You have the reviews of people like you who buy the services and products of Eldon House (Museum) in the area close to London (Canada).
At this moment this firm receives a score of 4.6 stars over 5 and this rating is based on 127 reviews.
As you can see the average of ratings is practically the best one, and it's based on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can say that the assessment is quite faithful. If there are many people who bothered to leave their feddback when they are satisfied, it works.
As you know, we do not usually stop to write evaluations when these are positive and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Museum is classified in the category of Museum.

The gardens are very lovely

A 19th century home turned museum in downtown London, filled with original furnishings and decor once owned by the Harris family. Admission is by donation, where you can take a self guided tour of the house or one provided by their …

Must see in London. Actually, it might be the only good thing about that city that usually looks like trash more than anything else. This place has very beautiful gardens well taken care of and a magnolia that is 200yo!

A heritage house with a prominent past with a lot of history.

Awesome historic visit. A must see

Great spot for afternoon tea! Great value! The food is great! Amazing history within the Eldon house! I really liked the live harp and violin music while we were having tea on the grass!

Loved it! Very unique beautiful house inside and out. Really cool and odd decorations. Great place to visit

Disappointing. Went there for afternoon tea. Were briskly told, "well be with you shortly" . Waited 20 minutes with no sign and left

A historical treasure. Must see when in London Ontario.

Our tour guide Cathy was very knowledgeable, each visit is always unique and filled with little gems.

The history-family and city- is amazing that no history book can teach, one must experience to appreciate ones own history and background. All Londoners should and must visit this landmark

Superb everybody should atleast visit with family and friends

Me and my wife went here when we werenon vacation. We were pleasantly suprised to find out everything is near original Victorian era. Beautiful chandeliers and original wallpaper, gorgouse BC wood ceilings and decor was all in the same era. The grandfather clock was especially amazing it still worked after 100 plus years!!! Highly recommended!! Entry is on donation.

Excellent, all the people should know it

Very charming and interesting place. Visiting it is totally worth it.

Great place to visit! You need at least an hour to visit the entire house. If you are interested about the details you need one more hour :)

Very interesting historic site. Go on their website as they are very active in providing unique things to do.

Lovely afternoon tea and gorgeous gardens. You forget you're in downtown London. I'll visit again post-pandemic

Well worth the look back into the way the wealthy lived in London

Cannot rate properly as was closed due to covid

I enjoyed Eldon House. It is a well maintained old Victorian home. Best of all, it's free! I went with my friend. Keep in mind, we parked in a paid parking lot nearby.

Recognizing *what a reach did at that time.

Great guided tours and excellent staff! I definitely recommend.

Very interesting and worth the visit.

So beautiful , most valuable place.

This is a beautiful home that would be a must-stop location on any tour of historical sites in London, Ontario. This historical site is close to downtown. There is also a historical marker for the Ridout Street Complex just down the street, so make sure you find that too.

No I'm sure we must have gone, I have no recollection of going here on a class trip in school. So this was our second stop on our day of being tourists in our own City. Quite enjoyable.

Explored the grounds on a beautiful fall afternoon

Very nice historical place.every piece is a treasure

Beautiful house...I wish I could have been there for Halloween...

Absolutely beautiful place! London Urban Sketchers did a sketch session here and we had an awesome time while physically distancing of course!

Lovely place to walk by the river

Such an amazing place. There are many eye capturing pieces in the house and the amazing part is it's free. I would recommend everyone who is new to this place and want to become more familiar with the city. I would love to visit it again.

Enjoyed the Behind-the-Ropes tour.

Beautiful historic home one of the oldest homes in London belonging to the Harris family . Admission is by donation

Lovely historic property that has been impeccably maintained

Great historical place in downtown London, so many artifacts and hunting trophies. Will go again.

Fantastic place to visit with the family. Full of history and authenticity. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable, they organize events for all ages. Well maintained and easy to walk around, access to the second floor is by stairs only. I liked the main hallway decorations and the comments around the house with interesting information.

Nice Heritage. Worth Visit

High tea outside was great

Great museum!

Wonderful experience. It was great being able to see the artifacts and where people lived. Look at the clock.

I love this house. We were greeted and given a brief history of the home. We had a nice time her.

Love Eldon house and visiting the house has such rich history my children and I Love this place

We had tea on the lawn and it was absolutely lovely! The tea was great, and the selection of treats was even better than expected. A really beautiful spot to relax for a while — feels like you’re far from the city centre!

This is not an inspiring place to visit. A total waste if time.

Full Tea and a self guided tour is a must for anyone visiting our living in London Ontario Canada

A wonderful Place to take a tour of an learn of London's history, and after the tour relax and have tea in the garden!

Eldon House is a historic house and museum located in London, Ontario. The Eldon House property was converted into a public park, now called Harris Park. Eldon House is the oldest continued residence in the city of London. It was inhabited by the family of John and Amelia Harris from 1834 until they gave it to the City of London in 1959. The original owner, Captain John Harris, named Eldon House after the Earl of Eldon, whom he admired. As a museum, Eldon House offers tours and programming including yearly events such as Canada Day, Victorian Christmas, and in city-wide celebrations of heritage and culture. The Museum is affiliated with CMA, CHIN, and Virtual Museum of Canada.

I love that they preserved good relics and the house is so facinating.

Great museum of London Ontatri

Historic house museum, built in 1834, so beautiful!

Great place to visit, amazing artifacfs and very historical. Glad they preserved the home and land so well. Kèep in mind there is no entrance fee but a donation starting from 5$ is an awesome way to keep this home always looking great

No charge to get in, just a donation. Knowledgeable staff eager to help.

Really friendly guide and the house was interesting to visit

It was amazing visit. I liked the people who took care of visitors, generous, polite, knowledgeable, and caring.

Overall a very fascinating experience.

Booked delicious full tea on the lawns of beautiful grounds. Interesting house, with a lot of history. Fun visit.

Beautiful heritage house in downtown London, lovely tea and sandwiches and sweets ,check for special events if you want tea.

A small but interesting museum. Adults and kids all enjoyed alike.

Nice old home... Needs more story to engage

A family tradition for tea in the garden. Reservations are suggested.

Fantastic education tour with our Sparks & Brownies. Facilitators kept the learning age-appropriate, fun and engaging.

Extremely interesting and well preserved. Love the history behind it too.

It's a nice place to tour. There is a lot of history here.

Nice little museum which gives lots of history about London. The rooms are still full of original furniture and have mannequins with original clothing that was worn. The staff members were very knowledgeable.

Great house and staff!!

Interesting self guided tour. Fun place to stop in. Cost is by donation. Knowledgeable staff.

Very interesting home, worth the visit that takes you back a 100 years.

I recently went to a "winter tea" where my partner won a "behind the ropes tour". A representative from Eldon House called to tell us this and informed us that we would be receiving our tickets through e-mail for the 20th of January. This was over a month ago. When we called to try to inquire as to the status of this, we never received a call back/answer. Definitely a little disappointing.

Beautiful heritage house in downtown London, lovely tea and sandwiches and sweets ,check for special events if you want tea.

Love this place. People over there are very nice

Wonderful old heritage home with big wrap around porch and gorgeous Victorian gardens that looked down on the river. It was 9 acres but they donated Harris Park. Perfect spot for high tea, and i have been having tea there since 1990. Unfortunately this year they have a bakery putting on tea, and its awful. Tried to book for 3 days and no one would answer the phone. We dropped in Sunday and were the only ones there. The scones were hard and small, and still frozen in the middle. There were 2 tiny squares (total, not each) for 2 of us, and 4 small strawberries. When i told my concerns to the owner, she was defensive and rude. Couldn't be more disappointed.

Amazing.. It's the First House in London,ON

It sure does a good rep of the good old days

it's a great place with Rich history. many generations of the same family lived there and you can feel the changes in their life with time and how this change has impacted the house itself. there are many events taking place in this building. you can come for tea party or a fundraiser event. you will enjoy it if you like history. you can take some amazing pictures inside and outside the building with the styles of the 18th century don't forget to get dressed properly. we have visited the place on Canada day.

Love history and London's heritage.

So much to look at.

The house is pretty amazing and interesting, that's why two stars. The tea party events they hold during the summer are not worth the 12$ IMO, it's pretty standard tea, supermarket scones and they are extremely skimpy on the butter/jams (half a teaspoon skimpy), one really shouldn't have to send the staff to grab more more than once :(

A summer tradition to go for tea.

Went here for the full high tea experience! The food was absolutely delicious and the house tea blend was great, all for an amazing price. Not the same quality as more high end locations (like Niagara) but still tasty/ a good experience.

Very fun.

A time capsule in the heart of London. Excellent experience in a museum.

Beautiful, what more can I say.

For the history of London or for holidays like Canada Day or New Years Day, Eldon House cannot be missed for an esquiste look at a vintage mansion that was the former residence of the wealthy Harris family.

Very beautiful place
