Unimaginative, uninspired, and irrelevant. That’s what you get when you have incompetent and unqualified staff. The new curator to the new executive director are clueless. While other museums are doing ground-breaking work, the Maple Ridge Museum continues to fawn over rocks that look like potatoes.

The staff person who took my call was so helpful! I needed to know how to clean a large fabric piece that my Mom embroidered in 1987, so it could be framed and given as a gift. I learned so much! Now, I plan to visit, to gain more insight re: some family treasures: a quilt dated 1927, a small wooden Little Red Riding Hood doll, and white leather gloves that go all the way to the elbow that my grandmother had. I am petite myself with tiny hands and these are too small even for me! I am looking forward to learning more about their vintage and how to care for these treasures. I am grateful we have an Archivist and staff nearby to ask!

The staff here are so passionate and friendly. Yes, the museum is old and very small but I don't think it needs to have any less of a rating as it is afterall Maple Ridge. We went to see the Billy Minor exhibit and was so intimate and well done. Looking forward to the paranormal activity exhibit for Halloween!

This tiny little house-turned-museum was actually really cool. It's full of artefacts and information about the local history and the people who helped shape and create Maple ridge and the surrounding areas. They're barely ever open, but it's worth the visit l, I think, if you can pop by when they're open!

Had a great walk through, wish I had got the girls names who work there they were so pleasant to talk to, full of original pieces here as well & so much to learn, when you go down to the basement WOW! There is a diorama that has 30+ years of progress on it & still to this day continue to work on it. From what I've learned the last Sunday of the month they open it up so you can get a close up look at it & run the train.

Amazing detail and track layout. First time seeing something like this and it was impressive. The Staff were very friendly and enthusiastic about their displays.

The museum has interesting displays of the history of Maple Ridge and the original settlements. The museum definitely more space because much of the collection is stored. The ho scale railway downstairs is impressive. A depiction of Maple Ridge in the 1930's

Cute little museum, but the real attraction is the caboose outside and the great model train club in the basement (last Sunday of the month only). My kids loved it from ages 3-10 (the museum more for older kids 9-15 only).

Well it's a quiet place where you can sit and enjoy reading the news but they should be a little more clear maybe if they post hrs when you can go inside

Summa Lai

Great little museum, many trains collections. Don’t miss the model trains in downstairs.
