musty.. I travel a lot so I always check the mattress and bedding anyway. I saw nothing, but woke up itching like mad at 2am. My boyfriend and I took video of a tiny red bug crawling across the sheet and showed the front desk and showed them the bites on my neck and hands and ankles. I have the vid and pictures saved if anybody needs to see them, google doesn’t seem to have an option to add photos or vid. They called the owner who refunded our money (the next morning) no questions asked. We checked out and stayed at the hotel next door, which was great, btw. But having to check out at 2am while driving from Alaska to Minnesota was a hassle. and inconvenient to say the least. Bagged up our clothing, showered and laundered everything at the Laundromat next door. Will certainly not stay here again.

The rooms were huge! Very clean and the staff was friendly

The women at the front desk was rude and had an attitude when I told her the room stinks and it is dirty. I would not stay at this motel ever again. I most certainly do not recommend this hotel even for dogs.

Lisa Van Baarsen

We stayed here because it was the only pet friendly motel in Watson Lake. The room cost 170 CAD, was dirty and the bed cover smelled like stale cigarettes. The place was furnished with stuff the Salvation Army must of rejected. Also the room did not have blackout curtains which is a must in the summer time. On the up side it had a hot shower and wi-fi and was close to several restaurants. I would recommend checking out other places to stay at.

Definately pet friendly! Maybe to a fault. Husband and son both got bit by something, possibly during our night here. Heavy bedspreads that you just know arent getting washed frequently enough! Room had radiant heat so there was no way to reduce the temperature besides opening the window. We turned on the ceiling fan, and were assaulted by the pet hair flying off of it! The laminate floors are a good idea for a pet friendly hotel though. It is a good stop for a one night road trip, if cleanliness is not a priority. Don't let the nice newer log exterior fool you! Interior is dated. Wifi did not work for us. On a positive side, the Chinese restaurant next door was quite good. If travelling with pets, the choices in this town are limited, so either make a different stop, or suck it up like we did.
