We offer you the opinions of people who know the services and products of Government House (Museum) in the territory close to Oak Bay (Canada).
To this day this firm has a rating of 4.7 stars out of 5 and this rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can see it reaches an reviews average is basically the top, and it is based on a high number of feddbacks, so we can conclude that the valuation is very reliable. If there are many people who bothered to rate when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum is classified in the category of Government office.
Beautiful grounds, and a spectacular costume exhibit. Dresses dating back to the early 1900s in amazing condition.
A must see with its beautiful gardens and walk ways with breath taking veiws
Fantastic education. Took all my Grandkids.
Excellent display of period furniture and decor of Regina's political elite in the early 1900s. The surrounding grounds are splendid.
Another job site
Slice of Sask history from as early as late 19th century. Will need to come back for a tour of preserved upper class living items and ways.
A beautiful historical place where you can learn a bit about the province's history.
(Translated) Beautiful spot where to make macro to the flowers, wonderful I gardini that in some places seem inspired by Disney movies. To see absolutely in the periods when the flowers have blossomed. (Original) Bellissimo spot dove fare macro ai fiori, meravigliosi I gardini che in alcuni punti sembrano ispirati ai film disney. Da vedere assolutamente nel periodi in cui I fiori sono sbocciati.
Beautiful park (under construction/renovations). Much Britishness.
Very neat historic building and artifacts!
Very beautiful grounds
It’s been my 5th time visited the government house. It was always nice to have walk around this property, have a beautiful scenery especially flowers! They have such a beautiful flowers. I am impress how they maintain the gardens. I believed they must be did a lot of effort to there to maintain the gardens and they did an awesome job.
Beautiful buildings and grounds.
Family had fun at the Halloween event. Place was nice and the staffs were very accommodating.
Didn't plan on visiting this place. We bumped into it during a morning stroll... it just made our morning. What a place. Great scenery, beautiful landscaping and historical building. Must see!
Cool place
Beautiful grounds when many people go to take there wedding photo's.
Historical government building with a neat museum and greenhouse.
This was an incredible museum. They guides and staff are so knowledgeable and friendly. We enjoyed our time there and can't wait to return. Such a beautiful museum filled with mystery and history.
THE BEST
Government tea house was such a unique experience! All the staff are super nice and attentive even though they are volunteers!!! I'm so impressed and appreciative of what they do. Great place for experience history and fun place to take young girls and for friends get together. You get to enjoy a very lovely black tea along with finger sandwiches and a dessert (victorian tea set) or you can just choose dessert or just sandwiches. Would love to come again! After the tea, you can also tour the government house to learn a little bit of history!
The teas are fantastic (affordable and delicious with friendly volunteers), although the tickets sell out very quickly. We were lucky to get tickets at the last minute from the waiting list. The house/museum is gorgeous-- definitely worth checking out. If you do go, look closely at the doorknobs and hinges -- the people who designed, constructed, and restored the house seemed to pay attention to even the most minute details.
Canadian so its cool!!! :)
Amazing history.
Great place to take a short hike through. Dog friendly as well.
My kids learned a little history today
The tour was fun and interesting.
Vintage and timeless
One of my favourite magical places to go!
One of our favorite places to go with kids. Look for Jocko the monkey and then head to the basement to play.
Some nice flowers
Beautiful place to walk around.
Very historic site.
(Translated) I translated the Government House into "State Guest House", which is the state guesthouse for the British royal family and Canadian dignitaries. It is usually a large garden open to the public free of charge. Only the main building is open to visitors at 9:30 am and 11:00 am on the first Saturday of every month. The area of your Butchart Garden is much smaller, but there are about ten garden styles. Because it is built on a stone high ground, it can also overlook the sea and the Olympic Mountains on the opposite shore. Sometimes guests will meet lawn weddings and British guests. Don't have a bit of fun. The famous castle is 500 meters nearby. Can visit together.
Beautiful property to explore and enjoy, especially in the spring and summer. Great place to take a date for a walk or get engagement or wedding photos done.
Great place to visit. Loved the Tea House!
Dear Mr Royal Hampton...
Lovely place with lots of parking space.
What beautiful grounds to stumble upon!
It's not a big place, but they do have some interesting memorabilia. I was here for the Easter egg hunt with my daughter. It was an amazing experience and it was free!
Very nice museum. We got a very informative tour even though there was three of us, the lady giving the tour was very friendly. The admission is free, but donations are welcomed. Will visit again when in Regina.
A lovely tour guide led us into 1905. It was a wonderful time travel.
Was alright
This is an amazing garden and it is not so over run with people in tourist season. It is a short drive from downtown (10 minutes) into a lovely residential neighbourhood called Rockland. On a clear day, from numerous vantage points, you can see the Olympic Mountains. The gardens are open to the public from sunrise to sunset. THE PRIVATE residence is not open to the public unless for a special occasion. William and Kate, the future King and Queen of England stayed in residence here for a week. There is a modest tea rom open in the summer months. Deer roam freely on the property. IF you bring your dog--and they are welcome--make sure it is ON LEASH due to the deer and other animals (squirrels).
If you like history, tea parties and giggles you should go. I went with my 64 year old mom and 8 year old daughter for the high tea. Get dressed up for extra fun.
This winter season was disappointing as the maintenance staff at Government House in Regina decided not to clear the snow on walkways in the gardens. This is the first time since I moved into the neighbourhood in 1997.
The government house is a cool place Lots of gardens and fountains and pathways. Couldn't get into the building but the grounds are nice. Definetley worth a visit if your ever downtown Victoria..
I dig government house. The gardens rival buchart I think and are run by volunteers! There's tours two weeks a month. Sometimes there are conferences, and there's a restaurant at the Carry Castle mews. There's a costume museum and some chickens here!
It's a beautiful space with lots of opportunities for pictures. Even has a museum of sorts.
One of the best places in Victoria if you like gardens. This picture comes with an extra. How to take a picture of something and only notice it later, as in this case 'hidden dangers'. See if you can find it.
Historic seat of Government in Saskatchewan.
It’s a wonderful place to visit. Nice people there.
great staff
Hidden gem stately house & garden close to Cook Street Village and downtown Victoria. Lovely view across Juan de Fuca Strait. Well worth a visit.
A garden wonderland
This is an absolute gem in the city of Victoria. The gardens are beautifully maintained (I think by volunteers) and include rose gardens, rock and vegetable gardens, native plants, a water feature, etc. Behind the House, I've often seen deer, birds and other wildlife and there's a wonderful view of the ocean too. Today there were several small groups of people enjoying a picnic, visiting, resting on a bench or just reading a book. I'm not sure if the tours are happening at this time but if you ever get a chance to see inside the Government House, it's worth it.
Beautiful gardens and always a great place to walk and explore the the different plants and flowers. Dog friendly and many places to sit and enjoy the scenery or a picnic. Don't miss the rock terraces and the herb garden.
Dazzling gardens!
I like the historical impressive building that still accommodates VIP visiting Victoria and the beautiful garden.
I was back 'home' with my children for a month and wanted to show them the history or Regina, so a stop to Government House was a must. We took the guided tour along with my mom (who has been there several times) and the tour guide was very good, even taking extra time at the end to spend time with my children who had many questions for her. After the tour, we visited the children's playroom in the basement, which my children loved; most especially my daughter who loved dressing in period costume and using the play kitchen to bake up all manner of meals and treats for her 'guests' who arrived by horse and cart. My children enjoyed their experience so much in fact, that we had to make another 2 trips for them to visit the museum and interactive areas. In this day of constant technology change, it was fun for us parents and grandparents to watch the children learn how 'old' televisions, telephones, etc. worked while using them to learn about Canadian and Saskatchewan history. After the museum closed, we enjoyed a walk through the gardens and appreciated the shade during the 35C heat, too. My children have made this location a must-do and already have it at the top of their lists of things to do the next time we visit the Queen City.
The Government House Historical Society puts on an excellent tea.
Good tour of an interesting building
Nice grounds, good for strolling.
It is very beautiful and relaxing place
Gardens were in full bloom, looking very well cared for. Love the variety of flowers. Fun to walk about.
This is a great museum. Get a tour of the facility and then self guide afterwards it is worth it.
Great interpretive materials and presented in a dynamic interesting manner too. I was so incredibly lucky to meet the Lieutenant Governor of Saskatchewan, her Honour Vaughn Solomon Schofield - who was super cool. Saskatchewan leads all Canadian provinces for having the highest number of female Lieutenant Governors and I think that's pretty wicked. ????
Rich history, nicely laid out tour
Lovely gardens. Many different types of gardens. Large area. No admission charge.
We were given a fantastic tour of the grounds and museum during our visit and honestly I was suprised at just how much history one house had! This is a must for those visiting regina to learn the history of Saskatchewen's Royal City
Beautiful grounds, nice views of the mountains and the water. Great place for a walk. The rose gardens were amazing.
I had a great visit of the restored 1905 governor house. The guide was interactive, resourceful and friendly. I would definitely recommend it.
Wonderful guide, charming security and we sang along to a Christmas Carol, took 199 photos and loved every minute of it!
Lovely property with a ton of history and a great view!
The tour guide was super good. She really knows what she is doing. She made me go centuries back.
I love spending time in this garden. It has beautiful scenery: small pond, well maintained gardens, nice trails with oak trees, and a few lookouts with astonishing views. It's always so peaceful yet never without people walking around. Great for a lunch break, or a day visit to this historical neighborhood.
Beautiful, tranquil, property with many acres of walking trails leading to beautiful well maintained gardens. 2 rose gardens on either side of the house contained in black iron fencing with gates. Simply beautiful.
Gr8 view!!!
Wow such beautiful gardens and space and views and the building is magnificent. It stinks of colonialism though
Great little museum that tells human stories, a nice change from most museums.
Stunning gardens and shaded walkways. Benches to sit on and contemplate life.
It's cool to see a government place up closed!
The Government House Gardens are so beautiful - any time of the year, and the ocean view is spectacular! Now we want to check out their Tea Room, too! : > The gardens are free to the public, and free parking - so great!
(Translated) A window to the history of Regina, wherever you go. (Original) 了解里贾纳历史的一个窗口,必到之处。
Wonderful! We had the Victorian tea, and it's definitely something to make a habit of doing. The volunteers were awesome, the tea was delicious and the finger sandwiches were delightful.
Peaceful park, lots of little trails and nice views.
On and off season destination
Very beautiful
We dropped in en route between Ontario and Alberta, and the interesting and engaging reenactment was a wonderful introduction to Regina history.
What an amazing place! Must visit! Great stuff!
New Year's Day ball
Enjoyed the trip down the history lane. How did Governor General and his family live, how did they entertain guests, how does formal dining look like, where did guests sleep - know all this and more for free. Deserves donations.
We attended the POE dinner with the Lt Governor. Thank you very much for all the help!
Free, old lieutenant governor house, from 1890. Well preserved. Occasionally actors act out roles from old time periods. Surprising this is free. About one hour attraction.
Beautiful gardens and tour of the house
A historical treasure for the entire family!
An old and historically important place. Please be respectful.
Beautiful grounds, this is a great place to go for a nice quiet walk.
I loved the Government House Museum after two visits and need to visit a third time to finish the tour. Normally this Museum would only take one visit, but first attempt, I left the Hostel with my South Korean sidekick tour partner whom goes by the alias ........ Hopkins ! .......... a little late. Anyway, after taking us on a one hour added to our trip really long short cut we arrived 20 minutes before closing and so we split up dashing around the house trying to take as many photos as humanly possible within are limited time budget. Day two we arrived an hour and a half before closing and didn't quite wrap up the full house tour. This is a must see Museum for everyone, singles, couples, families and is wheelchair accessible. The security staff and Lovely Hostess are friendly, professional and knowledgeable about the History of Government House and exhibits enhancing the overall experience of this must see Museum for Canadians and tourists alike. The admittance is free plus you take home a 49 colour page Government House booklet absolutely free, but there is a donation box for those whom appreciate Government House enough to offer a little support. ;)
Lovely gardens!
Neat place with a beautiful garden surrounding. You can walk freely around but you can't enter the actual building.
The house tours are 2 hours long so be ready for that. The gardens are one of my favorite Victoria visitor spots because you can walk from Craidarroch to the gardens to the Ross Bay Cemetery and it only takes an hour or so, depending on how much time you spend in each spot. In the summer there are often bee hives near the herb garden so you get to see bees all over the herb garden the stables also have some chickens and there are often deer in the little orchard.
very beautiful staff is friendly and helpful
Cool place
Great exposition and awesome guide that we had during the visit. We have learned a lot of interesting facts, we have not known about before. I would definitely recommend.
(Translated) State guesthouse, the surrounding environment is average, with a garden inside, so so. (Original) 国宾馆,附近环境一般,里面是个花园,一般般。
The tour .... "If these walls could talk" was great. Definitely worth experiencing. Educational and quite enjoyable. We had a great time on this tour.
Beautiful ground and garden to walk around. We came here just before closing and staff informed us we can still walk around the grounds
I went there for provincials heritage fair. I've been there before with my guide trip and it was amazing! When I went there there food was really bad. Burned grilled cheese and very very sweet lemonade. Also they had all the exhibits spread out and it wasn't very neat or tidy that way.
Wonderful garden and trails
Walked up from downtown to find this "hidden gem" on Victoria to find it truly hidden! They are restoring the building and it is all covered over in what looks like plastic tarp :( the grounds are lovely though with plenty of little paths to walk around plus public washrooms. Very quiet and peaceful.
Super beautiful flower garden
Their scavenger h7nt was a hit with the kids. There's a ton of cool information as well.
Do you like beautiful flowers, exploring a wide variety of impeccably manicured gardens, learning local history, and doing it all for free??? If so, I would definitely recommend taking an hour or two and taking in the beauty at BC Government House. It has all of the above, and it’s a wonderful way to add some colour to your day.
The tour was very good and informative.
The hours on the listing make it seem like the place is closed entirely in the weekends. The grounds are open sunrise to sunset every day. It's a great place to take a stroll on a weekend morning!
Always have fun here! Tours are great, and if you can go to one of the teas, even better!
We absolutely love the garden. Our 22 month old can feel free to roam and explore and we love the diversity and views.
Lovely place to stroll or picnic
Good place to spend a Sunday afternoon
History galore
The museum here is fantastic! I came later in the day so I didn't have much time before they closed, but it was very interesting to learn about the history of the governor's house and its brief stint as a hospital then a school. The rooms are set up in such detail with several original artifacts, each with their own story. The grounds are also very beautiful to walk around and see the exterior of the house. I loved my visit here!
(Translated) For DofE event (Original) For DofE event
A great place for a walk on a nice sunny day. Big open grounds to explore. In the spring time it is over loaded with flowers.
One of my favourite gardens in the city!
A good place to be a part of 1900s era. Staff(host) very friendly
Kids went to play in the once upon a time room...I wish they would change some of the toys out and change the set-up like they used to
Excellent!! Highly recommend the visit!
Great and relaxing place for a walk
This is Victoria's hidden secret. Beautiful flowers, lots of space for children to run & explore. Old service buildings from 1880's, you can imagine the horses & carriages using the area. There are lots of paths, huge trees, gardens galore, second only to Buchard Gardens in size, variety & awe factor.. Best of all, it is absolutely FREE to all! Best deal in Super Natural British Columbia. I am biased however as I live in the neighborhood. When visiting Government House look for Bailey the Wonderdog & his yellow frisbee. Children love his attention.
One of the best places in Victoria to go for a peaceful walk surrounded by nature's beauty.
Great historical place
Incredible property which allows you to roam outside of the residence between 9-4:30 or 'dusk til dawn.'It also has the most spectacular spot to capture the sunset on the channel.
A unique and wonderful place to visit.
History of Saskatchewan here in front of you.
Great guide. Very neat place.
Beautiful grounds open to the public. Walk all over through different landscapes. Enjoy free beautiful gardens year round. Home to the Royals when in town. My hood.
(Translated) Nice guided tour, in French. (Original) Belle visite guidée, en français.
Grounds are incredible! South facing slope for sunshine and views! This is the best place in Victoria for early spring flowers!
Visited here on a girls trip to Regina. Tour was free which was a lovely surprise. Tour was fun and informative. The person "acting" as the tour guide was fantastic and knowledgeable. We very much enjoyed this tour. We did a self guided tour of the gardens which was enjoyable as well. So glad we made this a stop here on our trip!
Beautiful grounds to meander
Cool looking building
So festive
Very beautiful place would have to come back in the summer time..
A nice surprise for its history, stories, and architecture and the summer gardens are beautiful.
Great place for a walk. Beautiful gardens.
Such a beautiful place
Wonderful place to have a picnic. Book your own basket through the Butler's Pantry at Government House! Tours are super interesting and architecture outstanding. A great way to spend the day!
Beautiful gardens for wedding photos and it’s free!
Beautiful
Very nice place to see with some ocean views. Lots of plants, trees and wildlife within the area.
One of the most beautiful place in Victoria First time for me and loved it Peaceful and quiet , with amazing view. Highly recommended for anyone who is in the area.
It’s a beautiful place. Improvements to the pathways, gardens and house are being made every year.
(Translated) Fire (Original) Агонь
Excellent tour guide. Elegant house. Worth the visit.
Great place to check out. Very nice park. Would be a great place for a picnic.
Update: The chicken coop doesn't have chickens anymore. This is a beautiful place to stop on a walk through the lovely and historic neighborhood of Rockland. Well I have been inside, it is the grounds of this place that I love the most. There is now a tea room that has limited hours. There is a chicken coop. There are several resident cats. The gardens are always lovely, but especially in the spring and summer. There are public washrooms available for use when the grounds are open during the day. Free admission to grounds.
It was pretty good. The food and service was nice, it was just a bit too fancy for my taste.
Lovely gardens
The grounds are always changing and the various different events held here have been very interesting so far. I highly recommend visiting this place and bringing your camera!
Best
Beautiful place to visit in all seasons. Great for a weekend stroll or even a picnic. Very peaceful and there are even vantage points to see the ocean. Often you will see deer roaming the grounds. They have an annual open house at New Year's that is really nice. My band has played here for Music on the Lawn in the summer and it is always a fun and well attended event. Definitely worth a visit.
anything to do with history gives me so much joy, especially North American, if you enjoy history you should visit
Love strolling through the gardens in the cool evenings. However I wish our country was less connected to the queen
A best kept secret of Victoria, BC. Beautiful grounds year round, and plenty of space for a stroll along well maintained paths and trails. Enjoy breathtaking vistas while taking in amazing vegetation and wildlife. No charge for enjoying the property, and the venue is open until dusk daily. Never crowded, and worth the time.
Volunteer staff do an excellent job! Watch out for ghosts!
Was beautiful,so many people walking around. Will be back. Relaxing... cause I need this.
I love how interesting it and how they do interactive tours or your own.
Beautiful garry oak woods, gardens, and grounds.
Beautiful grounds for taking pictures.
Historical place ????
Nice hotel
Good place to visit. Guided tours available.
Beautiful grounds to take a wander. We also tired the house which was really interesting. They had staff in each area to explain the history of each room which was really informative. There is also a lovely tearoom and display of costumes. For Canada 150 they had music in the park on Thursday nights. It was excellent on our visit.
Lovely grounds!
Cool horse drawn sleigh rides.
Very authentic and beautiful. Tours are great.
Worth to go again
Very nice grounds
Great to see our local history kept so well!
You can never go wrong choosing to spend time at government house. Immaculate gardening and great views. This place is sure to capture your heart ❤️
Wonderful grounds.
Very interesting to learn about the English presence in the history of Saskatchewan.
What a beautiful estate! The yard is lavish and the house is filled with so much history. Very neat experience visiting the Government House!
An absolutely beautiful property and official residence of the Leutenant Governor of British Columbia. Situated on a high Rocky bluff, close to downtown Victoria and the inner harbor, the 36 acre property features rare protected Garry Oak forest which was once dominant on Southern Vancouver Island. An excellent place to visit when in Victoria.
Even if it was closed for the 2020 season (we wanted to try the ice tea), it was breath taking! The gardens are so perfect and it's free. Many benches so you can enjoy the view. We felt grateful to see that beauty!
Always an absolute delight, no matter the season.
(Translated) The site of the Governor's Mansion is very well preserved, a microcosm of Canadian history. It is a must-visit attraction in Regina. (Original) 总督府旧址,保存的非常好,加拿大历史的缩影。是里贾纳游玩必到的景点。
Children's Halloween party was amazing! The magician was very good, we will attend again
Very interesting diaries available to read
The official residence of the Lieutenant Governor of BC, The gardens are free to the public and beautiful to walk in, especially when the roses are in bloom. But there are so many lovely areas to walk in this large acreage, right in the heart of Victoria. You can bring a picnic, or step into the tea room and enjoy a nice meal or just some scones and tea. We had lunch in the tea room, and be warned, it can get busy as it is a popular spot. The menu is varied with something for everyone. The staff are super helpful as the ordering system is a little strange, but definitely worth it.There is also an interpretative centre to visit.
I like mint tea as well, and the government howse was 2 ofishul
Such a great place
Lovely place, went for tea and had a great time. Visited the museum as well and loved the rich history there. Look for the haunted mirror!
A fine and well maintained historical place in the city. Plenty of parking, friendly staff over to walk you through the entire house. Staff quite knowledgeable for the objects displayed in this house.
The gardens are lovely, especially the two rose gardens, they were amazing. The tea room was nice, staff were so helpful and friendly and the food was really good. I think they are still getting themselves sorted as some little things weren't as smooth as they could have been (i.e. pots of tea but only one central source of milk) but everything was so lovely that little wrinkles don't take the edge off a great trip out. Oh also, there's still a bit of work being done to the house but most of it is clear of plastic.
The tour guide was amazing
Beautiful
Interesting place to visit if you're into politics and history.
I went for a children's event. Never underestimate how many parents will show up with their children! Was packed
Nice and fun inside, and beautiful gardens outside. It's a very fun and outstanding place with many antique features and historic sites.
This is a must see tourist attraction for history buffs!
Amazing piece of Sask history. Love it
Interesting place to be
Wonderful place to spend some time inside and out. Thank you for the history lesson.
Staff was amazing
Hi this was my first time to experience bringing in the New Year at this magnificent event. I can only imagine how great this experience will be for others on New Year’s Day 2020
Historic building with some nice museum exhibits. They sometimes have events for children like Santa coming to visit at Christmas
It was a pleasure taking this free guided tour because our guide was fantastic! She did well to explain the stories behind many of the detailed artifacts in every room. The Government House is well maintained, clean and run professionally. We didn't have time to visit the museum part this time but will definitely go back to check it out too.
Look for the map and visit all the places. The guided tour of the house is not to miss.
Overall a great place to visit! It has both historical and cultural significance in Saskatchewan's past.
Love attending the monthly teas and especially the Christmas tea. Volunteers serve the teas and are very hard working!
This was a great experince for my 9 year old. The staff were very gracious and took the time to answer all our son's questions.
Well maintained. Awesome guide
Just a magical experience visiting Government House at this very special time of year. The Christmas decorations and trees were very festive and it was an amazing afternoon for the annual holiday tea with friends. Spectacular event!!!!
Beautiful grounds and a great quiet historic sight to visit if you don’t like crowds.
Fantastic place to site see through! If you appreciate old relics, hard wood floors and history... this is the place for you! Friendly knowledgeable staff. Can browse around yourself or take a guided tour. Note: grab the mystery paper from the side room before so u can hunt properly. The pamphlet that tells you the relics to look for is helpful ???? would love to see this place decorated at Christmas time. I bet its absolutely beautiful. A joy to look around.
We visited the grounds here, a few days before the Roayls, Prince William and Kate stayed here.
It is a really good event. There are pony rides, cricket, dog trials, entertainment, free cookies and ice cream and lemonade.
Excellent tour, museum and gardens.
(Translated) Beautiful well-kept gardens. Roses and herb garden smell wonderful. (Original) Schöne gepflegte Gärten. Rosen und Kräutergarten duften wunderbar.
I went here for wedding photos it went well
2 goverminty 4 me
Very nice place to visit
Jo Anne was amazing. We learn lots. The tour was fun. She even played the piano. Would enjoy a art tour or a ghost tour. .
It took my breath away
Great museum, the once upon a time room is great for kids.
Very well organized and all together a beautiful place to visit
Beautiful place for pictures and tours
Had a great time
Super awesome spot! They are working very closely to re obtain original pieces from the home after it was used as a hospital. Pride is taken in everything done here. Even the security guards know enough to give a full tour. Even if you live in regina it's worth checking out.
Fantastic views..lovely gardens lots of space
Unbelievably lovely grounds. Open to the public to walk around from sunrise to sunset.
The once upon a time room is fantastic for toddlers and young kids
This article was very helpful Thank you
Very nicely kept good place to visit
Government house is a wonderful part of Saskatchewan history. I would encourage anyone to visit. They often put on interesting events that teach Saskatchewan history in a fun and interactive way.
Such a beautiful building, well kept and well displayed. Awesome tours and delicious tea. It's a wonderful experience to go back in time.
The Christmas event that the government house puts on every year is a christmas time highlight for me and my family. Traditional Carol's are sung and hay rides , I look forward to it every year.
Some handy parking right in front of the building. Lovely grounds with 2 nice rose gardens and some good viewpoints. The actual building is under renovation, with unsightly shipping containers and other construction stuff in evidence.
Beautiful spot. Chef was great ! You may not get fed but very nice place to visit. My 1st time in about 40 years. Do it !
Absolutely beautiful garden also its dog friendly ????
Canada Day Celebration was well done and very well attended. Parking was challenging.
The Regina Photo Club has a great exhibition of 40 photographs at Government House until January 6th, 2019. Admission is free. The Club is celebrating its 40th anniversary. Don's Photo printed the photographs and they are all beautifully rendered.
(Translated) Very good, learned a lot of interesting knowledge. (Original) 非常好,学到了很多有趣的知识。
Fun and educational
Loved it! A must see of our Saskatchewan Canadian history. The tour guide was very informative and courteous.
Fantastic experience! Our family throughly enjoyed the guided tour!
Great free museum with lots of interesting history and displays. The art displays were great.
Educating experience.
Always a beautiful area to walk.
Enjoyed every minute of it was wonderful
Amazing place
Victorian tea was nicely done.
Amazing guided tour. Our guide was super friendly and enthusiastic!
Fun tour and great tour guide! Found Jacko!
Been coming for years but didn't realise how extensive the trails and grounds were. Just beautiful to walk and great views
A garden for all seasons! Beautiful grounds.
Beautiful and lush floral arrangements and bright, sunny skies.
Great.
This is a great venue for the Chamber music society.
I recommend everyone to try the Tea at least once! Staff are very pleasant and I really like the atmosphere here.
This grandma was very lucky to attend with my grand daughter's pre school class. I enjoyed it very much , had so much fun with the kids and teachers. The staff was awesome and Government House is beautifully decorated.. Thank you so much.. Elsa Johannsen
Great staff and a beautiful place
Love the Edwardian gardens! Thank you for the tour.
The Canada day celebration was great!
If you want to look at flowers, it's not as impressive as Butchart Gardens, but hey, it's free.
Very disappointed as there was supposed to be people out there showing how to play the games and there wasnt anyone. There was supposed to be refreshment there whete juice boxes and 2 cookies. They where also supposed to be handing out treat bags and that didn't happen.
Amazing tour. Really enjoyed the historical home.
Tea at Government House was an excellent experience. The right price, good food, friendly servers. The tour guide was exceptional. I have taken visiting friends and relatives there for the tour. This tour was the most informative and fun ever. Good job Government House organizers and staff.
This place is a really nice piece of history. It looks beautiful with the Christmas decorations. They provide booklets with some information regarding some of the items within the house.
always great to walk around, bathrooms not so much.
Have not been yet . looking forward to doing that in the near future. Joan. Shaver
Beautiful gardens and surrounding, a nice place to stroll on a summer or fall day.
Nice to visit.
Cool place to checkout.
Very nice place
Has a great Canada Day celebration.
Great grounds and tours during the day
