Beautiful and peaceful site for a visit. Offer a prayer and light a candle in the Grotto of Lourdes in St. Albert right behind this beautiful basilica. I felt peaceful.

Oliver Edwards

Came up the hill to enjoy the historic sites and read about the history of the area. Found 8 parking spots, all taken surrounded by at least 15 empty spots for Catholic school board members. The parish parking lot was marked heavily with signage banning parking unless you were attending services. So we drove around and didn't stop. It looks like it would have been a wonderful experience to walk and read all the signs but we couldn't. Recommend you add more public parking.

Good there isn't an official guide but were able to ask questions and sample some left over bannock from a field trip that had just gone through.
