REVIEWS OF Artillery Park IN Lévis

So fascinating just wondering around the city, seeing the old city walls and stumbling across the old buildings and artifacts. Some restoration work in the broader area impacted a little on the total to be seen, but not on the general impressions. I noticed only afterwards that Parks Canada also offers guided tours, which could have been an enriching addition to the wandering.

Things are very new after renovation. We had a nice tea and discussions with costume actors from two major time periods. If you're into Canadian history, I'd say it's worth it.

Big park with parking and street parking. There is a lot of construction during my visit (June 29/19) but overall still beautiful. Very historical, big ancient gate with walking house to visit city in town. They have giant wall, recommend to walk on the wall (nice view)

We walked here from Lofts Les-Billie, and the kids enjoyed it so much. There was a re-enactment of the war between the French and the British, I believe, the Brits were being “hammered” in the narratives. The crowd loved it, but hey, this is Quebec, they can say what they like, but the French took a whopping from the Brits. The process was light hearted and lots of laughs. There are very good restaurants around the place, with lots of ice cream parlours to me meet every sugar craving taste. I found the prices in the restaurants quiet reasonable, and services fantastic all in all. We ate in a different restaurant and tasted varying ice creams almost every other day on our five day stay.

(Translated) Very beautiful historical site that I recently visited as part of the New France festivities. It must be said that the place is particularly well suited for this event with its historic buildings, places visited for 3 times nothing and its wide open spaces for the installation of tents and kiosks. The place itself is very immersive. Once on the site, almost everything that can be seen is vintage or is a reconstruction of time. I highly recommend.

(Translated) A beautiful place to visit. It is the place that French, English and Canadian officers and soldiers once lived. National park staff are not aware of the different ways to visit the site. There was just one of three who know the free tour app. (Original) Une belle place a visiter. C'est l'endroit que des officiers et des soldats français, anglais et canadien habitaient dans le temps. Great tour of the walls by Parks Canada staff. Loved the interpretation centre and its artifacts. Girls had a great time dressing up in period costumes and taking a picture that was sent to us by email and completely free!

Davis D. Janowski

This little museum and its grounds do not get the attention they deserve, which may be bad for the govt folks that track numbers of visitors, but is good for the weary tourist seeking a quiet place that lacks hordes of tourists. That is just one of its merits, the other for me was that it has so many exhibits showcasing reproduced paintings of how Quebec developed over the centuries. A diorama of the fort is the centerpiece of this endeavor. It becomes obvious, if you were not already aware, of just how much use of the upper town's natural environment in terms of the cliff faces were used to provide a natural defense. And in turn the town and many of its defensive walls grew up around the original fortifications.

Great, small museum, hosted by the Government of Quebec’s Park Services, detailing the history of the fortifications and armaments used to protect the city. Many interactive family events, artifacts, and re-enactment movies in both English and French. The Park Services employees were very helpful and knowledgeable about the history of Quebec and were eager to answer any questions. When visiting Old Quebec City, take a moment and drop by this museum.
