This museum has one of the largest collections of old glassware in the province. There is also a nice collection of old furniture. Outside they have some old buildings from the area. In the park, by the parking area, you can have a picnic in the shade under the pines with the usual off lake breeze blowing.

Nice and quiet with love staff members. We were there on Sunday. We were headed to Grand Bend and thought of stopping by. The place is wonderful; clean, and quite. There is a picnic area with picnic tables, historic artifacts and buildings. We parked our cars, had our brunch, took photos and headed to Grand Bend.

I love bringing my kids there and they love it too. They always have something new and interesting to see, and it's just a great place to hang with your kids, especially walking around out back.

This is an outstanding museum with fascinating exhibits exporing the native, post contact, pioneer and modern day Lambton County. It includes an old school house, presbyterian church, black smith shop and machinery garage all transplanted from various location from around the county. I learned so much! Loved the geological exhibits too.

Is the $5 entry fee worth it? ABSOLUTELY. This is a wonderful small museum that packs in a lot. The outside area reminds me of Black Creek Pioneer Village in Toronto. The inside gallery has lots of historical memorabilia collected from residents in the area and beyond. The tall older gentleman with glasses working at the reception/welcome desk was the friendliest person you'll ever meet; unfortunately I did not get his name. Charming place that deserves a visit if you're in the area already and if you have an interest in this kind of thing. And oh, there's a really friendly black cat out in the back (outside display area) who will be happy to walk alongside you and show you around!

Really interesting displays about the history of the lampton area. Outbuildings are also worth visiting. The temporary exhibit from Ottawa about Waterscapes was well done, interactive, and geared towards environment awareness.

Justin van Lieshout

Cute lil museum showcasing the history of Lambton! Definitely worth stopping in if you're nearby and need a rainy day activity! The gallery also has some stunning art and artifacts that help tell the story of the county!

Interesting museum to learn about the history of Lambton County. A large collection of furniture, glass, old iron ovens, old farming equipment and more. I particularly enjoyed the old photographs of the smaller towns in Lambton County. I spent a couple of hours there absorbing all the information. The museum also sponsors special events like the annual vendor fair in October.

Janet Billson

So much to see! A great place to take kids and teach them about water, and about past innovations that people used to make their lives easier.

We attended the annual Fall & Crafts show, which is held at the Lambton Heritage museum and center. Its always packed with all kinds of vendors, there's something for everyone. This year I bought a beautiful planter filled with assorted succulents. The price I thought was very good given the size of the bowl they came in.
