Aulavik (which means 'frozen balls') is a nice place. Great year round swimming. Excellent soft serve ice cream at the hotel. They don't use cash here, so make sure you bring valuables to barter with.

This place is a five star retreat. Great for family vacations. Great staff, great ppl. I can't wait to go back New Years Eve.

Don’t worry about the “temporarily closed” description because I went anyway and no one was there to stop me. No masks were required during the pandemic. I wouldn’t recommend to anyone looking for a tropical beach getaway because it was quite cold however I did enjoy my stay. Lodging was not available so make sure to bring a tent. Overall 5/5

I always stop here to stretch my legs while going through the northwest passage. The gift shop and snack shop are always clean and have friendly employees. My only complaint is the cheap, one-ply toilet paper in the bathroom.
