Great exhibits that are a lot of fun for all ages. The kids were hesitant about going to a "museum" but had a blast and thought it was really cool to see everything up close. Western Development museums are great and this one is near the top of the list.

I love this place, especially in the winter months. What better way to see the history of Saskatchewan but in a vast, warm building, filled with unique displays. And it’s great for all ages too. Plenty of parking, easy to find and you can easily spend hours looking at everything. I highly recommend a visit.

Mackenzie Dutton

A great place to bring curious children and adults alike. We've been several times and it's never boring. The short line steam engine is also fun for the whole family. Definitely recommend!

Ryan Pattullo

A great place to spend family time. Our kids enjoyed going for a ride on the short line steam locomotive. There are a lot of exhibits to look at, and a lot to learn if your kids will let you take a moment to read..... ????

Huge place full of amazing historical artefacts - airplanes, float-planes, automobiles, motorcycles, snowmobiles, and a couple of huge locomotives. There's even a Snowbirds exhibit with an authentic Snowbird - Canadair CT-114 Tutor. Well worth the price admission and an afternoon.

Chris Thain

Top museum. Lots of well preserved vehicle exhibits spanning more than a century of development across Western Canada. Snapshots in time. Worth a visit or two if vintage vehicles of all types are your thing. Great staff, too, so a well rounded experience.

Angele Proulx

It was amazing I really enjoy going to museums. They had a map to follow so everyone goes the same direction so you are able to keep the 6ft distance.

Sajith Nair

We went there for the very first time. It was a great experience, my son enjoyed a lot. The place is clean and well sanitized; the staff is awesome. The lady at the front was so nice and polite. Thanks for the experience. A Saturday well spent.

Lots of transportation displays. A very large airplane and vehicle display. They had a trailer built by an man from Manchester, England in the early 1900's. Also an interesting horse invention. A great stop!

Mike Andreen

WDM's are some of my favorite places to visit. Always nice to see little tidbits of the past. Kids loved all the planes at this one.

Stranzl Family

Our family loves museums. My son loved all the vehicles at this one. Great displays. My daughter was dad we couldnt actually sit in a car or go on the train but she understands why. Overall a wonderful experience! Staff was super friendly as well.

M Flemming

Great well done museum. Kept the kids entertained with the treasure hunt.

Angèle Poirier

The best museum I have been to, WDM or otherwise. This beats the gangster museum in Las Vegas and the Clark County Museum as seen on Pawn Stars on TV. The vast array of artifacts is amazing (my favourite: the vintage bike room). They are also well-maintained. But what sets this museum apart is the curation. There are entire mini-villages set up. You can see right into a passenger train, complete with spittoon and hat box. You can tour a training base -- one of 20 in Saskatchewan which trained 33,000 aviation professionals for the British Commonwealth. You can see all stages of railway construction, right from bare prairie to grading gravel to entire towns popping up. They even built the bow of a ship, complete with anchor. Even in the middle of COVID, this was an amazing visit. Lastly, the service we received was amazing. Denise and Jan were so welcoming. James the janitor was so polite and gave us little hints about the exhibits, such as pressing the button to make the trains go. FIVE GOLD STARS! I'M A MEMBER FOR LIFE!

Chris Burgess

It's open and it's safe! Lots of room so social distancing is not a problem. It's a great place to go to get out of the house and it's heated all the way through so it's great In the winter for a scenic stroll. The exhibits are awesome and just seeing the old planes and cars is like jumping into a time machine to see into our analog past.

Sunil Maredia

Good collection of old car, plane, boats and even trains. If you are near by and need to learn more about the history of transportation in Canada then this is the place to be.

Rob W

Absolutely amazing. Great staff, well priced, clean and great exhibits. Will be back

Jonine Wessels

Very informative and interesting! My 7 year old loved seeing all the old vehicles. Gift shop is also very nice.

Melissa Andres

I remember coming here as a kid and thoroughly enjoying it. This time we went through on our way back to Swift Current. This museum is as I remember it to be. My 4 year old came along for the visit and really enjoyed the train section as she got to go into some of them. It was hard to really enjoy what the museum had to offer as it isn't really geared to children that age, despite this we still enjoyed our visit. They also have a good gift shop area as well. I did see some pamphlets for educational programs for younger children. This is a great museum for any car buffs or antique car collectors as there is lots to see in this regard.

Bailey Mari

Was a really fun morning for me and my fiance. We learned so much and really enjoyed the space!

Raman Singh

Amazing place to visit with specially really informative for kids

Gordon Edgar

Very cool. An enormous collection of planes, trains, and automobiles. It's always interesting to catch a glimpse of how the people before you lived, and it begs the question of who will look back on us

Janice Stennick

What an amazing place to see! It is a "must see" kind of place.

Tony Grichnik

Fantastic museum with many different perspectives on Saskatchewan history. Well laid out for those with disabilities. Worth making a special trip just to see it!

Cal Martin

Great Museum. My grandson was quite impressed. Lots of interesting exhibits and the provincial heritage of a lot of them is wonderful.

Todd Grant

Great displays and lots of history and artifacts!!

Adam Diehl

If you are interested in cars, trucks, trains, planes... it's a must see really. Great collection and it's looked after lovingly. I learned a lot and spent about 3 hours here. Didn't even finish! Charming staff and gift shop. The old days were truly special times.

Akshay Kumar

Awesome place to visit with family. Lots of new information. Enjoyed it. Closes at 5 so be mindful of the time.

Serena Lowry

Denise over the phone was so helpful and kind to me! She helped me get a gift card for my family this holiday season and they are going to love it! She spoke kindly and was fantastic at her customer service! Thank you!

jeff hunt

Amazing museum. Sadly I only had two hours but could have spent three times as long. Gift shop was disappointing. Not museum specific enough, very generic Saskatchewan stuff.

Brianne Christal

Loved the exhibits and the staff was excellent.

Camille Kropf

Loved it here, so much to see and worth the trip! They were great with covid guidelines and even with the extra measures the whole experience was still wonderful.

Natalie Scott

You can really feel the love the staff and volunteers put into this place! Different activities to do each time you're there keeps it exciting. The gift shop has great merchandise and it is SUPER well priced! It is a must-stop place in MJ !

Catherine Cheng

If you like to see old stuff this is a great place to visit

Christine Johnson

Amazing! It's been almost 40 years since I was here and it was so interesting to walk through and really see how time and life has changed. Staff were absolutely fantastic.

Ronald Talbott

This is a really enjoyable museum. Many historic aircraft and cars to see there. The train section is very interesting. The written descriptions of the items could be expanded with more info. Everything is so well maintained.

JC MacKenzie

Excellent collection. Most impressive that a lot of pieces aren’t “restored” but are in the condition that they were likely last used in. The restored pieces are very well done too. A very broad range of exhibits and I learned a lot about Saskatchewan. I guess it’s not just Pilsner drinking professional gopher hunters and Roughriders fans after all…

Chris Harding

Really enjoyed the museum. Lots of interesting exhibits. Well Put together. Price was good.

Barbara Nyky

I really liked it. So much information. We could go back again without paying,if we had our receipt, the next day. You could spend days in it learning lots. Maybe a history class could have all their classes in there. At the end we would know all of Sask.'s history.

Elizabeth Tan

Amazing place! Many old trains and vehicles that you don't usually see. I especially enjoyed the section on healthcare and the iron lung machine which I hadn't seen before. My elder son 5 this year had a good time looking at several …

Cory Toth

Kids enjoyed our visit. Takes 1.5 to 2 hours to view at a leisurely pace.

Chris Lachowitzer

We had a great time exploring the displays. So much history to take in.

Jewel Rittberger

What a museum! The incredible selection of different types of transportation is wonderful. They have it set up so that it flows from one area to another. The staff was so nice and the price was extremely reasonable.

Rob Seargeant

This is an awesome way to help children (of all ages) enjoy a glimpse into the history of our area. I loved watching the kids doing the scavenger hunt that took them through every exhibit area. Such a brilliant way to keep youngsters engaged.

A. Skeoch

This stop never disappoints. A few extra items from when I was a child but was everything the toddler wanted to see under one roof. It has a steam and diesel locomotives with atmosphere for the railfan, a plethora of classic and unique vehicles, telescope display, and planes from both civilian and military backgrounds over the ages. And just for fun, get see a snowbird or two with a goofy twist. Make the stop if you are passing though.
