I think the best time to view this garden us in early spring when the Fawn Lilys are blooming. Check out my YouTube channel (Gord Chapman) and watch my video, "Fawn Lily Meadow: Oak Bay Native Plant Garden!"

Such a peaceful little garden... There are a million nooks and crannys with beautiful views. There's usually no one around too and the ground is incredibly soft. For the biologists and plant lovers, seeing a garden with only native plants is exciting as well, really makes you think about how much humans affect/change nature.

What a gift, this small native garden is just that, a native plant garden in the middle of the city! Highly recommended, and enter with care, closing the gate to avoid deer entering.

Edna Rivas

Nice place and relaxing.

Peaceful and serene ????

Though this garden is not large, in its shining time, the springtime, it has a beautiful assortment of native flowers such as Erythronium (White Fawn Lily), Trillium, and other beauties. It is free and has a little chip trail that one can stroll around. It is a great addition to any walk around Oak Bay. It is very close to the Oak Bay Beach Hotel, so guests there could enjoy this little local gem.

A tiny little native plant garden across from the Oak Bay Beach Hotel. There are lots of memorial benches there to sit on and reflect and enjoy the shade or the sounds of the birds. There is a small pond and not much in bloom when I went but will go back another time of year to see what's happening. It doesn't take long to check it out so worthy of a visit if you need a short time out in nature.

Catherine Rogers

This is a very small garden of mostly shade plants. There is a pond with a fountain and several benches among the soft paths. Tended by volunteers, this is a lovely quiet spot.

I think it's a great selection of native plants and I recommend it.

Snug little gated garden with (unlabeled) native plants and a single seating area in front of the pond. Its completely shaded and totally secluded, good for a hide-out (with no mosquitos!!). You can hear traffic/people walking by, but since it’s a residential area, there isn’t much of that.
