(Translated) Almost at the end of the road, Saint Antony is a beautiful site to visit, if you have the courage to climb the stairs above the cliff. the icebergs can be huge there. (Original) Presque au bout de la route, Saint Antony est un beau site a visiter, si on a le courage de monter les escaliers au dessus de la falaise. les iceberg peuvent y être énormes.

Small building, huge museum. I meant it - there is a LOT of information and artifacts inside what seems to be a small building. It was designed by a Time Lord! Of course the reason the town is even on the map is Sir Wilfred Grenfell, so a lot of the exhibits are about him, medicine, plus the local culture and history. If you visit this region you must visit this museum.

This has been on my bucket list for quite sometime because my mom grew up in this Orphanage. A real eye opener and tear jerker to explore the history. The guides need to be more vocal and involved and less cellphone. The gift shop had many beautiful things and the lady that served me was very friendly and helpful!

Scott Morris Rose

Surprisingly informative. Well-executed. Friendly staff. Rinky-dink tea room that suffices.

(Translated) A very complete museum that allowed us to understand the situation in Newfoundland before 1950. The shop is great and the Grenfell house too! (Original) Un musée très complet qui nous a permis de bien comprendre la situation à Terre Neuve pré 1950. La boutique est géniale et la maison Grenfell aussi!

Les Clements

Wonderful story of a doc from away and the tremendous improvement in health care he brought to this area. He left a lasting legacy that lives on today. Museum is very detailed about the locals and their harsh living conditions during this period. A great humanitarian for sure! Really nice flower garden at the entrance as well. Definitely worth a visit.

Museum with paid admissions but also a Tourist Help Desk, free Wifi, Gift Shop, Washrooms and a Tea Room. Good place to hang out before or after Whale Watching Expedition at the dock just behind the building.

Pablo P

Great museum of regional history as much as Grenwell's legacy (and giving a slightly different perspective than the national museums we saw on the island). A must see if you are in the area.

Went to the tourist bureau here and the folks were friendly and knowledgeable

Still trying to find words that described the toughness of early the people, who fished and lived on the Rock. I don't think I would have made. Hopefully the Grenfell Historical Society will keep the memories of the Drs. and his medical team alive so future generations can see how hard the struggle was year's ago.

Excellent museum based on a real hero that no Canadian school children know anything about.

Very informative, as a Canadian I knew nothing about this. A lot of reading had to be done, would have been nice to have some audio guides or something to help. The house was very cool to see, all the original artifacts, again audio guide would have supplemented the experience.
