Beautiful site full of history. Stumbled upon the site while driving back to our cottage. Learned alot about the Irish immigrants during the famine in Ireland. Lots of information. A must see if you are in the Miramichi area.

Great place to walk especially with a 2 year old . Picnic tables are available if you bring something to eat as the restaurant on site is not open (covid) .

Very well maintained walking park with historic information along the trail, different trails to take. Beautiful view with nice breeze off the water, nice place for a picnic. Little beach area with sand and shallow water for the kids. Dog must be on leash at all times. Plenty of parking, with eat in restaurant, bathroom etc. Worth a look if passing by the Miramichi river.

This is a purely serene place to visit. I'm sure it's not overly special to the locals but the quiet peaceful nature of this small island park make it a wonderful place to go sit and relax and just take in the magnificance of the Miramichi river. There's a small beach which was enjoyed by no more than a dozen people both times I went there. The benches and picnic tables are VERY sturdy and made from larger cuts of wood for longevity. While you are not permitted to cook food on the island, this park makes a perfect place to enjoy a cold picnic and swim.

It's pretty small. It has a restaurant (which I didn't visit). The small Beach is a nice reprieve from the busy beaches. The dogs loved it! Just don't plan a day here.
