Have never returned. I was doing a paper about different nationality ships coming thru the river and got a lot of information. One morning my husband used the bathroom and i got coffee and donuts. The security guard thru my husband out. Then thru me out, i called the owner he had the nierve to ask me if i wanted my money back and told me never to return or i would get a trespassing. I was just shocked and taken back. Frankly it hurt his tourists attraction because i make sure everyone knows what kind of man runs this and i have made sure he gets less than what he had. Sad too because it could be a hit but when you judge people before you really know them thats what you get.

One of a kind! A must see when in Port Huron. A nice welcome center with a small restaurant, indoor dining, and clean restrooms. It is also home to 'Boatnerd' - a shipping website for the Great Lakes. It is also home to the PH Farmer's Market. Some neat displays and historical pics. They have outdoor seating and a nice boardwalk at the confluence of the Black & St. Clair rivers. A great place to boat watch and see freighters.

This is a nice spot to visit and has a great view of St Clair River and the lake freighters going by. There is a lot of local history and Maritime displays of Great Lakes shipping and shipwrecks in the local area. The snack bar has good food and there are friendly volunteers who also share a lot of local history.

It's a great area to be at. Tons of different people meet here at different times. The morning to mid day the seniors are enjoying a coffee by the water while late at night it's a bustling pokemon go stop! The only reason I take away a star is for the restaurant itself. It's not high quality. The food isn't why you stop though. This is a great location for port huron sightseeing.

Another great visit with very friendly staff...This is a great place to watch Lake freighters and they have a TV screen to show where they are on the river.When there up or down bound.You can also watch Sail boats and lots of power boats crushing up and down.There also a diner inside for some soup and yummy sandwiches.Outside lots of places to sit under tents or out in the sunshine.Dont forget your chairs and its Handicap accessible.With a great broad walk to take a stoll.P.S. dont forget your fishing pole !!!

We called to find out when the camera that looks under the river can you find out nothing but the best in Port Huron somebody stole it so they have basically I have water and coffee to offer and you can watch the ships go up and down the river for excitement and look at some nuts and bolts and stuff artifacts of some of the old ships wow somebody needs to do something court hearing is so freaking boring

A lot was under renovation but the third floor of the museum of Maritime history was one of the best I have seen rivals whitefish point. Well done well worth the eight dollars admission some of the greatest history of the civil war was on display again we'll done.

A very nice place to visit. Up on the water. In the summer there is a french fry truck with lots of goodies. And the Vault Ice Cream truck with a nice selection of ice cream to choose from. Inside the Maritime Center is a nice restaurant, that has good food. There is also loads of information about the Great Lakes Freighters that go down the river.

We always stop here for a few minutes coming from Wayne County to enjoy Lake Huron beaches. They had a very interesting lady named Trish who was offering to tell us about the history of Port Huron. It was amazing and interesting. However, fishing around about a tip afterwards was more than awkward because we were not prepared. We thought she was a volunteer (since it said so on her button) thought it was part of the museum's staff, and had no idea we were supposed to pay for her info afterwards. Not that I would mind giving her a tip, had we have known and prepped for it ahead of time. Don't misunderstand, she's a fantastic addition to the maritime museum! They have a wonderful asset with her service there, and they should keep her on. Only please mention a tip/donation BEFOREHAND next time please? That was embarrassing for us.

There's a really nice little breakfast/lunch counter, where you can order the "Special of the Day" or a freshly made soup, sandwich, salad, pastry, as well as unique teas and coffees. The staff alert patrons to any inbound or outbound ships, adding to the announcement, a bit of information and history about the vessel.

This is a wonderful place to go and relax and hang out at the waterfront. If you hang out inside there are tables surrounding the glass windows overlooking the lake. You can watch the boats and freighters going along the lake. You can walk the River Walk, fish, enjoy the farmers market, participate in special events, enjoy food and snacks from the deli inside, or just enjoy the air conditioning. Outside to Center you can get premium ice cream and ice cream snacks, and fresh cut fries during the summer months. This is a nice place for everyone to enjoy.

We like to take a ride to port huron & always stop there to get a cold pop or other , & watch for freighters.. Very clean restrooms, Very nice volunteers will talk about the freighters as they pass by & If the icecream trailer is there gotta have that its so yummy!! If you haven't stopped there ck it out

This is a nice place with glass-fronted so that you can sit at the table and look out on the lake at the freighters. It also has information on shipwrecks and different fish species. It evidently used to have a coffee bar inside and I don't know if it wasn't sustainable financially, but it would have been nice to be able to buy a coffee and a snack and sit and chat with friends.
