We have visited twice, once in 2016 and again in 2018. While most was the same, we were surprised that some things have moved around/changed. A great way to spend an hour with the train-loving kids in your family.

Aurora

Super cool museum. Nothing else like it around here.

ashten bryson

Loved it great place to take ur family

Although this post comes much later than the visit I recommend it to all who enjoy trains & the appreciation regarding the history of them. My daughter & I enjoyed our time here 2 summers ago. There are many areas to climb & explore on & interactive things to partake in.

Some pretty cool old trains and technology. Although, the overall museam is not very interactive. A bunch of props you are not supposed to touch.

Egshina Byambatseren

A few trains, perfect for younger kids who like trains, but all in all not enough trains to make it worth while.

Jeff B

Very interesting and only $6 to get in. Took about an hour to nicely go through the whole place. Not too many train cars to go into but a couple engines and the snow plow was really neat. They need a concession with cold items though :)

Michael Nilson

Terry Enns

Awesome Museum great value for our money.

Chris Nicholson

Nice small area with different train things

Zack MacGregor

I took my boys and they loved it. Two hours of entertainment for $6! Lots to see and read.

Allen Neal

James Plummer

Nice little private museum. Recommended if you have kids that like trains.

Robert Wagner

Open for the long weekend as a special event, we had our kids as well as some extended family with us. Everybody had a good time, from the youngest to the oldest. Volunteers we spoke to were informed and excited about the things they were showcasing. I'm not sure what it's like on a 'regular' day, but it was certainly cool for us this trip.

Ray Jiang

Really good place to visit for family.

Ed Toth

First impression was dull. This isn't kept up. It's what you'd think sitting outside all day everyday. Half of it was closed for whatever reason. I started giving up looking at anything half way through.

Went here during August long weekend 2019 with our two sons (under 5) and loved it! We moved to Saskatchewan from BC in January so it was nice seeing some Saskatchewan heritage and actually maintained. The staff were very friendly and it was nice our boys could run around

Dominic Tran

Amazing experience! Trains, locomotives, carriages and engines came in a various types and models. The entry ticket costs only $7 for adults, but it was so much worthwhile! Because of covid, several locations are currently closed. The streetcars are under maintenance until July. Hopefully one day I can visit the full museum with no restrictions!

If you're into trains, go check it out!

Head To Tail Pet Spa Inc.

This was a treat. It really shows what a group of like minded people can accomplish with what I can only imagine is a shew string budget and a lot of grunt work. The place is well layed out, clean, full of information. There was many of the workers/volunteers walking around doing little improvements or repairs here and there. They would always come over to give us a little bit more info than what was posted when we were clearly interested.

Small museum run by volunteers who have done wonderful job restoring things. Learned slot about training stuff from one of the members who was very knowledgeable

This is a great place to visit if you love or have someone in your family that loves trains. I'm sure they need more funding or donations. But the only issue I find is the smell of pests in some of the walk in exhibits. Would be great if a pest controle company could donate time to help out.

susan Lauro

Something a little different to see could be a little more developed but worth the admission

Aaron Arnault

Very cool place and learned alot

Michael Holmevik

Nice way to spend a warm afternoon, tour some trains, and tables to have a picnic on????.

Visited here for a staff party, there was a short cart ride to the other side and you could walk back and see some trains. If you really like trains hit this place up but if you aren't a train enthusiast you arent missing anything.

Really fun museum. Locomotives from the early 20th century right through to modern day engines. Can walk through most of the cars and rules in the museum. Great place to bring kids and adults who are interested in the history of railways will have lots to do also

Lois Riley

Welcoming participation of visitors .. Engines and boxcars can be explored; station buildings like Unity and Argo open for entry. The passenger car used to film Disney's Monkey Movie an amazing Hollywood Hit ! Gift Shop at entrance has delightful range of kids toys and adult info. See Saskatoon Street Car with retro ads inside. Volunteers continue to do extensive restorations of trains and buildings during the week. Visitors welcome on weekends. Check their website with good photos.

Great experience for our kids. They loved it! A very cool place and collection. Also, it took me to a pleasing journey to the past seen in movies and history books. It was well worth the time and the ticket.

It was great to see the reconstruction of most of the units. To bad there aren't more volunteers. Hopefully they can get some funding to keep going. People need to see there is more to sk than the western devevelopment museums.

To see the history of my province and get know some of it is treasured and must share to your young ones

Chris

It's really interesting to be able to crawl through these old trains and see all of the old tools and equipment. It would be nice if there was more readily available information, I found myself having to google a lot of things while I was there. Overall, not a bad way to spend a morning or an afternoon one weekend and learn a little

David Morrison

I one of the volunteers there.
