Loved it

Nice little museum. Not a lot to look at, but it is something to do.

jayjay

If you like small local historical museums full of local information and stories, the Depot is definitely a worthwhile stop. Full of information about Thomas "Al" Edison as as teenager and his family, as well as anecdotes from the 1940s movie starring Micky Rooney as the Young Edison.

Kirstie Keith

Interesting, small and a little bit hard to find.

Rebecca Robinson

The whole time I've lived in Port Huron, I'd never been here until last weekend. I'm glad I went, I learned a lot about Edison, and how Port Huron played Hollywood for a worldwide premier.

(Translated) I think many small and even more bolgeot, air boss is kind, Edison created the phonograph also haeteum direct play so thank you. It was a good experience for the children to feel the childhood of Thomas Edison (Original)

A tiny museum with a lot of information about Edison. The guy inside gave us a detailed intro on what to see and a little background when we went which was nice. Few of the exhibits were interactive ones and there was a short film that you can watch about the history. Overall it was a great experience.

We enjoyed ourselves. Would have liked the train car to be a little more in depth, maybe more stuff to see or do, and definitely to air conditioned would be nice.

Devon Sioma (Kiloton)

Great museum with a wealth of knowledge and artifacts to see! I learned more about Thomas Edison here than I did from Greenfield village. Really a must visit if traveling to Port Huron.

This museum is wonderful for children who enjoy inventing. We took our 9 and 10 ywar old there abd they had a blast. The gentleman who works there provides thoughtful anecdotes as you go through the exhibit and genuinely revels in peaking the interest of children in science abd discovery

The guy there was great ! He made sure to give us as much info as he could on ole Tommy....reading all the plaques in there could not believe the person Thomas was.....a little like me. Therefore, I am genius too????....in my mind. It's a small place but a lot to learn.

I think it's a great museum, but I think the admission is a little steep. I've taken friends to Port Huron and went to the depot and as soon as they see the cost the decide they dont want to go in even though they are history lovers as well.

Always wonderful to learn about something in history, especially close to home. Unfortunately they've built up around the area therefore some of the historical sites aren't there. Pretty affordable visit. Nice gifts. Orator was excellent. Be sure to check hours before going

Jamie Eichenberg

Very nicely presented museum! The gentleman there shared a lot of information about Edison. I'm so glad we stopped here. Others have complained that the price is high considering the size of the museum, but I didn't mind the price and gladly paid it to keep a nice museum going.

This was such a cute museum in Port Huron. Part of Port Huron Museums, you can visit with one pass from Carnegie Center, Huron Lightship, and the Fort Gratiot Lighthouse. There is a rail car and a lot of memoriabilia inside. If you want, you can walk across the street and have a picnic in the park. It is right underdeath the bridge that connects Port Huron, Michigan to Sarnia, Ontario.

If you are into Thomas Edison this is the place to go. Small but very informative Museum right on the river in Port Huron. We arrived a few minutes early but the staff member who was working noticed us and open the door early to let us in. He was very knowledgeable about Thomas Edison and all of the displays. We basically had our own personal tour of the place. According to the staff member they do get fairly busy on weekends and holidays but slow on the weekdays.

My girlfriend and I stopped at this museum on a whim yesterday on a beautiful no children day! We didnt expect much. We both learned so much and it was such a fantastic little museum. Dave (the emoloyee) was so knowledgeable kind and helpful. It's not a huge museum but I'd recommend you give it 45 minutes or so. We will be bringing the kids next time, for sure.

Susan Gale
