Plaque celebrating two Canadian "pioneers" - Jean Baudet and Marie Grandin. Both arrived in New France in late 1600s. Marie was a Fille du Roi (King's Daughter). Their land concession was along the St. Lawrence River in the vicinity of this memorial.
