A sweet little train that travels along a scenic park and beautiful Lake. The conductor and the helper were extra sweet to the children that came on board, letting them ring the bell and giving them chocolates it was a fun little ride and a great way to see the beauty that Nelson has to offer. I would highly recomend this little train ride. It was fun, educational and sweet.

Always a joy. My son was obsessed with trains and the Trolley was the next best thing!!! Free for littles under 5 then just a small fee to ride all day as long as you keep your ticket!!!

Watched the holiday train here lots of people and lots of Christmas spirit. Cool spot to visit in the summer too with access to the beach. Grassy spots to sit and a loo Just another one of Nelson's beautiful sites

A fun tourist destination in Nelson. The streetcar actually went a lot faster than I had expected. The operators were also very friendly and answered all of our questions in a very sophisticated manner. The ride is an approximately 30 minutes round-trip.

(Translated) The historic street car is maintained by volunteers. These are mostly retired people who drive the street car and give a lot of explanation. The ride takes about half an hour and costs $ 3.00 at the tourist info, a coin costs $ 2.00.

Born & raised in the Kootenays, I had no idea riding the streetcar was even a “thing”! It was a lovely day when we rode from the Prestige Lakeside station through Lakeside Park and back again. I think it’s a wonderful touristy thing to do and I’m glad they’ve brought it back. A very cheap way to explore a small bit of Nelson.

If stepping back in time to a less hectic world is what you'd like to experience, this is the venue for you. Set in the lush green mountainside is historic Nelson, once destined to be the capitol city of British Columbia . It was the first city west of Winnipeg to have a streetcar system and today sees its restored streetcar # 23 back in service along Nelson's waterfront. Well worth the trip, Nelson boasts many historic venues and amenities for young and old. Take time to step back in time.
