You have all the feddbacks of people like you who know the products and services of Ripley's Moving Theater (Museum) in the territory of Niagara Falls (Canada).
Nowadays the firm receives a score of 3 out of 5 and the rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that its rating is discreet, and it's founded on a large number of reviews, so we can say that the valuation is quite faithful. If many people have bothered to rate when they are satisfied with the service, it works.

Worst ride ever, and I paid money for, I'm stupid
Disclaimer: it's been about a 7 months since I went, so the review might be vague and the location may have changed. Date: ~October, 2017 (out of season) Product Quality: 2/5 Product Price: 2/5 Service: 5/5 Selection: 1/5 Service Speed: 5/5 Accuracy: 4/5 Cleanliness: 5/5 Atmosphere: Cartoony feel, something very childish about the location. Personal notes: Idea behind the place: 3d movie with moving chairs and fans to simulate actually being in the movie. Best suited for children I would assume. The product was absolutely terrible. You go in, they have a super basic movie to show you that's really not very good, the 3d effects are poor, the movements of the seats are not very significant and definitely not timed correctly. Although, I can't remember the name of the employees that were working, but they made up for the poor experience. They were so much fun, and did their best to help us enjoy this product.
Needs to be improved to make it more fun and realistic. I've been 3 or 4 times and every time it seems to get a little more dull
I expected this to be a greater experience. But it was just okay.
A great time for family and reasonably priced. Fun time!
Moving chairs had nothing to do with movies shown. So it was $40 to get jerked and tossed around randomly while watching a stupid movie.
It was fun but shorter than what I expected. Overall we had a good time
Isn't worth one star .
Showing it's age. Time for an update ripleys
OK for kids but a little overpriced for what you get..
Poor quality visuals. The seats r rough and u feel in pain after the show is over.
It's pretty much like those movie theater seats that move but not as exciting or synced the wind is cool but after a while it got pretty boring mostly for kids I'd say
Meh...after reading the reviews on Google my expectations weren't high, but it was only about $2 extra with the Ripley's museum package and we had a lot of time on our hands. One of the movies was an under the sea adventure and the other one was a Santa Claus movie, which was kind of weird for May. The ocean movie was a good concept, but the 3D wasn't great and there were no special effects aside from the moving seats. The Santa Claus one was better made, the 3D was good, and it had fake snow fall in the theatre. With today's technology, I expect more. With the cost of the show on it's own this would be a hard pass. If this is the kind of activity you're looking for individually, I would recommend the zombie movie around the corner instead. It's way more immersive. Seats move, and you shoot zombies on a screen. Again, I wouldn't pay for this as a standalone either, but it was part of the Clifton Hill Fun Pass - and it was really fun. I was pleasantly surprised.
Outdated and poor quality.
It was part of the package and I'm a first-time tourist in this area so I gave it a go. The experience was kinda underwhelming. There were two short movies showed but I wish the effects could've been improved.
The whole 4D movie thing is a gimmick. The resolution on these screens seemed particularly low.
Movement has nothing to do with the actual movies. The seats just kinda jerk randomly (annoying) Overpriced big time! Save your money lots of other things to do on Clifton hill.
We visited every attraction that stood out to us and the front of Ripley's Moving Theater says come on in. Looks amazing and had a great time. Great for all ages, kids, families and even older kids at heart.
It was one of the best experiences I’ve had with 4D except it was just missing a few elements such as real water or snow falling on you from some of the movies.
Ok but not worth the price
Underwhelming. Clearly intended for young children but even then, still a pretty clunky concept.
Terrible terrible terrible
Fun ride for kids!
The theater ride made me a little nauseous but it was still cool
Very nice ambience
Got the flex pass off of groupon so this was part of the deal. It was fun, but definitely would not go again for this ride itself. It was a fun experience to do once though! The christmas movie was cool because snow came out of the sky and it was very exhilarating.
The description on Google is incorrect The theatre is separate and across the street from Ripley's believe it or not museum. So this is a theatre where you watch two 3-D movies, Roadrunner and Angry Birds and the seats wiggle and jiggle. As in other reviews it is out of sync and you seem to move randomly rather than along with the movies. It's like watching cartoons on a bumpy bus ride. The cartoons were not really plot driven...
We really enjoyed this. We got the package for all 3 attractions (ripleys believe it or not, wax museum, and this 4d show). It was only $3 extra for this show. For 3 bucks this was a steal. It was about 15 min and a lot of fun! We saw two different shows (the pirate and the moon). We got some laughs, and felt like we were right in the action! It felt like a little taste of Disney or Universal. Glad we did it!
Boring. Close it down and make something else in its place.
Not worth the money. The screen is small. They don’t even shut the lights. Wasted $40 for nothing. Movies are also lame. DO NOT GO HERE.
(Translated) 2 short films, perfect for children. (Original) 2 films courts, parfait pour les enfants.
Had so much fun don't want to spoil the surprise check it out
Ineteresting experience. I recommend going at least once. Be prepared that some shows may spray mist to reflect what's on the screen.
(Translated) To have fun with the family (Original) Para divertirse en familia
This ride was a waste of money!! I paid for my family of nine to see it and it was the worst experience ever. After paying to see it, we waited in the second row in the waiting area, which meant that we were the second group to go in. The host even specified the seating according to what I just stated. The first row will seat on the top row, second row will seat in the second row and the third row will seat in bottom row. I really wished they followed through. They opened all the rows in the waiting area at once and everyone just rushed in and chose their own seats instead of following the host’s instructions. Therefore, we ended up seating in the bottom row. After I complained to the manager, he said he couldn’t refund my money because we sat through the whole show, which is understandable. Out of this whole situation, my problem was the manager who we tried to explain the situation to but, was being so sarcastic and not trying to understand what we were trying to explain to him. My question was “ why did they have to open all the rows in the waiting area together and not one after the other, so everyone could sit accordingly?” Not one answer and only “I’m sorry.” ...That was the worst, worst and worst thing to ever waist my money on. Please Beware!! Yvonne P.
I liked it. It was fun but not for everyone. The wife didn't like it because of motion sickness. The staff was wonderful & was able to get her off with no problem. It is quite realistic.
Pretty terrible! I don't think the movies have been updated since 1990. I suppose it would be good for a small child. But for anyone over the age of 10 don't bother wasting your money.
There is very little 4D about this ride. It needs a major retune. I have had better experiences on the motion coaster at Chuckie cheese. The mechanics didn't match up with the film and the 3D effect was subpar. My kids enjoyed it, but they don't know better. The staff we're nice. So they get 2 stars rather than 1.
I read the poor reviews ahead of time, but it was apart of the package so we gave it a try on the last day. Trust the reviews and save your money! Ripley's dropped the ball on this one. Ride is very jerky without corresponding to anything in the movie. Not a good experience and definitely not worth waiting in any type of line for. The Zombie attack, Wild West Coast inside Midway is MUCH better.
It would be great if it was a movie that has talking and a story line. The movies that where playing had no story line and when there is a character on screen they just make grunting noises.
Not bad. Not the best in its type either
Loved it
Temporary closed due to pandemic situation
Seats need padding.
Don't really get your money's worth to be quite honest.
Was super fun!
The ride itself is quite fun. We (3 kids, my wife and I) liked the motion and sensory experience the wind and water provide. Its a fun filled ride. At the end of the session, my youngest was asking if there was more. And that is where the problems resides, the ride is really too short. We've been to the best rides in this category (Star Wars ride at Disney, the Transformers ride at Universal) and since this ride is in individual pods, it is quite fun and different from those rides (not on par but fun nonetheless). It will be worth the extra $5 to do another set of 'movies'.
It was amusing. With the 4 museum deal, I found the price fair and worthwhile.
I would recommend this for a family with young kids. Otherwise, I think it’s best not to spend the money. They only show two short films that are a bit underwhelming if you set your hopes too high. I would also like to add that if you have any problems with dizziness, neck or back issues, it would be better to avoid this attraction.
its good for very little kids but for kids 9 or over there is no fun. Its very boring and very overpriced it was a waste of money and the "4D" is just a water sprayer spraying your face
Ripley's Moving theatre is my favorite motion simulator next to the simpsons ride at universal studios. The admission isn't too expensive, and the effects are amazing. You first start off by waiting in line inside the building. My only criticism is that the lines are a bit too long. But once they take you inside, it is well worth it. First you watch a pretty funny video about safety guidelines, and then they give you preview for a movie you are about to see. I think each month they give you a different ride. You also get 2 rides for the price of one. I saw the journey to the center of the earth 4D ride and bamboo express. The effects were also amazing, when there was an explosion, the whole studio set would light up, and sometimes they would spray mist and feathers at you. They even had their own fog machines and massive fans to spray air at you. Overall, I'd give it a 9/10.
It's OK, but... It is all 80's technology, so it might be fun for someone who has never tried VR. But if you have seen modern VR, it is a bit of a let down.
Probably the stupidest thing I've ever done. Ever. And I've done some stupid things. Would give negative stars if possible.
I wouldn’t mind the movement if it had anything to do with the movie, instead you just get jerked around violently. I seriously wonder if the seats move the exact same every time regardless of the movie shown. There are far better places around to waste your time and money.
Great fun experience
Fun
The ride movement was not very reflective of what was happening on screen. Also the graphics looked like they were from 2003 and you hardly noticed the 3D effect. I'm guessing the 3D graphics were made around the conception of 3D as novelty. Also, noticed the handles on the side dig in to you. You'd think they would have been padded as they are absorbing the brunt of your movements from side to side. I'm of average weight/build so I didn't mind. . If you are even slightly over average, I wouldn't go.
It was good but I wish the movies were longer.
Definitely kids only. Subpar for the price. I felt like I was being attacked by llama or spitting camel the whole time by the sprayers. The water covers your 3D glasses taking away from the already not so great ride film.
Old, like a lot of things around here. If Niagara is going to compete with great family destinations, they really need to update. Do away with the same attractions I saw in the 80’s & 90’s.
I got there very nice service.
It was alright to watch the video, but not as good as I expected. Seats are old and shakes the hell out of you
Enjoyed the experience, challenged my senses, 5D , a 3D movie with motion and wind .
Too overpriced for what tou got
The overall experience was very underwhelming in my opinion. The movies need to be updated for sure. The seats didn’t seem to be connected to the movies at all, the issue with this is now you are watching a short kids-movie and getting shook around for no reason when most kids can’t even enjoy the movies because of the height limit. Not a fan of that, neither was the woman that walked out between the 2 short films. The 3D glasses did virtually nothing to add to the experience. Most 4D movies have water or something being sprayed for effect, the most here is a slight airflow. It was quite expensive for probably 10 minutes total of video, and the quality did not make up for the price. I HIGHLY recommend the business to update at least SOME of these flaws, otherwise people will genuinely lose interest. While I understand the height limit, most children cannot go on this ride - meant for children. That honestly just seems dumb. (For genuine lack of a better term.) Would not recommend, especially during COVID-19.
Ok experience. 3D resolution on first movie wasn't great. A little overpriced for what you get. My son enjoyed it so that made it worth it for me
Not realistic at all, graphics are super glitchy, audio is out of sync, very boring. NOT WORTH THE PRICE OR TIME.
Kids enjoyed the ride, but not a lot to it other than a bunch of shaking. Also depending on where you sit you will get sprayed with mist or soaked with mist, and I believe soap or whatever they used to simulate snow.
Wasnt too exciting
We enjoyed ourselves, but the videos aren't great and the ride isn't well in sync with the movie. Neat experience though.
15 minutes of fun
It's a nice place to visit, however it's a small place, some of the exhibits seem to not have been cleaned in ages and are sticky all over. It also gets really crowded in the summer peak times.
Rather lame. The two movies are cartoons, cute but definitely geared towards children. The moving seats are cool but I was alone in the theatre and did not feel the fan on me. There are no 3D glasses. I presume because of Covid so It's not 3D, never mind 4D. They give you gloves to hold the handles on the chairs. Not worth the 10$ extra I paid to get the combo ticket with the Odditorium.
Was laughing the whole time on how terrible this ride was.
Have brought my nieces and nephews here. Although it was very busy at the time, the wait time was not out of the question for this cool experience. It was fun and the kids loved it.
2 movies for the price of 1
This place used to be great 10 and 5 years ago. The tickets give you two shows which are about 5 minutes in length each. The first one was Angry Birds and the second Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner. In both cases the movements had nothing to do with the movie. There is no first person perspective. You feel like you are watching a kids movie in 3D in a seat that is moving at random.
Would recommend. We all enjoyed it. Two 5 minute movies. We bought this as a package with Ripley's.
The kids really enjoyed it, but I found the experience a little dull and sticky.
Cool experience but a little disappointed..too short..could have been a little longer for better experience for 4D!
kids enjoyed it. not really what I expected from a 4d movie considering the chairs just move and not really to the actions on the screen. don't waste your money if you don't have kids with you.
Not that impressive. The film was boring. The seat moves around and air and "snow" confetti blows as if you're experiencing the story. It was a bit of a waste. I'd say skip this attraction as you won't be missing much.
It s 2D only..
Loved taking my niece.
Perfect travel
Was much more fun than expected! Movie is kind of childish but still fun! We got it in a buddle with the Believe it or Not and Tussaud's Wax Museum and was 3$ more to add the moving theater, I would say it was worth the 3$ but I wouldn't pay more than 5$.
It was really ok
The movement of your pod doesn't match up with the video very well. You'll experience a lot of random jerks and jostles before anything happens on screen. Also, the misters are set to "soak" and don't have any relevance based on what you're seeing.
Same movie always . Very expensive .
Was fun
Not happy with excessive shaking.
I work here but it's actually really worth it.
There was no water in the sprayers, so every time we were supposed to get spayed, we just got blasted with air. LOVED IT. Needed to dry off cause I was SO DAMP that day.
Really exciting and worth a stop
Basically you watch two short animated 3D scenes while being strapped to a moving seat. The seat's movements appear to be random, they seldom line up with what's on screen and the whole experience lasts about 5 minutes. Frankly, a pair of VR glasses and youtube do a better job than this.
Mixed review of the shows. The chairs have great mobility but aren't always well synced with the ride. The show script itself is good but the movie rendering looks to be around the 2000-2004 era and the 3D looks to be the first iteration of 3D that was done back around the same era as the rendering. They need to update this ride to keep it relevant with today's technology. Also, at the end of the show, there is a hallway where there is a black light. We stopped in there to take 2-3 pictures but there were loud air blasts that scared the kids and hurt all of our ears. Not sure if this was done on purpose by someone watching through a camera but it actually ruined our experience. Best to avoid the ride in its current state until it's updated.
All the seats are tilted to the right, wich is odd. Sound and picture arent synced, motion of the seats are random.. not really worth the money.
Very fun, friendly service
A waste if money, the 4d experience is not there.
From the pictures on the pamphlets it looked like this was sort of like a roller coaster type ride, but the ride barely moves and just kind of swivels you around in your seat. There were 2 "movies" that were no longer than 10 mins each. The 3D glasses weren't clean and had smears over them. I will admit the idea is really cool, but they should make it more of a ride if they are going to advertise it as such.
The guy working was friendly and frequently checked to make sure everyone was okay, but the ride itself was ended up giving me a headache. You’re sitting in a seat that bumped, vibrated, and moved around trying to make the lame “movie” exciting and real....it wasn’t.
Really nice experience
Literally the crappiest ride I ever paid money for. My bf and I spent 30$ to ride this and it was so terrible... I can't get over it. If you want to have fun go to the new zombie attack it's so fun compared to this.
With 4D rides, you usually don't expect much. A dumb show that's 3D, with motion to go with. Unfortunately, the only thing they delivered on was a dumb show, and even that they did poorly. Originally I wasn't going to go, but for $4 extra (if you do the 3-attraction pass), I said why not. The first show the 3D effect was done improperly, and I ended up just seeing double unless I closed an eye (first time I've ever had that). The motion wasn't synchronized, and seemed as if it was just doing a 10 second program on repeat. Even the worst D-Box adaptations couldn't touch this, and this short film was made for 4D. They sprayed mist and used fans as well, which, if all sycronized would be an immersive experience, but it was so haphazard it felt like all of my senses were being simultaneously offended. The second film got the 3D right, but that was the only improvement. The entire show I could only think about how a toddler could do a better job at programming the seat movement, which again seemed random and incoherent. Even the intro video, which was supposed to save the attendant from explaining everything, had half of the instructions wrong and the attendant then had to correct the video. Whatever was ever good about 4D, this has none of it. If it wasn't for the Ripley's name on it, I'm sure they would have gone out of business long ago. Do everyone a favor, and DO NOT go to this attraction. Don't waste you time, money, or sanity, because it will surely waste all three. The only saving grace for this experience was that the staff were relatively pleasant, if not apologetic.
Waste of money. Unsynchronized. 3D glasses dirty and not very accurate. It's so boring that I am writing this review during the ride
Two movies for the price of one. Good value.
Worst ride ever, don’t waste your money. Like a shake and bake right
What a great ride for a first timer to have a chance to take this ride with my daughter we both had the time of our lives the freedom feel of this ride will make you want a second ride. Give yourself a chance to feel the freedom of this ride you're going to love it.
The ride itself I’m not much impressed. There’s little to no story for the movie. You get shaken violently the whole time. My head and shoulder kept bumping in the seat. After a while it’s not much fun anymore. The staff were great though.
Waste of money and time stay away!!!!
This is similar to any 4D theater. It's overpriced though for what you get - 2 uninteresting short films
Just not long enough for the money its about 10 mins.
I agree with the other post. Poor quality Might have been awesome in 1990.
Was nice I was alone in the theatre
Unfortunately, the computer that runs the movie cannot keep up with the video and is extremely choppy and freezes enough that it is difficult to follow the video. We did not feel well after watching both movies. Their video system needs hardware upgrades.
I was excited until i was taken inside to see a bad colored low quality screen with hard chairs and almost none immersiveness. V disappointed. Complete waste of money
Friendly staff and clean, but not nearly as thrilling as advertised or as some of the other video rides in Clifton Hill like the zombie and wild west rides. Older equipment is to blame.
It was a bit cheesy sorry to say. Much better attractions than this ride
(Translated) I went with my partner and we hated it! From my childhood memory it was great so I won't comment on that side but as far as I can remember it is exactly the same theater as 15 years ago! The sound, picture and movement of the seats are not synchronized. The two films together are shorter than the credits that explain how to buckle up ... even if we spent the 7 minutes with our arms crossed without touching the handles so much the benches do not move! They talk about 4D but a 1.5d would have described the activity better. Owners should invest a minimum because I feel like I have 15 min!

this is a scam. Save your money for something else. the movie is so old, not exciting, theater is useless, I don't know why they are scamming ppl like that. I was disappointed and surprised such a rip off exists and no one is doing anything to shut it down.
Good place for teen age or above. Could be better.
5 years ago it was 5 Stars, yesterday it was 1. 5 years ago we saw Journey to the Center of the Earth & a Tiki Rollercoaster one and it was awesome. You were first person riding in a mine cart or a rollercoaster cart and it was great. Yesterday was horrible, the movements didn't match up to anything on the screen, it was pretty much watch a couple minute cartoon while jerking in a chair. Not worth the money.
Fun
Not the best of experiences I had in Niagara.
I came in able bodied. I came out in a wheel chair.
Just don't bother ,mostly for kids . The seats were dodgy too with lose screws . I would give this a miss super disappointing.
Wasnt a bad experience. Could have been longer of a ride though.
Do not waste your money on this attraction. I wished I had checked the reviews before wasting my money. They need to update this attraction what a dissapointment. It does not deserve any stars.
Great experience for the kids, would have been better if they had the moving chairs can be turned off and stationary, our 4yr couldn't go but would have loved the movies. Moving theatre down the street can switch seats to stationary for young or older
Horrible experience with 3d everything was blurred. horrible quality I have had many good experiences with 3d and this is worst. glasses were dirty and not cleaned until requested would not go again. Save your money for something else
Very old and dated video, I found myself just waiting for it to be over. Would not recommend, there are better attractions to waste time and money on.
Definitely a must visit place at Niagara falls. Main problem is the interior is kinda outdated and the price can be a little bit too high.
Like being dragged down a set of stairs in a Coleman Cooler, while a 5 year old flicks the lights on and off! All while wearing uncleaned greasy 3D glasses.

Great place!
The best 3d.
Just awful. All that violent shaking and bumping wasn't connected to the movies and was extremely unpleasant. Total waste of money.
