You will be able to see all the feddbacks of real people who used the products and services of Fanshawe Pioneer Village (Museum) in the territory of London (Canada).
As of day this firm has a score of 4.6 stars out of 5 and the score was based on 127 reviews.
You must have seen that it reaches an reviews average is virtually the top, and it's founded on a high number of scores, so we may say that the rating is very accurate. If there are many people who bothered to value when they are satisfied with the business, it works.
You know that we don't usually bother to place opinions when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or issue...
This Museum is included in the category of Museum.
We had our wedding at Fanshawe Pioneer Village. They were great to work with. They gave us options to move the reception outside once the pandemic took a turn. The coordinator was wonderful the day of. She coordinated with our vendors and helped us tear down at the end of the night. The assistant events coordinator was amazing too! He shuttled anyone around on the golf cart and even took the kids for a ride around the Village to help with their boredom. The location was beautiful and perfect for pictures.
Beautiful, small and we'll maintained Pioneer village. You begin in an earlier period of history and walk around to the later years.

If you like to travel one day to the past, go for it.the village has different part and in summer they have variety of events.and also its kids friendly
We went to FPV last week and we were amazed how beautiful the place is. A perfect place to relax.
The staff, what ones were there, were great. Lots of potential, but not much happening. So many of the buildings have potential, but it looks unfinished. Either too cluttered (woodshop, blacksmith) or too off limits behind plexiglass (many of the houses).
Loved visiting this place last Saturday. My husband and I learned so much about how life was for these pioneers from 1820-1920. I loved the physical environment - building, furniture, and household items. We went on a day that was cloudy all morning. It ended up being perfect: not too hot out, and not too busy! We spent about 3 hours there. There are public washrooms, in the cafe building (cafe itself is closed at the moment). What a treat this place was! I was inspired to ask many questions... and the well-trained staff members were able to answer each of them. Even the ones that I didn't think they'd know, about the life expectancy rate back then, how life differed between generations,... Truly time well spent. I look forward to going back, with others. $10/adult, $25 for an annual pass - adult.
I recommend this amazing place. We can learn Canada history and Pioneer by this place. We have a great time and experience event hough hot hot weather.
It is a beautiful place to visit. We loved it.
Wonderful afternoon. Loved the history lesson. Well done!
Very informative...Ice box in the peel house stood out the thermos cooling effect...it wonder-stuck me when i was told Ice was harvested during winter n supplied as needed. A small village replica...time well spent.
Fascinating place to visit. Knowledgeable staff, leisurely visit
If you want to experience what was like in 19th century London, Ontario, this is the place! Less touristy, which makes it even better!
The Halloween walk was a blast, highly recommended, but the ending was rather abrupt.
It's so beautiful here. Stepping back into time lets you just breathe for a moment
Should the bus services available all the days to go the tourist.
Very nice
Lovely place. If you love history you will enjoy it there. They have activities for kids too.
Went to the children's water festival . Well done!! Lots if fun and educational too!
Amazing place to learn the history of the life of first European immigrants to Ontario. We visited on a day where there were lots of activities (dancing, teaching class, ceremony, ...) and they were all amazing. The staff and guides there were very knowledgeable and cheerful. The horse ride around the village was free. This visit worth more than any school history lesson. Highly recommended, especially to family with kids!
wow
Great place to take your kids to learn how we use to live back then, just some interior shots from different dwellings.
Awesome, amazing haunted house!!! Well done!
I love this place. My husband and I just went to their Halloween Haunt and it was great fun. They did an awesome job, we had a blast. We'll definitely be coming back.
Had fun at the halloween horror
A great way to get kids interested in history.
A very interesting place to enjoy the day with the family. I really recommend it.
Great place to visit!
Difficult to get to without a car
It was nice. Sadly, the Gypsy Moth infestation has wreaked havoc.
Nice
Relaxing and informative. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Great place to spend an unhurried summer day.
We have always loved the Pioneer Village and have taken all of our children, including our dog, here for various events. I've never had a bad experience. My husband and I are much looking forward to the upcoming Haunted Village tour.
Very friendly actors. Beautiful fall venue. A little short, but quite enjoyable
It's so much fun! Come the Zombie Apocalypse, I'd be more than happy to pull stakes and restart society here. Back off- the Dr's house and garden are MINE! ;) ... ALSO, we got happily married here 11 years ago
Fanshawe Pioneer Village has many dedicated volunteers who help educate visitors as they enjoy the village - worth the visit
Beautiful location. I entertained there and loved it.
Very well maintained and quite a learning experience
The Village was closed when we arrived; however, the gate was open so we wandered in when an overweight/bearded man driving a Ram came up to us and started to 'insult and demean' us for entering the village (even though the gate was wide open). Do you always talk to tourists that way???? Also, we were charged full fare to enter the park and we assumed that the Village was open. I'll never go back there, and I recommend that you don't go there either.
Dragon boat races were so much fun to watch! Lovely atmosphere at the festival
Fun place to visit to learn London history
My dear friend got married here and it was amazing. The venue was beautiful and staff was great. I would just advise them to pre-warn women that they may need to bring back up flats or wear wedges????
(Translated) Excellent place. I loved the museum and the way they show and explain you. They transport you to the time of the 19th century (Original) Excelente lugar. Me encantó el museo y la forma en que te muestran y explican. Te transportan a la época del siglo XIX

large area for various events
Open during lockdown yes or no??
Excellent self guided tour with volunteers giving info along the way. So sad that covid has stopped the schools from going.
For the rest of June,2012, admission is 25 cents per person, take this opportunity and visit before our city hall decided to close its doors for good. Due to poor visitor volumes(profit).
Beautiful place I loved it !
Pros: Price is $9 per adult Free parking Cons: I was expecting to see more people wearing costumes and doing different stuff. Most of buildings were without any animators and, thus, it looked more like a museum. Territory is quite small and it took us 1 hour to go all the way across. If you are coming from away it doesn’t worth that More info: There are a conservation area near by, so you can go for a bbq, ect. Lots of people were canoeing there.
This place has so many things to do and such a great history to it, if you are into the history of places they give so much information it is amazing
Beautiful gem right in the city. Adorable chapel and banquet hall.
Fun for everyone
It was a great experience visiting there in the old 17th century village. If you really get to know about the living style 200 years earlier you must visit there once, believe me, you will get fascinated like me. I highly recommend this place to the new generation people.
We saw the fireworks for 20 May 2019. We had a good spot by the lake. It costs $20 per car to get in.
good place to know more about Canada history
Always a good time!
Other than a glitch parking, I thought the Village was a ghoulish Halloween treat.
Time period staff were very informative
Haunted Village was pretty sweet.
This is a great place for a relaxing time. Wander through and talk to the "pioneers". It is an outdoor museum. Well run on a small budget. Great food in the cafe. Well kept facilities. Interesting exhibits
Had a wedding at the main hall. Good times
I love this place and the staff is always friendly.
Lots of friendly knowledgeable staff. Interesting authentic local history.
Surprisingly fun, for all ages.
History live
Beautiful place to enjoy during covid. Wine there with our 3 year old. Worth going from oshawa. Very friendly staff and great ambiance. Value for money too!!
Lovely park paying tribute to local European pioneers. It is fading with a lack of public interest, unfortunately, and needs a reboot as an event centre and wouldn't it be nice if there were a craft brewery featuring retired Labatt recipes on site? An early Labatt brewery building is part of the collection of structures open to the public. Paul Peel house and London Free Press building are also highlights. Great spot for photography.
This is a large exhibit. It is very well done and we stayed much longer than we anticipated. It is clear they have put a lot of time and thought into this. The staff is great, except the teenage boy guides who obviously they were there just for the money. The food options and general store were a little disappointing. For food, it was primarily convenience-store style food. However, the ice cream was great. As for the general store--before we stepped into the park we were excited to go to the general store and seeing the period food and candy. However, once we got to the store we were disappointed to see it will just filled with tacky modern tourist trash. Plenty of alcohol related graphic tees, chips, and soft drinks. There wasn't any hard tack candy or classic foods. Was definitely worth admission and we wrote very impressed. We will be coming back.
We had our wedding here this past Saturday and the venue was amazing everyone had a fantastic time. We held our ceremony in the Trinity Church and our reception in the village barn. The Fanshawe Pioneer village provided a great experience for locals and out of town guests as they were waiting for us to complete our photos they were able to walk through and learn about the historical buildings. Five stars is not enough. Bob Graham was an amazing help through planning and pulling off our event!
Best Halloween experience in my life ????????????☠️
I had a great time here with my family
We had a blast here!
Unexpectedly great wedding venue!
Great first hand history class for kids!
Wonderful time at the midnight village
Awesome. A top notch historical attraction in Middlesex County.
Great exhibits and staff!
Had a great time at there haunted village!
Charged $15 into the park. was told pioneer village was open. It wasn't.
Feels just like you walked back in time. Beautifully laid out and easy to imagine living in a town from years gone by.
Amazing place for family picnics
Absolutely excellent. I went for their haunted village. Live actors, professionally done and immersive. Absolutely would recommend
I love this place because of the history and information they provide about how a small town worked.
Fantastic - really appreciate the living history interpreters who bring the story to life by not just being a person in period costume but by 'being' the person portrayed weave a great story filled with anecdotes and historical facts.
Interesting place to visit. Not very convenient to get to, but lots of things to learn. Good canteen.
Best place to visit in London area.
went to take pictures in the pretty fall colours. Was perfect
Free Admission on Canada Day (July 1st) Fanshawe Pioneer village is full of great learning experiences by taking you back 200 years. There are games and fun activities to keep visitors from all ages entertained and occupied. There is also a small café where you can get drinks and ice cream. The staff and volunteers are very knowledgeable and dedicated. Thank you for a great time!
Great place for an 1812 reenactment!
Free admission today and glad I'm didn't have to pay 14 dollars. Really not much to do there.
Enjoyed their Haunted Village event. They went all out with the 6 haunted spots on the site. It must have been like 30 to 40 minutes to get through them all. What an incredible treat. I am definitely going back next year.
Lots fun with son and g-parents
A great place to learn the history of Ontario. Great exhibits and re enactors for verbal explanation. Each weekend is a different to.
We started to walk through the village and we're approached by a young woman who stated that we were not allowed. There were no signs indicating it was closed. I guess before going out we need to check on line to see what is open or closed. What happened to just going for a walk...?????
Have fun while learning! Great place for a day out with the kids.
This park combines two of my favourite things 1) history in the form of many structures that stood throughout the different settlement periods in the London area and 2) a pleasant stroll between buildings replete with fresh air, green scenery, and a few cultivated flowers. (Also, interestingly, curious groundhogs greet at every corner.)
Nice atmosphere. Good way to waste away the afternoon. All the people working here are fantastic.
A great pioneer village. A real gem!
Even though the groups were small this year. Halloween events through the Pioneer village are always a good time. They did an excellent job.
Beautiful place, peaceful and relaxing.
They are true to their slogan of big on history, big on fun! It is a museum but not your typical museum in an enclosed space. The staff know their stuff, friendly and welcoming towards children who have millions of questions about the unique and unusual things they see around. It is rich in information, a place where you seem to be walking toward the past.
The haunted building even was insane! They put so much effort and detail into it, I was super impressed!
Not bad, not for kids over 14. Would not advise going on a hot day as the houses get very stuffy and you are walking around all day.
I visited for the Christmas market and I think they did a fantastic job with their COVID protocols! Would love to visit again for other events.

Excellent place for resting)))
Went to escape room here. It was great! Lots of fun with actors with you.
Beautiful space year round. Great for all ages. The staff and volunteers are welcoming and have a clear passion for local history. Enjoy!
I'm guessing it's good because it's History
Great place for outdoor experience
We got to meet our first Prime Minister...and his wife...in a historical recreation...lots of fun
Loved it good for the whole family
Interesting to learn about history
Very friendly place to be. Educational
the haunted house this year was a great experience. very scary
Its closed so I just walked by
Great venue for a small outdoor wedding.
Absolutely loved itttttt
(Translated) Beautiful place, do not stop visiting it. (Original) Bello lugar , no dejen de visitarlo.
We just recently had our wedding ceremony their and while it made for really good pictures the staff was horrible. we were told we would have a designated spot to get changed and get ready. we had to change in a public bathroom with people coming in and out!! not once did the coordinator come out and ask if we needed anything or even to give us congrats. even for the rehersal part the day before no one came out to give us any direction, they actually locked us in the village while still doing our rehersal and we had to wait for someone to come let us out!! they had also booked a wedding right after ours so we were rushed to get out of the way. even at the end when we were walking out of the village theirs a big hill that my bride and I had to walk down which wasnt an easy task for her in heels a man drove past us in a golf cart and wouldnt give her a ride down the hill. dont let the pictures fool you the staff here have no idea what they are doing!!!
Really cool family friendly environment. Staff clearly love their work.
A must to see when in the area.....lots of guide actors to give the history.
Fanshawe pioneer village has preserved some of the best early houses and farm buildings that I've seen around. The stores in the village are a little bit on the expensive side, but who wouldn't want some icecream at the end of the day! Oh, and be prepared to walk.
Great people great place even with covid restrictions.
Very beautiful place
Lovely historical village.
Lots of history to see.
Atmosphere for the haunted house was amazing, loved the actors
I have always enjoyed Fanshawe Pioneer Village. This was the first time I have been there this late in the year. I was there for the Christmas market. It was great,.... the weather was a little cool but perfect..... the booths looked so great with all the wares displayed, the lighting at night made the village sparkle... Everything was organized to keep everyone safe. Had a great time!
Amazing pioneer village ! Definitely bring your children here . I loved every bit of it here. They had so many donated buildings preserved in this location. And the area is just beautiful to get lost into. Keep on the lookout for different events because we came on Doggy day which was fantastic.
Fantastic well worth the C$9 to get in. Staff really friendly and knowledgeable.
Lot of historic details to learn about specially Free Press
Haunted maze was amazing
Loved it!
Dint get much time to spend.. but loved the concept.. esp the school class we attended???? liked the hide n seek trees in front of entrance!!! Wud love to drop back again!!
Very intresting the historical place :-)
Amazing experience we went for the abandoned village and the staff was super amazing, they did an amazing performance and were really kind.
We were there for day for the dogs and had lots of fun.
Enjoyable experience for fans of local history. The ancillary events they put on at Hallowe'en, Christmas, and in the summer are exceptional visually.
Well cared for. Lovely step back in time!
it looks nice but didn't get inside as we were late.
It's a great experience everyone stays in character and some really do have huge sticks up there butts like people of this era. I do prefer the sugarbush, everything I'm mentioning is technically the same area, Fanshaw conservation park here is beautiful too. You can camp and they have a few gorgeous sites. Come here with people who enjoy being outside alot otherwise leave them elsewhere and take a hike here while eating maple syrup alone ????

While it is closed for the season, it a beautiful Winter Scene while hiking Fanshawe'sTrails
I love Fanshawe Puoneer Village. I find it so relaxing to walk around the buildings and I always seem to see something new everytime I go there. Looking at the trees, the water on the drive in from the main road is calming. There were lots of cyclists and people walking enjoying the scenery too when we were there.
i loved my time here. it took us about 2 hours to go through the whole village. we saw them make pioneer bread and we also got to feed the chickens! everything is well maintained and thoroughly explained via the awesome staff or small text. if you are a history fan this is definitely a place to visit!
Fun way to learn Canadian history
Fanshawe pioneer village Spriet Community Center is a wonderful place to hold a wedding reception. It is bright and beautiful.
This is a beautiful, historic area. It's great for Reenactments and weddings.
It has been years since I've been to Fanshawe Pioneer Village. This time I returned with my mother on a day trip with the Alzheimer's Society. We had a 1 hour lecture on Canadian history and local highlights. It was well done and put the Village in context to what we would see. Then we had a guided tour with commentary provided by the Program Coordinator, fully costumed in period pieces. She set the stage with vivid descriptions of who would have inhabited each building. Whether a homestead, one room school house, general store or tavern, there was a fine example in the Pioneer Village. You can walk around and visit the inside if most of the buildings. Be sure and stop at the General Store and the Brewery (donated by Labatts). There is also live stock loaned out by local farms to lend a level of authentic charm. Opened from late May to early October this is a great place for intergenerational travel. Take the family and enjoy. This is a great Instagram location.
This museum was so cool it showed you through time what living in Canada looked like nice people and a fun place to visit on the weekend.
Nice place to visit
Spent an enjoyable night there. Very interesting and informative. I love history and learning about it and everything about this place personifies it. I would love to go there more often and soak on the atmosphere .
Went to a wedding here it was a great venu
Beautiful place, great to spend an afternoon with family!
Great place!
The Abandoned village was brilliant. Myself and the kids loved it! It was terrifying and so well done. The location of the pioneer village was the perfect spot. What an amazing Halloween adventure. Thank you to all involved. Well done!
Great ghost show this year.
My wife and I were at the haunted village and it was great. Every year the Halloween stuff that is done is really to attend.
This place is great! I love the Halloween event here.
We really enjoyed this trip with the grandchildren. It was both educational and fun. They had various games to play, and all the staff were very happy and kind. The young lady at the toll booth was exceptional, bubbly and kind. Overall, we had a great experience and we hope to go back! 5 stars!
Visited for their winter market event. Was a great way to spend a snowy afternoon. Got great pictures and heard great Christmas carols. Wonderful way to bring Christmas alive for the kids.
Haunted house, xmas market. All great uses for this at off times of the year.
Great place for kids and adults alike. I thought it was great that they had the vilage separated by time period.
It's okay to visit for boating canoeing and camping but you can not go swimming in the lake when it's warm out to cool off you can go hiking as Will the pioneer village is close and the safety village is close to
Enjoyed a visit here. A lot of historic buildings brought together to give an idea of life in Canada for settlers. You can see the changes in building finish as wealth increases.
Awesome day. Would absolutely go again!
It deserves to be preserved however seems to be almost abandoned. Very sad to see lack of everything. When it opens, you barely find an employee for assistance or information, they seem to have a different time from the venue?!?...
The abandoned village for Halloween was INCREDIBLE!!! very well done and very scary!! Loved it
This Living History museum depicts the history of London and Middlesex (Ontario) from 1820 to 1920. It first opened in 1959, and continues to evolve to this day.
Beautiful venue for a beautiful wedding.
Very educational. Worth the visit
We took family photos there and it was great! We were able to book it for a fee on a day it was closed so we had the place to ourselves. It was perfect for the scenery
(Translated) It is a unique place that transports you to the time of the pioneers. Everyone that makes up the town acts as if you were really living at that moment in the history of Canada. They are very friendly and explain everything you need to know in great detail. Completamente inolvidable.
Hauted village was great. Loved the walk through with nobody else but my girlfriend. Really added to the atnosphere
Good for kids
Very quaint. Nicely laid out and authentic.
Relaxing and informative. Clean facilities. Friendly staff. Great place to spend an unhurried summer day.
Was a terrific adventure
Five stars. Staffs are very polite, patient, and welcoming. They spent a lot of time telling you everything about this village and answering all questions you have. You won't waste your time there!
Half of the buildings locked and no demonstrationsoutside but still charged full price . Not right!!
A fun place for the whole family. Learn about how the pioneers of Western Ontario lived. Includes the home of Wilfrid Jury a famous London physician. Depending on the day you go they have events and people in costume.
We went for the Hallowe'en event . It was reasonably priced and was done very well . I would certainly recommend to anyone who likes scary stuff . It takes a lot to scare me and although the people did a very good job of trying to scare us I can usually pick out the real characters from the fake . There were lots of screams from others around us . It must be fun to get dressed up and portray scary people . I would have loved to do this when I was younger . It took about a half hour to go through . The pathways were well lit with some old lanterns as well as solar lights and electrical ones as well . There was a fairly full moon which also added to the effects .
Had a great time here. The food shack place is good. The water is pretty funky don't think it would be good to swim here. Saw a bit of litter down by the water just past the pioneer village
Great visit during covid. The staff are wonderful and there were very few people. The restaurant is closed this season for covid but the general store has some extras.
Was amazing for the haunted mazes and pre-covid the hayrides. They do such a great job and others and I enjoyed ourselves.
Loved the opportunity to photograph some history
Fantastic event for Christmas!
Great place, for all ages, to learn local history. Staff is very friendly.
Very interesting and enthusiastic staff for school trip! They really enjoyed it.
Beautiful Place
Like stepping back in time. A great experience
It was Anne of Green Gables day today. The reinactors and volunteers where friendly and informative. My granddaughter thoroughly enjoyed the activities and going through the buildings. My mom was remembering when she was young. We really enjoyed ourselves.
Awsome
An hour journey through time.
Nice visit for an aftrrnoon
A great way to spend the day. A nice little restaurant and a day full of history.
I recently got married here. It was the most horrible experience ever! Bob said he would have things done for me that were not done and he left my guests to wander the village trying to find where the wedding was. He left the place messy and made my groom have to clean it all up. When I complained about it, Bob was very rude and inconsiderate. I will expose him for the horrible attitude and managing skills he lacks. Get married elsewhere! Never do it here.
Beautiful place to go
Not to bad general store closed day I went if in Hamilton area Westfield just as good
Fun couple hours for younger children
Was great
The village is very fun and a good place to visit with a friend or family members.
Just completed their Halloween adventure with my. A great job was done by all. Really enjoyed it.
Was a wonderful experience when visiting from NS. Highly recommend.
Wonderful,pleasent,calming
Wonderful walk through history. Great staff to share stories of growth of London. Beautiful setting. Reasonable admission, $255 for two adults and a child.
As a homeschooler, I was very pleased with the amount of interactions staff have with their guests! I felt like there were quite a few places closed but it didn't affect the overall beautiful and welcoming village.
I give FPV a great rating because we love going there. Always a fun time and great learning at the same time. We were very sad today when we got there with family visiting from away. Super excited to see the village and make Christmas things. The page said it was open 9 to 4. We got there and clised. The man we found said it was closed Thanksgiving weekend. We mentioned the post about hours and he was appologetic. We left and spent a great day elsewhere but we really did want FPV.
History well displaywed
I love it...
Amazing place to visit
They had a escape room event which was lots of fun and the actors were amazing
The greenery the atmosphere is Mesmerizing
Expensive to get into the park
Great spot to spend 2 to 3 hours with family. Interactive village with guides role playing. They are kid friendly and share interesting facts of different periods of time.
Best atmosphere and wings
We went during Halloween. It was crazy amazing !! The abandoned village !! We have soooo much fun and they did an amazing job !
SO much fun, lots of homes & some friendly interpreters, great walk to beautiful view of the lake, absolutely will go again
Very nice place to visit will go again
As out of the way it can be for a casual visit, this place is a gorgeous place to historical education a preservation of vintage buildings arranged like a 19th Century Canadian village.
