Stumbled in by accident and really enjoyed my hour there! Four lovely exhibits (especially the 2018 trashion (trash-fashion) week winning piece!), two staff who told me all about the place and also their kids arts & crafts programs. And free, which always makes galleries a more welcoming place.

I like this gallery. One of my lithographs was an exhibit of the collection. They went to great lengths to find me and gave a good exhibition fee. This proper payment is not always met by the administration of public galleries in which "artist fees" are plowed back into staff wages and other operating expenses. Gallery Stratford is an exception to the standard and the only Canadian public gallery of the system that has recognized my contribution without requiring me to make a demand or allowing them to take my fees as a secret, unrecognized, contribution to the curatorial staff. Like a stolen tip.

Local art gallery. Not large, but usually has 2 exhibits at the same time. Small gift shop. Lots of Pokestops and two pokegyms outside. Drop into the gallery for a poke-break and enjoy some art.

A nice little gallery. It had two modern art exhibits and a full room wood cut exhibit while I was there. They do summer camps so there were a lot of noisy kids in the hallway when I visited.

So much to see at Gallery Stratford. It has some amazing art and displays as well as fun activities for the little ones. I feel very fortunate to have met a wonderful dog while I was there, it was camera shy but it liked its back to be scritched. 1000% would pat the dog again.

Gallery Stratford sits in a beautiful, historic location within the City of Stratford. Its permanent collection covers many mediums and includes local artists as well as internationally renowned artists of exceptional calibre (Tony Urquhart, Norval Morrisseau, Salvador Dali to name but a few). A highlight for The Gallery is the Lawson-Killer Juried Exhibit held annually in the summertime. The Gallery's curated exhibits are innovative, multi-layered and show a openness to engaging in a dialogue that goes beyond the influence of the theatre. Gallery Stratford is supported greatly by the community in Stratford through the annual "I Love My Gallery Auction & Gala" which occurs in February. Gallery Stratford's classes for children, teens and adults are of an exceptional standard and highlight the range of talents found within Stratford and Perth County.

Took my daughter to the Sunday art drop-in from 1-3 and we both had a blast. Only problem was that the lady leading the group spilled glaze on my purse and hot pink paint on my daughter's coat and boots. Other than that, the amount and quality of art was fantastic and we drove all the way from London. The people who greeted us when we came in were lovely and there just happened to be muffins, tea and juice that day. Take some cash for a donation!

We always stop by when we come to visit Stratford for the theatre. Such pride of place. Always something really interesting. We always stay longer than intended and end up meeting and chatting to interesting people and staff.

The Gallery Stratford hosting the closing night of Stratford Trashion Week, the atmosphere in the gallery was spectacular, while mingling we were able to see all the art works on display. The runaway show didn't disappoint either, next year is sure to be a hit aswell!!
