REVIEWS OF T.rex Discovery Centre IN Saskatchewan

Jason Roberge

Brett Hanson

So many displays, there is a 24 minute video every half hour, lots of displays and even a few one can touch. A full T-rex skeleton dominates the centre of the display. The staff are helpful and passionate on the subject as they participate in the field as well.

Jacquie Tokaryk

In an Amazing part of Saskatchewan and Scotty lives here!

It's great for kids. Not so much for adults.

(Translated) It is a beautiful museum and the t rex is perfect but we did 50 km on a path from Gravel to get there (Original) C est un beau musée et le t rex est parfait mais nous avons fait 50 km sur un chemin de Gravel pour y arriver

Pat Clancy

This is well worth the effort to stop and see. There is a to of k knowledge to gain from this place. Go there if you can.

Cassandra Wicks

Wendy Perry

Well worth the trip!

Amy Huziak

A small museum but very charming and informative. Love the dinosaurs, obviously. As a couple of adults sans children, I felt a little out of place amongst the throngs of kids, but it seems like it would be a fun place to bring my baby nieces in the future. If you're looking to stay nearby, the Riverside Motel down the street is clean and affordable.

Louma Meunier

In the middle of nowhere, but so worth the drive!!

Gail Kesslar

To see this world class facility housing Canada's largest TRex Discovery (and 9th largest in the world) in this teeny tiny town is something that has to be experienced.

A great site, with a large nearly complete T-rex named Scotty. Video really shows the work to get this size of a specimen out of the ground. Now they have a 3d printer doing the work. Staff is super engaging. Also we got to dig on real plaster encased field samples to find fossils. With adequate supervision of course. Totally great visit. Will definitely go back. Stay local there lots to do and see!

Amazing place for anyone with even the slightest interest in dinosaurs. Heck, even if you're not someone who has an interest in dinosaurs this place will like spark one. The star attraction is Scotty, the twelve metre long female Tyrannosaurus Rex and boy is this fossil impressive. There are a number of other fossils displayed that are just as impressive, such as the rhinoceros like brontothere. The staff are super friendly and know so much about life in Saskatchewan 65 million years ago☺

Jeremy Johnson

It is quite off the map to get here... and for the long drive there really is not much here. 5 minutes of looking and you're done. And can I mention the gift shop prices? $6 for a floppy magnet? Come on. Won't come back. Very disappointed, I had high expectations.

Hansen Zanacic

Entry fee is a monetary donation. Small museum but very informative! Take the 706 grid from Cypress Hills to Eastend to be amazed with the scenery partway to Eastend. Take the 2 self drive tours of the area so learn more of the geography and area's history.

ChaoticDNA

Great collection of fossils including of course a T Rex . Our tour guide Matthew was well versed in the collection and provided a great tour, despite a low attention span child.

Steve F

Nice little facility but on our last visit they were in the middle of reopening so they didn't have everything organized and the shop was pretty poor on memorabilia!

This is a great little place to visit. It's worth the drive if you are passing nearby. I brought the family on our way back from Cypress hills. We were pleasantly surprised by how great it was.

Lorne Widger

A great little gem of an Education Centre, in the heart of Dinosaur Country.

Amanda Cook

Knowledgeable staff

Cornelius Gobel

What can I say that hasn't been said already. Scotty is twelve (?!) metres of pure T-Rex bone. You've gotta see this in person, the sheer enormity of it all will have you gasping. They really had to dig deep to get this one out but the experience is worth it. We thought taking this in would be dry going but we left gushing with excitement.

Darcy Fleury

karugia ndirangu

A lot of past that we do not understand. It leaves one wondering as to what happened

Verral Scriven

The T. Rex Discovery Centre in Eastend is not the Royal Tyrrell Museum in Drumheller... Don't go expecting a huge place with hundreds of specimens on display. This interpretive centre is devoted almost exclusively to the life and times of Tyrannosaurus rex, particularly the specimen "Scotty" discovered nearby. But if you ever wanted to learn all about T. rex, this is your place. It also has a nice exhibit on the early "Age of Mammals" based on discoveries from the Wood Mountain area. It's worth popping off the highway to visit and stretch your legs.

A great and informative little museum. Admission is via donation ($10 is the recommended amount). The museum does a great job of providing information on dinosaurs, the time frame and other interesting information. The lab is really neat and you might run into the person who found Scotty!

Demi Sison

Scenic prairieland! Museum is great!

Scott Whiting

William Dykstra

Fantastic exhibit highly recommend to visit it if your in the area.

Christianne Blais

Worth the stop, especially with kids. There's a 25-min video on the discovery and excavation of "Scotty" the biggest T-rex ever found(!), a number of displays covering topics from "Scotty" to other discoveries, to paleontology and ecological changes over the different eras. New to the centre is a chance for visitors to get hands-on and practice being a paleontologist! There are also a number of summer students working in the paleontology lab so you get to see them working away. Admission is by donation, recommends $10 per adult. There is also a walking trail outside if that's your jam.
