It looks nice, but it wasn't open when we arrived. Not sure why. We were there within the advertised hours. There was no obvious indication as to why it was closed. It's not too easy to find. It's a bit out of the way, and not very obvious from the main road. The building is extremely small, just a single room. There's a small extra building with (apparently) restrooms, but that was also closed when we were there.

Like stepping back in time, very well maintained

Such a lovely and unique place, so strongly attached to the writer Lucy Maud Montgomery, author of well known in the world Anne of Green Gables. LMM worked as a teacher in this school and found the love of her life in Herman Leard from Lower Bedeque too. If only walls could speak.. It's the only existing and well preserved among of all the schools somehow linked with Maud! Visiting here truly felt like a time travelling, besides all the area is such green, beautiful and peaceful place, definitely worth coming. Hope to visit again, same the school as historical The Leard House.
