DESCRIPTION

We offer you all the reviews of real people who purchase the products and services of Cape Bear Lighthouse and Marconi Museum (Museum) in Prince Edward Island (Canada).

As of day this firm gets a score of 4.3 over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.

You must have seen that its rating is quite high, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can be pretty sure that the assessment is quite credible. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are pleased with the business, is that it works.

You know that we do not usually bother to write opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or issue...

This Museum is included in the category of Historical landmark.

Isolated lighthouse on the end of the cape. Nice view and a winery just down the road towards the ferry. Pleasant staff member.

Arash Ghashghaei

Nice lady explaining the history of light house. You'll enjoy your visit.

The Marconi station is no longer here. There is a tiny musuem and you can get an interesting guided tour about the life and work in the lighthouse and a little bit about the Marconi station. As far as lighthouses go it is not the most beautiful, but it has a working light even during the day, so if you climb three very steep flights of stairs you will be rewarded by the unique experience of seeing the rotating light and fresnel lens.

Kevin Cisaroski

Early season visit so the facility is still closed, both the lighthouse and Marconi exhibit just up the road. Still a nice area to walk around and explore. Some beautiful coastline to see and take photos of.

Lior Terentiev

Absolutely beautiful view, and it has a gift shop!

John Tingley

Beautiful scenery. Historical relevance.

Sheila kunes

Beautiful spot to visit

Greg Eamer

It's pretty neat...for a lighthouse. Climbing up is kind of fun. It's hot in there obviously but hey there is a giant light in there. I'm glad we stopped by

Loved this place

Anuj Sood

Nothing much to see from outside. The museum has an entry fee of $5 and sounds like worth it. But we had to wait half an hour in the queue as it was busy on a weekend morning.

Kelvin Hill

Completely closed up. The outside looked just "ok".

Holly Hohban

Really pretty

Paul Friesen

Interesting and truly Canadian .

Lori Parker

The Canadian flag needs to be replaced! The site is peaceful and beautiful!

Staff was friendly and admission was very reasonable. Gift shop had a good selection and the museum was small but interesting with some fantastic views of the water. Didn't get to see the Marconi station

The site that received the Titanic distress call has a chilling special element to it. Worth the trek

Demora Pringel

Loved the view. The lady working in the lighthouse told some interesting facts about the lighthouse and the history of it. Definitely a nice place to check out.

Wayne Rogers

A bit difficult to find as signage is sparse. Fantastic views of to main land Nova Scotia. Be aware, there are quite a few bees here.

Leon Jongsma

A great piece Canadian history. Well kept up. Run by local staff who are knowledgeable and really care about the place. Some Titanic history as well to be had.

Chris Dykman

Frank VANDERZALM

Nice vantage point, clearly necessary for navigation assistance. The lighthouse as a tourist attraction was minimal. It wasn't staffed and neither was the historic location that received a Morse code distress signal from the Titanic.

Patrick Poirier

It's a light house awesome part is the view and the history

Kazza Ballinger

Amazing sights too see and take beautiful memories off.

The most beautiful scenery on the island that we have seen so far!! Gorgeous setting!! Words and pictures can't really describe or capture it!! It is perfectly quiet there. The water looks like frosted glass! Below the lighthouse are smooth stone rock formations that are fascinating to look at. The only thing you need to be careful of are the bees in one section if you have an allergy to them. It sounded like a lot of them. We just stayed away from that part, and they weren't a problem. We heard the seals outside, and may have spotted one swimming in the water, but it was a bit far away. The top of the lighthouse had a spectacular view with the beacon in full operation during the day. The stairs are very narrow and steep with not very large openings leading to each floor in the lighthouse. If you are very obese or in a wheelchair, this would be impossible. Slightly obese people scaled it fine though. There is no ramp. They have picnic tables on the grounds for you to eat your lunch. The admission is $5 per adult, $10 per family to the lighthouse. They have a small gift shop with snacks, canned homemade jams, and homemade crafts and knit objects there too.

Wendy Zeemel

Absolutely a must see historical site. I went right to the top of the Lighthouse. Saw many pictures and learned some amazing history.

Granger MacPhail

Allan Carr

Looking over the ocean with the lighthouse in my camera lens was to die for.

At $10 for a family, you can't really go wrong. The lighthouse was moved from its original location due to erosion and the 'tour' itself is quite quick. The weather was cloudy so we didn't takeany worthwhile pictures.

Good to visit

Nice old lighthouse. Lots of pictures and history. Operated by private volunteer association. Admission fees are not too bad ... But it's a short tour and visit. Kids thought the climb up was fun! Getting down was fun too. All in all it was ok.

Not the tallest lighthouse but one with a unique history. This marconi station/lighthouse was the first land station to pick up the SOS sent from RMS Titanic after it struck the iceberg. Relays from this station helped spread the word of the disaster. This lighthouse is slightly off the beaten path but still worth visiting. Hint- continue to the end of the dirt road for more spectacular views of the sea.

Supposedly the place receiving the Titanic distress signal first. Didn't go up the stairs, the beauty of the day won out over history descriptions.
