It’s a small museum (house) located south of high park by The Queensway. This place not popular for everyone but it’s an amazing place to visit. The people serving in this small museum they are so helpful and knowledgeable about sir John and his wife and their story when they moved to this place from UK in the 18 century to start their new life in a farm that located outside of Toronto that time.

Colette Vallieres

The tour of this historic house was fascinating, and shared many interesting stories about the Howards (who gave the land of High Park to the city for making a public park) and about 19th century Toronto.

This is a historic building set in the Victorian era. If you like that sort of thing, they do pursue the theme to the enth degree. All volunteers are dressed in period clothing and are more than happy to explain the history of the site, life in the time, and the struggles early Toronto life brought. Situated in High Park, there are tons of picnic spots, lush foliage and greenery, interesting historic spots (including the grave of one of Toronto's early city planners) right in and around the site. A full day of activity awaits!
