You will be able to see the feddbacks of real people like you who purchased the services of Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel (Museum) near Longueuil (Canada).
Nowadays the business gets a score of 4.6 stars out of 5 and that score has been calculated on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that the average of ratings that it reaches is almost the top, and it is based on a very large number of scores, so we can conclude that the assessment is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to evaluate when they are satisfied with the business, it works.
As you know, we don't usually stop to give opinions when these are positive and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Museum corresponds to the category of Museum.

Among the most beautiful chapels in Montreal
Beautiful chapel with breathtaking paintings and displays in every square inch. Despite its size, is my favorite church in Montreal to pray peacefully and be with our Lady. Also cannot, I repeat CANNOT miss the electronically guided tour of the life of Ste. Margarite Bourgeois and the rest of the church building. The tour takes you through her living area and up to the church terrace and bell tower, then down into the catacomb. I would take this tour again! Perfect for taking photos.
Its a church and i aint religious
gorgegeous inside! look for the unique wooden boats!

Wow, such a beautiful Chapel! We were even lucky enough to stop by when a organist was playing. We love to see churches, chapels and cathedrals, and this was definitely one of the more beautiful ones we saw on our trip to Montreal.

(Translated) Nice little chapel. (Original) Ładna mała kaplica.
Something different and quiet away from the bustle of the street. Not what you expect from a museum in a church. There is no religious theme, nor icons, just a glimpse at the amazing life and times of a lady setting out to make a difference for others in this new land. The view and tranquility from the belfry is worth every penny. The crypt and discovered artifacts fascinating. The dolls house, incredible.
(Translated) Very nice museum (Original) Très beau musée
Beautiful and magical place
Great tour! We saw the entire history of this unbelievable church. The small displays did an excellent job of explaining the history. The views from the top of the church were amazing and the archeological site underneath the church was like stepping back in time. There is just too many fascinating things to describe here. This is something everyone should see. It was great!

(Translated) It is an impressive church with the open arms of Mary standing on top, and is said to be at the mouth of the Old Porter, originally built to pray for the safety of the sailors. Beautiful
Meh. I wish they'd have just said "you're paying for the visit/view from the roof", because that's the reality of it. I'd include the chapel but you can see that without paying for a tour. The "museum" is pretty laughable. 1/6th of it is a room of miniatures acting out the founder's story. Quaint, but ultimately unfulfilling. I certainly don't mind supporting a historical site, but the price of admission seems way out of line considering there are LOTS of other sites charging less and giving more.
Beautiful church, 4pm has English service!
Beautiful place
Lots of history, for people of all faiths but for people that like history and beauty

Quite an interesting little church in the Old Port area. It's actually the oldest church in the city and you can take a tour all the way up to the top to view the chapel in the sky; plus, you can take a special tour of the crypt and the archeological dig site under the church.

People that worked here were SO friendly and accommodating. My Mom and I got there very late in the day on Dec 27th and were rushing to take everything in. They stayed open late just for us. So much history and great exhibits to take in. We could have spent 2-3 hours. Merci beaucoup from Texas!

(Translated) Church with the interior decorated with marine elements and seafaring. Interesting the outside, a little 'less than the inside. (Original) Chiesa con l'interno decorato con elementi marini e marinareschi. Interessante l'esterno, un po' meno l'interno.
I'm not religious, so I didn't get as much out of parts of it as others might. It is a very nice chapel though, and she was an interesting person. Perhaps my favourite part was climbing to the top to look out over the old Montreal and listening to the audio guide explain the landmarks.

(Translated) Very beautiful church which was built on the site of the first chapel built in 1655 The chapel had burned down in 1754 and the church was rebuilt in 1755 then renovated a second time in 1771 the frescoes on the ceiling are amazing and the stained glass windows are super beautiful there is a museum to visit as well as a large staircase to go up to the top near the statue of Mary between the two angels at a cost of nine dollars The guide at the entrance to the church was exceedingly efficient and precise in every detail and so was the lady at the entrance to the museum. The museum explains to us in depth the life of Marguerite Bourgeois born in 1620 and died on January 12, 1700. All in all it was an excellent visiting experience. Beautiful church. We went for the candlelit concert and it was surreal
Beautiful antique church close to downtown in Montreal.
Nice place
Interesting history
Make sure to go to the top of the tower, amazing view!
Worth a short visit.
This is a nice church to checkout if you are in the area. It isn't the famous church in the area that everyone comes to see, which won't be named, but it's exterior design is awesome and cozyness inside is something to check out.
It's so beautiful

The Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel is a beautiful place to visit. There is also a museum inside the church and everyone should definitely go visit the museum. From the top of the tower you can have a great view of the bay and the island across the river.
Beautiful church with lots of history in Canada. A must see if you are in Montreal!
A nice little church by the St. Lawrence River. The facade facing the river does not do it justice as it looks rather run down. However, the front facade is interesting and the interior is well maintained. The stained glass looks impressive and the rest of the church is beautiful. We were short of time and did not really explore the rest of the area nor join the guided tour.

Beautiful, a must see and definitely do the crypt tour, the guide is incredible. An exciting and informative tour. Truly a must see place! Not to mention the climb to the top, I have a knee that has a graph and a neurological problem, but I was so glad I went up there. By the way if you are worried as you climb up about the winding stairs coming down. Follow the signs on the roof and they take you to a different stairwell that only has a few tight winding ones and then it is a more typical stairwell from there for the descent, which for me is the hard part, the coming down. I loved this place. I will find it hard not to stop here everytime I go to Montreal. It was a real nice Mass too if you are Catholic or just feel called to the experience. I call myself a liberal Catholic, I celebrate diversity, am pro choice, do not buy into hell fire and damnation. I have faith that love, kindness and charitable heart is the gifts we give and stillness does indeed allow us to hear the holy spirit in our lives. Please do go and enjoy this amazing place regardless of your spiritual belief. It will become close to your heart too. Her timeless speaks to you in the most lovely hushed whispers as you gaze at her beautiful art and architecture. I can not imagine anyone would not be moved to a reflective open heart state just by crossing the threshold of the doors. :)
A local resident recommended us to visit the church and the museum, I'm glad we did it.. Very beautiful church, with a small museum with tons of photos and history of Montreal and a big plus.. you'll have the best views of the Old Port from their roof. In winter time the view is really pretty. Recommend it!
(Translated) First of all, as this chapel is also called Notre-Dame, do not confuse it with the sumptuous Notre-Dame Cathedral. This chapel is small, cozy, and one of the oldest in the city, dating from 1771. As it is located close to the port, it is known for being the Chapel of the English Sailors, since they frequented it to ask and to thank for their trips. This relationship is so profound that small boats hang from the chapel. *Hey! An important destination for those interested in the early history of Montreal and New France. The chapel is a must see -- the museum optional.
A beautiful church.
A very good church and must visit if you are in Montreal for more than 1 day
A pleasant surprise! Its a really nice museum even if its not really big , make sure to make a reservation for the archeology site (they dont charge more but i think right now its only in the summer) and dont forget to climb the tower there is a lot of very narrow step but its totally worth the view !!
Just wow
Beautiful and peaceful chapel. You see a lot of breathtaking art and architecture. The golden statue that you see from outside is something very eye-catching and makes you want to go there and see the whole chapel. Also, there are events being made inside the chapel, for example, there was this classic music performance but it was only played by violinists. A visit is a must!
This is my favourite church in Montreal. I just love the votive boats and ships suspended from above, offerings for the protection, and thanks for the salvation of seafarers. Intimate and beautiful.

A rather nice chapel dedicated to seafarers so there are ship models hanging from the ceiling. A walk up the tower is well worth the extra time and money.
Nothing Special, but has a great view
Peaceful place
I had never thought of it before, but the Little Drummer Boy, a Christmas Song with a rump a tum tum, does sound like the Bolero, a brass composition by Maurice Ravel. Today, in the Chapelle Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours, a choir explored that similarity as the brass section performed the Bolero and the choir sang the Little Drummer Boy. So, did Maurice Ravel attend a Christmas Choir and hear the Rumpa Tum Tum and get inspired? I pondered just this as the choir and the trumpet and a trombone pulled off the mashup. It's a magnificent conductor who can conduct men and women from all walks of life into a choir. I'll have to look up his name because this choir master knew how to turn to the audience and hush us, make us hold our applause. He even demanded, with men and women standing up to sing, that we sing out a carol before he allowed his chorus to sing it. And we loved it. Was this a concert or an audition? We didn't demand an encore. He merely waved his arms and we returned to our seats for a moving rendition of the Battle of the Republic, translated to French. Julia Ward Howe's lyrics brought to voices full and rich made a stirring encore, sung in a town that never saw a battle of the American Civil War. Ah, but I've read the plaques that tell of insurrections posted on the limestone blocks of the maisons of Old Montreal. However, it is clear that the preservation of this chapelle proves that truth has marched on. The afternoon passed well. Now to plan the evening.
The view from the top is highly recommended!!!
A fantastic place to see not only the history of the founding of the church in Montreal but also wonderful views of the harbour, Expo 67 and other parts of old Montreal from high up.
Beautiful inside .. with all the candles burning .Not all real but that makes sense . Wonderful concert , to bad I kept nodding off due to over heating . Seemed like no ventilation , no fans Wearing a mask on a very hot day with doors closed . Thought I would pass out . P.s. Absolutely no English spoken during performance so you better know some French or have someone who does . Not Great for a tourist.

Where: Notre-Dame-de-Bon-Secours Chapel - Montreal, Quebec What: A small Chapel in the Old Port. How was it: This Chapel is really cute. It's really small and charming inside. You can light candles as opposed to the new electric version. It's rarely open when we are nearby, but when it is we try to go inside for some minutes. Grade: Eli = 5, Serge = 4+ Recommend: Yeah, the structure on the outside is nice and the inside is really charming.

Not for everyone, but definitely a great place to visit if you like museums. Audio tour was well put together and comprehensive.
Lovely building but the highlight is the story behind how it came to be built, take the time to look at the displays and read the story, an amazing woman of God! It's also worth paying to visit the museum. Great views from the tower and a crypt as well.

Beautiful place. Remember to respect the environment you're in
so solemn, very historic, and holy.
A truly magical place that should ALWAYS be free to enter, not just free museum day in May. I love climbing the stairs and going onto the watch tower. The inside is wonderful and has many different rooms and sections, each with its own theme. A truly gorgeous building.

(Translated) First attempt Notre-Dame-de Bon-Secours, it is the oldest church (1657) in Montreal. Who fell victim to a fire three times. Each time a figure of Mary survived the fires. Very rich must visit
This chapel is the smaller of two Notre-Dame churches in Old Montreal. It's a hidden gem that is often ignored by tourists and visitors of the old city. It didn't take me that much time to visit, but I came out impressed by the paintings hanging on its walls, its vaulted ceiling, ornate altar, stained glass windows, tiny ships that hang from the ceiling and much more. There's also a small museum that you can reach from inside the church. Definitely worth your while.
Has a museum inside and a tour to the basement..can climb the stairs to the very top as well

Notre-Dame-de-Bonsecours-Chapel also know as the Sailors' church because many sailors were grateful for the protection offered. They even carved wooden ships, that now hang from the ceiling inside the Chapel, as a way to give thanks. The Star of the Sea (situated on the roof of the Chapel with Angels on either side of Her) provided protection for many weary sailors that gave thanks, as they prayed to Her before disembarking to enjoy some much needed downtime. As legend has it, one night the sailors arrived in such a rush to enjoy the night life, that they forgot to give thanks. A storm rolled in and the protector turned Her back on sailors that night. Many sailors drowned that night. This was Her way of reminding them not to forget to pray. Leonard Cohen referred to The Star of the Sea, as the "Lady of the Harbour" in his song Suzanne. Marguerite Bourgeoys (who started the first school in Montréal and took care of French girls sent to marry here) received a wooden statue of Madona and Child that survived the fire unharmed (and is said to have special powers). The fire burned down the original Chapel which she made happen. And the newly built Chapel was dedicated to her. There is a museum with many artifacts to visit, as well as visiting the tower of the chapel, which looks out over the harbour. There is a fee for both the museum and tower but the church is free of charge. I strongly recommend a visit, as it is so very peaceful inside.
(Translated) Beautiful facade (Original) Belle façade
Absolutely beautiful church with a very unique ceiling, stunning stained glass windows and an ornate altar, honestly it is one of the nicest churches in Montreal! I have no idea why I put it off for years... The museum (which unlike the Church is not free, but is reasonably priced) is also very interesting with lots of information about Saint Marguerite Bourgeoys, the congregation she founded and the foundation of Montreal. The staff are super helpful and friendly and there are lots of interesting artefacts. On top of that, there is an amazing view from the balcony at the top of the bell tower. I highly recommend visiting!

Beautiful church and museum attached. Church felt sacred and holy, which can be challenging in the midst of tourism. Museum was well organized and the tower worth climbing to see the view and the Angels!
One of the things I loved about Quebec was how old things were. Fascinating. This was very interesting and worth the time.
Beautiful old chapel that took my breath away the moment I stepped in. Incredible to believe this place is hundreds of years old as it's upkept so lovingly! Stunning architecture and truly humbling to think that a saint resides here. :) The gift shoppe located just off the actual chapel itself was also lovely to peruse and I left with a few new treasures after also seeing some of the artifacts on display in the hallway. I wish I had time to take a trip through the museum, but that will have to wait until I'm next in Montreal. Gorgeous chapel that's well worth the stop for history fans and pilgrims alike!

A lovely discovery when I visited la Chapelle. Marguerite was a remarkable person - oh, to talk with her now. The view!, the archaeology, the stories.
Gorgeous chapel. We paid $9 CAD/ person to go on the top. It’s 69 steps to get to the first point of view and them 20 something more steps to be under the dome. It’s free to just come inside and rest/pray, whatever works for you. Donations are welcome. There is also a gift shop inside in the back left.

Very nice Church with a history of caring for the seafarers. Note the votive ships hanging from the ceiling.
Great museum with excellent displays and a good interactive area for kids groups. The view from the bellowed is well worth the stairs to get there and be sure to get a guide to take you thru the new dig. It's really fascinating what's being found beneath the chapel.
