We have been to many sailing, fishing and nautical museums but the quality and quantity of historical artifacts here topped many of the others. The guided tour was top notch as well. Don't miss this one! It's a real gem.

If you have been to a museum then the layout will be familiar. The theme is sailing and the Nova Scotia ship building heritage. Plan to spend 2+

This is one of the most fascinating places I have visited. The staff was extremely knowledgeable. The most friendly people anywhere. You can watch the tide come in and out. Being the Bay of Fundy this is a spectacular sight to see. Can not say enough about the friendly people. We went back three times in our visit.

We dropped by to see the museum and there is a lot to learn. It's location is at the right place halfway between Port Greville and Advocate Harbour. It's got a restaurant that serves really good lobster sandwich and potato salad and also has clean washrooms.

Jennifer Buck

Beautiful spot and very informative

David Travers

We really enjoyed our recent visit. This is an excellent small museum with a large collection of well displayed artifacts and models spread over three floors in the main building. There are several additional buildings with displays and a pleasant boardwalk and garden. Be sure to watch the fascinating documentary film shot in the early days of moving pictures that followed a large sailing ship on a journey from England around Cape Horn. There is some amazing footage and commentary.

Great displays for such a small community. The ship models were incredible and our volunteer guide brought the stories to life.

A great place to stop to stretch your legs. Beautiful photo ops as well.

This was an unexpected treasure. High quality exhibits with excellent curation. There is a combination of indoor and outdoor exhibits across several buildings. One of the buildings is shaped like the overturned hull of a ship. Fees are modest $5 adult $4 senior.

We have just come from several hours at the Age of Sail Museum. It is a fascinating display of early shipbuilding, blacksmithing, and the life of those associated with these trades. The site itself is beautifully developed and run by knowledgeable volunteers. We particularly enjoyed talking with Mrs. Colins who, with her husband, started the museum 25 years ago!

Jeff OByrne

Great museum full of history and the guides know a lot.

Beautiful view from the walkway!

I have two points about how great “AgeOf Sail” is. Employees very polite and helpful. The detail of all the ships and scenes were great. I am bias because my father has boats there. He loved that museum. He believed in it and enjoyed making all his ships from scratch. Keep up the great work. I know even today my father would be proud (Charles Dyas). Congratulations on a great job done by everyone involved

I could smell the wood the glue and feel the fellowship of boat builders working side by side. Just by walking through the wonderful exhibited boat models and tools of a time long past. What memories i will treasure for years to come.
