Amazing collection! The atmosphere at the museum is welcoming and warm. Big thank you to the Foundation and staff!

The sense of love and expertise at the museum is unmistakable. On my visit there, I was surrounded by both--the amalgamation of Canada's Group of Seven and other influences by Durdy was shockingly evocative, and his family's affection for him and his admirers--from personal tours to generous treats--was unforgettable. An unexpectedly warm, vibrant nook in a leafy nook of North York.

Lovely, well-furnished gallery with phenomenal pieces from Durdy Bayramov, who seems to use broad impressionist strokes to create realist masterpieces. The guide Zhenya was friendly, courteous and extremely patient throughout the visit and was generous with her time and showed an interest not only in the artworks but in her guests as well. I must admit however that the location is a bit unusual, after all it was the former home of the artist himself before his death. More strangely, however is the wonderful representation of Turkmenistan, a country so rarely spoken of. A well-curated gallery that could have great potential, but just needs a little help getting word out.

A Visit to Durdy Bayramov’s Gallery and Foundations was a highlight of our trip to Toronto. As a Turkmen I was proud to show Art works of a great Turkmen artist to my 7-year old daughter who was born in Canada. I didn’t know Durdy Bayramov personally but after viewing his paintings and photographs it felt like I knew him very well! With every piece of his work he's left a part of himself, which continues to live and inspire us. We are so grateful to Zhenya who walked us through gallery and provided detailed background information about each piece. We are looking forward to come back during our next visit to Toronto.

Durdy Bayramov was one of the most influential figures in Turkmen Art. I am very thankful for this foundation for keeping the memory of Durdy Bayramov alive.

(Translated) If you want to visit an oriental tale, then you should visit the Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation gallery in Toronto. Today, we got a lot of positive emotions and impressions by visiting the gallery. Despite the fact that outside the window is February, a bright palette of artistic genius - Durdy Bayramova gave the warm feelings of the Turkmen summer, and warmed against the Canadian winter. Love for Turkmenistan and its people is felt in every frame, in every stroke. The brush of D. Bayramov in all details conveys the beauty of a resident of our country, his cares, suffering and happy moments. Still lifes with fruits, from pomegranates to Turkmen melons, and paintings with these insanely beautiful and vibrant flowers, from scarlet poppies to daisies, will give you the most vivid impressions of the holiday and freedom. Stories lurk in the frames, and portraits depict in detail genuine feelings - that is, feelings of timid curiosity, pride, somewhere love, and somewhere care. All frames are as if alive. Keya Bayramova thank you! You have done a great job, thanks to which we have the opportunity to plunge into the world of Durdy Bayramov. Thanks also to Begench Bayramov for the wonderful tour. I advise everyone to hang this museum if you are in Canada - get a lot of impressions.

I am very impressed with the work done by Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation! I am a pianist from Turkmenistan that is trying to promote Turkmen Music in my concerts. What the Foundation is doing is amazing, I am so glad that Turkmen Art is being represented on such high level! It is good to know that I am not alone in the quest of promoting Turkmen Music and Art!

I was looking for some interesting places to go/see during a recent visit to Toronto and a friend suggested the Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation. I'm a sucker for anything floral and was told he had some beautiful still life pieces. Although I was not familiar with his work, the staff were incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. It came as no surprise that he was well known for his portraits, which were quite special to say the least. Absolutely worth the visit! If you believe "art makes you feel", you definitely want to stop by this place!

Durdy Bayramov and his excellent pieces are often neglected by a lot of people. Most people don't realize the beauty of Turkmen artwork, and I love the fact that this foundation is promoting it, that too excellently. Turkmen art needs to have its own place on the globe, and that is exactly what this foundation is aspiring to do.

Karina Marie

Amazing pieces! Staff was exceptional, and would definitely come and visit again.

The Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation adds much flavour to Toronto's arts and culture scene. Nestled comfortably in the North York region, it is easily accessible and conveniently located near the 401. I attended multiple lectures at its Bayview Avenue location this past summer and learned more about Turkmen culture and art. Representatives from the Smithsonian in Washington, along with the Textile Museum of Canada, were both in attendance and gave compelling presentations during a several week long lecture series that Scotia Bank sponsored as a part of its CONTACT program. This is one of the most unique places I have visited in the GTA and I hope it gains even more momentum and traction as it further establishes and distinguishes Toronto as a serious member of the worldwide art community. Durdy Bayramov's paintings alone, notwithstanding the Foundation's cultural programming, beckon a visit by any and all art enthusiasts who find themselves either living in or visiting Toronto. His special ability to capture interesting character traits with his celebrated portraits, in addition to the most minute details of the natural world with his landscapes and still-life works, is what most establishes his legacy as an exceptionally talented artist.

Amazing foundation. Great collection of Turkmen Art. Update: Very friendly staff. Yevgeniya gave a very informative and interesting tour of the place. Learned a lot about Durdy Bayramov’s works and life. It’s the best place to get to know Türkmen culture outside Turkmenistan. Will come here again.

I recommend visiting this art gallery. The collection of paintings by Durdy Bayramov is excellent. His paintings convey the beauty of Turkmen nature, the beauty of national women's clothing and much more. I saw many paintings in the art gallery in Ashgabat and was pleasantly surprised this kind of unique works are available in North America now.

My family and I visited the Art Foundation in the summer of 2019. What an amazing gallery! The artist's great works are showcased in the two story gallery. Yevgeniya, the art gallery manager, gave us a personal tour and talked about every piece of Durdy Bayramov's painting. The artist's paintings are about Turkmen people and their every day lives. We loved his unique style and the fact that his daughter opened this gallery to preserve his legacy is just so amazing. The gallery is definitely worth visiting!

This museum is a true gem in Toronto and I strongly recommend it to everybody interested in art. The works of this painter are very unique. I have never seen them anywhere before although I traveled a lot and I am interested in learning the culture of the places I'm visiting. The guide, Evgenia, is very knowledgeable and gave us a very informative tour.

Extraordinary work by a brilliant and gifted artist. An exhibit not to be missed. His use of colour and texture is breathtaking.

What a genuine, authentic, creative and productive artist! I recently learned about Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation through a Turkmen day event that I attended at the University of Toronto. Soon after, as an art-lover, I couldn't resist the temptation but to visit the museum. I was mesmerized by the quality, authenticity and genuineness of Durdy Bayramov's works. I was lucky enough to encounter Keya Bayramova (Durdy Bayramov's adorable daughter) and lovely Yevgeniya Kramchenkova who made my visit even more memorable through their hospitality, welcomeness and incredible knowledge about Durdy Bayramov's works. I also was lucky enough to hear some firsthand stories from Keya regarding the origination of the works and how they came into being. The renowned Turkmen artist is most famous for his detailed portraits under the influence of realism, his lively still lives and landscapes. A beautiful, spacious museum with some of the best selections of Durdy Bayramov. I recommend visiting the museum to everyone who happen to be living in or passing from Toronto.

Karan Dhakka

Learnt a lot of Turkmenistan and Turkmen people portrayed through the paintings made and pictures taken by Durdy Bayramov. The late artist’s paintings are displayed at The Durdy Bayramov Art Foundation and it is exceptional. My personal favorite was the flower oil paintings! I recommend to all to visit the art museum.

Marjorie Taghavi

An amazing Art Museum, it’s a must see.

Masumi Rankine-Rivers

His art is a beautiful appreciation of his rich life.

I had visited The Durdy Bayramov Art foundation with my friend last week and it is absolutely beautiful! I am not such a big art fan but its so interesting the way Keya Bayramov (daughter of Durdy Bayramov) has put forth an admirable attempt to complete her dad's desire and show Torontonians his work. It is worth a visit, especially those who are passionate about art.

The space is beautiful and the art of Durdy Bayramov is exquisite - the Foundation is a true hidden gem in the Toronto gallery scene. A must-visit!

This stunning artist and his great paintings did touch my soul deeply! I am still thinking (after 5 months) about his colors, poppies, fruits, fields, flowers, portraits... He did capture not just faces, but the emotions and souls of "common" people and made them special and immortal. His art is singing, dancing, moving everyone who has few moments to spare in front of his magnificent art pieces. This was the most brilliant part of my Toronto visit. I would recommend it to everyone who is passing by to meet with this great artist and his powerful work.

I have visited exhibitions worldwide and witnessed work of art of various artists. BUT, The visit to the exhibition at this museum displaying the works of Durdy Bayramov was different unlike other museums and exhibitions, somehow demanded an auto praise. The visit gave a very different feel good factor of welcome and warmth. It's not one of those run of the mill exhibitions It gave a definite feeling of the artists spirit being present there. Anybody visiting Canada MUST visit this "TEMPLE OF ART"

An incredible artist who has captured everything in the landscape and the people who inhabit it! Art elevates us by bringing a collective experience of life; how it is and how it should be; and Durdy Bayramov elevates us through his art.
