Amazing amazing place! It’s open everyday for public visits. Go with some cash! It’s pay what you can. It’s very rustic and historic, with many things to learn. Our tour guide Jeff is an amazingly knowledgeable guide. He seems very passionate about what he does and it was very entertaining to learn about the different buildings and their functions. Take your kids as well, very insightful for them. They serve complimentary iced tea, cheese cake, baked goods, etc. On a first come first serve basis. They have many events on a daily basis, so take advantage and show your family another side of what the urban life has to offer. Would highly recommend!

The museum consists of a few houses but the nicest thing is the park/trails attached to it. Kids playground (hard sand, mind you), nice trails and lots of big trees for shade. Water park area and leash free dog area too. Staff are indeed super friendly and helpful. No cafe so bring your own food/picnic lunches. Decent washroom facilities but not the cleanest.

Just attended the museum's Desserts by Lamplight holiday event and it was just lovely. So nice to see this old house lit the way it would have been back in the day and with period Christmas decorations and utterly fantastic desserts -- plus live music from a saxophone quartet! Such a great night out! (Loved the log cabin, by the way.)

Went today (7th April) and there were small activities happening. A small Easter egg scavenger hunt, crafts and baking (chocolate puff and chocolate tea). The staff were welcoming and smiling. Next week the recipes will change a bit. Recommended for children. About an hour can be spent here. It's right next to children's park so added bonus. Parking was not an issue either

This park isn't what it used to be. If you enter from the McCowan road bike path, you're going to be immediately greeted by a smell that can only be described as a mix of sewage and onions. The park itself is decent, quite big and a lot of tables and seating areas. The one major problem, however, is that they're always full and occupied. People are all over the place, are overly loud (screaming, shouting etc.) and refuse to throw their garbage out in trash cans which are all over the park, which is why there's always litter. The only time I come to this park is to bike through it, but the path is flooded by people who walk across the entire width and who don't make space for you, even when they see you coming. The soccer field, baseball diamond and tennis courts are nice.

It was lovely visiting this historic four houses 'museum' in a sunny day. We, my wife and I and three children along with my friend's family, had a tour during doors opening. We had the old style homemade chocolate covered candy from a 19th century dressed young lady, which made us feeling at home. My son was so impressed seeing the tools people used more than a century ago, especially the juicer. These four houses were actually moved here in Scarborough Thompson park from different places. It would be nicer if we had the chance visiting bedrooms on the second floor. The kids really enjoyed seeking the signs/objects. Thank you Scarborough Museum, we had a wonderful tour.

I love this hidden gem in Scarborough! You are transported back in time to when the first settlers arrived in Scarborough.

Enjoyed the tour! It is a small exhibit of 2 historic style houses, so tours seem to occur spontaneously, when one shows up.
