I had a horrible experience, entrance fee was way to high. There are a quite few mistakes about our first nations on the mokotakan site. Installations were not well maintained as a few of the ancestral dwellings are rundown or littered with trash. The audio guide is OK but the owner's did not want to lend them to my kids, who ended sharing my earphones ( yup mine, not the site's) to get the "experience". When we voiced our concerns about the litter and pointed out the numerous mistakes about our Aboriginal people they basically told us off. Quelle déception, coût d'entrée très élevé. Le site est mal entretenue ( bâtiments endommagés) et parsemé de déchets. Il y a des erreurs et des omissions importantes à propos de nos premières nations. L'audio guide est bien mais sans plus.

We arrived 2 families with 4 children from 5 to 8 years and the manager did not stop to tell us that entering with the children in the village will be the worst experience we will live because they will run everywhere, speak loudly etc and they have very strict rules down there. There was no guide on the spot when we arrived but the lady still wanted to charge us the full price if we wanted to take a ride (and that while continuing to tell us that it is downright "put the muzzle "to the children not to disturb too much). On est arrivé 2 familles avec 4 enfants de 5 à 8 ans et la gérante n'arrêtait pas de nous dire que en entrant avec les enfants dans le village sera la pire expérience qu'on va vivre car ils vont courir partout, parler fort etc et ils ont de règles très strictes la bas. Il n'y avait plus de guide sur place quand on est arrivé mais la madame voulait quand-même nous charger le prix complet si on voulait justement faire un tour (et ça tout en continuant de nous dire qu'il faut carrément "mettre la muselière" aux enfants pour ne pas trop déranger). On a tout laissé faire déçus par une telle attitude. Bref pas recommandé si vous y aller avec des enfants.

(Original) La visite est offerte en audioguide bien fait mais malheureusement non simultanés avec les personnes qui vous accompagnent. C'est donc chacun pour soi, durant un peu plus d'une heure. Les écouteurs impossible à ajuster correctement deviennent douloureux pour les tempes à mi-chemin du parcours. Les tarifs sont élevés pour la durée de la visite. Il est à noter que les tarifs sont les mêmes sans audioguide. Le site regorge d'informations (trop pour les jeunes enfants d'ailleurs). Malheureusement, il est difficile de suivre les numéros car il n'y a aucune indication du chemin à suivre. De plus, certains abris sont soit brisés, soit déchirés, soit moisis. Les lieux ne semblent pas entretenus vigoureusement. Il n'y a aucun guide à qui poser des questions sur le site. Les prix sont trop élevés pour l'expérience générale. À la boutique, les prix de certains objets sont convenables, pour d'autres, ridiculement exorbitants. L'accueil qu'on nous a réservé au départ était quelque peu décourageante. Si vous voulez vivre une immersion dans le monde amérindien, passez votre route!

Juste un audioguide sur les oreilles. Panneaux manquants, plein de bric-à-brac un peu partout. Impression que les propriétaires sont justes intéressés à soutirer le maximum d'argent à leurs clients. J'ai demandé des détails sur les ballades à faire dans la région. La réponse à été que tous le chemins partaient en face de l'auberge. On avait l'intention de rester sur place mais vu l'accueil, on est vite répartis sur trois rivières. Je ne le recommande pas.

This is an Auberge with 12 guest rooms. Wonderful owners and nice packed lunch breakfast, due to Covid. It's an older lodge as well as an Indigenous museum of native artifacts. The rooms are fine although a bit rustic with en suite bathroom in unit #9 that we were in. In the heat of summer there is no AC but a fan and windows with screens as it cools down quickly at night, even after a 30C day. No issue sleeping as the beds are comfy and it's quiet during the night. Bonus , it's 750 meters from the Mauricie National park entrance which is spectacular to visit. M&M
