Great little gem. The people are friendly and knowledgeable and interesting. George is fascinating, the blacksmith is talented, the other actors all know their role and describe their stories with passion, and the Mi'kmaq interpretor is informative. This wasn't our destination, but we stopped on a whim and it was definitely worth it.

Kathy Lee

Good to receive good information about local history and see historical equipments/houses.

Interesting old village. Very good guides, esp. in the store

Tamara LLangstroth

Walking through the past with this quaint little village. It would be similar to the times and days of " Little House on the Prairie ". The museum is full of history and artifacts. Very well kept Historic Village.

Gayle Stewart

Very cool with loads of history!

Carol Maclauchlan

Full of history and wonderful photo off days gone by.

Bad MTFK

Small and remote historic village, but a really nice one. Some employees act like villagers and i really felt this "time traveling" moment. Great place.

Aaron Doucette

Stars because the kids enjoyed it. The village was cute, didn't learn a lot about it because the staff seemed like they did not want to be there. I'm guessing because it was not at all busy this season. One buddy really, really wanted to teach us how to make candle wicks. He was very sweet.

Anthony McAndrew

Amazing place to step back in time and see how things once were. Great for the family!

Sue MacKenzie

Very informative and peaceful setting

Roberta Tasovac

What an amazing experience, definitely a place to visit, we watched the blacksmith make an iron hook out of a straight piece of iron. Visited the store, saw the schoolhouse and listened to the stories. Children were feeding some of the animals on the farm. The staff were amazing and welcoming.

Leah Hattenhauer

Beautiful spot to visit! The cutest little town ever. We almost never went but I'm so glad we did in the end. We thoroughly enjoyed our visit and the giftshop was small but had some really beautiful items!!!

Stephen McQuaid

Always a fantastic trip back in time. Great interactive activities like debarking wood for fence posts, making candles, and getting to watch the blacksmith. Getting to see the animals, like the days-old kids. Staff are always helpful and knowledgeable, and will probably teach you something new each visit. They'll soon have some period-correct snacks to serve, too!

Patty Daniels

Do the experiences! We had a fabulous day! People were amazing!

Lindsey Ross

This place was way cooler than I realised. I maybe should have done my homework first.. But I did not realise how vast it was and how many things there were to see. …

Dana Harris

Glad we stopped here only flaw to me was I would have liked to have seen more info on the old farm machinery as to who donated it...

Safery Hossain

This place is actually amazing!! I grew up all my life in Toronto so I have never experienced any form of village lifestyle. As a trip to PEI, we randomly found this attraction while driving by. Believe it or not but this was definitely the …

Really cool place that shows what rural life was like in the mid to late 1800s. Lots of stuff to do and friendly knowledgeable staff. Price is reasonable and could definitely spend a couple of hours there.

Eric Mercer

A wonderful historic village. The authentic costumed actors were a great touch.

Danielle Arsenault

Love going to see this little piece of island history. Student workers are knowledgeable and it's a great way to spend a couple of hours.

Nathan Gildart

I really enjoyed this place. I like the interpretive center before walking through a 'living museum' with costumed staff there to share the history of the village and province of PEI. Also have an indigenous staff member sharing stories and …

Worth it. Located near of Trans-canada highway makes it easy to go. The village is actually a real one and not artificially made of fake buildings or moved ones, it was alive until the 1980's, cemetery is still there. Part of provincial …

Paul Van Buren

We enjoyed it as a family activity. The children got to make candles and rope. Plenty of buildings to visit. Animals to see. A working blacksmith who is happy to answer your questions.

Such a great place for the kids to check out the animals and educational. Go for a ride in the horse and buggy or learn to make a candle!

Stefan Dahmann

In a way it's typical of these kinds of places, but the people there are very nice and helpful, they are happy to explain everything, give demonstrations etc. The place is actively being used for a bit of farming, horse drawn carriage rides, community entertainment etc. We really enjoyed our time there.

Amanda MacIntosh

We always stop here on our trips to PEI. It's a welcoming little historic village and the cast is super knowledgeable about how things used to be in days gone by. My nephew is very curious by nature and he was asking the shop keeper lots of questions, and she didn't skip a beat! Stop here for a quick look back at history!

Great insight into local history - and baby goats! - but I wish some of the staff were more engaging. One guy I went up to literally looked at the ground, said “We usually make candles here,” and walked briskly away into the fields. Decent for kids, worth the $10 admission.

Stacey Scott

We visited Orwell Corner Historic Village with our son, a toddler at the time, several years ago. We had a great time walking through the village and farm buildings. It was so nice to see all the re-enactors doing period-specific tasks/chores. Definitely recommend it for families.

Gwen McGuire

So much to see and learn. Loved it!

Tricia H

We didn’t plan on going here, we were on our way to Cavendish beach. But this was something to do. It cost $15 per adult, kids were free (ages 16). We went through the Anne of green gables house, which is based on the books and …

This historic village is must see on PEI. The period characters describe life of the farmers/settlers well, there are a variety of farm animals to see as well as a very interesting agricultural museum! Blacksmith demos available. Nice grounds to spend some time at.

Jeannie Gallacher

great opportunity to learn how things were done over 150 years ago

Tracy MacDonald

We love this historic village and have taken our sons there several times. They love exploring and interacting with staff. This year they did the Blacksmith experience with Jason and it was amazing!

Keith Bryan

Wonderful and extensive collection of tools and implements with explanations from the perspectve of those that used them. Well worth a visit.

Kirk MacLeod

Great historic site

George Spink

A “museum village”, not a semi-living community as implied. Really has only about 6 significant structures. Actually the most interesting part is the agricultural museum, albeit much of the equipment is inadequately labeled. Plan to eat at MacPhails (a half-mile away) instead

Danny McKarris

Friendly staff and a fair price

Dominic Reeves

The coolest historic place I have ever been.

Having Traveled the Maritimes for the last month, and PEI for the past week, I rate this as absolutely one thing not to miss. Make sure to see the video shown before visiting the grounds, live accounts and video of what life was truly like for the early settlers.

karen fourie

Fabulous place to experience the joy and heart ache of an era gone by. Guides were knowledgeable and helpful. Am very proud of the candle I was taught to make. Highlight of my visit to PEI.

Not a village of re-located buildings, but an actual Historic Village with ORIGINAL buildings. There is an agricultural museum too. Well worth the stop.
