Sept 2016. Our second time to the Gaspe Bay. Percé is a must to see the Big Rock with the hole in it.We could see it from Point Saint-Pierre many km away?Up close is even better for pics.We hung out here two days.Part of each day was running between the rain drops.

Pour 5$ (mais il faut payer comptant.), ça vaut la peine de le faire pour découvrir des oeuvres d'artistes locaux, n'hésitez pas à poser des questions pour d'amples indications.

The experience at the Musée le Chafaud was unpleasant. No indication outside that this is an art museum and that access costs $ 5. (Original) Précision importante: Musée le Chafaud (1er et 2ème étage, entrée du côté de la route principale) partage le même bâtiment que le Centre de Découvertes de la SÉPAQ (sous-sol et entrée par l'arrière). J'ai visité les deux en septembre 2020. Le Centre de Découvertes se visite de façon autonome et on apprend davantage sur le parc de l'Ile Bonaventure, la pêche de la Morue, la Gaspésie, etc. Plusieurs commentaires ici sur "Musée le Chafaud" se rapportent plutôt au Centre de Découvertes. L'expérience au Musée le Chafaud a été désagréable. Aucune indication à l'extérieur que c'est un musée d'art et que l'accès coûte 5$. L'accueil a été froid et l'introduction a été faite sur un air condescendant pour ceux n'appréciant pas l'art à sa juste valeur. Le monsieur a aussi vivement critiqué la SÉPAQ puisqu'ils ont exproprié des gens de l'Ile Bonaventure pour rester "entre fous" avec les fous de bassan. Difficile d'apprécier les oeuvres d'art en exposition pour la vente, après une telle introduction...

Museum of the town and Bonaventure island. There are lots of interesting artifacts and descriptions are in English and French. The staff is friendly and helpful in explaining all the information in the museum. This is included in the Bonaventure park entrance.
