Stopped by for a quick visit on the way through Pictou. What a fabulous museum. If you are at all interested in genealogy, this is a great place to start. It specializes in the genealogy of the area, but would be a great resource for anyone with any questions. Good gift shop too.

Great piece of history. The tour guide was very informative. The upstairs was closed for safety reasons. The gardens in the back should be cleaned up. They are overgrown and would look beautiful if maintained.
