Debby MacDougall

Very informative boat making talk. Cool place.

This was one of the highlights of our cross-province vacation. Tony Roberts (i think that was his name) demonstrated the basics of building a punt (boat) which you will see is something he had a passion for. All while the kids had the opportunity to make there own out of wood.

Dennis Peters

Interesting displays. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Great to see them keeping this tradition alive.

Alf Birch

Wonderful. A real glimpse of Newfoundland boating heritage.

Tyrone Wheeler

Met with Tony Roberts, master boat builder, and he gave me such an informative tour. His knowledge of the history of boat building, along with his enthusiasm, makes this tour worth while. I recommend this place to anyone. Then there's the masterpiece that he has built. The best looking small punt I have ever seen Congratulations on a great successful build.

Tim Danker

I my opinion this is a must see. Very informative tour. One of the best stops we’ve made during our visit to Newfoundland.

This museum is a treasure. It's an engaging and enchanting trip into the history of the area, showing you how people built boats when it wasn't just a hobby, but the only way you would have a boat. The interpretation is engaging and kids are made very welcome. They're shown how to build a simple toy boat, which they keep. The whole experience is charming.

Dan Rogers

If you like knowing how things are made, this place is great. The workshop upstairs is the highlight

Heather Boston

The kids got to make their own boats

Anita Parkinson

So much interesting information on wooden boats. The shop upstairs where they are building a punt was a great tour.
