We have all the feddbacks of people who purchase the services and products of Ontario Science Centre (Museum) in the territory close to Mississauga (Canada).
To this day the business gets a rating of 4.4 stars over 5 and this score has been based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that the average of ratings that it reaches is very good, and it is based on a large number of scores, so we can think that the score is very reliable. If people have bothered to rate when they are satisfied, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to put reviews when they are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum belongs to the category of Science museum.
The students had a great time in the NASA simulator ....enjoyed an IMAX movie and had some fun exploring the center on our way out ....The Science Center always has something new to explore
Very fun, very informative experience. A big part of the place is kid-oriented, so take that into account
Can't wait to go there again .... spend 5 hours but wasn't enough . Must do the exhibits that they change once in 6 months . Too good. Excellent for all ages especially kids
Great space for the family. A lot of the older exhibits could use some repair. But overall a wonderful place to learn and play
If you have young kids, ages 3-14, this is a great place to spend weekends or PA days. I went with my daughter and the neighbour's kids. The kids had a blast. Spent almost 4 hours on floor 4,5 and 6. Lots of things to learn and explore as you walk through each section. My favourite was the human body. If you get there on time, Imax is bonus, though you have to buy tickets to the Imax seperate from the entry ticket.
Good place to visit if you have kids
We absolutely love coming here -- our littles are 5, 3 & 2... everyone has an amazing time & with 6 levels to explore you truly can't see it all in one day! (Not that I suggest back-to-back visits... I am exhausted just thinking about that!) We especially love that we can bring our own nut-free snacks from home, there are fountains to refill our water bottles & two large areas blocked off for > 8 year olds to explore. Stroller friendly all the way & bathrooms all over the place ???????? The options at the restaurant are good -- the veggie burger is delicious! All in all a great experience. We opted to buy a membership & although the commute from Burlington/Hamilton can be a tad long sometimes, we still managed to get out 5 times this year making the membership so worth it!
Weekend
Great fun for anyone! Families with children, couples, adults, just anyone curious about science and wanting an interactive experience. It's a popular spot to visit among families with children. Children love that they can interact and play with certain aspects of the exhibits, not just look. It's a great way for them to use their sensory motor skills. The exhibits are made so well. Intrigues adults, not just children. It's also very informative so you can learn lots while you're here. Their valley restaurant is open to limited capacity and have designated dining areas.
I went to the Ontario Science Centre during free admission weekend for their 50th anniversay, and there were soooo many people. Kids were screaming everywhere, and we had to wait in line for every trials of the vehicle. There were some rude kids trying to cut in line, and since we were adults we had to wait for them to go ahead first though we came earlier than them. I should say, DO NOT COME HERE WHEN IT'S FREE. It's too noisy and crowded. It's better to pay the fee and look around the place if u really want to see it one by one. I am giving 4 stars since there were lots of interesting things to experience.
Neat knitted coral display. The planetarium portion is closed though as with other dining options. Hopefully the Science centre can return to normal soon!
Amazing place for a family. My son had an amazing time with all the exhibits. Everything was very interactive and engaging. The staff are friendly and always willing to answer some questions.

This place is literally the same from when I was a kid coming on class trip 25 years ago (just with some updated exhibits). It’s an excellent outing and a fun spot to just roam and learn. Definitely check out an IMAX movie as it’s the only true IMAX in Ontario.
The Ontario Science Centre is a location where you can escape reality, a large facility that goes a long way toward making science approachable, exciting, and enjoyable. While I was there, I learnt a lot, and everything is presented in a fun way. Staff who very patient and knowledgeable about the exhibits. It is unquestionably worthwhile to pay a visit!
Fun way to spend a rainy day. All of us enjoyed it. Lots to do for both kids and adults.
Love going with my family. My sister and I enjoyed the paper making demonstration, while my 7 year old daughter enjoyed all the hands on exhibits. The travelling exhibits keep the Science Centre feeling new and different each time.
Fun for kids and the staff seemed friendly. We waited for the planetarium for 40 min and after finally getting inside we were very disappointed to only find a small dome with very poor quality lighting to reproduce the night sky. I think a 8 year old kid in the audience knew more about astronomy then the lady presenting. The hands on exhibits were nice for children you can expect to spend about 6 hours exploring the full Science Museum.
Great for all ages! There are always lots of hands-on experiences to be had, and the exhibits change often enough to stay fresh, but stick around long enough to revisit your favourites. The Planetarium has a great show every hour. It is not possible to get bored! A little on the pricey side, but we'll worth the cost for what they offer.
Not well run during COVID. Slow with everything. Kids area is lacking in a major way too due to touching.
This is a very special gem. I can call this museum "eclectic". Exhibits are shown in a very smart and interesting way that really captures the long span attention of kids no matter the age (1 to 10 years old). It has a feeling of "montessori" approach (manipulatives as a path of learning). Very creative use of space, almost every wall is full of puzzles, facts, calls to thinking. Several experiments were just designed and built to be interactive, which is great. Very little few under maintenance or broken. Use parking lot, it's a great choice. Food is decent but not great, you can bring your own. Admission, parking and food priced right. It's hard to explore the whole museum in one day.
Amazing place . My kids enjoy the place a lot. One day is not enough to cover everything. Specially if u go for the IMAX movie same day.
My family and I love the Science Centre, and for our boys aged 7 and 9, the hands-on displays are the most engaging part of any visit. A great way to spend a couple hours to a half day with kids!
2021 December 4.5★ Despite it's name, Ontario Science Centre, this science center is more like Toronto's science center. Why? There are other science centers in Ontario... Though this might be the largest. Another good comparable is Science North - which, if n though have not been is nice too especially if you go to the Nickel mine. Ontario Science Centre is great for kids both young and old. There are both permanent exhibits and rotating exhibits. Currently, they are showcasing insects and Planet Ice - Mysteries of the Ice Ages. Both educating about their topics with a nice exhibit that's impressive. The insect one is the main showcase and you get to step into a small dome with a display of a large insect inside. Very cool. 2018 5★ Educational, good value of you have an annual membership. Would be nice to have older displays fixed more quickly.
A great place for kids to visit. We had a lot of fun and didn't have tine to visit everything in one day. I found show times limited. One show was cancelled . I wish they had put a sign up so we wouldn't have waited for no reason.

It is a great place to bring your kids, lots to learn and to do! Very busy though.
Such fun and stroller plus big kid friendly all seasons play is always a welcome place to visit and if you get a deal on price even better
I wasn’t that impressed with this place. When I read the reviews and also the input from friends was so positive and encouraging to pay a visit. The parking belongs to the museum and costs a flat rate for $10. My observation was that the museum is great in size, you feel that you are at the airport as soon you are in the museum. The place is quite out dated and most the sections aren’t supervised and there aren’t any staff nor volunteers to guide you through the different sections. You learn by either experimenting or reading the instructions. I have seen kids and parents just lost interest for exploring the museum just because of this. The most fun and knowledgeable part is when we have this session in the spherical room to discover the earth and the space. This session lasted for about 30 minutes and I the lady staff was so knowledgeable.
great for kids! although we got horribly lost on the lower level lol, it's a maze to get out.
Lots to do and see! Would recommend a full day there.
This place is a mess. I found it to be really disappointing. The exhibits seem half-baked, many are broken, and it's a mess with all of the project materials scattered around. And seriously, who thought it was a good idea to have glue guns laying around for small kids to grab? "Caution hot" doesn't help if they can't read. I was right there and still couldn't stop my son's grabby hands until it was too late. The IMAX was nice but really loud (as they tend to be) so kids with loud noise sensitivities can't tolerate it. I was super bored as it's definitely oriented towards 4 year-olds, but even my 4 year old got bored fast. I heard really great things about this place and am really disappointed. The only bonus is there is a lot of space so it wasn't crowded.
Great place to learn and have some fun while doing it. The Ontario Science Centre is the kind of science center I wish I had grown up next to when I was younger. Many of the displays and their interactive experiences are geared for the younger generations. On my visit the place was packed with what seemed like an entire elementary school body. Their boisterous, rambunxious, energy rubbed off on me and I enjoyed interactive elements as much as they did. For me I needed more than just the sensorial interactions to hold my attention. I yearn to know why things are they way they are. Thankfully everything had ample information cards, boards, charts, graphs etc. that helped make the connection between what I was seeing or experiencing and how it all worked scientifically. The science center is huge. It’s composed of 6 levels of which the main exhibits seemed to be on levels 3, 4, and 6. As is my usual error in museums or learning centers, I spend too much time with my first two exhibits and thus have to rush through the rest. If you don’t have hours upon hours to spend plan out exactly what you will go see. Here are some things that I enjoyed the most: 1) The planetarium. Space, it fascinates me like few other topics. Though you will see many things that you would expect in a planetarium (amazing pictures from hubble, some meteor rocks, diagrams of the solar system, etc.) the thing that set this planetarium apart from others I have been to was their frictionless game, where you sit in a chair and have to maneuver the chair using air bursts (similar to what astronauts do to maneuver a spacecraft in a weightless environment). This was a blast and far more difficult than I thought it would be. Try it out, see how well you do! 2) The Mount Everest climbing experience. Not only do you learn about the challenges, dangers, and hazards of climbing Everest, but based on your interaction with the exhibit, your decisions, and abilities you find out if you would succeed in conquering the mountain or if the mountain conquered you. I did far worse than I thought I would. 3) The Human Edge, had multiple bits of information about the human body. At first glance I didn’t think this section would hold my attention very long. Well two hours later, where did the time go? I highly recommend the dome that simulates the experience of free swimming deep ocean divers. Some of the other section were really interesting and again the science curators have done an excellent job at making science real and relatable through interactive experiences. My experience was a little hampered by the plethora of youth running around, some yelling, some ignoring lines, and bumping into me, but if you catch the science centre on a calm day expect to spend hours there and be mentally overloaded with wonderful information. There are cafeterias on site so don’t worry about food. A little pricey, but we all know that’s the case at “tourist” sites. Enjoy.

I was first time, so excited! I spent time for 4 hours, but I need time more! It was not enough...
Amazing experience! My sons loved it! In house scientists are warm and welcoming. ????????✅
Staff is really amazing... they have car charging station available as well. Imax theatre is not bad. I was hoping for little bit more exciting but good for one time...
Huge building with 6 levels. Lots to see!!! Fun and also educational for all ages. Highly recommend for family!
It was ok, few of the exhibits were closed with no prior mention. The kids were disappointed because the planetarium was closed, other than that they had a good time.
Great family-friendly place to interact with science and technology. Currently there are some exhibits undergoing updates. The imax was fantastic as well as the popup exhibit. Staff are knowledgeable and demonstrate interesting science experiments.
Great spot for kids of all ages, as young as toddlers! It is very hands on and interactive. I learned a lot while I was there and everything is presented in interesting ways. I forgot how big the place is with 6 floors! Parking is easy and not too expensive. Tickets are reasonable especially if you search online for discount coupons. We'll be back!
Public holiday
Wonderful place for all ages, with multiple shows during the day for its various exhibits. I ended up spending most of the day on just 2 levels, levels 4 and 6. There is so much to see and read. Good way to spend a day, if you can afford the time. The location, with the walk down the ravine is an added plus.
Bring you children here often, they need it. Staff and facilities are always top notch. You kids will not be bored here.
Always a great time coming to ontario science center, i came here with my cousins and her children. This place always teaches me something new :) Not only do your kids get to learn new things but so do you!
Really nice place to go if you like science. A lot of science experiments to play around. Especial attractions for kids.
Never too old to visit, share good times with family and teach the next gen. We are never too old to learn from our past and pave our way to a better future.
The science centre is about 11 kilometres (6.8 mi) northeast of downtown. The Centre has several hundred interactive and passive exhibits, featuring geology, the science of nature (in the west wing), astronomical science, how to play music and technology in the south wing, human anatomy, communication and bias, and some miscellaneous artifacts of science.
It was Extremely interesting for everyone in our family from 2 to 50 years old. Imax was not, but the exhibition itself was just amazing. During the COVID-19 some areas were closed, however the majority were available. We spent all day and we are planning to come again soon
Nice they limited people it wasn't crowded since it's weekdays. Imax was nice we watched "superdog" my kid was little scared at the beginning but it was good to watch til the end. I found maps didn't really indicate details of each phrase so I was little confused. Not too big but not too small either nice to hang out. Cafeteria was open for limit of seats. They have Timmy's with coffees, sandwich, pizza pizza.
A great family attraction. The staff is amazing. They will do anything for their guests.
An amazing place to go for kids and even adults. Safety protocols for covid are perfect. Many things to discover and play. My son has had an awesome experiment with hair raising science. I also want to shout out to the 2 ladies staff at the entrance who helped us to refill the water bottle at the last-minute closing time and my son didn't want to go back the whole way down to the water refill fountain. They could have ignored us but they didn't. My heart is touched by their kindness! Thank you again!
The whole of level 4, where Kidspark and Space are located, is closed, and there's currently no display at the entryway of level 2, the restaurants are also closed, so they should really allow people to eat their own food in the restaurant area. All the rest seems normal like before it closed due to the pandemic.
Awesome place! I went with my daughter and wife and we did a bunch of activities there. We went to the IMAX theatre to see the Panda movie. After that we went straight to the floors where there was some activity to my daughter. She played in the mini market and also build some nice stuff. This is a place where you can spend the day easily.
The museum was very interesting, local parking at a reasonable price was good. Some experiments were under maintenance, that's why I'm giving a 4 stars rate.
A really great place to visit with the kids. It's going to take ~5 hours if you want to enjoy all the exhibits. Parking is limited so book early slots. Also bring a loonie for the locker.
We are still having fun here at KidSpark at #OSC 2 hrs after an amazing birthday party for our 6 year old daughter led by Alison and Kat. Their very cool tricks, positive energy and support made this Chemistry party an great event. Lots of new findings even for adults ;)
What you'd expect with typical science activities and exhibits, but overall a little boring and bare especially with COVID. Had lots of interactive exhibits but I don't think I took any photos because it was so uneventful. They have a nice "resting" area outside with a wooden slide and chairs etc that you can walk around. It's a bit confusing to get around the floors and everyone seemed confused about where to go for the exit at closing time. Used the CityPass. Nothing else to do in the area, which was a downside. More entertaining for kids maybe. Wouldn't return.
Amazing place to explore science and to know how things work in real. A must go place for kids to old age. Througholly enjoyed the place and visiting again soon as we could not finish exploring everything. It also has an omnimax theatre which is only one of its kind in Canada.
It was a pretty cool science center with a lot of exciting experiments. I think it would be an excellent trip for children and even adults with a young heart and a knack for science!
Great place for the whole family to spend a few hours. The whole centre can be seen in a few visits if you want to truly take in what it has to offer, the membership is well worth it. Interactive learning for the kids as well as for adults who are interested in anything to do with how things operate.
Very informative and nice place for complete day and huge place… planetarium is not open along with imax Very few presentations are open Taking membership will really help…when we visit this we should consider this as a science center..
Amazing place for all ages. They have a lot of interesting and interactive displays that's perfect for visitors of all ages. The staff are very approachable and helpful. There are a lot of drinking fountains, benches, vending machines, and a good quality eatery inside as well. There are also several kid-friendly sections where your young explorers can learn and have fun. They have scheduled shows and short imax movies. You may want to check the schedules especially with the planetarium because of its limited spaces (around 50 people at a time), and the imax shows since there are different ones per slot. Parking is relatively easy though expect a bit of a traffic especially during the center's closing hours. Amazing place, nurturing young curious minds.
Great place. Clean. Lots of variety. You kind of get the feeling that this place had lots of funding 10 years ago but not so much anymore. Many other reviewers are saying that it's dated, but I have seen worse. The place is bigger than my love for Jessica Alba. I really liked the outdoor area, and the kids play areas. Note that there are two of them! be prepared to pay $10 for parking. It did seem to get a little spooky as you descend further and further down. Most of the lights are turned off down there too.
Our children enjoy a day at the Science Centre as much as I did as a child. An annual membership is definitely the best value if you go more than once. And the reciprocal admission to 100s of other museums and science centres make it an absolute steal.
Great place for family to visit. It has activities for kids and adults alike. It gets busy though during weekends.
Such a fun and interactive experience! Lots of exhibits and a lot of walking! Definitely spend the whole day there because there's so much to see!
Expand your knowledge. Cool stuff to discover for kids and adults alike.
The Ontario Science Centre holds a very special place in my heart. I’ve been here countless times over my 26 or so years on this planet. I hope to go many more times.
Brilliant place. Great for young kids. The entire place is created with children in mind. Even then elders will equally enjoy being here. The ambience is conducive for learning and the shows are brilliant. It is a huge place, so in order to explore it completely, a full day is a must at the minimum.
Woah, amazing place. So many fun activities and a zoo! Awesome upclose and fun activities, and the building is built into the mountains, which amazed me alone. Amazing view of the lake, would recommend for all ages.
Really meant for kids, not much fun for adults. The space exhibit was closed. Many displays were broken. Not enough details on displays for me to want to look up in more detail the scientific phenomenon being displayed. It was Meh.
Not as interactive as I remember some 30 odd years ago, but still very informative. Now I know how much snot I produce in a day. ????????
Lots to do, very interactive. Must purchase day passes.
Always a pleasure visiting the science center. Certain things still aren't open but it was a good time regardless. Good thing to do indoors when the weather isn't so good. But also a great place for adults with some pretty interesting exhibits and full of all sorts of different information and knowledge. Will return of course. We were there for 5 hours and it seemed like at most 2. Loved it.
Great value experience for the whole family. I recommend checking out one of their IMAX films when you're there!
Had a blast here yesterday on a date! Even though it’s mostly for kids, adults can still have a fun time too! Lots of activities and games for all to enjoy. I would recommend seeing an imax film while your here. Best experience in my opinion if you haven’t already. Could spend the whole day here easily with family and friends where it can be filled with fun and actioned packed events here at the science center!

We have a one year membership this year - lots to do and gives us the time to explore it all. It's a very busy venue on the weekends, so I suggest coming in as they open. Worth paying for a locker, so bring change! Plenty of activities for children, but I would recommend 3+ for the exhibits and most activities. They do have a play center for kids, that includes one more geared for infants/toddlers, but it can be a long day and that is something you should think about. We brought in our own snacks, etc and there were no problems with that. The IMAX theatre is impressive, but can be too much for younger kids.
Wonderful museum. We were there during a special exhibit on robotics. Their show was entertaining and educational as well. Fun place to take the family
Very fun place. It's a bit far from downtown Toronto but it's not difficult to get there. Just take a bus or two and you'll get to the science center in about 40 minutes. Worth seeing! I recommend you get a city pass (88 CAD for adults plus tax - as of June 2018) so that you can check this attraction out and 4 more.
Very cool. The kids loved it. We didn't have enough time to see everything
Such a remarkable place. I grew up going here, and now bring my small kids. Lots to.learn, see, touch and do, and all very well organized esp. in coronavirus times. 100% worth a visit!
Timed tickets, COVID masks required and enforced with hand sanitizers everywhere. Also good tidbits of info on how hand cleaning and sanitizers help kill germs at hand cleaning stations and washrooms. Volunteers were helpful. Kids loved …
Ontario Science Centre is a place where you can find yourself somewhere out of the real world, spacious facility that goes a long way to making science approachable, inspiring and fun. The colourful displays are amazing. Every corner is informative and interesting. I highly recommend everyone to visit this centre.
Fantastic museum with more to do than can be done. We even had a lot of fun outside doing a cell phone sponsored VR experience. The museum covers a lot of ground and has good kid friendly touchable exhibits that are in pretty good condition. it's also fun that it's under ground and you work you're way up. They have an IMAX, but we didn't do it. There was plenty to do in the museum without the add-on experience. They also have very reasonable entry fees.
Kid friendly definitely not sure how many adulta would throughly enjoy it although there is something foe them too.
10000/10! i used to go here so much as a child and i have to say, my best memories were at this place. overall, would definitely recommend it!
Went there with my kids, they just loved the place. We did not have enough time to explore all the sections.
Many things are closed (Im assuming due to COVID) I wish they advertised this on the website as they are still charging full price for half of the fun. As for the interactive exhibits that are open many don't work as they should:-/
A poor representation of science and technology. Old, worn out, boring displays. Nothing works, including the escalators and purell stations lol. So far from world class, kind of embarrassing. Needs a major overhaul. They are hiring a new CEO so hopefully that will help.
Great space for kids to learn something new and have fun.
Its great to have all those memories and visit in the science centre is a kid and to bring my own there now. It would be great if their hours for open a little bit later as they close at about 5 p.m. which ends up putting a departure time in the middle of rush-hour. The exhibits themselves are very good. there are a lot of chances for people to interact with different exhibits and get that tactile experience. Thank you for the great memories ????
Very fun experience for my 3 years old daughter she loved it
I bring my niece here every year for her birthday! I've been going here since I was in kindergarten. Great for all ages as everyvisit you learn something new! Definitely check online for special events!
Showing its age. Doesn't seem like much has changed since I was there as a young lad some 15 years ago
Such a cool place to learn about famous scientists, new inventions, old inventions that made history, and fun facts. I personally loved the hands-on activities and virtual reality. Definitely worth the visit, there's always something new to be learned.
There's a lot of interaction with the exhibits and they all feel very dirty, it seems fun for kids but as an adult you might not enjoy it as much
Recently went to the science Center during covid phase 3. It was at reduced capacity and online timed ticket purchasing. We wanted to take the kids out and we hadn’t been to the science centre since we were kids. We got the imax tickets which was the most enjoyable part of the experience. We had to obviously wear masks for the day and it was fine as the place is well ventilated. The reason for the three stars is when we went, the kids area/ space area was closed and yes I knew before we went as it’s clear on the website but from what’s left it was just ok of an experience. I’m happy we went the kids had a good afternoon I just wouldn’t go again and again. There was lots of white lab coat people to help guide you around, sanitization stations around especially in any high touch area and ample space to stay socially distance. Important to note we went during the week on a Thursday and we went at 12 just as soon as it opened.
Really interesting place. You want to do a family activity with children of different ages? Say no more! They have a lot of activities for children and all the family learn a lot while having fun. I will definitely go back again.
for kids, organized well. a bit outdated but lots to see and do in terms of interactive activities
Want your kids to learn and have fun at the same time? This is perfect place. My daughter loved it and enjoys coming here.
Not as I expected, most exhibits were for younger children and just not up to the excitement we were already having throughout the day. If you have younger children who love to explore and learn and have fun at the same time, totally recommend here!
Have enjoyed this place since I was a kid. So much to see and do. The Popnology exhibition was very cool.
Ooh i love this place. My 4 year old wants to come here everyday lol. Lot of stuff to learn for young kids and adults and i find it really amusing. Parking is $10 flat. Would love to visit again.
Very good place to take kids there for weekends. They have different programs every month.
Could not remember the last time I was here, but we had a blast! Staff was super super nice, polite and helpful. You need at least 3+ hours to see everything at a good pace. Omnimax film was super cool, girls had a great time for their first movie Super Dogs!!! Food was surprisingly reasonably priced I was expecting to get gouged for food. Lockers when needed ( bring a loonie ) and it was WAY bigger than I thought. Be ready for stairs and escalators parents. We are for sure going back maybe a weekday as it was busy busy.
Good place to stay all day long. Specially the movie was fantastic. It deserves enough enjoyable.
Clean, educational, enjoyable experience for all ages. Took my 2 year old and she had a blast. Make sure to grab tickets for kidspark when you enter (free) so you secure a spot. Your kid will thank you, this area is so thoughtfully designed. Love the market and farm. I feel like I need to go a few more times to really take in each exhibit and get to enjoy each aspect. Because there is a lot to see. Cafeteria and washrooms are clean. Would love to come back again, was nice revisiting after more than 10 years! Pic is from Rainforest, this was my favorite part then and now.
Great place to take the children, full of activities with knowledge. City pass is cheaper way to get access. Bit far from downtown, so plan your trip well if using taxi.
We couldn't find all the exhibitions the place is very hard to navigate internal and there are no signs that help you. You have no idea what is available to see.. once you pass the first one.. you just have to look around for rooms with exhibitions, there is "route" or contextual progression between the displays.

Great place to take the kids. If you live close by a season passes definitely worth it!
Very nice place
Fun place. Not all the activities are great but kids can enjoy and run around. Gives lot of chances for parents to engage kids in learning. Planetary membership good for 2 adults and kids. Gives 2 parking passes as well. Nice deal. Probably will visit here 2-3 times a year
It was good but it could be so much better. It feels quite old and like it needs some updating. My son loved it so it's still worth the trip but compared to science centers elsewhere it definitely comes up short.
Lots to see and explore. Kids love the IMax theatre. My autistic 2 year old kept quiet for 90,% of the show. Masking and distancing protocols good.
Nice place for a day out with kids.
Awesome fun educational entertaining place. If you have kids then you have to watch out this place. Has lot of fun educational science and environmental things top do. IMAX shows are the best here. Just watch out with timings. Make sure you give one whole day for this place. You will be needing one whole day to see everything here. Do not miss the planetarium here. There is always constant science events for kids here.
Man this place is awesome! if you want smart kids, take them here and get a membership! Worth every penny and every minute. Not to mention they are one of the last remaining places in Toronto with a planetarium.
Nice place for kids and adults as well, very educational. Clean and very safe place. Staffs are very corteous and friendly.
It's been a while since ????☺ my friends have been here, hope the rainforest section is more wild ????
One of the best science museum I have gone to. The exhibits are interactive and educational, they present the science in lots of common things we see in the world. The exhibits are interesting for both adults and children. I highly recommend the plantarium, it is highly educational to learn on how to locate major constellations. The whole science museum is built in a valley, so you progress to the bottom of the valley as you progress through the museum.
Great place for kids to run around and explore things.
The kids love it. Always something to see or do..
Our entire family recommends the Ontario Science Centre to anyone visiting or living here. The exhibits and activities available are a wonder! The staff is loving and creative, warming and supportive. We've always had fun with everything inside and we learnt every time we visited it. Our children are lost in the fun they have! The architecture is very interesting also. I've never seen a design like that, in levels going underground so low and having such an interesting connection with nature. It has everything for everybody, for any kind of interests and we also had the opportunity to see unique exhibition The Whimsical World of Rowland Emett. We discover every time new things, people we never knew existed, inventions, creations and all. We can explore, test, experiment. It's heaven, if I may say, for explorers and curious scientists, children and adults attracted to science, inventions, explorations. For my children it's been one of the most amazing places we could have ever been. Much gratitude to the dedicated staff and all those who support the centre and make it all happen. Thank you for your hard work and passion!
What a fantastic experience with children. My children were exhausted after today's experience not negatively though, there was so much to do!!!!! We weren't done when the announcement came that doors would be closing on 10 minutes! I'll definitely be returning to complete the tour!
Simply love this space for learning and spending time with the family.
I’ve gone a few times to this amazing place. There are so many interesting things to do, those science is load of fun. Love the future machine that show how I’m going to look like in my age of 80. Also love a remarkable event about Harry Potter.
Really interesting place, great for all ages, could easily spend hours there
So much science. Great for kids and all to just be inspired and adults can be amazed too. Planetarium is a must go
You'll definitely need to spent the day here. Great stuff for kids and adults. Don't use the drinks machine though, it stole my money and left me thirsty ????????
Love it. This is a very big place great for kids of all ages. I recommend planning on being there at the very least half day. When your there check out the exhibit on space it's our favorite
A place for the whole family. There is something to do for both kids and adults. Lots to learn and very family/ child friendly environment. Something to sit on everywhere, washrooms and water station in every corner. Big enough for whole full day and the mini shows are interesting. If you want a day out, this is the place to go. Even their foodcourt has noce options for food. Worth visiting at least once with family, friends or a date!
Amazing! Since it's architecture until it's devices, collections, ... Spend a lot of time at the Scince Center! Very interactive!!
Popular interactive exhibits on science & technology. Place was nice. Great experience.
Awesome place for children and adults. Great deal of attention paid to details of various sections of the centre. Kudos to the team behind this
Had such a great time here a few weeks ago! Very sentimental and just as great as when I was a kid. Will definitely be returning with my nephew ???? ????
Great place to revisit as an adult. All the exibits are not open yet nor all the food venues. Would have given five stars if not for an unpleasant experience on the toilet. Let's just say as a older man if the auto flush goes off expect your lower parts to take a unpleasant dunk in the water. Please fix this science center!
Awesome place for kids.
A great place to spend your day with the kids. They will love all the exhibits. You should see the Sun/earth exhibit. Awesome work!
Age group 1-99, so much fun and great displays and things to do. Try or out you will not be disappointed
Lot's of things to do in there. I love these activities .Very interesting facts. Best time to visite early Moring as less crowded. Make sure you have 4 hours to spend their as there are soo many things to do.Imax movie was worth spending . Don't think of extra dollars .just buy the movie ticket . Good for kids .but adults also have chance to learn and enjoy .
Great for kids and adults alike. Several floors of mind enriching and interactive science and educational activities. Wish I could come more often. A must see if in Toronto, especially with young children!
Entrance of around $22/head for adults. Free for 2 and under (if i remember it right). Parking of $12. Great place to bring the kid/s. My 2.5y.o. loved the kidspark. I feel like he could have stayed there the whole day if we didn't have something planned in the afternoon. Will definitely recommend this place especially for the kiddos.
Nice museum. Some places are a bit old but it is agreat experience and kids love it. There was a nice exhibition of technology that was really amazing. A nice place to visit in Toronto
So much fun. The kids just love it. It's super interactive for kids they can learn by playing and discovering.
Amazing exhibits, helpful staff. A good time had by the kids on the school trip
It is fun for children to learn and have fun but bit overpriced $28 per adult $19 for kids for movie and visit
Good knowledge for kids.. so much to explore . Well maintained. Hands on activities wonderful.. kids age 10 + will understand and enjoy more
I would if given it 5 stars but the planetarium floor is closed. We were looking forward to that section. The imax theater is a must see if you go. We watched superhero dogs and it was a great family film
It was a great experience for the kids. Imax was really worth it.
Not as jam packed as I remember from when I was young, but still a great time with lots to do with kids. The new Kids Spark section was a blast for my son and remember to get tickets to be allowed into it.
Take a full day. Science games for kids as well as adult. Artificial Tropical environment is created. Food inside is decent too.
Huge space and the exhibits are quite interactive for both children and adults. Their IMAX theatre is pretty good as well. Some parts are a bit outdated, however it is a big space and you can easily spend at least a couple of hours in here
You can spend your while day here by doing so many interesting activities. The 360 sphere movie theather is the most thrilling experience here. I loved it.
The kids really enjoyed it. Very interesting exhibitions and lots of activities for the kids
Had a group of cadets attend a team building training session in the Challenger Centre, mission to Mars. Great experience! The centre can alter the scenario to different age groups.
Great crafts and activities for children. Children can put science questions on coaster. Made a dodecahedron with popsicle sticks.
Important to note we went during the week on a Thursday and we went at 12 just as soon as it opened.
amazing place to bring your family for a wonderful experience. pretty busy on weekends (not sure after lockdown what traffic is like) but prior to covid it was pretty busy
Great experience for young and curious humans of GTA like my kids. There is less touch experiences now due to pandemic but it’s still a great place to go.
Nice place specially for kids and families, it has a lot of activities that implements the scientific methods that is easy for kids to understand, and some interactive experiences and it's disadvantages is sometimes it's crowded. But in general not bad for outing specially in winter.
Great place with a wide variety of opportunities for creative learning and thought. It's also a great place for kids. Membership from Science World (Vancouver) is accepted here through the reciprocal admission program.
Great place for kids... Gets really crowded and the parking situation is a bit of a nightmare. Wish there was more hand sanitizing station around since kids do touch EVERYTHING. Exhibitions were fantastics and interesting.
You will learn so many things at this fantastic museum!
Absolutely in love with this museum. It's geared towards children but, as a first time visitor, I still managed to spend a lot of time there just exploring what it had to offer.
Took my toddler to the Science Centre over the holidays and we had a fantastic time. She absolutely loved the different and essentially KidSpark. Most importantly, was very impressed with the Science Centre's health and safety protocols. Tons of sanitizer stations throughout, gentle and friendly reminders to keep the kiddos masked up, and families generally respected mask wearing and social distancing. Went from about 11:00 - 3:00 p.m. and it was definitely far more quieter early on. Would definitely recommend for a fun and safe experience.
Went on Aug 13 2021 with my 9yo. It was fun but I was actually quite disappointed in our first trip back post-covid lockdowns. I was expecting more safety protocols. For example, I noticed one employee cleaning one area at one point during our 4 hour visit. Many guests were wearing masks improperly, and for a venue that welcomes many unvaccinated children, this is not ok. I wish staff would take a harder stance on this. As well, I had understood that many exhibits were adjusted for foot pedals instead of touching with hands. I did notice a couple, but for the most part it was still hand operated activities, as well as many activities closed. Finally, we were disappointed in the number of exhibits that were simply broken. There were an incredible number of buttons that just didn't work. I would have expected that a 17 month closure to the public would have provided an excellent time to fix these things. I'm not sure if and when we will make use of our membership again, as our experience was more stressful and uncomfortable than fun.
The Omnivax experience is certainly unique. The expositions are okay but not mind blowing and worthy of a return trip. Considering that the science center is in Canada's most important city, one would think that the center would have a more robust and interesting collection.
Absolutely full of interesting and interactive exhibits. Great for anyone who is into science and looking for a fun way to spend the afternoon. The planetarium shows are a must see!
Great place to take the kids and family to learn alot about science and explore current and past science projects.
Good place for all ages. There is a separate section for younger kids of 5-6 years and less called as Kidspark. Fun place to take your kids for a day. Kids get fascinated and have a good time. There is also a cafeteria. Restrooms are at every corner and well kept. You might have to go multiple times to cover all the sections.
This place is awesome! The staff are friendly and helpful. They seem to really love working there. The exhibits change from time to time, but they're hands on so that helps for hands on learners. They cover a vast amount of science related topics, so there is definitely something for everyone. The seats in the movie theater are the only down side. I have a back conditon and poor circulation so I had trouble getting out of the seat due to how low to the ground they are. It doesn't feel like these seats have enough leg room either as I felt cramped during the show. This shocks me since I am not a very tall person (5ft 3). Regardless of this, my family had a blast. We brought our 13 year old homeschooled daughter with us and she loved it too. Will definitely do it again!! Just a heads up, you need to reserve your time to ensure you'll get in. It was pretty quiet when we went on a Thursday early afternoon.
This a beautiful place, interesting architecture, perfect for families and kids. Nice and healthy environment. Plenty activities options. Nice staff. Highly recommended

It gets stale very quick unlike the ROM.
Lots of fun learning opportunities for the whole family. Engaging activities for children and cool exhibits for adults.
The Science center was very fun and interesting. The people there were nice, and the exhibits were cool. IMAX movies were also very entertaining. Will go again.
It is great for first time and one of it's kind in Toronto, but not necessarily best science center generally speaking. It just feels incomplete and exhibits generally need batter organization and cover more science faculties. IMAX is good and upto the standards expected.
My kids love it.and it's an educational place...
Kids loved it. I haven't been in 30 years. The IMax is a must. Definitely too much to do in 1 trip. KidSpark is awesome for the youngins
Many interesting areas have been closed so far. Accessable areas are limited. Suggest- delay the visit plan. But, ????because we’re memberships that expire at the beginning of 2021 have been extended. So I bought child come again. And I took the picture about “the death of the sun.”for every one!???? New space has been added here, and the production is quite exquisite, which is very worth watching with children! The life patterns of insects that have been magnified dozens of times are really special.
Good fun place for the kids. Lot to explore and learn. Was enough parking for a weekday. The restaurant needs improvement as well as the cleanliness needs to be maintained around the restaurant seating space.
Good place but pretty old with the exhibits. However, the IMAX was worth it
Great for kids - engaging activities and cool exhibits. Loved going as a child.
A great family outing for all ages with Lots of fun interactive activities to explore. Admission rates were reasonable for a family of four to visit. We opted to get the yearly membership bc it also includes reciprocal membership to other science centres including London’s childrens museum and muskoka discovery Center (and so many more). You’ll need at least 3+ hours to explore everything. Outside food is allowed and they have water bottle refill stations throughout. Currently there is a big exhibit which was a big hit with my kids.
Amazing museum! I suggest going in the morning to avoid children ;-)
There are so many different kinds of sciences now, I'm not even sure which ones are actually scientific, but whatever they are his museum has it. While I am not a huge fan of science I was still able to find stuff to interest me, and there is lots of exhibits and cool stuff. Also a lot of the things were hands on so you really get to get in there and see how everything works
This Science Centre is definitely one of the biggest if not the biggest one we have in Canada. Our son spent three hours here and only managed to see one part of the centre. Kids can definitely spend an entire day exploring the centre.
This is the place to go with kids ! Real Edutainment, with fun for all ages. You need to plan around 3 hours + to get full experience. Electric show was blast!
Amazing place - could spend a full day here! Good for all ages with different exhibitions throughout the year. Planetarium is cool and IMAX theatre. A few options for food including Tim Hortons in the lobby. Can get a bit hectic on the weekends, great during the week. Definitely worth a visit!
Limited activities though, great time with teen. Show your creative arts and need more 2~3hours
Great place to spend the day with the family. You will definitely will leave having learnt something new.
Definitely need to give yourself at least three hours if you want to get the full experience. Don't forget to get a map of this place whether from online or somewhere at the Science Centre as you don't want to miss anything like we did.
Amazing place for kids and adults....making science fun and interesting. Can be busy during PA days, but still worth the trip. Kids Zone is a favorite, as well as the walk through jungle enclosure.
We had such a good time here, we took our 3 and 1.5 yr old kids and there was so much for them to do and discover. It was a great day. Totally thinking about getting a membership!
Looks relatively old and small compared to ROM. But the insect section really blew me away.
Visited IMAX theatre there couple of times and it was always a great experience which I recommend for everyone - they show amazing documentaries on a giant dome screen with unbelievable surrounded sound - you got a feeling that you are actually in the movie. During last visit we attended Quantum Exhibition that had a lot of interactive exhibits and was quite interesting and a Planetarium, which I feel is a great activity for families with children. I find it to be a very interesting place, where everybody can find something to do.
A bit pricey but worth it if you're going to be spending all day there. So much stuff for kids to do/play/learn
Nice place for a day out with kids.

Great place to bring children! If your children are interested in science, this is a great place to be! You can try hands-on science! The parking is $10 and there are tons of spots. The many levels to explore but you can get to everything within a few hours. There are memberships available but I personally don’t recommend them because it does get boring after a few visits. There is an IMAX Dome by Shoppers Drug Mart in here to.
Such a cool place, I was there for 3 hours and was bearly enough time
It is again one of the places that you should take your kid. There are so many activities for kids, and the kids don’t get bored at all because the activities are so fun, even for the adults. It is very crowded, and parking space is limited, so we went by the public transit. The bus stops just in front of the center of which works fine for us. We even did a hair-raising experience which was literally what it says.
Awesome place to bring kids, or go on a nerdy date!! Great indoor space for kids in bad weather, and beautiful outdoor grounds to walk in the summer. Just get a membership if you live in the area. It will be well worth it.
Great experience for everyone despite the restrictions on some of the exhibits. The food area is very pricey. Be forewarned.
Awesome place for children and adults. Great deal of attention paid to details of various sections of the centre. Kudos to the team behind this
Was very much fun. Had trouble with the film but didn't complain. Was a lot better as a kid as now 30 years old it isn't as fun.
Our family loves this place! We were happy to go back after a long lockdown. My kids did not want to go home. They were busy the entire time! Too bad the kidspark is temporarily closed, but overall was a great day.
Very busy, exciting, fascinating. Beautiful environment and interactive learning experience.
Great space to take the kids. They enjoyed all the interactive learning activities. My favourite was the space hover ship. I missed out on seeing the Planetarium show because I didnt see the times posted anywhere. Will definitely bring the kids again.
Always great to visit. Would be 5 stars if the 4th floor and some other exhibits weren't closed due to covid
Wide array of exhibits that will entertain the whole family. Lots of great opportunities for learning and play. Many hands on opportunities for children. Food prices in cafeteria are very reasonable and with a good variety of options.
It is great that these days our kids are being offered something beyond staring at all kinds of screens all days long! Ontario Science Centre is a rare example of something done right. A great way to spend a day with your family. The place is very much underfunded though and it feels.
A place not only for kids even for adults, huge place it need time to understand each and every exhibit, very informative, i didnt went to see imax movie, i prefer to give movies one separate visit, its a fun place for kids for all ages, i wish i would kid to study and see practical science .
Soooooooooo great show on the Superdogs but the volcano one is repetitive. And also very lame theory’s on when earth got created and stuff I mean hey add a couple billion years and anything’s possible right. Like first it’s a flaming ball of lava and then tada water appears and then tada animals come out of the water like where is the common sense where did the seeds come from. ever tried throwing seeds into lava you tell me what happens or ever tried growing stuff in straight hydrogen or nitrogen like space.
Pretty awesome experience but definitely didn't get to spend enough time! Will be back
Many interesting areas have been closed so far. Accessable areas are limited. Suggest- delay the visit plan. But, ????because we’re memberships that expire at the beginning of 2021 have been extended. So I bought child come again. And I took the picture about “the death of the sun.”for every one!???? Great space with amazing projects! Like the location, near subway and parking available. Staff are knowledgeable. Great place to take a visit couple times a year with new things to see and learn. Family friendly. Fully accessible, they even have a baby feeding area.
It is again one of the places that you should take your kid. There are so many activities for kids, and the kids don’t get bored at all because the activities are so fun, even for the adults. So many exhibit halls and interactive displays. Learning continues even outside. Great environment to learn while playing.
30 years ago I loved coming here for field trips and family visits. Now I've brought my 2 young sons for their first time. We barely covered 1/4 of the museum but they had a great time in the KidSpark section. Lots of hands on, musical, water stations, building exhibits.
Lots of interactive exhibits and not too busy. Some areas were closed due to covid but it was a great overall experience.
Great weekend plan for kids. Lots to learn and explore. We will certainly go back more often. Just because I have seen similar science museums elsewhere, I know that there is room for improvement, hence my 4 stars instead of 5.
One of my kids loved it, the other one not so much. It needs a refresh, there were a few "attractions" that were either broken or closed. I don't think they would want to go again. The staff were very nice at the creators centre.
The food court is a complete waste of time and resources! Pack your own meal before you go! Undercooked pizza or a bowl of rice is all you get!
Currently updating their exhibits..totally worth the hype. Great range of topics covered by the exhibits split across 5 levels. Kids activity section on level 3(?, maybe Level 4) great for toddlers and under 12s!
Very good place to bring kids to spend the day. $10 Parking and many interesting things to do and see with kids or adults.
Best place ever for kids 4-150! Happy 50th OSC!
Awesome place The kids(7&12)had a blast Lots to learn and fun stuff to do there
I love science and fell in love with science as a child because of this place, however wait until after covid restrictions have been lifted entirely to visit. I would not have fallen in love with science if I'd visited now as a kid. Over half the place is closed still thanks to restrictions. Even the planetarium is closed which is arguably the best part. And the gift shop has been closed and made a small 5 foot tall glass shelf at the check in desk with about 2 things in it, which is almost an insult when comparing to the shop 10 years ago that had a bit of the entire science centre in it.
One of the largest and best science centers in North America. I've been coming here since I was a little kid. Exhibits are always changing keeping things fresh. Unfortunately, they no longer have a gift shop.
I have the yearly pass and cannot get enough of the fun atmosphere and the knowledge that the science center gives.
Great places for kids and adults to learn more about life around them. Hands on activities can be enjoyed by everyone and are relevant to the world around us.
We had a really good time out with the children and there were a ton of activities for them the entire day. The ice cream is amazing. The children’s play area could be a full morning on its own! Exhibits were good too, the friendliest staff and awesome experience. Will definitely be coming back!
Wonderful place for families and school groups. Does a perfect job of making learning fun! Extremely noisy though!
Very very crowded not enough space to do anything and explore so many kids screaming
great place for kids. now open for members. The lego exhibits are amazing.
It's a nice place to bring kids from all ages once in a while. Even teens and adults have something to learn and enjoy as well. The membership is a bit pricey and doesn't seem to be worth coming back frequently to. I hope they improve the entrance and parking space as well.
Great for people of all ages. Tons of fun, good prices and can spend all day plan atleast 2-3hrs. Food is very expensive ($4 for a very small fries, $3.50 pop, 9$ chicken fingers). Can be very busy on weekends. But theres tons in the basement that never gets as busy as the kids area
Great place i took the daughters too. The kids always enjoy the science centre. Great friendly staff and im glad to see they are wheel chair accesible.
Had such a great time here a few weeks ago! Very sentimental and just as great as when I was a kid. Will definitely be returning with my nephew ???? ????
Great place for families to spend a few hours at a time. Always new exhibits. Check out Floor 4 & 6 for tons of stuff for the kiddos. Activities include musical instruments, climbing castles, and a fishing pond. The rainforest is cool too.
Last time I was here was about 25 years ago and today when I went with my little boys, I noticed some great improvements, but some of the displays were the same, probably still engraved with fingerprints from 2 decades ago! And the washroom facilities are very outdated, half of the older soap dispensers are broken (not replaced), the water pressure at the sinks is very weak not to mention the sensors stop responding half way through, and the hand dryers also have very weak heat and air flow. Could we at least get paper towels? I have seen higher quality water and dryer systems up north when we go camping in the middle of the jungle. Sure, the content and exhibits are great and one entire day is not enough to see everything. We ended up getting the basic pass. For 2 adults and 2 children you pay $70 and the pass is $125. Worth it if you plan to visit more than once in a year. It’s a great place to spend a day if you plan ahead, but I would like to see it better maintained with fewer “out of order” signs throughout.
Not as jam packed as I remember from when I was young, but still a great time with lots to do with kids. The new Kids Spark section was a blast for my son and remember to get tickets to be allowed into it.
This place is an absolute dream for energetic, curious kids like my soon-to-be three son. So many different experiences to explore and enjoy. Bonus: Johnny slept well that night hahha
I’ll give just 3/5 for the Science Centre. It was just okay.. More than a few exhibits were down. Many of the ones that were up seemed old and outdated.. We had lunch there. The food staff was mostly unhelpful and unfriendly. Being from Ohio I guess I’m just used to COSI.. A much nicer and much more fun Science Center. Also, as many people have stated.. This place is loud loud with screaming kids.. Bring some earplugs.
The updated exhibit halls are really well done! The giant building still has some "dead" space that could be filled, and you can really tell which exhibits haven't been updated yet, but overall the OSC is doing a great job, and you can totally spend an entire day there exploring! It really is fun for all ages.
Great family experience, a lot of entertaining exhibits for the kids and adults alike. Minimal wait times even during peak hours. We brought our lunch with us, there was a great “brown bag” area for us with lots of space and a nice view of the woods. Patient staff with great knowledge about the exhibits, and a very entertaining planetarium show for the kids (with bonus certificate)
My son is 13 now and we hadn't been in years. Honestly I expected it to be a little boring but we ended up staying for 5 hours and really enjoyed it. Highly recommended!
The Ontario Science Center consists of 6 floors and all of them are great! They are all so unique for any age and all the staff are polite. I get a lot of nostalgia every time I go here! There is a planeterium, an outdoor valley and so much more to discover! Thank you so much Science Centre! I hope you can re-open and I will gladly be your first guest!
It's a good place for family time. The documentaries are educational and intersting. It's worth taking children there. We miss the gift shop that they used to have.
Always lots to do and see there. A few areas on level 6 are a bit sparse or under renovation, but the Science Arcade is still good. The Popnology section right when you walk in is probably the best part this year (old arcade games, robotics, 3d printing, VR Oculus Rift).
We've got a family annual pass. Great value and our kids 4 and 6 play for hours. Lots of exhibits that switch frequently. They had a back to the future display, skateboarding demo, etc. Pro Tip: don't buy Tim hortons near the doors...wait til you get right inside. "The Maker Bean" has some rad coffee and teas!!"
A good place to visit with kids. The planetarium was closed which was a bummer. However the other exhibits such as human body and scient experiment sections are really good for kids
An entire educational and fun day can be spent here. We visit a couple times a year and the kids love visiting the same exhibitions so we are yet to explore the entire space. Great for kids of all ages. Omnimax is a fabulous experience, probably enjoyed most by those above 7 years old. Adults will enjoy it immensely
perfect place for all ages for all seasons. soon my membership will be expired and for sure I'm going to renew it.
So much to explore! There are tons of hands on activities, educational lectures and demonstrations for all ages. I've had so many great experiences, especially when I went as a child and was learning so much about life around us. My favourite back then was the shadow tunnel that basically took a still shot of your shadow. So many cool things, definitely worth checking out!
Very fun and educational for kids of all ages. Plenty of activities to take part in and many things to explore. We spent the whole day there and will be going again soon.
A fun time for kids and adults alike. I had an amazing time. Our family from Japan was here and they absolutely loved it.
Fun place for kids, even with covid restrictions the place is always fun for the little ones.
Very nice and kid friendly. If you are a family visiting Toronto you should definitely go here. So many things to do and very fun!
This is the most recommended place for kids. Visited the science centre with my 4 Years old. They had lots of fun and learning experience. There are 5 levels - we could visit only Bugs hall and Space one. Kidzone is super fun. Experience and recommendations: 1. You can not cover this place in one visit so better to buy membership pass - Planetary pass. 2. Should plan full day as there are so many activities and level. Ticket says 30 minutes but it is an amazing place to spend days. 3. Also plan to see IMAX movies as kids will enjoy it. 4. You need to walk a lots so you may carry stroller for toddlers. 5. Weekends tickets are sold out quickly so plan in advance. The only hack is that members have special slots so you can find some slots if general category is booked. 6. There are experts available at each level and can share their knowledge. Have fun and teach science.
This is the most recommended place for kids. Visited the science centre with my 4 Years old. They had lots of fun and learning experience. There are 5 levels - we could visit only Bugs hall and Space one. Kidzone is super fun. …
Great place to explore)))) there are so many science experiments around. Some parts of exhibitions are closed… Kids are really enjoy everything.
When outside is cold this place is the best kids love it they learn and play , just make sure you have lots of snacks and drinks , they have a tim H inside you can kill a whole day there lots of fun. (Bathrooms cancel cleaner)
Not overly busy. My 9yr old loved it. Sad the 4th floor wasn't open but.. ya know.. covid.. ????
Great place to come with your kids! They have the whole kids floor just for them! My lo loved it:) They even have cool things for adults! Definitely come there again!
Need a couple days to see everything! So much to do. One of a kind place! Even has spots for under 3 kids to play!
Cool place for your inner kid. Also family oriented. Lots of acitivites to participate in throughout the day. I suggest you plan out what activity you want to join first and prepare to line up 15 mins before start time to ensure a spot.
Always a blast. Kids love the space. Something for everyone from toddler to tweens.
Such a great way to spend the day with my little brother. So much to see and do and the exhibits are very interactive. While some elements are a bit dated, because it’s science, it’s still fun, engaging and a blast when you haven’t been there for a while! We will definitely be back!
Very interesting and fun place (esp. if you have kids). We made friends with A. Wong (he has been working there for 20+ years) and he was very nice, friendly, knowledgable and attentive! Did not expect we would like it this much, only went because the City Pass covers it but it turns out to be among the best ones!
Always love visiting the Ontario Science Center, though the recent construction on Eglinton is making it a challenge with the increased traffic, hopefully it's finished sooner than later. Parking thankfully hasn't really risen and is still $10 for cars and there are plenty of spaces in the lot. And if you have an electric car, you can charge for free during a visit. Only thing I wish is that the hours of operation were longer than 5pm, at least until 7 would give more browsing ability for the various exhibits.
Great place for children and families. Lots to see, do and discover. Create your own experience and enjoy!
I would say it was a much needed relief after a long lockdown period. This is the first place we went together after the easing of lockdown. They kept this place clean and good. Cafes are too good, you can get burgers and pizza there at a reasonable price.
Great spot for kids and adults. Kids section has accessibility options for washrooms and change tables. Also great place for adults to keep them entertained. Different sections to go throughout the Science Centre, in the summer even some outdoor spots. Would recommend this place if getting the Toronto city pass.
It's a fantastic place to explore, many activities for both adults and children to play. Great experiences.
Maybe I was expecting more from this visit and when I my expectations didn't meet I was bit disappointed. There are many science projects which can be shown to kids specially, in an interesting way , however because no proper guidance is provided by the staff there people were roaming here n there without any proper guidance.I think the centre needs some really interested n staff who is keen n feel happy enthusiastic to work there.
great place for a day out with family. You will learn lots!
Visited on
It's well organized and there are lots of things kids will learn in here.
I always liked the science center from a child and now has an adult. So much to learn and so much fun.
If you enjoy science you will have a grat time in that place! I think is a nice place specially for kids.
Somewhat disappointing experience with the kids - some fun displays and activities, but entire sections were closed off. Admission price should have been reduced.
OSS is always a really great time for our family - the kids sections are SO interactive that they can spend ages exploring and playing! This is our very top choice for any museum visit in Toronto!
I was very disappointed with our visit here. My step daughter is a big science fan and has been looking forward to our visit for a long time, and She was very disappointed. Most interactive things were broken and or ran sacked. There was an area to do paper airplanes but all paper had been used a scattered all over the place. There was a exhibit to build stuff an no materials available. Just seem like it was run down and unsupervised. No employee presents to help or keep things under control, the only place I seen employees was to take our tickets and our money. I personally wouldn't recommend going and I wont be doing again.
The place is built on a hill and is very large, too large as exhibits are scattered all over the place on many levels. The exhibits are good but be prepared for long walks and lots of escalator rides to get anywhere. If your looking for space science, forget it despite Canada's work with the CSA, their connection with NASA because it's definitely not here. If you have children it's going to be fun. Otherwise patience ????
The Ontario Science Centre is a location where you can escape reality, a large facility that goes a long way toward making science approachable, exciting, and enjoyable. While I was there, I learnt a lot, and everything is presented in a fun way. Staff who very patient and knowledgeable about the exhibits. It is unquestionably worthwhile to pay a visit!
Fun place, go early so you dont have to face big crowds.
Good place to engage children intellectually. My lil one had a great time and I am sure we look forward to multiple visits in the future.
Great day to spend you family. Amazing shows and things for kids to do. Friendly staff with some pretty neat "did you know this!" The only down side is.... finding out the gift shop is no longer there.
Great place for fun & learnings for kids and adults alike.
Not quite what it used to be. More of a playpen for unsupervised children to run and scream than a science centre... although you could consider it a permanent exhibition on chaos theory or diverse parenting strategies.
A great place to learn and play. Kids had fun here. However, the parking fee is a little bit expensive.
Amazing place to learn and explore! Great for kids and adults!
Very interesting and fun place (esp. if you have kids). We made friends with A. Wong (he has been working there for 20+ years) and he was very nice, friendly, knowledgable and attentive! Did not expect we would like it this much, only went because the City Pass covers it but it turns out to be among the best ones!
Had a great time! Went with my toddler and she was engaged completely by all the various exhibits
Wonderful atmosphere and the staff is very friendly. Facilities accommodate young kids and has a lot hands on fun for toddlers. There is a special area for toddlers to play in water or a music studio, a grocery store, a farm with changing weather conditions and a house that could be built. The cafeteria is a great place place, lots of natural light or cubbies for quiet time for the kids. There are lockers if you want to store anything in the front. Imax movies are awesome. Special exhibits are available.
Really fun place, but they haven't updated exhibits in almost a decade lol. I visited as a child and remember seeing that same exhibits
Good knowledge for kids.. so much to explore . Well maintained. Hands on activities wonderful.. kids age 10 + will understand and enjoy more
Visit the wind tunnel exhibit to create an artificial wind storm, it's a great learning experience for adults and children.
Very good place to take your young kids! I highly reccomend! Easy to spend a full day there
Not a great place for actually learning. Cool experience to see the amphibians in the plant section but it doesn't really teach you anything. the lectures actually teach you stuff. It also isn't that fun. The first time was cool but the second time was very boring. Food is pricy. Packed with school kids during March to June.
Since Ontario Science Centre limited the number of visitors, it was better experience in general. Less people means no line up. Their restaurant is opened but not for the full menu. There was enough space for sitting even during the lunchtime.
Fun place. Not all the activities are great but kids can enjoy and run around. Gives lot of chances for parents to engage kids in learning. Planetary membership good for 2 adults and kids. Gives 2 parking passes as well. Nice deal. Probably will visit here 2-3 times a year
Always a good time, lots to see and interact with--we suggest planning for a whole day
A wonderful interactive museum. Allow at least a few hours, a full day if possible. Don't miss the Procter & Gamble Great Hall (Level 2) and the Weston Family Innovation Centre (Level 6) - LittleMan had a blast!
when i was a kid i loved making the houses and buildings with the soft bricks and being cashier at the store. also educational
A fun place to spend the day with the family. Kids had a blast running all over the place
Love the children’s floor. My daughter always has the best time. When we left the children’s floor though it seemed as though many many things were broken and unable to use. Many of the exhibits need maintenance and repair.
Our kids loved Science World - lots of great exhibits and fun for the whole family. We really enjoyed it! The staff were also very friendly and helpful. Budget about 2hrs there and bring your own snacks as there aren't that much food …
had visited before covid and had a lot of fun. but post covid experience was not so great. my friends enjoyed it though as it was their first experience
Brought my kids here, I remember it being more interactive and child friendly. Granted I recognize covid has changed things but not as exciting as was hoping for. The movie we watched was also long and slow and not enjoyable (volcano).
It's a very informative place for everyone from toddlers to +99 years old ???? But doesn't seem to designed for the functionality that now carries and if did It's not ideal ,very confusing building and circulation of people is …
Most of these reviews are too modest I was very excited to bring my family hear and although we enjoyed the day it was rather disappointing. I will start with the pros the building it self is impressive the rainforest is pretty cool and seems to be doing well, the omnimax show was also very entertaining the cons around half of the attractions where broken or just filthy I must have seen 15 custodial staff not sure why anything was dirty. The place was a ghost town it was kinda weird the entire place just seems given up on nothing is current it reminds me of the arcade in the bottom of the skylon tower in Niagra falls empty and hanging on for dear life.
This is a great place for students, especially high school. It has education with regard to geography and history, which is a must go place. In addition, the 3D theatre inside, which plays a show based on real nature is so cool. I would …
Quite a good place to spend some time with the kids. Fun and educational at once.
I went with my daughter and grand daughters had an amazing time
What can you say? One of the best places to take kids in Toronto. Even with the covid closures, I still love it. And they hopefully get to learn a thing or two.
You can not not like the science center. It's a gift for any growing mind. However, covid limited the displays but not the price.
Great entertainment for kids. Getting in will wreck your visit. 20 minutes in a parking line, 10 minutes to get into the building. Another 15 for tickets check.
It's a fantastic place to take the kids. All of the interactive learning exercises were a hit with them. There's a lot to see and do, and the exhibits are rather engaging. There were no issues with us bringing in our own snacks and other items. We took public transportation because it was very crowded and parking was scarce. Because it is such a large area, at the very least a full day is required to fully explore it.
Vreat hands on experience for all ages. I live in the States and I look forward to coming to the science center again.
No wait
Great space to take the kids. They enjoyed all the interactive learning activities. My favourite was the space hover ship. I missed out on seeing the Planetarium show because I didnt see the times posted anywhere. Will definitely bring the kids again.
If you are in to science, this is a wonderful place to visit. Lots of things to see and do for children and adults. They always seem to have some kind of special exhibit going on as well. But if you wanna do some special events you will have some price attached. The kids loved it here. So much hands on learning. I enjoyed it too. The price was great for what was offered. Visit this place you won't be disappointed. There is a lot to see. Have fun!✌
Great for all ages. Went a few weeks back and my son and I loved every moment of it. Would highly recommend!
Spent the day here with my four year old and we had a great time. Lots of parking and plenty to see inside. If you have time, see a show in the IMAX theater - so cool! You will also find the perfect cup of java at The Maker Bean Cafe on Level 2 so don't miss it.
I just visited the Science Center during the third phase of Covid. It was at a reduced capacity, with online ticket sales that were timed. Some displays were closed during the reopening of COVID they can't afford social distancing or sanitation but majority exhibits were open. Even during such trying times, the personnel at Covid were exceedingly pleasant and helpful, making our stay that much more delightful. Hopefully the Science centre can return to normal soon! I will definitely go again...
I like to take my daughter there because they have almost an entire floor for kids. They have so much fun exploring and playing.
My kids love this place! Place to stay all day with the family. 4th and 6th floors their favorite. I was surprised finding a designated Quite Zone for prayer, there is even a prayer mat in there ;-)
Shoutout to Ian for saving our day in Toronto. Accidentally booked tickets online for the wrong day and when I called expecting to be told "sorry about your luck", I was greeted by Ian and he was able to salvage the whole thing! Even got me a better time :) props to you and the amazing service.
Been here with my kid a few times. This weekend will be the last time however. Several sections of the venue is closed off and they don't tell you that. Even way after you buy a ticket. Not much to enjoy. Unless you like making crafts and paper airplanes all day.
Great place very interactive with lots of learning activities for kids and adults. I will be definitely return.
Reservation recommended
we went there with my kids, they loved it, learn more, had more fun with all different knowledge, nice place, even for adult
The pandemic format is much better as there is less people around and everyone get their turn at experiment. Hopefully they will find a way to keep that timed entry format once pandemic restrictions are all lifted.
A reasonable use of weekend. Couldn't experience much of its interactive activities as there are umpteen number of people qued up. So try finding a weekday to make best use of the place. I liked the transformation of Sun and Earth in the 6th level.
The place is incredible. So much to see and not only. Lots of interactive activities, the kids (2 and 3) loved it. Spent good 4 hours on a Saturday and didn't cover even half of the space. Can go again and again with the kids and I'm sure we will find so much more to see and do. The only down sides are the $10 parking and the awful food court. No good options for kids to eat (nor adults really).
Loved it! We will be back to spend the whole day there again. Though the Energy show was quite low in energy. Will check out other shows!
The kids are a pack of wild animals let off their leash. It was still a fun experience for my son however.
Kidspark is a fantastic creative learning/play space for kids up to age 8. We spent our entire 3 hr visit there.
My husband and I visited the Science museum we learned and enjoyed so much, like kids. They have diferente activities for kids, teenagers even adults. The museum is huge what we enjoyed the most is the space area everything related to the stars and planets.
I enjoyed my time with friends and family here recently. Even during such a difficult times (Covid) staff were overly friendly, helpful and it made our time that much more enjoyable.
Amazing place for kids as well as adults
Went to watch a movie. The theatre and screen was very impressive. The volcano movie was pretty boring though
Have always loved going here. Due to covid, sadly the entire floor for Kidztown was closed. But we still have a great time.
A very nice place to spend a whole day, if not many days! For all ages. Very clean, organized and up-to-date.
I would suggest scheduling for an earlier time into the day as there is just way too much to do. Had a blast from 12pm-4pm and didn't even realize the time go by. Highly suggest checking this place out!
Plenty to do and explore and you can spend the better part of a day there. Parking is $10 and the lot is large. Is like a museum, so the exhibits don't change much, so if you're seen it once, don't expect anything different unless there is a special event or theme running. There is a paid theatre, observatory, and generally lots to do for the kids. Daily shows by staff help kids learn. Some very neat interactive things to see and explore. Food and drinks are a little overpriced, so bring some snacks or if you can leave, there are local food places close by. The floors are reversed, so 1 is highest and 6 is lowest. Some free days if you want to save some money and you could always try to score some free tickets from your local library.
Absolutely amazing place to spend the day with the kids. You can use your admission towards the purchase of a family membership, which depending on the tier, gives certain perks such as free omnimax movies and 10% off food purchases. There are lots of interactive demonstrations throughout the day at the vairous levels. An excellent place with activities for all ages.
Amazing place for all ages, one visit is not enough for you to be watch everything. They used every corner wisely
Surprisingly good fun! The building is quite old and needs an uplift, but the exhibitions were quite amusing. Plenty of things to keep entertained, and very good day out if you have kids.
Very outdated! The year is 2021 and there are so many advances and innovation in science. They can do a lot more with the 6 floors they have.
Great time, always a fun place to take the family to see and explore how the world works.
Always a fun time with the family. Get there early and go to kids spark area right away as it gets busy later and can be 2 hour wait to get in that section.
The science centre is HUGE! There is so much to see, you can’t see it all in one day. There is an amazing diverse selection of topics to explore. The staff are very friendly and interactive and knowledgeable. They have a huge young child friendly are as well as many areas geared towards older children and adults. We live in Calgary and they let us use our calgary science centre membership to enter for free. The cafeteria is pretty terrible. The selection of food is pretty basic. Pizza pizza, Tim Horton’s and a kind of gross cafeteria meal selection. Compared to the cafeteria at the Calgary science centre, I thought they could do better. There cutlery wasn’t reusable or compostable. That was pretty disappointing. The science centre itself seemed pretty clean but the bathrooms were quite gross. You have to pay 10 dollars for parking each visit but I saw a lot of people using public transport to access it!
This place is beyond what you would imagine. Loved the shows they are incredible.
Weekend
It's still a great experience. Remember, it's not just for school field trips. Lots of parking and spacious exhibits.
An excellent place to come bring your family. They have several floors of fun and educational displays. It does seem that most of the displays are for younger kids. The cost of admissions is fair and they have some cool stuff in the gift shop. Facility was very clean and tidy. All others were in top notch place. We spent about 6 hours here! Loads of fun! I highly recommend this place!
Had an amazing time. Haven't been here since school trips in the late 80s early 90s. Good memories. Till we meet again science centre!
No wait
Fantastic place to inspire young minds, new bug exhibition is amazing to explore even for adults. However, avoid long weekend and PA day for crowds. Bring packed lunch to save time.
Long time member and really enjoyed it pre covid. Now it's almost empty to much closed off and the passport stuff I'm so over it!
Science centers are always a good place to go to with your kids. OSC is one of the place where kids become really interested in science, presentations and displays are really well done which makes kids and adults alike take notice and find time to really know the facts behind it and get immerse with the experience. The multi level facility literally takes you the whole day or more to explore. Staff at reception where very courteous. Variety of food choices are available at their food court but some are a little bit pricey. All in all, the whole experience makes you want to come more often and kids approved it 100%.
Excellent time with the kids, many fun interactive activities, good for 4 hours, good as I remember as a kid
It has so much to offer. The exhibits are fantastic. My sons love coming here. There is a lot of variety and lots of levels we can never get through the whole place.
Would love to go there again. Could go 100x over and always see something interesting.
We went on a free entry day. It was jam packed. Not at all organized. Wish they good have a better planning. Something like an online limited free entry tickets so u don't end up welcoming the entire Toronto.
Always entertaining and educational. We enjoy going to the Science Centre at least once a year to see the always changing exhibits. Set aside a whole day for this attraction as there is a lot to see and do. It seems like a small detail but we really appreciate the clothes lockers on the way in. It's so nice to not have to wear or carry your heavy winter jackets and gear the entire day. The cafeteria has ample seating and a good variety of meals, snacks and beverages. There is a play zone for younger kids which keeps them entertained for quite some time. The staff and students working there are very friendly and helpful! Highly recommended family event.
It’s a great place to keep your little ones busy on a rainy day. The best time to come is right on opening, much more comfortable - less people. …
Excellent place for kids to have fun and learn. I used to go there when I was young, it was exciting. Over the years I have been there few times but the place got boring and nothing new. But I went there after 3 years and it looks so different. They have regular exhibits which they change every few weeks which keeps it fresh. My kid loved it. The SparkFun area is also very nice. Kids can run around and play and learn at the same time. It is great place for kids specially since lots of kids are stuck home doing virtual schooling. Good for their mental health. I spend 2 hours on 1 floor only. They have multiple floors so I can imagine going back again soon and my kid going to go crazy. I like the fact that management is doing timed entry to keep the crowd control. Good. 1 thing to point out is that I am not sure how can the management keep the surfaces clean. I don't think its possible during the day as people keep coming in and touching everywhere. I am sure they sanitize after the closing. I can't blame them, its not easy. So if you are going there, keep this in mind that everyone is touching everywhere so you need to protect your kid yourself. I had my kids wear gloves and sanitized as much as possible. Keep safe. Great place to spend few hours with kids.
Very good place to bring the family. Lots of fun for the children and convenient public transportation.
