When I went, it was too late and the site was closed, but on the ground opposite there is this sculpture of the great Felix which caught my attention. From the road he can be seen sitting in the field with his guitar. You would think it was made entirely of bronze, but as I approached I found that I could see through it to finally realize that the sculpture is in fact a work made with sheets of metal cut into letters of the alphabet. I have to go back there in order to complete the full tour of this interesting place. If you are going to the island this should be your first place to visit. Lorsque je suis aller, il était trop tard et le site était fermé, mais sur le terrain en face il y a cette sculpture du grand Félix qui a attiré mon attention. De la route on peut le voir assis dans le champ avec sa guitare. On le croirais fait tout de bronze, mais en m'approchant j'ai constaté que je pouvais voir au travers pour finalement réaliser que la sculpture est en fait une oeuvre réalisée avec des feuilles de métal découpé en lettres de l'alphabet. Je dois y retourner afin terminer la visite complète de ce lieu intéressant. Si vous aller sur l’île ça devrait être votre premier lieu à visiter.

After a stroll on the loafer trail all that was missing was a good ice cream. On the other hand, we must admit that the constant flow of cars on the island of Orléan is quite unpleasant. Turning right in a car or crossing the street as a pedestrian can be quite strenuous. Although the tourist economy is having a positive impact, Île d'Orléan, during vacancy, seemed to me to be a U.S parking lot, which I was greatly disappointed with. Would I go there again? Probably not personally because of the car traffic, but if it's not something that bothers you, your trip will be nice and enjoyable. (Original) L'espace Félix-Leclerc en tant que tel est très enrichissant. La reconstitution de son espace de travail m'a fait voyager non seulement dans le temps, mais aussi dans l'esprit de Félix. Après une balade sur le sentier des flâneurs, tout ce qu'il manquait était une bonne crème glacée. Par contre, il faut reconnaître que le flux constant d'automobiles sur l'île d'Orléan est assez désagréable. Tourner à droite en automobile ou traverser la rue en tant que piéton peut être assez ardu. Bien que l'économie touristique ait un impact positif, l'île d'Orléan, en période de vacance, m'a semblé être un U.S parking, ce qui m'a grandement déçu. Est-ce que j'y retournerais? Probablement pas personnelement à cause du flux d'automobile, mais si ce n'est pas quelque chose qui te dérange, ton voyage sera beau et agréable.

The walking tour across the road gets 5 stars, the museum not so much, perhaps if I were Quebecois and knew him or his work I would have enjoyed it. However the walk through the field and then the woods was BEAUTIFUL. It is a wonderful way to stretch your legs if you've just had a meal in the summer.

Bref à visiter si on est fan de Félix Leclerc.

The hiking trail, located on the other side of the street is very beautiful, crossing both fields and undergrowth. This is worth a look. 2.5 kilometers does not require much effort.
