Very interesting to see how life was for the Mathews family. Lots of items from the family are on display in the setting of a traditional home in the early 1800s. Enjoyed the guided tour. Only takes an hour. Don't miss seeing the dueling guns....used in the last duel which killed a young man before dueling was outlawed.

A lovely building, and the main floor is nicely restored. Self-guided tour.

It gives you some insight how people used to live. Attendance is free, donations are welcomed. Well maintained. Worth a visit while you near by. City parking is close by or you can park on the street.

A walk back into the past welcomes you at this wonderful heritage museum. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. This museum covers Perth from its early days as a Military settlement until present day. Well worth a visit to Matheson House

Friendly staff. Well preserved rooms. The top floor could have been a bit better organized in my opinion. However, overall a good experience with a little of Ontario's history!

Lovely museum! Very well kept. There are booklets with information about the exhibition. I wish I have more time to read it through. Staff was extremely helpful answering my questions! Admission is by donations.

Great..... operates on donations and have two beautiful side Gardens to enjoy which my wife really did. Historical home with interesting fact. 2 floors are open for visitation- 3rd floor closed due to exhibit
