We came on the same day at the exact same time that a middle school group was touring the museum. That was perfect for my little daughter. This mini museum has good information and some incredibly beautiful examples of handicrafts on display. There are also some lovely items in the gift shop, as well. We enjoyed it very much.

Awesome spot for native gifts and crafts. Picked up a great Haida print tie and get compliments on it all the time. Wide variety of gifts for any price range. I always make a point of stopping here when passing through. Just a few seconds away from cheap Rez gas and a bunch of dining options. Check out the museum if you have the time. Pop by their website as they sometimes have demonstrations by local craftsmen and such.

The staff at the Glooscap Heritage Centre are phenomenal! I brought a grade 10 Mi'kmaq Studies class here. The experience was exceptional and the staff brought interest, fun and education to the class with their workshops and their knowledge. I highly recommend bringing a class to the Centre. We concluded with a Smudging Ceremony - it was a beautiful conclusion to a well organized and positive day. Thank you to the staff for your kindness and for sharing your culture and knowledge! Truly! Was hoping for a more hands on immersive experience, however the centre is clean, and beautiful, the displays and narratives are educational. The staff at the time of our visit were friendly. I was expecting more local handcrafted items in the gift shop however, I did buy a few items that featured indigenous art work, one of which the proceeds help support the inquiry of missing indigenous women and girls. All in all worth visiting.
