Lovely place in downtown Woodstock.

A wonderful place to learn about our city's past. The curator took us through a tour. She was so helpful. My daughter needed some information for a school project. We are very fortunate to have this historic building with all it's history. Admission is just a donation. Take an afternoon down and learn more about the city you live in.

This Woodstock Museum National Historic Site is one of my favourite sports in Woodstock, Ontario. It's located right at the Downtown Woodstock. It's a nice spacious outdoor space with a nice water fountain, and the historic museum building itself looks amazing and beautiful archititure. Moreover, during December, they transformed this space into a Santa House. There is a Santa Mailbox that you can mail to Santa, there are Christmas lights all over this area, it's LIT during the evening. I read on its site that they have horse sled ride as well, but I don't know what happen during this pandemic. This is so beautiful, Luv this spot!

From the outside, this place looks average but it's what's on the inside that counts. It's actually a very well run establishment with some very smart and creative people. There's lots of activities to do here with the family and a lot of history to be learned about the local area. There are several interactive displays and lots of information to learn about without being overwhelming. The place is always tidy. There's also a little area where you can buy Woodstock branded items. For the size of Woodstock, this place is great! It's certainly worth the visit to discover what's made Oxford tick! :)

I was so impressed by this museum, oftentimes I find that museums in smaller towns can disappoint/not actually have a lot of history to talk about, but not this one! Really got into the details of Woodstock and how it's development correlated with the rest of settlement in Canada at that time. Very enjoyable, especially for the low cost of zero dollars. I heartily recommend!

Great felting class! I've learned a new skill and craft. Beautiful museum.

There was a good exhibition themed "crossroads" that had a number of art pieces there. The works were well done and displayed. The interesting thing about this museum is the local historical pieces that it holds. One can learn quite a bit about the history of life in Southwestern Ontario here.

Nice little museum with local history in a historic building

Took my two boys here. It was fun. Has courteous staff who welcomed us. Admission is a donation of your choice. The only problem i had was when we went to this museum, only the bottom floor was availble to look at. The first floor was nice, some stations were interactive for the kids but not as much as i would of liked. If the top floor was open, they would have got a four star vote from me
