(Translated) The museum itself was closed. But the outdoor exhibits were admirable. The railway cars are in relatively poor condition and often repaired only in a makeshift manner. I think it is difficult and time-consuming to invest the funds and time. But I would have been reluctant to pay for what was to be seen. Hard but honest opinion ...

Amazing experience. Everyone was pleasent. disinfectant stations were everywhere and Covid warnings were placed in easy viewing. Will definitely come back! Quick museum trip but lots of things to see!

Michael Hebert

Fun stop on your way to Hopewell Rocks. If you have time definitely check it out.

Pulled in to get an icecream down the hill from this museum. Had hoped to buy an icecream but that shop was closed. Took my number one dog, Jack, for a walk up the hill to check out their displays while my wife and number two dog, Shyla, stayed in the car. It was when we started to go into the first building that attendants let us know we'd have to buy a ticket, way over at the entrance, to go into any buildings. Continued to check out the various outdoor displays on our trip over. Finally, reaching my wife where she moved and parked the car, we hopped into it and drove home. It was a long day of walking and site seeing that we agreed to come back to this site some other day.

We stopped in here while vacationing and staying in the area last year. Unfortunately the Museum was closed when we visited but were still able to walk to Museum's grounds and observe the numerous trains and railroad cars. They even have a retired Air Force jet on the premise. Worth your while and sure to be a kid pleaser. Should be worth the admittance fee.

An honest last minute find. Driving from Moncton to the Fundy coast, I stumbled upon this museum. Lots of old rolling stock including a firefighting tank. Super rare, I had never seen many of these historic train sets before. There are picnic tables where you can dine next to the trains. The train station has been preserved. The museum comes recommended.

Came acorss this by accident on our drive to Hopewell Rocks. It was closed when we stopped by so I didn't get to go in but I LOVE trains so I walked around a little anyway. Awesome place! It would be 5 stars had it been open but that was my fault, not the museums. :)

My family had a wonderful time there. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable. We only went to kill time while waiting for the tide at Hopewell Rocks, but it ended up being the highlight of our trip. Unlike other museums where everything is protected by a velvet rope, you were encouraged to climb around and touch things. I highly recommend making this a stop on your trip to Hopewell.

A fabulous find on a long journey. Plenty of trains to not only look at and admire but also climb on aboard. Lots of history and interesting information plus the volunteers here have so much passion for the trains and really know their stuff. Plus they are more than happy to chat and tell you all about the exhibits. A great place to look around.

Ricardo F

Great museum! Lots, I mean LOTS of pieces, old and new throughout time. The kids loved! Not so much the dark train at the corner of one of the warehouses as it was kind of dark already and the train is black haha. Nice trains where you can see how it was back on the days. They also have the station panels where they organized which train would go where, from different generations, really nice.

Joel Gallant

While I have never taken part of the tour, we have visited the trains outside and there are so many awesome sights to see! Definitely worth the visit!

Pretty cool place to go because there is a lot of old stuff here, There is a spot with old railway switches and stuff that you can touch. A lot of things are very hands on here. Then there are trains you can enter at the entrance but the ones at the back are better because there's more variety in them and also has old disle electric engines that you can get on.

Hillsborough is an artistic farm village set halfway between Moncton and Alma. You will see a variety of cafes and shops along the way from artisans selling unique and yummy finds! The scenery is spectacular and don't forget to take in the old cars during the week that gather at various locations! Thanks to the fire department for managing this year's spectacular fireworks display!

Catherine Tait

I love Moncton New Brunswick very much I was raised in Moncton and it will always be my home

Deidre Butler

What a great find! Entry fee for one adult and a child was 6$ which is a bargain for this surprisingly extensive, hands on train museum. Our son was able to blow a horn, ring a bell, and climb into cabs of locomotives and track cars. Double headed snow plow, a Jordan spreader, a Big Hook, and several heavy weight passenger cars are all points of interest for train buffs. An HO layout inside a heavyweight baggage car was also a hit. This is a lived in train museum, not a pristine shiny one - which is the appeal when kids can climb all over the trains and enjoy. Bathrooms on site, not as clean as you’d hope.

Ron Dyck
