Lovely place!! ???? Had gone on halloween and they had decorated it so well. It was like stepping into a time machine. Very opulent. Cant imagine such luxury but it was nice to see it in person. Word of advice, wear comfy shoes you have a lot of the castle to cover!! Was able to check the haunted walk within the castle which exits across the street. Well done with the production!!! Definitely will revisit when it’s warm. Hear they have a winter festival thing too, might revisit. ❤️

Castle is okay, but for European person it wasn't life-changing experience. For Canadian - I strongly recommend everything! For me specifically tunnels were THE experience. I've been to other spooky things, but this time was different. They are long, well done and also I was lucky to walk completely alone which spiced up my experience a lot. It's just... Nice job on those tunnels, thank you :)

In the heart of the city, overall I like the castle. To me, the tower of the castle is one of most beautiful part of it. You can climb top of the tower at the right site of the castle and get a nice view of the city. I have added a picture of it. The ticket price costs $30 which is a bit expensive though. But as you don't have any other castle like this in Toronto. So it's a must go site, I would say. I found lot's of young and recently married couple visited the place and took photos. As a bonus you will find Sir Henry Pellatt's the Gothic styled hunting lodge beside this castle. I walk around the lodge and took pictures. Added one of it. Inside of the castle you will find couple of restaurants serving foods in the great halls at ground floor. There is a large glass hall at the rear side of the ground floor. I found it very bright and green. I would suggest to visit weekdays if possible. I found the place very crowded in weekend. As there is no such place in Toronto so it seems all of Toronto people visiting it.

History at its best! Beautiful and elegant castle. Well-maintained and well-taken cared of. You will need a whole day to explore this place. And it’s worth it! ????

A nice Castle located in city center. When from the window look at the beautiful sunny garden, was enjoyable. Lucky I listened music concert at here. That time students wore traditional clothes played music in the hall. When tender music started, sounds like we back to ancient century. This is a heritage place in Toronto, good to see.

Jeremy Sung

Recomend a visit to the spot. A very expansive house with a lot of history attached. The audioguides were included in the entry ticket price and I would suggest using one to explore the house. You can go up to the top of the towers as well and you see a beautiful scene of the skyline

Casa loma is so beautiful. I have been inside the castle on the tours a couple of times. The inside of the castle is beautiful and bery unique. I came to the Halloween haunts they host twice. I came once during the evening (while it was dark) and this year during the day while the sun was still out. I would defiantly recommend going in the evening while it's dark. You can tell they put a lot of effort with setting up the Halloween haunt.

HADARIO

Absolutely loved visiting this castle! My friend and I stayed from 12-5pm just exploring the area and listening to the self-guided tour. We ate lunch at the cafe downstairs. Curious to know why Reginald (Sir Henry's son) didn't have a room of his own. And how the family got from the main floor to the second floor since the stairs were constructed at the time they wanted to convert it to a hotel. We went during Halloween season so when working through the tunnel, there were many Halloween decorations and some jump scares. Wish we had the option to opt out of it as it was a little frightening ( for me haha ) and I would have loved to see the tunnel without all the decorations.

Melrin D'silva Sequeira

Fantastic Halloween event here, go after dark to get the best experience, or you can do what we did for the cheaper tickets go early stay in the bar then see the rest after dark.

Came here on the week before Halloween. Lots of things happening. No discrimination, there were children in costume, girls night out in dresses, couples of all ages just coming to see the place. Parking was bumping but generally traffic was controlled. I believe it is 15 flat or you can get full service for more. I actually wanted a change of scenery so I ran here from midtown. The haunted house seemed to attract a lot. Excellent to be open during this first Halloween since pandemic.

Quirky

Has something interesting for almost everyone. The whole house was decorated beautifully for Christmas, and had a few holiday related live displays ad well. The cafe had good food but make sure you plan some extra time if you want to eat here as it can take a long time for the food to come out.

Emily Rebecca

Casa Loma is a gorgeous, amazing stop and a must see during the holidays. They always do such an amazing job getting guests into the spirit of Christmas. The history learned during your visit is also worth your time. Enjoy Casa Loma I know I did.

I usually love Pizza Shab, but this location was very slow. I called for an order and they said it will take 40 min, I went there and it took longer, I also asked for fries and cheese, the fries weren't fresh and no cheese in it. A bit disappointed.

Laurin Jeffrey

Wonderful experience during Fall ahead of Halloween where a tour of the epic older castle where after the usual tour of the vastness of which its become known for also offers up Halloween themed event gateway. The castle is epic as it offers us a glimpse into the life of its former opulent owners at the same time à bit of war time history with related artifacts. 3 plus floors of greatness in a modern day throwback. Gaining access to the towers offered a view of the landscape as well an idea of what it owners had to view of the city of Toronto below. Oh yeah, if u are fortunate enough to get thru the haunted spaces then much more is there to enchant you. Citypass is the best paid way to do these tours.

I went with my mother and mother in law as a Christmas outing just before public health restrictions came into place (Dec. 30th). It was an absolute zoo with zero health precautions being followed. I can't believe we didn't come away with omicron. The ticket I bought said 4pm. It took 15 minutes to get in and they shut the outdoor patio at 4:50. The crowds and poor flow and planning resulted in it taking a long time to get through even a portion of the place. I could see how with less crowds, no covid and better timing it might be an interesting place to go perhaps for a meal but the experience with how crowded it was was not pleasant-- covid aside. Not impressed.

Muhammad umair

Amazing place to pay a visit on Christmas Day! Everything is decorated with Christmas' ornaments. You can visit both Casa Loma's towers, the cafeteria if you want a great panini with a coffee. I liked the Queen's Owns Rifles museum the best; full of pictures and artifacts.

Olga O

Is not enough words to describe this place. You will enjoy the history, the architecture, the view. Amazing guided tour and you’ll be able to discover all the movies and tv shows that had scenes recorded here too. Completely recommend!

Such a visual treat during the winter's. Interesting to take your kids and share the rich history of the early Canadian/English aristocrats and their lifestyles. Beautifully preserved and well taken care of. The walk in the underground tunnel was nice. Definitely a good tourist attraction for visitors to Toronto!

Big Momma

Cool, but not worth the price. Buying in-person is cheaper than buying online. Staff inside are loud (disrupting experience, even while watching theatre) not to mention not adhering to social distancing or masking mandates, and also cussing within earshot of patrons. You're probably better off paying for an expensive meal at the restaurant and touring the castle for free.

Vinny R

A nice place to visit if you are near downtown Toronto. I visited the place today as it showed up on the list of “nearby attractions” on Google maps for me. The entry fee for adults is 30$ inclusive of taxes, which might be on the pricey side. Coming to the tour, well, it’s a self guided one though I would have preferred a guided tour. As it’s currently Halloween season, the lower floor of the castle has been decked up with lots of Halloween themed attractions. They also offer scheduled short movie screenings but I didn’t get to see one today since they had some issues with the projector. And there’s also a gift store from where you can take back home memorabilia from collectibles to toys and dresses. It’s certainly a place you could visit if you have time to spare. And lastly, before I forget, there are automatic hand sanitisers placed at convenient places all throughout the palace and it’s good to note that safety has been given so much of importance in these trying times.

Slainie Cormier

Amazing experience at Casa Loma. Weather was perfect for a photo from the tower looking over Toronto. Enjoyed my visit with the Halloween themed tunnel and stables.

See Joy Explores

Beautiful tourist attractions. Nearby views are beautiful too can see in my photos.

Gerson Pacheco

The grounds were gorgeous. The building, inside and out, equally as gorgeous. The narrated tour is set up so you can take in as little or as much information as you'd like - at your own pace and direction. It was nice to be able to go our own direction at our own pace. The underground tunnel was fascinating, as were the stables and old cars. Really, the whole place was very informative and fascinating.

The Casa Loma is a world-class attraction north of Toronto. The castle is located in a amazing park with an absolutely gorgeous view to the skyline of Toronto. Don't miss to visit Casa Loma and take your time to explore every single spot on the ground. There are fountains with refreshing spray water to cool your head. I really love this place and I will return one day for sure.

I always enjoy my visits to this beautiful and historic Toronto landmark. The most recent being for the Christmas at the Castle event. There were Christmas trees decorated by various artists, light displays, a magic show, stiltwalkers and even pictures with Santa to name a few of the attractions. It made for an overall great family day out for the holiday season.

Omar Seraj Kazi

Casa Loma is one of the few things that make Toronto unique to me. This old mansion really takes you back to the 1800s. It's fascinating to see how the wealthy lived back in the day. The grounds are beautiful to walk and we tunnel is amazing. The gardens, classic cars and changing exhibits make it a tourist destination or a local one.

X z

Park offsite up the street for free, same distance to entrance as their $15 parking lot. A good place to spend 30-60min (more if you're reading everything and doing audio tour), minus a star because it is not wheelchair/stroller friendly. No elevator in building and tons of stairs, they have you park strollers on first floor so be sure to bring a baby carrier and wear your kid if they can't walk. And if you are in a wheelchair...it will be a 10min tour for you, first floor only.

Aditi Jain

Legends of Horror was awesome, costumes, props, set, lighting, acting, everything was extremely well done and very visually appealing and interactive. My only dissatisfaction was that the halfway point rest area was too "clubby' and only had alcoholic drinks available. I'd like to see more variety of other options and food. We had a great time thanks for the visit!

Lucas Coady

Amazing historical place especially during Christmas season! We had wonderful time there, we went with our 2 year old son and he enjoyed it. We took pictures with Mrs. Clause & Santa Clause and there was a place of wax figures for famous people it was awesome and we ended the visit by taking photos with the PM Justin Trudeau wax figure :)

Irene Dimech

Mysterious. Wondrous. Historical. Simply a great place to take your mind back to what was. Like being on a period piece movie set. The full tour is amazing and the work they did to preserve and share information on this heritage site is wonderful.

Marcelo Iglesias

Went to the Imagine Dragons Light Experience...its entertaining especially for kids. Gnomes, fairies, goblins, and dragons abound. The castle is enjoyable to finally get to see and the tidbits about its history are informative.

A very cool place to explore! Only downside was there was a High Tea event going on so many of the rooms were occupied and unavailable.

It's well worth the price with lots of amenities. Historical building maintained well. A large portion of the main floor is now used as restaurants which is definitely a fancy experience. The kids will like the escape room and Christmas activities. Love the underground tunnel.

Nahid Mahbub

Worth it to visit for sure! You can know about some Canadian history! The architecture is very marvellous, we went on Christmas holidays and they have amazing long tunnel which leads to santa! In short, it’s a must visit place.

Atelier Ritz

Haven’t been here since 2008. The imagine dragons thing was pretty fun and the dining at the gardens was excellent.

Takes you back in history. Must visit castle during your trip to Toronto. Some of the best city views from the castle. Also have great spots for photography. Sadly didn't had enough time but will visit next time for sure. They were preparing for halloween, it's going to be interesting. Suggestion: get a city tour pass online and visit zoo, museum, castle for better price.

Ianna Miller

Decorations and entertainment at the Light festival was amazing. Great time for all ages and the kids get to see santa at the end of the self guided tour!

Keith Ng

Came here for Legends of Horror and was not disappointed. The level of attention that goes into this event is incredible.

A truly lovely experience, very attentive staff, great hosting us at the Blueblood Steakhouse. 10/10 would recommend. ????

Have visited Casa Loma three times, one of them was my wedding! As always the Castle is gorgeous, well tended to and a great visit. The staff in charge of weddings are great and make sure your day is perfect. Your day will be their biggest priority and they will look after you!

Must see for anyone visiting Toronto. This castle has the most beautifully designed rooms and architecture. There's an audio tour device available in the basement gift shop, and it guides you on a self-paced tour of each room. The audio added depth and dimension to each room by sharing the stories of the original occupants. The price of entry is $30 CAD, or $23.50 USD. I would recommend a good part of the afternoon to spend here, especially if you like to take your time to tour each part of the castle.

Cristian Romero

I was very impressed with my first visit to such a Perl of Toronto's history! Visitors Program is very good organized with guidelines on the special device. So you can enjoy tour on your own speed. I was deeply surprised by priceless collections, their conditions, notes on stands were you can feel what it was collected and saved for us to understand the spirit of that time. One more word for people who work there: Staff is incredibly helpful and pleasant. Exit through underground path will bring you to the stables. That way was decorated as a dragon-game adventure with the music and sound surrounding. Absolutely incredible! Regret that we did not reserve our dinner there after 5pm.

Very beautiful. Fun day with my teens daughters. If you go throught Toronto, it's a must see. Very cool tunnel, scary exposition! Fun for halloween.

Incredible. What an experience! Go early because it takes time to see it all and that close at 5 pm. Don't make my mistake wasting time on the cafeteria!! ????

Dalida Zoghaib

A lot of famous movies were filmed in it. Walking distance to subway. Tower view from top of castle and long secret tunnel which leads to another building is amazing. However, I would recommend the management to place air conditioning or fans in staircase halls of tower because if someone has to wait for their turn on staircase it's difficult because all the windows are shut and there is no ventilation. Overall it's excellent for historical knowledge and artifacts are displayed in good manner, too.

Maria Campolo

Beautiful building! Lots of cool events and tours to take here as well.

Wai01

Casa Loma was a beautiful place with so much historic value. The architecture is very classy and baroque style which makes it exquisite. They also have activities for kids like the dragons tunnel and stable. I would suggest to bring a bottle of water during a hot day just because it can get quite humid in some parts of the castle. I'm terms of accessibility they do have an elevator but to get to some rooms would require stairs. Overall an awesome experience.

nitin manocha

Great experience! Must visit with family and friends, specially the “Liberty Cafe”.

Ed Chunski

Hadn't been here since I was a child maybe 28yrs ago. Took my partner as she had never heard of it before and she loves old sh¡t. Brought back a lot of memories, nostalgia and made new memories. Everything was great minus what they did to the tunnels and stables. That was a let down, reminded us of tacky dollar store decorations put up for Halloween. But I took pictures of the dry curing meat, cause it was probably delicious

Rosa Leal

Amazing experience! So much history, overall beautiful venue, Blue bird resturant staff wear not soo friendly, we didn't had a reservation and just stepped in side the reception area and just the looks we were given were soo impolite. Otherwise the staff at the Cafe in case Loma were super friendly and took great care of us.

This was private castle made by an honorable gentleman who tried his luck in various large industries like hydropower, aviation and oil. He eventually failed and this castle is available to you with $40 entry ticket or included in Toronto city pass. There is a small Cafe and washroom is available.

Cynthia Daniela Mtz.

Decently ancient early 1900s castle of 17K sq.meters. Nice views from top. Don't bother going up the Scottish tower but do visit the other tower which will lead you to outdoors. Nicely presented I should say, except for those audio devices. They should have put repetitive audio in each room instead. The parking was a cash grab. Definitely makes it a deal breaker. Ticket holders should be freely allowed inside. Still worth a visit, however, the spooky section was comedy at best. Tunnel leads you somewhere else !! Wow.

Oksana Sivers

A castle with a great a history behind it. Constructed by the richest man in Canada at a point in time to live in, a gorgeous home and palace. Do take the headset from the basement for the self guided tour which is included with the ticket price and listen to the extra info they have to give on the hidden details on the property. Have a great time here.

Ali Al Sowaidi

Read all information on the stands to get the insides of this castle. It’s one of a kind for 19th century! Very unique! Beautiful castle! Definitely Worth seeing!!! Check the underground tunnel!

Joan S

Such a beautiful mansion! The audio guides were informative and the interiors of the rooms were traditionally decorated. The outdoor grounds were also gorgeous. Be sure to make your way to the two towers (accessed on the top floor) for beautiful views of Toronto and a castle-like experience. I’d recommend this to anyone!

Mary Spade

went to the haunted horror nights at Casa Loma and it did not disappoint! The actors were awesome. If you generally are scared of these sorts of things this is a great balance. Not too scary...but just enough to make it fun!!

Bruce A. Brecht

Beautiful place, and it was incredibly decorated for the holiday season.

Ss

Very interesting site to see. The terrace view is wonderful, and if you timed it right with a sunset, if allowed, would be absolutely stunning to get. The Christmas setup was done very well, and even with covid, it was still comfortable to experience. When you go through the tunnel and end up in the stables. Just mind blowing just how far you walked, to see the castle so far away. The parking for $15 is honestly way too much, that should be lowered to $7-10, and should be free for handicap parking. This is great for a school field trip experience.

Nishit Vora

Minus 2 stars because it’s been closed for nearly 18 months due to covid even though everyone in this town is vaccinated. Plus 3 because it looks cool and is the only interesting building in a very boring part of the city

Mme. Lamprea

Went there for the Imagine dragons light show, it was very entertaining and fun. Only thing I don’t like is that you have to wear the mask the whole time even when you are outdoor.

Visited Casa Loma and enjoyed touring the inside of the castle ..it was beautifully decorated for christmas and then stayed for the holiday lights in the evening...luckily it had just snowed so the lights appeared even more magical ...the christmas cheer and beauty was indescribable ..the decorations, the lights, the staff, the performances ...it was all excellent and i wish the night didn't have to end =)

What a spectacular place full if history and outstanding architecture.

Beautiful place. Nice people, playing different Christmas personalities. Very good music, friendly staff. Some good dancing, great Fireman show. Good food, and especially spicy drinks. Recommend to go there. Maybe I will go second time. This post is not about Casa Loma itself, but only about the Christmas celebration in this place.

If you like history and museums this place is beautiful

Megane Neko

This is specifically for the haunted walk they do. It took us around and hour both times. (We went twice in 1 week because we loved it so much). The first experience was comfortably scary for everyone and they have a bar half way through where you can get drinks and there's a dj and a photo booth. It feels almost like a club to some degree. The second time our favorite portion was flooded so that was unfortunate but it was still enjoyable!

Syl Lepine

We did the Legends of Horror event as a family, during the family time without actors. My kids (10, 9, 7) LOVED it and wanted to go through again! They were the perfect amount of 'scared' that it was fun. Props were amazing and the line to get in moved fast. I loved it so much I bought tickets to go again with some adults, during the "scary" time :D

David Wong

Absolutely beautiful was there during the winter an was decorated for Christmas, will be back again for Halloween

If you have only one place to visit in Toronto, then the only choice I think is Casa Loma. It was built by a richest man in Toronto, and you probably will be amazing when you are seeing what you see. By the way, there was many movies were shot in this spot, such as X-man. And this place maintains very well.

Sam Rahimi

If you love history this is the place to be. The place has interesting factoids and and facts on the family as well as showing how influential they were on Canadian culture. There is also a nice dragon very fantasy section that would appeal to children.

I visited Casa Loma for the Legends of Horror event in the fall. The grounds are incredible and can imagine how beautiful and unique their various seasonal events would be too. A popular Toronto landmark that can be enjoyed by locals and tourists alike! ????

Beautiful mansion located in the city. Loved the architecture. The decorations are amazing. There is a tunnel connecting mansion with stables. You can see vintage car collection, wine cellar, suites with beautiful furnitures and chandeliers, alleys with paintings. The third floor is like a museum and connects to the towers. The view of Toronto from Norman tower is amazing. There is a beautiful fountain on backyard with secret garden. You can find cafe, gift shop and tunnel in basement and every hour a movie is played showcasing the history of Casa Loma. Good for photoshoots and to plan wedding. Masks are mandatory now. Finally got a chance to go to Legends of Horror this October. Wow, was it ever crowded... but we had a blast. Great for kids (12 & 14) as had a bit of spooky, some jump scares, but nothing too intense. Not gory, just a fun (and rather long) walk through haunted woods and indoors. Totally recommended.

Very nice place. A must visit in Toronto. Great castle near city center. Maintained very well. Old historic building and interior. There's a magnificent fountain at the backyard of the castle. Lighting and other historical things are great to watch and feel. Lots to learn and to take pictures. We visited in 2015. A unique experience indeed. Thanks.

Legends of Horror was so fun! A little crowded because there was no separation between parties, but that was kind of expected.

I basically grew up here, from school field trips to first dates and now my wedding! Casa Loma has been the filming location of some of our favorite movies and shows so getting married here was hardly a question! COVID was hard on everyone and everything went off with hardly any bumps but i do still wish the wedding staffs communication was better, we went through 3 different specialists during our planning and had to find out ourselves a week before our big day the whole front of the castle was under construction! Overall the beauty of this venue is unquestionable and im sure well be back someday.

What a great venue for a special night! The setting is stunning and we were made to feel welcome from the greeting at the door until the fewell from our server after the meal. The menu has something for everyone and everything is prepared and presented with pride. Flavors are developed by the chefs and not applied as an afterthought. Now I have an alternative to Canoe for when I have international guests that want to dine and take in a little of Canada at the same time.

This is the 2nd time i have been to Casa Loma for Halloween night, and both the times it was great.. Even this year i thought it would be bad due to Covid, but surprisingly it was good. It was way better than Wonderland Halloween night..!!

Great beautiful secret gem inside a very busy city ! Worth the visit . Very beautiful rooms and well maintained and the "story" is a wonderful plus. I gave this place 4 stars on 5 for 2 reasons. It was super hot(that's not their fault but a little AC would do wonders specially with the fact that we must wear masks ) as well there was a wedding so we couldn't go out to the garden - would of been nice if this was stated somewhere before going or even paying for parking !!!

William James

Unbelievably beautiful for such an old building. Such a huge museum inside out with nothing but just remarkable history and wonderful interiors. Such welcoming and well equipped to learn about every part of it.

Marcial Cuesta

Great place. Though there isn't much of an interesting history behind this castle, its certainly worth visiting! The underground tunnel was something we did not expect. The place is well maintained and was beautifully decorated during the Christmas week

If you’re looking to experience a little bit of history with beautiful gardens and maybe even an escape room this place is somewhere you’d like to go. Reasonably priced at $30 for an adult and you can stay as long as you’d like. Go to the top of tower and see the view of the city. Or walk through the rooms of this old castle and learn all about who lived there and what they did. I won’t spoil the rest for you but definitely a good time. Recommend getting the speaker that tells you about everything you’re looking at a great feature.

We just had High Tea here today. It was a horrible experience. Our server missed our cups and poured tea on the linen. They would bring out the following food before clearing the dirty plates and cutlery. Tea was served warm; we kept asking for it to be hot. Food was tasteless. Not a single good thing at Casa Loma High Tea. Our server even forgot to serve us the Queen Jubilee cake. From sweet to savoury, the cake and Tea were unpleasant and enjoyable. I would give this Zero stars If I could.

Helvi Slytherin

A house? A castle? Toronto's top attraction? All of the above. I was stunned at its beauty. I learned that a lot of movies, including some of my favorite ones, filmed scenes either in the house. The conservatory has done a great job at keeping it beautiful. You will get a chance to visit all three floors, the attic, the towers, the basement and a cool tunnel leading you to the owners first residence about 800 feet away. Oh, and I almost forgot the secret doors leading you up and down the house. The house basement you'll find a theatre, a cafe, but there is also a high scale restaurant located within the facilities. They were preparing the grounds for what it seemed to be a wedding and in other areas they were decorating for Halloween. This immediately became one of my favorite attractions I have ever seen.

Such a marvelous place to visit. We took our 5yo son with us to see the dragon show and oh goosh! He loved it, the experience was exhilarating. Our son was offered to put a hand on the small dragons, take a picture holding swords and we felt the entire team or staff were so helpful and professional. Thank you so much for welcoming us and organizing the show. I highly recommend anyone with a child or alone to pay a visit to the place.

We had the tasting menu at the Don Alfonso popup. Impeccable. One of the best dinners we ever had with a service to match. This was our anniversary dinner and we even left with a little souvenir courtesy of the manager. Looking forward to the next time we visit.

We came to Legends of Horror last night for 10:30. What a great experience. I didn’t know what to expect but I was not disappointed. While not terrifying, it was definitely creepy & a ton of fun. They are underselling the lounge! DJ, bar, photo booth - its the closet thing to a club I’ve been to in 2 years and it was fantastic. While they could probably benefit from a few more live actors the ones who were there were great. I’ve never been to Casa Loma before and I’d love to experience more now. Fantastic event and the most normal and fun night out I’ve had in a long time. Thank you!

Had a wonderful time with one of my friends. I personally didn't find it super scary. But heard few others screaming their heart out which I found more funny. Guess it's around 2km walkthrough experience where few setups were outside with uneven surfaces (please watch your steps while walking) where as rest of the experience is through the tunnel and indoor setup. There were people in costumes who did a wonderful job in scaring people ???????? by hiding behind trees, inside the boxes etc. (some of them literally got me). Found the lighting and the entire setup was amazing. Must experience atleast once. Overall ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

If you have a castle, please invite me to visit it! In this case, my sweetie and I decided to line pockets of owner of this castle, that being the City of Toronto municipal government, with our ticket entry as well as parking fees. If you can secure ticket discounts from your company or other forums, do so to offset the cost to enjoy this magnificent early 1900's Gothic style mansion in midtown Toronto. We thoroughly enjoyed the multi-floor castle from the towers down to the lower floor and then over to the stables linked by underground tunnels. Do not miss fascinating viewing the video of the life of Sir Henry Pellatt (..original owner of Casa Loma) in the former Swimming Pool!

Went for the summer outdoor dining at The Gardens. Food was great and so was the atmosphere! Would definitely do it again!

As a house and museum it’s interesting. For the admission price they should have guides and groups or at least structure a tour a little better. Admission also didn’t include walking the gardens which was kind of greedy.

Markus Weisshaar

It wasn't scary at all. The decoration was pretty good. But the price of the ticket plus the event parking wasn't that friendly.

We enjoyed the Halloween haunted house... Legends of Horror. Quite well done and fun. Worth it for all ages. Try and go at night for the extra fright...

Amrit Gill

$15 parking. $50 for Christmas show. We went there almost 10 pm. Too late for the show but would love to come back...

Casa Loma's Legends of Horror Halloween event has become an annual tradition for me now. It is by far one of the most amazing Halloween events in Toronto. From the jump scares, horror theme rooms, scare actors and amazing animatronics, to the underground tunnels and creepy holograms, Legends of Horror is definitely worth the ticket price!

BATOUL HAMMOUD

Enjoyed the self guided tour, 30 min movie about the guy who built it (very impressive & inspiring), the haunted tour (didn’t realize how many movies were filmed there) and friendly staff

Very cool place, I would love to go again as there is so much to see, it's a lot for a single pass. They have their lower levels decked out for Halloween this time of year, and they really went all out. Five stars from me.

Beautiful castle ... wished we could have spend more time here as there is much to see. The self guided recordings are great as they provide so much more insight as to what you are seeing. Amazed at how lavish it is, we were impressed as to how modern the bathrooms were (considering the period it was built). Bonus: the tunnel leading to the stables (which was across the street) was all decked out in Christmas decorations and Mr & Mrs Santa Claus was there to greet us. So glad we got the chance to visit.

David Couture

I can't believe it there's a Mr. Santa Claus ???? and Mrs. Santa Claus ???? in the castle. They looks so gorgeous and wonderful. What a beautiful and lovely Christmas holiday week. Yayyy!!

A visual treat with the whole palace decorated band lit up for Christmas. A variety of talented artists have decorated the rooms. The whole walk around the Casa Loma palace will take a good three hours if you want to see everything in detail and climb up to the towers. The pathway to stables was illuminated well and the video displays on the walls were delightful especially of the Gingerbread men. There was a magic show on the gardens. A truly enjoyable experience.

Holiday Lights at Casa Loma isn’t worth the extremely high price. For over $50 bucks a ticket, one would expect much more of a show than what is offered at Casa Loma. The light show in the forest is a complete borefest - it’s unimaginative, lacks creativity and takes little advantage of today’s available technology. Once you’re out of the forest you get to experience some super kitsch displays, again, all very underwhelming. Seriously, congratulations for managing to charge so much for so little.

It is a cool place to visit, but be wary of when and how you book. It can be quite expensive beyond its value if you try to book an event the day of (i.e. they will 'run out' of regular admission ticket forcing you to level up, but the the cost differential will well exceed any added value, will not give you wider access than regular price, and will have no bearing on the number of people you float through the exact same exhibit with, e.g. we got a small generic hot drink and four grocery store bought maple cookies for the extra $50 we paid to get the leveled up tickets for the lights display when they 'ran out' of regular admission tickets).

This place is an absolute gem ???? Totally takes you back in time and perfect for people of ages. The architecture is beautiful, the history is plenty and the secret passageways are fun ???? Only disclaimer is for people with mobility concerns as there are a lot of stairs to climb (if you want to explore the entire castle).

Robert Piane

We went to Legends of Horror event and we had a blast. I thought it was gonna be a scary experience but I was wrong. Don’t get me wrong there was a few jump scares here and there, but it wasn’t scary at all.

Minuet Ettinger-Wheeler

First time visiting and am quite impressed. Lots of nice exhibits. especially the Queen's Own Rifles exhibit. Lots of Canadian military history. The grounds and physical building are all very well kept. It's quite the gem that I have somehow missed all these years I've lived in Toronto. I highly recommend this attraction.

well worth the price of admission ???????? extremely fun walking outside and inside the property. The gardens are beautiful with a great view of downtown Toronto and the CN tower. The inside is full of artwork, armor, weapons, stories, and of course rooms furnished with fascinating antiques and relics. You feel transported while there. I recommend climbing up to the top of the Norman tower as you get to reach an outdoors balcony of the tower (apposed to the Scottish tower which gives u a nice view but is still closed off and limited by the windows). Be careful and take your time up the spiral stairs and watch your head. It was quite hot inside as there is no A/C but they have some fans located at various parts. The gift shop offers a nice selection of Casa Loma stuff as well as Toronto and Canada gifts in general. There’s a fun underground tunnel which takes you away from the main castle to another separate one as well ????????

Mrigakshi Goel

As someone who lived in Istanbul for many years, I am used to grand museums with spectacular displays. But Casa Loma is on an entirely different level. The audio guide was the best I’ve ever experienced. The underground tunnel in particular was used to superb effect to display events from early 20th century Toronto. The best museums not only entertain, but enrich the experience with new knowledge. I came away knowing so mucb more about Toronto in the days when the castle was being built. And the exhibition dedicated to the Queen’s Own Rifles is worth the price of entry alone.

Beautiful Christmas decorations. Worth the money.

Good place to visit if you are interested in history. Great for Instagram enthusiasts and obviously if you are a X-Men fan you would want to visit inside of x mansion..

Erika Ng

Casa Loma is beautiful in the summer, especially if you can attend on a day when they have a garden concert at dusk. The inside tour is good too, but the real magic is hearing great music in the gardens!

Guesse Kraig

We went to the haunted horror nights at Casa Loma and it did not disappoint! The actors were awesome. If you generally are scared of these sorts of things this is a great balance. Not too scary...but just enough to make it fun!!

Imagine Dragons Event: This is fun little event mostly directed at children I would say. Lots of fun little photo spots to take a few pictures and people in costume with a lot of cheesy props as you walk through the garden path in the underground passage and stable. Truthfully a bit overpriced for what you get to see and do. But it does kill at least an hour and the grounds are nice to walk on. Was hard to find the entrance.. was at the very bottom of the hill outside the walls.

Angela H (Plexi)

Took the kids for the Halloween event, it’s not suitable for younger kids as in 10 and under. But we still have quite a fun time in there!

Nadiia Vladykina

This place was amazing! Climbing to the top of the tower was exhausting but so rewarding!

Simon Butler

Best Toronto's land mark. Beautiful castle in a great area. Really worth to see

Charles Zheng

Worth the visit.. looks good with lights and chrismas trees. We missed the stables, it was closed after new year. Kids had fun seeing a real castle. We parked on the streets opposite to the castle, it is 1 hr parking.

Sedef Okman

The Imagine Dragon event was incredible. Hopefully they do this again next year! The trail was easy and the interactions during Covid was perfectly handled

The high tea was a major disappointment on so many levels. Like others have pointed out in the reviews, the tea was not hot and not very strong. You did not receive individual teapots, and so were constantly being asked if you needed more tea. The biscuits were incredibly dry. There was not one of each kind of dessert per person. I had to split a 1.5" bowl of sticky toffee pudding with another person. All other desserts were also shared except the jubilee cake, which again, was dry. Others have posted here on google reviews and on instagram photos of their desserts, and there was one piece of cake I've seen that we didn't even receive! I have been to 7 high teas, each member of the party is supposed to receive the same menu, you do not split items (considering they are small single servings). The whole experience was rushed, with barely any time to just sit and chat. After less than an hour of being seated, I was handed a single plastic takeout container and told to finish up and pack away anything I wouldn't be finishing. I was speechless. On the ticket it clearly states guests have 1hr 30mins for their seating. Avoid high tea here at all costs, not worth $25 per person let alone the amount charged, $100 per person after tax and a required tip of 18% which is outrageous given the level of service.

I have to say this is a must see. To see everything it will take 1.5 hours. Parking is $15 flat rate plus $40 per person to get in the castle. Castle tour is worth the $40. You have a few restaurants inside the castle. You will need reservations. Restaurants are not cheap. Don Alfonso cheapest dinner option no alchohol starts at $120 per person. I have to say all restaurants looked amazing.

If you love history. Royalty Times and else. You Will love this. what made me hate my experience is the fact that, tickets are sold until 4:00 PM. I came in, that's when I'm told tthat the (beautiful) gardens are Closed... Okay, Then at 4:45, you are rushed to the Doors, - hey we are closing-... Mmm... Paying +/-35$ for less than one hour restricted visit... Dishonest conduct. Be more transparent on your website, like BEFORE we purchase our tickets... To sum up, if you want to have a good experience, better call Them to confirm if all "attractions" are opened to the public and maybe... don't waste your Time or money going There after 3 PM

Holiday Lights @ Casa Loma was wonderful ! So much to see and enjoy ! Dress warm and walk through the many fantastic displays.

It's unbelievable, super huge. It's maintained very well and managed very well. Each item is antique. There is a huge library. I actually found a book with Chinese characters in this library. There's a guest room with Chinese style. $30 for visiting previous living space on 1-2 floor, museum on 3 floor, halloween channel, wax museum, stables. $15 for parking.

Partha Sarathi Sinha

Really interesting spot, loved the history of it all. Take your time to explore all the hidden nooks and cranies. Also, make sure to make it atop the roof for a panoramic view of Toronto! Avoid paying the $15 parking by parking on Castle View Avenue instead.

It was a great experience going here a few years ago. This castle is visually appealing, and it was very interesting to me. I loved the view from the terrace! I would recommend Casa Loma to everyone.

went to casa lomas “legends of horror” even in the rain it was super fun and the bar inside had tasty drinks and pretty good food. could have been scarier tho

Great to wander, tunnel is fun, Spadina House is close too. Check out Creed coffee on your way.

A really fun attraction here in Toronto. We we're there for their Halloween Haunt. They really took the time to ensure that the grounds we're really decorated. Really exciting experience! Make sure to visit the restaurant inside. Their tomahawk steaks are amazing! Highly recommended

We went to an event with my friends. Unfortunately it has not met our expectations, it was a tea party but tea was served not hot enough; we had to asked many times for hot tea, savory was served after desert, desert plate was not enough for 5 people, we had ask for extra pieces, noise level was too high we could not heard each other on the table and asked them to turn the volume down, food was not good except scones; they could not find our coats at the cloakroom and were very rude; we went to visit the castle and first wanted to watch the movie downstairs, while we were watching, kitchen staff passed behind us with trolleys which made a rumble noise, i have warned them twice but nothing has changed, they kept doing and we could not hear the movie at all. I am really disappointed and it was not worth that much money at all.
