If you love Hank Snow, or if you're into classic country western singers, or if you have Canadian music pride, or if you're into trains and old stations, or if you're interested in local celebrity and history then this is definitely the place for you to check out!! 2019 admission rates are very modest, $5 for adults $4 for seniors. personally, I suggest paying the admission and then giving them a donation as well. It's very difficult for Museum like this to stay open in today's economic climate. the Hank Snow museum is located inside the old Liverpool Nova Scotia train station. The train station was decommissioned in the early 1980s. Because Hank Snow was from this area and because Hank Snow enjoyed the railroad and actually spent a lot of time hanging out in a local Railroad station, it was just super appropriate to have the museum in the station. it's not a huge Museum but it is very thorough and it's not just Hank Snow, it also pays tribute to other Canadian country western singers. Very interesting, I actually didn't realize we had so many talented singers that came from this area of the world. A very thorough depiction of Hank Snow's life and rise to fame and is personal life and a great collection of some of the outfits he wore and then a small room also devoted to the train station and some Railway history. The curator was super friendly and really funny and she was a delight. So sorry not to have caught her name but she said she's been working there for 10 years and she was a lovely person to meet. Great gift shop as well, we were happy to drop some money there and support the museum :-)

my mom said: There are only three Canadians who have been inducted in the US Country Music Hall of Fame and they are Hank Snow, Anne Murray and Shania Twain. I could have googled that stuff for correctness but my mom is seldom incorrect about much so if she's wrong I am NOT going to be the one to tell her about it. Back to the Museum - if you're a Country music fan (I am), if you're a Hank Snow fan (I am) and if you're a fan of Canadians from obscure places have international success and achievement (I am) then this is the place for you. Plus, you get to SIT in his CAR!!!! O go on, you know you want to! :)

Before making the drive to Liverpool we checked the website to be sure it would be open. When we got there it was closed I left a message on n the answering machine which promised to call me back No one ever did . Not such a great visit.

Took Archie to to the Hank Snow Tribute. We toured the museum seeing Hank's antique cars, all his album covers, history of his wife born in Nova Scotia and their only son, plus memorabilia like his many elaborate suit suits. Unfortunately, when we went through Lunenburg we were between tribute performances. But it was fun anyway.

Country music lovers or not, this is a great little museum. It is also the Nova Scotia Country music Hall of Fame. Many country music artists were born in NS and there are some interesting pieces of history all contained in an old railway station.
