Iconic and historic area. Unfortunate the city has Highway 20 running through. Regardless, erected here is an archway dedicated to the battlefield with plaques and some local buildings preserved on the site. Local tourism should be more focused on it's historic past than a prosperous present of the casino area.

The bloodiest battle of the War of 1812, as well as the bloodiest battle fought on Canadian soil, occurred at Lundy's Lane on July 25, 1814. However, there is no battlefield there today so to speak. It is swallowed up by the city of Niagara Falls, and all that remains is some markers and a small museum.

We took the kids here on a mild night in February and it was a great way to add a bit of drama to an important history lesson and pay respect to those that fought. Laura Secord is buried here. At night the lights of the city below the hill look lovely. It has some lighting but take a flashlight.
